What Dramas Am I Watching This Week?

So here's what I'm watching this week! Of course the list is split by country and the amount of episodes I've seen so far are written below! There will be spoilers from now on so if you aren't caught to the episode number on list, you might want to go watch that episode and then come back! FINISHED Find Me In Your Memory (32/32): The story revolves around a man with hyperthymesia, a condition that gives people the ability to remember an abnormally vast amount of their life experiences in vivid detail, and a woman who has forgotten the most important moments of her life. The two people with similar scars fatefully cross paths one day and come to love each other. Jung Hoon is an anchor of a news show which has the highest ratings. Jung Hoon’s handsome face and perfect body figure make him look good in a suit. Unlike his gentle appearances, he becomes a tyrant all of a sudden and starts asking aggressive questions to whoever it is. Because of hyperthymesia, he remembers every single thing happening in 365 days a year ever since his childhood. He can’t forget the memory of the woman he loved, Seo Yeon, who disappeared 8 years ago. A rising star who attracts everyone’s attention, Ha Jin, appears in front of Jung Hoon at that moment. Despite all the attention, Ha Jin doesn’t waver and keeps her confidence. However, she has a secret that her memory is fading away. The man who cannot forget and the woman whose memory is fading away. Will they be able to overcome their difficulties, understand each other, and fall in love at the end?

I'm honestly so sad that I'm ending this great drama on a bitter note cause until these last four episodes, this drama might have been one of my favs of the year but after watching the hot mess it turned into, I'm not so down. This week was all about Ha Jin's return to Korea and how she and Jung Hoon got back together but it all felt so strange cause there wasn't even a question in the two falling out of love so I'm sitting here like why break up at all if you were going to get back together? The point was that Ha Jin left cause she couldn't handle the backlash from the public so why not long distance date? The other thing that annoyed me was that the show did that thing I hate with time skips where nothing about the time skip actually fixed any of the problems we had. The show ended before we could even discuss how the public didn't want Jung Hoon and Ha Jin together so like are we supposed to believe that now people don't care but 2 years ago they did? Or that an interview would fix it and then if that was true why not do that 2 years ago?? I also really wish that Jung Hoon's memory illness had played a bigger role in this show cause other than a few small moments here and there, I think it was underused. Despite all my complaints, I do still think Ha Jin and Jung Hoon were the cutest couple and the two actors had tons of chemistry to the degree that they're even adorable in the behind the scenes videos so at the very least I'll always remember this drama for that! Overall I'd give this show a 9.5 / 10 cause I can totally ignore the ending and enjoy the rest.

Good Casting (6/16): Baek Chan Mi is a legendary agent for the National Intelligence Service. However, due to an excessive operation, one of her subordinates passes away. After this incident, she takes back all hope of returning to the field when she gets an order to go undercover. She begins working as a secretary for Ilkwang Hitech under the name, Baek Jang Mi. She is joined by a single mother, Im Ye Eun, who has the beauty of a girl group member, and Hwang Mi Soon, a housewife of 18 years whose family believes her to be an insurance salesperson. These three women begin to work together. Meanwhile, Ilkwang Hitech’s CEO, Yoon Seok Ho, knew Chan Mi as his tutor and had a crush on her. He can’t help but think that his new secretary, who looks exactly like his first love but has a different name and age, is a bit suspicious.

I was really into the show this week and I kinda feel bad about it cause it makes me look flakey with how one week I love this show and the next I don't. Maybe it's cause I changed the way I was watching this show or maybe it's cause our agents actually managed to keep it together and complete a mission which made me proud. It's definitely official now that Seo is a mole in the NIS though I don't think he's working for Myung like I first thought. It actually seems as though he works for that mystery woman and in this scenario it looks like their goals are alined so the woman sent Seo to help Myung. It's also interesting to note that Tak hasn't mentioned to Myung that the NIS is all up in his business even after basically being fired by Myung but more so that Gwan Soo has noticed that Seo is acting strange and is starting to run ops without his direct supervision. I do wish I knew what Seo wanted and whether or not Gwan Soo could go above his head and report to a different boss cause it makes me anxious that every mission our team takes could be ruined cause Seo is being sketchy. Speaking of Gwan Soo, it was totally lame that the bullet that he was shot with ended up just grazing him rather than hitting him and I'm sitting here like so at point blank range that female assassin missed? Chan Mi needs to figure out that Seo is the reason for all this sketchiness sooner rather than later especially with how Ye Eun is getter closer to realizing that her baby daddy was killed on a mission run by Chan Mi. In other news I still don't understand the point of Seok Ho cause he's clearly being set up as a love interest but I'm over here shipping Gwan Soo and Chan Mi and thinking that Seok Ho unless he's involved with all this is kinda just taking up airtime.

Hospital Playlist Season 1 (10/12): A drama depicting the stories of people going through their days that seemingly ordinary but actually special, at the hospital, a place known as the microcosm of life - where someone is being born and someone's life meets their ending. The five doctors are long time friends of 20 years who started their undergrad in 1999 in the same medical school, and now they are colleagues in the same hospital. The drama will also deal with a story of a band formed by the group of doctors.

I really wish this show would dial down the Gyeo Wool and Jung Won stuff cause no matter how much I watch of it, I don't ship the two and so all the air time for their will they won't they is lost on me. I did think for a second though that maybe Gyeo Wool would fall for Ik Jun instead just cause of the way she looked at him after he gave her roses but there's enough love hexagons in this show that we don't need another! I mean Ik Jun and Chi Yong both like Song Hwa and maybe Seok Hyung does too but I'm still waiting to see where Song Hwa lands cause I'd prefer her with Chi Yong but something about how she rushed over to Ik Jun's house to take care of his son was really sweet. He all but confessed later too when he mentioned how eating with her is the way he treats himself! Other confessions came from Min Ha who confessed to Seok Hyung out of the blue and it looked like she stunned him completely but I have a feeling that he'll end up dating her soon enough cause he seems like the kind of guy who would fall for a girl after she told him she liked him not to mention the fact that Min Ha is a catch! Jung Won also actually made me tear up this week cause there's just something so earnest and adorable about how much he loves the kids he takes care of and I'm really over his old maybe I want to be a priest thing especially since unlike in The Beauty Inside, I can't buy that love is the reason that he would give up the church. It'd make more sense if he did it for his love for his patients. It's also interesting to note that Seok Hyung's mom was all ready for the divorce but then Seok Hyung's dad had a heart attack the morning of the court date and now she's back to not wanting a divorce cause it made her realize that she still loves him.

Oh My Baby (2/16): Aged 39, Jang Ha Ri is the ultimate workaholic. She hasn’t even had a boyfriend in the past decade, long ago decided to forget about looking for love, and instead has thrown her energy into her career. However, as she works as a senior reporter for a parenting magazine named “The Baby,” she is constantly reminded of the one thing she wants most in life – to have a baby of her own. She decides to cut to the chase and try for a baby but wants to skip one key stage – and resolves not to marry. But as she turns her mind to single parenthood, she suddenly realizes that she is surrounded by admirers: freelance photographer Han Yi Sang, super-smart pediatrician Yoon Jae Young, and the office newbie, the doting Choi Kang Eu Ddeum. Could any of these three love candidates help Jang Ha Ri in her quest to become a mother? And could her quest inadvertently send her on the path to true love?

