After a hearbreaking series finale, here we are with my top 10 episodes of Reign Season 4. This was another hard list to make but unlike many of my other top 10 posts, this one was actually because despite my love for this show, I was actually fairly indifferent to all the episodes that aired so I tried my hardest!
1. All It Cost Her...
2. Coup de Grace
3. Dead of Night
4. Pulling Strings
5. Blood In The Water
6. A Better Man
7. Uncharted Waters
8. Leaps of Faith
9. A Grain of Deception
10. Highland Games

I'm a very vocal person who watches way to much tv and gets too invested in characters. If that's your thing, you've come to the right place!

Thoughts on The Paradise
You know me and my love for period dramas (especially BBC ones) so when this show popped up on my Netflix queue, I clicked on it so quickly! I flew through season 1 with a grin on my face only to find season 2 a struggle to get through based on how the characters changed so completely but despite that, I loved this show and the world it portrayed. If you have not watched this show yet, go out and watch it before coming back cause there may be spoilers below!
This show was chock full of great characters but honestly the strength of this show lies with it's main characters because they were so much fun to follow and learn about since they got the best storylines and to be honest a lot of the side character plots got kind of dull. Sam, Clara and Katherine were great characters and Dudley was the sweetest! I was so sure that I wouldn't like Katherine cause in these type of shows, the rich socialite is always in the middle of the main romance and never is a good person but I fell in love with Katherine and all I wanted was for her to be happy and I am heartbroken that she didn't get a happy ending. Speaking of the romance, I really enjoyed the relationship between Denise and John. They had a ton of chemistry and I could understand why they would feel a pull towards each other from the first moment they met. Unlike a lot of shows, I believed their love at first sight! Seriously, I melted whenever they made prolonged eye contact season 1 and you know me and my soft spot for romance!
Season 1 was the better of the two seasons in my opinion but the show overall reminded me of a mix between Downton Abbey and an anime (particularly Ouran High School Host Club) in the way the story was told. There was a distinct upstairs/downstairs feel in telling the A plot in the Paradise with Denise and John and some of the others and a B plot with the employees. At the same time, there was a slice of life feel to the first season of the show and a Ouran High School Host Club feel in how each episode had a big event that was going on in the Paradise to be played with. The whole episode would be revolved around this event and it just made me smile cause you now Ouran is one of my favorite animes! Speaking of, the Paradise was shown to be such a magical place and you really felt it watching the show! You would think that an entire show taking place in about two sets would get dull but it did not!
Now as I mentioned, this would have been the perfect show if it had not been for season 2 and the abrupt shift in the way John was portrayed. Where in season 1 he was all for Denise shining, he spent most of season 2 trying to dim her light