Okay here's the thing about this drama: I really don't love the concept of it but I adore Jang Na Ra so I wanted to give this show a shot anyway. After watching these two episodes I am feeling better about the whole thing though I wish the show would stop commenting on Ha Ri's age cause it seriously gets tiring after a while. She's 39 not 60! The other weird thing is that Ha Ri is so adamant about having a baby but it's like adopt one if you can't have one cause there's plenty of babies out there looking for a good home but I feel like in kdramas that's just not done so instead we've got Ha Ri running from one place to another bemoaning her spinsterhood. It's also just so cringe-y how open she is about her desperation and like it was one thing to do it with her coworkers but when she basically told Yi Sang her whole life story when they're barely even acquaintances, I don't know how she does it! Speaking of, I'm already in love with Yi Sang as who I think is our male lead cause he's charming as hell but it's also kind of hilarious how head over heels he is for Ha Ri when he doesn't even know her yet. Jae Young is fun too but the more important thing is how adorable his baby is. I do think it's a little weird how he just leaves her alone in the house to run errands and stuff and I'm sitting here like I know you don't want to carry that baby around all the time on set but at least give a reason for why she's disappeared. The third male lead hasn't had much airtime yet but he's a baby compared to Ha Ri so I doubt that he'll have much of a role other than a quiet fanboy in the background which honestly I'm fine with. 

Soul Mechanic/Fix You (8/32): How do you deal with anger? Where does happiness actually come from? These questions are at the heart of Fix You, a touching drama about a quirky psychiatrist on a mission to help people heal, and a rising star whose emotional wounds run deep. Lee Si Joon is an eccentric but passionate psychiatrist working in a hospital. He cares deeply for his patients, whom he tries to help through valiant, yet often unorthodox efforts. Han Woo Joo is an up and coming musical actress. Honest and principled, her efforts on the stage seem to be paying off, but she struggles with anger issues and recurring mental breakdowns that threaten to derail her career. With compassion as his tool, can Lee Si Joon help mend her soul and let the healing begin?

Man oh man do I adore this show! I was worried last week with how pissed I was with Si Joon as a doctor but after having a week to get past my anger, I'm mostly over it now and am looking forward. This week was crazy cause we learned that Woo Joo not only has IED but also borderline personality disorder which I know we were told about last week but her symptoms didn't appear until this week. According to Google, BPD is a form of mental illness in which you are terrified of abandonment and so sometimes you'll do things to leave first or you'll do things to catch someone else's attention. It's clear that Woo Joo after being abandoned by her birth parents and being sent from one foster home to another will do things like cutting herself or burning a house down or jumping in front of car to make sure that the people she wants attention from will give it to her and that breaks my heart. Part of me is wondering why Si Joon is treating her so casually cause it's not like she's being admitted into the hospital cause it's not an emergency case but they're also not having therapy sessions like outpatients do. It's especially terrible of him cause she's too far in for him to back out now. Part of me is also wondering why Yong Won recommended her to Si Joon cause I would think that sending a BPD patient to a male doctor would be a big no no cause what if she latches onto the man who's kind to her? I wouldn't entirely mind if the two got together but with how realistically this show is treating mental illness, it feels more squicky to watch a doctor fall in love with his patient than a show like Kill Me Heal Me where the doctor/patient thing is kinda fantastical so I need Si Joon to not be her doctor first. I understand that a patient's death is a scary thing but like practically killing yourself after losing a patient 8 years ago is not normal especially for a doctor so there must be something else going on. The fact that he has such a problem with treating BPD on top of that makes me wonder if he's got it or if the patient who died all those years ago had it.

What Shows Am I Watching This Week?

Hello everyone and welcome back! Let's dive right in shall we?

Batwoman Season 1 Episode 18

I did really enjoy this episode of Batwoman but I'm not sure that I understand where the rest of this season was supposed to go. I still can't help but feel like two episodes ago when Alice was put in prison or last week when the whole guilt storyline came to a close should have been the end of the season. Even if we didn't have our shortened season, the fact that we dealt with our season long villain only to start seeding random new threats this week when there would have been only 5 episodes left felt strange. I mean all of a sudden Julia isn't who we think she is and neither is Reagan. Julia apparently left the British spy service 6 months ago after spitting on everything they believe in and is after this journal that describes how to kill Batman/Batwoman and I'm sitting here like I wonder who she's working for. At first I didn't want to believe that a Pennyworth was bad and it's possible she still isn't but at the same time it would be more drama for the show if she was. Reagan on the other hand reappeared this week and I was like oh interesting only for her to be Magpie's sister and scout and yikes is Reagan in for a bad time in the future cause she's definitely going to get a visit from Batwoman soon. I do have to say though that I'm loving watching Alice rule Arkham cause it feels so Batman to have a villain as the head that allows Batman's Rogues in and out whenever they want. I also really loved the talk that Kate had with Mary about why she tried so hard to keep Mary safe and it was totally sweet cause you know I live for scenes with the two. We also the beginning of Batman Hush storyline with Tommy Eliot which should be interesting cause we don't actually have a Batman.

Next week is the penultimate episode for Batwoman with the whole shortened season thing and I'm excited to see what happens! Hush is on the rampage and Alice escapes only to capture a lot of Team Batwoman.

Fruits Basket Season 2 Episode 5

We met a new Sohma this week who I'm pretty sure was the final zodiac member we hadn't met yet and I high key adore him already! It's funny cause I haven't actually heard anything about Kureno from the Fruits Basket fandom unlike how excited everyone was about Rin last week but honestly I'm more fascinated with Kureno than Rin! He's clearly being set up as Uo's future love interest and this makes me so excited cause obviously I want nothing but good things for Uo and this might be how Uo finds out about the Sohmas and the curse. I had been wondering for a while if Uo and Hana would ever find out about the Sohmas but I assumed that they never would cause they seemed like side characters rather than main ones but I kind of like the idea of them finding love in the Sohma clan too. What's interesting though is that of all the Sohmas, Kureno seems to be the most beaten into submission by Akito cause like he told Uo all he does is go where he's told and I wonder how important he is to Akito cause I assumed that it was Shigure who was closest to Akito but seeing how Akito embraced Kureno at the end has me wondering what's going on! I wish we could learn more about the Sohmas already and what this curse is cause now that we've met all our characters, we need to focus on the plot! I assume that by the end of this show the curse must be lifted or something so let's hop to it please! The other half of the episode was about the kids going to a haunted house and it was all pretty meh though I did think it was funny how exhausted Kyo and Yuki were about the whole thing in the end. 

The Flash Season 6 Episode 18

I was mostly just meh about this week's episode despite it being the penultimate episode. Cisco and Ralph returned this week and Barry told everyone about the Mirrorverse and what happened. Cisco did not take this well cause like Barry he had been living with a mirror copy of his girlfriend and while they were trying to figure out how to get into this Mirrorverse, they met another Godspeed though this one is apparently the real one and all the others were just copies. With Cisco busy and Barry low on speed, they turned to Hartley Sawyer who's the villain Pied Piper in this post-Crisis world again and apparently hated Barry more than before cause Barry accidentally hurt the man he loved. They ended up saving the guy thus Hartley was able to help them stop Godspeed. I do have to say that Godspeed's plan was low key idiotic cause Barry doesn't actually have like any velocity left so wanting Barry to give it up is hilarious. On that note it's still so weird that Barry hasn't built an artificial Speedforce yet and I'm starting to wonder if we'll even get one by the end of this season or if it'll end up being something for later. It would be a good cliffhanger for the season if the last few minutes were of Barry's hand shaking or lightning streaking. Over with Caitlin and Frost, Frost said goodbye to Ralph this week and it felt was oddly final which made me wonder if Danielle would be taking some time off of this show cause of her baby though Ralph got angry with Frost so maybe we'll just really say goodbye to Frost for a bit? Honestly I wouldn't mind this cause I miss Caitlin! Iris also started to suffer from being in the Mirrorverse too long like Eva did with the headaches and the itching but she did find Camilia and I think it would be super cool if this storyline followed Iris back but I have a feeling that once she leaves the Mirrorverse she'll be fine again.

With next week being the finale, the promo seems to be all about how Iris might be succumbing to insanity after being in the Mirrorverse so long but honestly Barry I don't think you should be taking advice from Carver!

Legends Of Tomorrow Season 5 Episode 11

I love Legends so much and I'm so beyond happy that of all the shows that I'm watching currently that Legends was the one to have already finished filming and producing their season so it's not shortened! I had been saying last week that I was curious about what the big problem with this show would be if we had already collected the three pieces of the Loom and had Charlie as a Fate and we got an answer this week. Apparently Charlie is not strong enough to work the Loom on her own but I can't imagine that her sisters would ever help so I'm going to assume that the only way to use the Loom will be to make two of the other women on the ship into Fates and if I had to guess, it'd be Sara who's basically an Oracle already and Astra cause she's been trained to be a Fate by a Fate. This would mean more if we didn't know that John could basically strip the immortality from a Fate cause he did it to Charlie a few seasons ago but there still might be something tragically poetic about Astra finally getting her mother back only to not be able to be with her cause she's no longer attached to the mortal world. I do think it's really cool that Sara's an Oracle now too but once again the fact that she's gone blind probably indicates that she'll be fixed by the end of the season cause while I could imagine that she keeps her future vision powers, I can't see her staying blind. Maybe it's something the Loom can fix too? In other news Mick brought Lita onto the ship and I'm still really not interested in this storyline and that's mostly just cause I don't care for Mick in general. I'm also not thrilled with how Astra spent so much time this week teasing Zari about how she has a thing with John cause I really thought the show was being a fun subtle with this possible relationship but by banging us over the head with oh look at how cute Zari and John are, it's not as fun. It's also ridiculous cause all that happened was that Zari told John that they should get Behrad first and that's not so weird cause Zari did threaten John two weeks ago!

Next week it looks we'll be dealing with frats on a college campus that possibly are under a spell and while that seems hilarious, I'm not sure whether going back to hunting Encores is a great idea since Astra isn't even in Hell to send them but maybe the Fates would think that luring the Legends out of the temporal zone would allow them to get the Loom back.

Tower Of God Episode 6

I low key want to apologize for my meltdown last week cause honestly I think the point of this show is to slowly give us bits of information as we go rather than all at once so I shouldn't be that pissed. We learned a little more about our main characters and the world this week. Apparently everyone who climbs this Tower is ranked into one of five categories but I'm not entirely sure if we're supposed to assume that based on that chart we saw if Fisherman is supposed to be the highest rank just cause it was on top. We do find out that of our main trio, Bam is a Wave Controller which is basically the magician of this world, Khun is a Light Controller which is basically the person who tells the others what to do and how to do it, and Rak is a Spear Bearer which is pretty self explanatory. We also learn that the Princesses of Jahad are simply just women from different families that are adopted as Jahad's daughters and given power. Endorsi as we find out is another Princess so now we've got two and a half in this Tower currently with Yuri on her way to find Bam and Anaak as it turns out not really being a real Princess. We learn through Khun and flashbacks that the Anaak we know is in fact the daughter of the real Princess Anaak and that this Anaak has only taken on her name. Apparently she believes that the real Anaak died heartbroken cause the other Princesses of Jahad killed the man she loved and though I don't know how much I believe that, I'm curious as to why  the Tower Admins aren't worried about Anaak like they are with Bam. I mean the only reason she is climbing this Tower is apparently to kill as many Princesses as possible in revenge and that feels like it should be against the rules! Rachel also came to see Bam and she told Khun to lie to Bam about who she was and though Khun assumed that it was cause Rachel was ambitious like the woman he loved, Rachel seemed to be seriously torn up about the whole thing in the privacy of her room and it makes me wonder what's really going on. She seemed to have a nightmare about Bam leaving her for these new friends he was making but it's like if you're so scared to lose him, why not reach out? It's not like the other competitors are all staying away from each other. 

FINISHED Rivedale Season 4 Episode 19

Honestly I feel like it's unfair to judge this episode like the finale it is cause it normally wasn't supposed to be one. I'm saying this cause as a finale I don't think this episode worked but that doesn't mean that this episode wasn't fun to watch! I actually really liked the whole storyline with Jughead in which we watched him write a story for his college application and saw it play out as if it was happening for real cause it felt like an homage to the old theories that Riverdale viewers had about Jughead's death being a part of his Baxter Brothers novel. I also really liked that it played back to back with what was actually happening in the real world with Mr Honey and the fact that he was attempting to cancel prom. As we learn Honey besides being into creepy videos has been cancelling proms in every school he taught at for some reason and I do have to say it was completely hilarious that the kids all turned to their parents when they needed help and I loved how badass the parents were in getting prom back on. It was the most high school we've ever seen these kids act cause I did totally expect what Jughead was writing to be the way they got their prom back but instead we saw them prank the principal like the kids they are and ask for help! Since we also learned that Honey isn't the one sending the tapes so I'm back to the theory that Charles and Chic are working together on this and I'm not sure I love the weird retcon that despite Honey acting creepy these last two episodes, that he was a good guy after all. I think it's possible that he did both good and bad and yeah it makes sense that he would go to Stonewall. I still don't entirely understand why Jughead lost his spot at Yale other than the fact that Betty wanted it and the show wants to give Betty what she wants but I'm glad he's got some sort of college plan with the University of Iowa. The episode ended on Betty and Jughead watching a video of Honey being killed by them and I wonder what it even means? Could the voyeur be one of the kids?

Harley Quinn Season 2 Episode 6

This week's episode was basically this show's version of Harley Quinn and Joker's first meeting which kind of made the episode a little boring after how much I enjoyed last week's episode. I know it's needed for the people who watch this show and don't know Harley's backstory but honestly I'm pretty sure like Bruce Wayne losing his parents, everyone and their mother know that Harley was a therapist who fell in love with Joker. It's especially a weird place to put this episode cause it would have made more sense in season 1. I do like the idea that Joker falling into that vat of acid made me human again and erased his memories but I have a feeling that at some point, maybe even by the end of this season, Joker will end up losing this new family he has and return to being Joker. I mean after all his whole thing is that one bad day can turn anyone evil. I also liked the reveal that Harley actually didn't get Joker's real childhood back then and that he actually used Ivy's backstory to trick Harley cause it's seriously such a Joker move. Harley always thought that she meant more to Joker than she did and this was a nice way to remind the audience why the two are toxic. It's also interesting to note that Joker mentioned in the flashback that he did kill Jason Todd so now we know that Batman had a Robin before Damian and that there might be a Red Hood out there but I'm still waiting on Dick!

I'm starting to think this show made a bit of a mistake in their pacing cause everything felt rushed this week but I can't decide if it's because the show spent too long with Ha Jin's stalker or if it's because the show decided to introduce a brand new storyline too late in the game with Yoo's book on Jung Hoon. Like I have soooo many problems with this book and the fact that Yoo didn't get Jung Hoon's permission to write about him so it's a total lawsuit in the making cause he broke doctor/patient confidentiality but I really was disappointed in how little it mattered in the end. Not only did I expect public backlash from him being ill but I also wanted a bigger fallout from the betrayal. Jung Hoon mostly just ignored the book and his private life being outed and even the public mostly forgot about it and instead focused entirely on how Jung Hoon dated both Seo Yeon and Ha Jin which is not the storyline I wanted. I also really don't understand this second breakup that Ha Jin and Jung Hoon are going through. The first one made so much sense cause of course Ha Jin would need a minute in order to get her thoughts in order but this second breakup is not only too close to the first breakup we went through but also it makes Ha Jin feel so flakey cause every time the two run into a problem, she runs! I wanted to see the two support each other through this mess and really all they had to do to change public sentiment was explain that Ha Jin and Seo Yeon drifted apart after Ha Jin broke her ankle and that Ha Jin and Jung Hoon didn't meet until more recently! I also think it's annoying that we had a time skip cause you all know I think they're a symbol of lazy writing. Time skips are used as a bandaid to fix what the writers didn't want to take the time to do and it makes everything that happened before feel meaningless. Jung Hoon resigned from being the news anchor cause of the backlash only to completely reverse that a few minutes later like surprise time skip plus a new president equals Anchor Jung Hoon again! The finale is next week and I'm honestly just so sad that this show which was so incredibly written until now is becoming a mess.

After this incident, she takes back all hope of returning to the field when she gets an order to go undercover. She begins working as a secretary for Ilkwang Hitech under the name, Baek Jang Mi. She is joined by a single mother, Im Ye Eun, who has the beauty of a girl group member, and Hwang Mi Soon, a housewife of 18 years whose family believes her to be an insurance salesperson. These three women begin to work together. Meanwhile, Ilkwang Hitech’s CEO, Yoon Seok Ho, knew Chan Mi as his tutor and had a crush on her. He can’t help but think that his new secretary, who looks exactly like his first love but has a different name and age, is a bit suspicious.

I'm debating whether or not I'm disappointed in this show this week and I hate that cause I was so into this show last week. The thing that drives me crazy about kdramas is that the villains are ALWAYS five steps ahead of the heroes in any and all investigation/revenge dramas and cover stories never stay hidden. I mean we literally just started this story and Director Tak already knows that Chan Mi is a NIS agent but she doesn't know he knows and we already are too late in stopping lkwang Hitech’s research from leaving the lab cause our agents are incompetent. It keeps feeling like we're barely hanging on and it always just makes me wonder why writers like to write like this cause all it does is make the NIS look like idiots. Of course Michael keeps getting away cause this team (guys included) can barely do one thing without being caught or screwing up. Honestly I shouldn't expect anything cause this show is a comedy but I can't help the way my brain works! Another interesting thing to note is the fact that this show isn't really playing the whole guessing game in terms of who's the mole. We already know that Director Myung is the rat selling tech to Michael which lkwang Hitech's lab researches and Woo Won's manager dropped off in Taiwan/China cause of Woo Woon's celeb schedule. The identity of Michael seems to be the actual guessing game we'll be playing but I low key wish that he was just some rando cause it makes no sense to do all this stuff with hiding tech in Taiwan if the guy it needs to be delivered to works in the same building! I do want to shout out the editing in this show cause it's still the best part and I was loving the way the flashbacks were done this week especially the one like a silent movie! I do hope that Gwan Soo is okay but I can't imagine he dies this early on when he's a main character.

Hospital Playlist Season 1 (9/12): A drama depicting the stories of people going through their days that seemingly ordinary but actually special, at the hospital, a place known as the microcosm of life - where someone is being born and someone's life meets their ending. The five doctors are long time friends of 20 years who started their undergrad in 1999 in the same medical school, and now they are colleagues in the same hospital. The drama will also deal with a story of a band formed by the group of doctors.

Nothing really spoke to me this week in terms of storylines cause we hopped around from department to department and the struggle was that we didn't focus on anyone. The only thing that I connected with was the stuff with Ik Sun and how Ik Jun found out about how heartbroken she was about a year ago when her boyfriend at the time pretended like a fortuneteller was the reason that they should break up after he convinced her to get married when she didn't like the idea of marriage. It was totally sad how it dawned on Ik Jun that he barely paid attention to his sister and he didn't even know that for six months of her life she was barely functioning. I loved their scene at the end when he basically brought her to tears with his love. I'm also seriously in love with Ik Sun and Jun Wan and how chill their relationship is. It was so funny to parallel their scene where Ik Sun offered to show Jun Wan her texts with some other guy with the scene with one of the medical students and how she refused to show her phone to her boyfriend. It really shows you how different you are when you're dating in your 20s and when you're dating in your 40s. Seok Hyung's mom also finally agreed to a divorce but I'm really curious about this storyline with Cheon and his apparent marriage to a chaebol cause he's a horrible person and I didn't know what we were seeing at the end of the episode. Was it the older woman he was marrying? Or was it the young one? And speaking of the young one was she the new nurse that just joined the OBGYN? Who's the chairman that's worried about Cheon and the chaebol?

Soul Mechanic/Fix You (4/32): How do you deal with anger? Where does happiness actually come from? These questions are at the heart of Fix You, a touching drama about a quirky psychiatrist on a mission to help people heal, and a rising star whose emotional wounds run deep. Lee Si Joon is an eccentric but passionate psychiatrist working in a hospital. He cares deeply for his patients, whom he tries to help through valiant, yet often unorthodox efforts. Han Woo Joo is an up and coming musical actress. Honest and principled, her efforts on the stage seem to be paying off, but she struggles with anger issues and recurring mental breakdowns that threaten to derail her career. With compassion as his tool, can Lee Si Joon help mend her soul and let the healing begin?

I had been looking forward to this drama airing cause duh Jung So Min is my girl but I really had no idea what this show would end up being except for maybe something like It's Okay That's Love in it's look at mental health. After checking out the first four episodes of this show I have to say I'm definitely interested in this show but I'm not entirely sure how I feel yet. Woo Joo is seriously an angel despite her anger problems cause after everything she went through, she still found it in her heart to not only forgive the patient that ruined her life but also the doctor and the hospital that let the patient escape. If I was her I would have sued everyone involved cause I mean not only did she lose her job but her reputation is in the trash because of the delusional patient who arrested her for a DUI. I still think it's ridiculous that she didn't do an interview that explained everything cause even if her boyfriend was an asshole, there are other reporters out there! Instead it looks like she's basically going to give up on musical theater for now in order to work at the hospital. I do suppose in part this is a good thing cause she does need to get treatment for her anger problems first and working part-time in the hospital would be a good excuse if others asked her why she was there but at the same time I don't think she deserved losing her dream. Then again I also wouldn't be getting treatment from Si Joon even if he was the last doctor alive cause of the mess he made and how little he cared about what she went through in the aftermath but I'm also not her so I can't say much on that. What I can say though is that I just really hope that there's no romance between our leads and it's not cause of the age gap cause both actors are old enough that it doesn't matter but because I don't see romantic chemistry between the two.

What Shows Am I Watching This Week?

Hello everyone and welcome back! Let's dive right in shall we?

Batwoman Season 1 Episode 17

I had a blast with this week's episode of Batwoman but it also low key sucks cause it would have felt a lot more impactful if this had aired back before the hiatus cause it wrapped up a lot of previously dangling storylines and the end felt like it totally could have been Batwoman's finale. We spent all episode dealing with Kate's guilt over killing and I loved that it was both Mary and Luke that eventually helped her move past it with Mary saying that Kate didn't need to be a hero and Luke explaining that Batman even broke his own code by killing Joker which is probs why Bruce vanished. We also found out who the mole in the Crows was and that he was the one to kill Lucius Fox and why. Apparently Lucius had a journal full of every Wayne Tech project and how to build them which Tommy Eliot wanted so he hired the Crow mole to get it but after Lucius refused was killed by accident. Everything he did afterwards was to hide his trail and he even went as far as being a second bomb maker to do so. I do wish that the whole Jacob being attached to a bomb thing had a bigger impact but I guess the more important part of all that was Luke deciding to put his revenge aside for good and for it to be the thing that finally got Kate to tell him what happened. I'm excited that Julia is going to be sticking around and joining the Crows though it looks like if she does get a love interest it'll be Sophie rather than Kate but I also loved that Mary finally told Kate that she knew who she was cause I'm down for another Team Batwoman member. Now I just need Jacob and my list will be complete.

The promo for next week feels a little more lighthearted with Kate and crew going clubbing and her running into her ex from earlier this season. With the production shutting down early, there's only three episodes left for this season and I wonder if Alice will get out of Arkham or if that was supposed to be an arc for the un-filmed finale.

Fruits Basket Season 2 Episode 4

I can't explain just how excited I am about seeing all the new material in this second season. Since I'm an anime only, I have no idea about what's to come and it's all so exciting! We met a new Sohma character this week in Rin who we saw a glimpse of last season and though we didn't exactly get much more this week, it was more than before! Rin as we know from the opening song is the horse spirit and she's been in the hospital because of some accident. At first I assumed it was some sort of self-inflicted one based on how depressed she seemed last season when Hiro visited her but it also might be related to Akito. Maybe the fact that Yuki isn't returning to the Sohma Estate or how Kyo won't allow himself to be locked up led to Akito attacking Rin? Rin looked furious when she saw Yuki and Haru seemed to blame Kyo which has me wondering. Or maybe it's another example of Kisa and Hiro in that Akito found out about Haru and Rin and beat Rin up? Either way I'm excited to find out what's going on and what kind of person Rin is. She's gotta be a good one just based on the fact that she was dating Haru until recently and if that isn't a shock then I don't what is! In other news, I was totally proud of Yuki for ignoring how scared he was to return to the Estate because of how much he cared for Haru. Kyo also is growing leaps and bounds with how open he is now about his care for Tohru even if by the end of the episode he looked like he might return to trying to stay away out of guilt.

The Flash Season 6 Episode 17

Okay so honestly Barry suddenly realizing that Mirror Iris wasn't the real Iris felt like it came out of nowhere cause he never once showed any hints of thinking that something was wrong but I guess I can ignore it in order for the plot to move forward cause it feels like I've been waiting ages for Barry and the others to figure out who she was. It was low key hilarious though that the show tried to play it as Barry losing his mind when he was in detective mode at the West house and it was even better than Eva was steps ahead of Barry in terms of the weapon that shows you if a person is a mirror refraction. I love when villains are smart like that and I wondered if maybe the show would extend this story for a little longer but Cecile was able to figure it out and thus Barry was able to figure it out. Meanwhile Iris figured out that Eva wasn't the good person Iris thought she was and like props to Eva for having an extremely well thought out plan. What sucks though is that I'm pretty sure that Iris is right in terms of Eva thinking that she wants revenge but in actuality she still loves Joseph and I think that when they meet, they'll become a villain couple again when truthfully I want Eva to take him down cause he's an asshole and he doesn't love her. I'm also not sure what was happening with Caitlin/Killer Frost and at first I wondered if this was a way to write Danielle Campbell out of the rest of this season with the whole real life pregnancy thing and then I wondered if this was how Team Flash would go back to Ramsay but then we ended up using it as a way to bring back Caitlin's mom so I'm all sorts of confused! In other news I do have to say that despite me not being a huge Westallen shipper, that final scene when Barry and Iris told the mirror that they loved each other despite not knowing if the other could hear them was absolutely heartwarming so shout out to that!

The promo for next week shows us that Godspeed is back and I'm just casually over here like um again? I wonder if we'll finally build the artificial speedforce that Barry needs cause I can't imagine how else they stop a speed villain! We know that Flash's finale is in two episodes so who knows what'll happen!

Legends Of Tomorrow Season 5 Episode 10

This week was really interesting cause I ended up enjoying both the A and B plot unlike last week where I really only thought that Zari's storyline was interesting. We found out that Enchantress helped hide the third piece of the Loom and part of me was laughing at that cause I hated Enchantress in the Suicide Squad movie but it makes sense that Charlie in ancient Greek times would find Enchantress to help not to mention the fact that in this universe it seems like Enchantress isn't a bad guy after all. By accident Zari and Constantine got split up from the rest of the group and ended up in Constantine's house in another time period where they were swarmed by Encores so Ava, Mick, and Gary went to Hell to find Astra. In the end they realized that the Fates were down in Hell and Astra returned to Earth with Ava's help after she realized that if she wanted something she should try to get it herself rather than wait for it to get done. Zari and Constantine managed to work together, kill the Encores and find the final piece of the Loom and it's making me wonder if we've got all three pieces already then what's the rest of the season going to be about? In other news, this week has officially shifted me onto the Zari and Constantine ship (Hellstar? Starblazer? What even is their ship name??) cause at first I wasn't sure if I was just seeing things that weren't there because of the insane chemistry the two actors had or if the show really was hinting towards something between the two but after their almost kiss and Constantine's look of disappointment in seeing Zari and Nate hug, I have a feeling that a love triangle is brewing. I wonder if it's just that we never really saw the two together in previous seasons or if it's this Zari's dynamic with him that I love but whatever it is, every time they so much as look at each other I feel sparks!

I wonder if the promos for this show are a mess because of production problems cause this is the second week in a row that we got a promo where it was a mash-up of random scenes over the season and a moment that we haven't seen. It does look like Mick might be bringing his daughter onto the Waverider and Sara looks like she's okay as long as her eyes are covered up so there's that!

Tower Of God Episode 5

Every week I can't help but feel like there's a disconnect in terms of how I'm an anime only viewer so I don't know a lot of the Lore or the backstory for this show. It's like watching a show like Young Justice where so much of the show is left unexplained cause it expects you to know the DC universe and their characters. I suppose part of the whole appeal of this show is that every character is grey so we're not supposed to see them in terms of good or bad guys but I can't help but do it anyway cause how else am I supposed to watch a show without knowing who's on our side and who's not? The Test Administrator clearly knows more than the rest and as it turns out the Crown Game wasn't to get rid of Rachel's team who were more bloodthirsty than the rest but to actually get rid of Bam cause he's something different than the others and as the Test Administrator said different is dangerous to the Tower. Bam seems to be made of Shinsu rather than having the ability to control it and it makes me wonder if maybe he's supposed to be a manifestation of the Tower after gaining enough power to actually take a human form. It would explain why he has no memories and yet is powerful enough to continuously pass Tower tests and charm the Black March. I also can't tell you how low key pissed I was that Bam jumped off the throne to protect Rachel throwing everything that Khun sacrificed to the wind and it's like good for him for losing the Black March now cause it was his fault. That black clad character came out of nowhere and I'm left wondering not only from where she appeared cause she wasn't one of the members of a team but also why Rachel's team was so focused on destroying her and not getting the Crown cause obviously they must want the shortcut to climb the Tower too no? As a side note Khun is definitely my favorite character on this show and I low key had a moment when he put his hair up this week.

Rivedale Season 4 Episode 18

This week's episode just mixed everything up again in terms of plot and I think we the audience just figured out who's behind these tapes although the cast has yet to find out. Mr Honey as it seems was an avid visitor to the Red Room in the video tape store and his face when he heard that the FBI raided it was not good. It would totally make sense if it ended up being him cause he's been an antagonist to our heroes all season long despite me actually thinking that he might be right about a lot of what he says but it does suck cause it once again leaves Charles and Chic totally out there as a dangling thread. It was super sweet though when Charles called Jughead little brother cause Jughead's face just totally lit up and I can't help but want Charles to be good! Maybe all this time away from Chic can turn him into a good person! It's also high key hilarious that after last week when we were so sure that Archie and Betty were going to become a thing, the show shut it down this week and that's beyond hysterical just based on the response the poor writers and cast got last week from angry fans so part of me is like why even do this whole storyline if it's not going to go anywhere and the rest of me is like I hope you feel shame fans who took this whole thing too far. But actually on a more serious note I did love that Cheryl called out Betty's feelings for Archie as nothing more than a fantasy and that Betty never really loved Archie but the idea of him and that Jughead was the one she was destined for cause personally that's how I view the whole thing. Veronica and Cheryl cancelled their rum business and Veronica decided to rejoin the family business thinking that Hiram has finally changed but as we know that's not true so that's awkward. I still wonder what Jughead's college plans are cause it feels like other than him we know where everyone else in Riverdale is going. Betty to Yale, Archie to the navy, Veronica to that school in NY, and now we know that Fangs is going to Pitt while Kevin is going to Carnegie Mellon so I'm wondering if Jughead is planning to go to college or if he'll like go to Quantico and become an FBI agent or stay in Riverdale and take FP's place as Sheriff.  

The season finale for this shortened season of Riverdale is next week and it looks like everyone figures out that Honey is shady but I really doubt that they'll actually kill him!

Harley Quinn Season 2 Episode 5

This episode was super strange cause it didn't follow the normal procedure for a Harley Quinn episode cause not only was Harley not even in this episode but we had this hysterical scene at the top and bottom of the episode that broke the fourth wall and left me wondering what on Earth was going on. Now having said all that I hope it didn't come across as me complaining cause actually I really loved how unique this episode was and this world's version of Batman/Bruce Wayne is hilarious as is Alfred who I think we met for the first time in this show this week. Bruce woke up from his coma and wanted to get back out there on the streets partially cause he wanted to help and mostly cause his ego was shot at the sight of other heroes but most importantly Batgirl. It ended in disaster with Bane actually breaking Batman's legs and his back I'm assuming in a homage to the comics and ultimately Batman realized that he couldn't be out in the field just yet but he did give his stamp of approval to Batgirl and got her to work with Jim. I still wonder where Robin is supposed to be but I guess he'd be in Jump City with the Titans cause last we heard he was a Titan. Bane and Two Face are the only villains left on the streets of Gotham and they decided to team up though poor Bane was basically tricked into thinking that he was more than a henchman for Two Face and in the end it was so funny to see Two Face give him a Pit.

What Dramas Am I Watching This Week?

So here's what I'm watching this week! Of course the list is split by country and the amount of episodes I've seen so far are written below! KDRAMA

FINISHED 365: Repeat The Year (24/24): A story where ten people get the chance to go back in time by one year, but unexpectedly mysterious situations start to arise when their fates are changed and twisted in the process. Ji Hyung Joo is a detective in the violent crimes division. He used to be part of the traffic police but was promoted when he arrested a wanted criminal. It's been seven years since the change, and he's a talented individual who always knows how to relax. Though he is happy at first to have the chance to go back in time by one year and "reset" his life, he begins to search for the truth when a series of mysterious events befall on the group of people he goes back in time with.

This absolutely wonderful written, acted, and directed drama came to an end this week and though I'm sad to see it go, I want to shout out how incredible it was from the first episode to the last! From the mystery which played out perfectly, the plot twists that actually shook you but were also totally obvious in hindsight, and the character dynamic, the writing in this show was everything. I was utterly shocked to find out that No Sub was the Big Bad behind the resets which again I totally should have seen coming cause no one in the reset group except for Hyung Jo and Ga Hyun were the people they said they were! I had mentioned last week that things with Lee Shin weren't clicking the way they should and with the reveal that it was No Sub all along, suddenly everything came into focus. He was the sociopath who marveled in the idea of watching others suffer when he knew how everything was going to play out and he was the one to even kill Shin's daughter every time in order to keep her playing with him. I don't actually mind that there was no secret behind the reset cause it really allows us to feel like we won more than if there was a lab with the technology. I do have to say that it was absolutely heartbreaking to watch Ga Hyun die in order to save Hyung Jo but it went full circle when he went back in time to save her like she had mentioned that she didn't think anyone would do for her. The only thing I can complain about is the fact that Hyung Jo and Ga Hyun never got together when I shipped them so hard but even that I can ignore and head-canon that maybe just maybe the two will fall in love in this new timeline! We know that they've got serious chemistry and that Hyung Jo is already half in love so without serial killers on their mind romance might pop up! But seriously I can't hype this show up enough if you're into thrillers so if you haven't checked it out yet what are you waiting for??? I'd definitely give it a 10 / 10!

FINISHED A Piece Of Your Mind (12/12): An innovator in the world of artificial intelligence programming, Moon Ha Won has made quite a name for himself in the AI industry. The founder and brain behind the popular portal site, M&H, Ha Won is a man everyone knows. A man devoted to his work, everyone knows he doesn’t take what he does lightly and expects his employees to follow suit, but he’s also known as a kindhearted, rational thinker, who never gets angry and never loses his cool. An ideal man, with a soft heart, Ha Won believes that when it comes to love, having even a small fraction of his love’s heart is enough to sustain him. But that theory is put to the test when Han Seo Woo wanders into his world. A classical music recording engineer, Seo Woo hasn’t had the easiest life. With no family to support her, and no place to call home, Seo Woo has spent the majority of her life wandering and alone. Despite her difficulties, Seo Woo has managed to keep an open and optimistic mindset, believing that all things happen for a reason. Wandering down the path life has laid before her, Seo Woo soon finds herself crossing paths with Ha Won. As the two begin a journey together, they come to find that sometimes two different halves really can make a whole.

I have to admit that I wasn't the biggest fan of the finale for this show and I can't help but feel it's cause of the pacing problems with this show after it cut four episodes out of it's original line-up. Ironically me the girl who hates breakups and time skips in dramas actually didn't have a problem with Seo Woo leaving Ha Won for a bit cause she realized she was too wrapped up in Ha Won and Ji Soo's pain that she didn't know not only if Ha Won loved her for her but also where her love for him began and where it was sympathy. The problem was in the fact that the show decided to have them breakup and then get back together within like ten minutes. Like why even bother to breakup at all? I know we're supposed to assume that there was a time skip but the show itself doesn't even tell you how long the time skip is so it's even more annoying. I do have to admit that despite how much I hated In Wook last week that his final goodbye to Ji Soo did make me sob like a baby and dude Ha Won is a much better person than I would ever be because he even managed to squash his own feelings in order to give In Wook the closure Ji Soo wanted to give him. I would have burned that damn letter and punched In Wook in the face for trying to pull Seo Woo down with him. Soon Ho's whole arc makes no sense either and not only am I left wondering why a big actress like Lee Ha Na would want to play her but also in terms of character why we even bothered to have that whole thing where she fell in love with In Wook and chose him over her own uncle when it was clear that In Wook would never love her since he's still mourning Ji Soo and so she just ended up alone. Having said all that there was still something sweet about this show overall and I did love Seo Woo and Ha Won's relationship before this finale so I'd have to give this show a 9 / 10 anyway.

FINISHED Dal Ja's Spring (22/22): Dalja's Spring is the story of Dalja, a 33-year old single at a crossroad of whether to remain single or get married before she gets older. The drama aims to comically and candidly portray the reality and undying pursuit of romance of a thirty something single woman. The love triangle of Dalja, Taebong and Gijoong brews conflicts over love versus marriage. Taebong, a hunk six years younger than Dalja, works as substitute dates and becomes Dalja's fake boyfriend. Gijoong is the type who dreams of an ideal and rational courtship. The drama also highlights the life and work of women in their thirties through Dalja who is a talented managing director at a home shopping channel.

I decided to check this drama out cause I had heard it was amazing in a review for a show I didn't particularly like so I went in without any expectations and was honestly blown away with how good this show was. I mean yeah the whole emphasis on age was a little ridiculous at points (the girl was 33 not 60!) and yeah I hated the time skip at the end but overall I loved the way this show told it's story. Dal Ja and Tae Bong had crazy chemistry and I loved how realistic their relationship felt. Tae Bong started this show playing what might be my favorite kind of male lead aka the mischievous flirt and became so sweet and romantic as the show went on. I loved that though at first I was a little worried about how childish Dal Ja was acting in terms of touching Tae Bong that the show quickly not only explained why she was hesitant but allowed us to see her get more comfortable before it became second nature for the two to snuggle up together. The second male lead practically disappeared after Dal Ja picked Tae Bong unlike other dramas where he sticks around too long and it really felt like our main couple were one team. It was also so creative of the show to make us think that we were going to deal with monster-in-law problems (on both ends) but then ended up flipping the script and changed it so that within a few episodes the mothers changed their minds over opposing the main couple and even went as far as pushing the two together once they broke up. I didn't even mind the breakup honestly cause I totally understood Dal Ja and how insecure she felt when Tae Bong wouldn't even once say that he loved her but after he finally did, I think it was weird of the show to have sent her off for 2 years cause it made no sense in terms of character development or plot other than to follow the trend of all old dramas and their obnoxious time skips. Honestly though this show might have been what Mary Stayed Out All Night should have been if it didn't focus so hard on the obnoxious love triangle cause I found Dal Ja and Tae Bong just as cute as Mae Ri and Moo Gyul minus the fact that I have such a soft spot for musicians. I'd definitely give this show a 8.5 / 10!

Find Me In Your Memory (26/32): The story revolves around a man with hyperthymesia, a condition that gives people the ability to remember an abnormally vast amount of their life experiences in vivid detail, and a woman who has forgotten the most important moments of her life. The two people with similar scars fatefully cross paths one day and come to love each other. Jung Hoon is an anchor of a news show which has the highest ratings. Jung Hoon’s handsome face and perfect body figure make him look good in a suit. Unlike his gentle appearances, he becomes a tyrant all of a sudden and starts asking aggressive questions to whoever it is. Because of hyperthymesia, he remembers every single thing happening in 365 days a year ever since his childhood. He can’t forget the memory of the woman he loved, Seo Yeon, who disappeared 8 years ago. A rising star who attracts everyone’s attention, Ha Jin, appears in front of Jung Hoon at that moment. Despite all the attention, Ha Jin doesn’t waver and keeps her confidence. However, she has a secret that her memory is fading away. The man who cannot forget and the woman whose memory is fading away. Will they be able to overcome their difficulties, understand each other, and fall in love at the end?

Every time I finish watching this show for the week I'm always left wishing there was more! Ha Jin and Jung Hoon are just so magical together and I can't get enough of them whether they're being cute together or angsty! Things finally hit the fan this week with Ha Jin's memories of Seo Yeon returning and with it a large dose of guilt and pain. Doctor Yoo the asshole has been running around since he found out that Jung Hoon's love for Ha Jin will ruin his big book plans so when his attempt to force Ha Jin to leave Jung Hoon didn't work (which dudes I was so proud of our girl for being like as long as Jung Hoon says he's happy and wants me, I don't care about his past!) he turned to Sung Ho and basically helped him escape after which Sung Ho made a beeline to Ha Jin and awoke her memories. As it turns out the reason she was so messed up after Seo Yeon's death went beyond the fact that Seo Yeon was her best friend but that Ha Jin blamed herself for Seo Yeon's death cause Sung Ho convinced her that he was Seo Yeon's boyfriend so she gave him the passcode to Seo Yeon's apartment. It was absolutely heartbreaking to see Ha Jin go through the cycle of grief but I loved that Jung Hoon tried to stay by her side through it all. He told her that didn't blame her for anything and that it wasn't her fault and that he loved her and that he would wait for however long she needed and in the end it does feel like Ha Jin came back to herself and him. I don't know if she's forgiven herself but at least this is the first step. I had wondered if maybe Sung Ho would end up stabbing Jung Hoon or something and that would be what would cause Ha Jin to come back but I like this way a lot more cause it's important that it was an internal decision for Ha Jin rather than an external one.

Good Casting (2/16): Baek Chan Mi is a legendary agent for the National Intelligence Service. However, due to an excessive operation, one of her subordinates passes away. After this incident, she takes back all hope of returning to the field when she gets an order to go undercover. She begins working as a secretary for Ilkwang Hitech under the name, Baek Jang Mi. She is joined by a single mother, Im Ye Eun, who has the beauty of a girl group member, and Hwang Mi Soon, a housewife of 18 years whose family believes her to be an insurance salesperson. These three women begin to work together. Meanwhile, Ilkwang Hitech’s CEO, Yoon Seok Ho, knew Chan Mi as his tutor and had a crush on her. He can’t help but think that his new secretary, who looks exactly like his first love but has a different name and age, is a bit suspicious.

Okay seriously this show is good. I went into it not really knowing anything or expecting much cause I've been burned by too many investigation dramas recently but having seen these first two episodes I have high hopes for this show and I'm low key worried about that cause a lot of the dramas I've watched recently have done nothing but let me down. This show is honestly so high budget from it's beautiful shots to it's incredible editing. The fight scenes all look great too and I'm seriously all about how Chan Mi isn't the typical naive rookie cop! She's able to fight, smart as a whip, and sees things as more than black and white. The show is much more of a comedy than I expected tbh and though at first I thought that might be a good thing, as the second episode went on and we reverted to diaper jokes, I was suddenly a bit more hesitant. I also really hope that this show doesn't end up trying to undermine our leading ladies in order to make the villains seem stronger cause we were told these women are really good NIS agents and I don't need bumbling antics except from maybe Ye Eun who we've been told is a desk agent more than a field one. I do enjoy that so far this doesn't seem like it'll be wrapped up in NIS internal politics like something similar to Vagabond but of course this is a kdrama so I'm sure that someone will be a mole for the Big Bad aka Michael and I have a feeling that not only will Min Seok end up being more than who he says he is but also maybe even Director Seo cause he's the one who stopped Chan Mi from shooting the suspect 3 years ago and he just seems sketchy. In terms of a spy in Ilkwang Hitech, we already kind of know that Gwan Soo is going to be good so my eyes go towards Managing Director Myeong over the Hallyu star but then I'm also left wondering if it's too obviously him and if the show would want to mix things up and make it someone else. As a side note I'm totally shipping Chan Mi and Gwan Soo already which sucks cause I know that if there is any romance in this show it'll be between Chan Mi and Suk Ho since they're the top billed but I'm always such a sucker for two exes getting back together and a romance between two cops or secret agents in this case. 

Hospital Playlist Season 1 (8/12): A drama depicting the stories of people going through their days that seemingly ordinary but actually special, at the hospital, a place known as the microcosm of life - where someone is being born and someone's life meets their ending. The five doctors are long time friends of 20 years who started their undergrad in 1999 in the same medical school, and now they are colleagues in the same hospital. The drama will also deal with a story of a band formed by the group of doctors.

This week was actually a lot of fun cause one of the major focuses was on Min Ha who has been slowly moving to the top of my favorite characters list despite not even being one of the main characters. There's just something so interesting about her and I love how she's not afraid to be herself and if she does get with Seok Hyung at some point, I'll be all for that! Last week I mentioned how I was looking forward to her fighting with Eun Won and how it sucked when nothing happened but this week we got a little more of them though Min Ha is clearly too much of a good person to actually fight with another resident. Eun Won is clearly not a fan of hard work and keeps putting off what she needs to do to Min Ha while acting like the victim and I was so furious at first when it looked like no one was going to step in and I can't decide if I like the hands off approach from Seok Hyung or not. He knows exactly what's happening but is like this is just a resident problem and I'm sitting here like dude no it's not. Eun Won and Min Ha are both your residents so you should be able to scold them especially if one isn't doing the work you've assigned her! In other news Jung Won got his priesthood application accepted so he's got about a month or so until he can join the church and I still pretty much hate everything that's happening romantically with Gyeo Wool but this week she decided to move on from him cause he's not interested though if you ask me, that probs won't happen and they'll probs hook up soon enough. Je Hak went through the ringer this week between loosing his money to that real estate scam and that horrible patient's guardian but Jun Wan stepped up and it never ceases to amuse me how almost every week all the residents are shocked at how sweet our leads all are and it's like at this point you should know that they're all mean cause they care!

FINISHED Memorist (16/16): Dong Baek has an extraordinary ability. He can peer into the memories of whoever he touches. With his supernatural power, get it done attitude, and eye-pleasing looks, he is fervently revered worldwide as a superstar detective. However, when his punches meet with suspects before words, he can be a bit of a headache to his comrades. Starting from the age of twenty, Han Sun Mi is the youngest to have passed the bar exam, obtain a doctorate in criminal psychology, and become a senior superintendent in the police force. Having solved five cold cases that even a detective with supernatural powers couldn't do, she is a genius profiler. She has a secret that drives her to do what she does. These two highly-skilled professionals meet their match—a serial killer with abilities that transcend theirs combined. It's going to be a fight worth watching.

I wish that I loved this drama more than I did cause now that it's over, looking back I'm just sad. Now that I have every piece of the puzzle with me, I can see that the mystery was actually a really good one and I loved how it played with the idea of what's good and bad. The Eraser is supposed to be the sociopath in this show cause duh she's a serial killer and she even targeted the innocent rather than the guilty but in actuality it was the people she was hunting that were the true sociopaths. The degrees they would go to in order to hide their own misdoings were astronomical and my blood was boiling during each flashback and reveal this week and it leaves you wondering if maybe The Eraser's been doing the right thing all along. The problem though is in the approach the show took in revealing the pieces of the mystery. Rather than introducing important characters earlier in the show's run, they introduced new characters as our heroes learned of them. In that way though it gave the show a bit of a realistic feel (cause in real life that's how an investigation would go) it left me feeling as if the writers were flying by the seat of their pants which after watching this finale was the wrong thought cause in actuality it seems the story had a tight line it was following but we just didn't know it. I also really hated that everyone from the prosecution to the cops to the damn media was corrupt cause there were just too many people to hate! We spent half of our airtime running away to keep Baek alive rather than towards the problem and I still don't understand why Baek was so hated! It got to the point that by the end I was like Baek you should just leave Korea and go to a country that would actually appreciate your hard work! In the end it was hard to figure out what I would give this show but I guess an 7.5 / 10 will do.

FINISHED Meow, The Secret Boy/Welcome (24/24): A graphic designer in her mid-twenties, Sol Ah harbors dreams of becoming a web-based comic author and has always had a love-hate relationship with cats. But Sol Ah’s life changes fast when she brings home a friendly feline. It turns out, however, that this is not any old cat. Named Hong Jo, he can take human form. Hong Jo becomes exceptionally fond of So Ah, and goes to great pains to hide his human identity from her. He soon proves that he will do anything that is required in order to stay near her. Will Hong Jo manage to keep his identity a secret? And what could be in store for this remarkable feline-human duo as their relationship deepens?

This show is finally over and honestly I'm mostly just disappointed in not only the plot of this show but the fact that I was really excited to see L and Shin Ye Eun act together and this is what we got from them. Of course I think both actors did a fantastic job with what they were given especially L who played the role of a cat perfectly in his mannerisms but this show was just not for me and I know that there are probs some people out there who enjoyed it so at least there's that. Hong Jo found out that he only had a certain given time to be human that really had nothing to do with his age and this addition felt like a totally lame retcon attempt to make everything hard on our leads cause we didn't learn anything like that before! He tried to hide it from Sol Ah so she spent a large chunk of this week living her life and telling Hong Jo that he shouldn't wait around for her cause it makes her feel bad only to freak out when she found out that Hong Jo didn't have long as a human left. The ending was what I expected with a magical happily ever after with Hong Jo becoming a human again after 2 years of being a cat and there was no rhyme or reason to it other than the show probs just wanting to leave the audience with a semblance of a happy ending. Like I said last week, the romance shouldn't have been between Hong Jo and Sol Ah but Sol Ah and Jae Sun with Hong Jo really just being a bridge in all of our humans' lives like a fairy godmother or we should have gone a Fruits Basket route where Hong Jo was born a human and had a human life but turned into a cat sometimes and that's how Sol Ah met him. Overall I think this show was fine and tbh I think I enjoyed just watching Hong Jo the cat be absolutely adorable on screen most of all. I'd give this show a 6 / 10.

FINISHED Miss Korea (20/20): An "inelegant" young woman who works as an elevator operator at a department store that lays off workers in the worst 1997 financial crisis ever to hit the nation crosses paths with macho Mr. Kim, a cosmetics firm CEO, whose company is on the brink of bankruptcy. With nothing to lose, these two people decide to join together to win the Miss Korea contest.

After checking out Coffee Prince last week and low key having SLS for the longest time, I thought I'd check out a different Lee Sun Kyun drama and maybe try to get past that. This one caught my eye cause it sounded so unique in it's concept and wondered if it would give me a Miss Congeniality vibe and honestly after checking this drama out, I have to say it vastly outdid my expectations and I had a blast. I was worried at first cause Hyung Joon seemed like such an asshole as did his friends and ViVi Cosmetics coworkers but very quickly I warmed to them and found the leads not only had so much chemistry but I adored their relationship. It's rare to find a drama where the leads don't go through any misunderstandings or break up over silly things that you wish that they would just talk about but that's exactly what you got here! Ji Young and Hyung Joon trusted in each other and their love so much so that they didn't let anything from bankruptcy to evil men rip them apart. They would have given up their lives for each other and if that's just not the cutest I don't know what is. I loved all the beauty pageant parts of this drama but I also loved how lighthearted and low stakes this show was. I do wish that the other beauty pageant girls had more of an impact for me in terms of their characters cause I literally could not care less about any of them including Jae Hee who was the one who got the most story and was Ji Young's rival but I was super surprised at how much I loved President Ma and how she wasn't the villain like I expected her to be. Overall I really had a blast with this show and I can't recommend it enough if you're looking for a sweet romance in a low stakes show so I'd give it a 8 / 10!

DROPPED Rugal (8/16): Kang Ki Beom is an elite police officer whose attempt to bring down Argos, a nationwide criminal organization, results in a group of masked assailants from Argos killing his beloved wife and child and cutting out both of his eyes. Kang wakes up in a hospital only to find himself accused of murdering his family members. The NIS then approaches him with an offer to become a member of Rugal, a special team organized by the NIS. He receives two artificial eyes with Rugal's biotechnology built into them and with them gains unique new abilities with which to take down criminal organizations. Kang Ki Beom and Rugal set out on a mission to wipe out Argos.

I really tried to like this show but there's only so many times that the cool action scenes in this drama can be literally the only thing to pull me back to watch the next chunk of episodes. I've mentioned before that I was hoping that this show would be a Player/Leverage/38 Task Force style of show with our four spies infiltrating different Argos ops and ruining things but instead we got this weird show in which no one knows what they're doing and Argos has no ultimate goal. Argos was constantly five steps ahead of Rugal and it got to the point where I was like I wish this was an American cop drama cause the villains would be dead ten times over by now! I love Choi Jin Hyuk but even his beautiful muscles weren't enough to get me to watch this week's episodes so I think that means that I have to drop this show....
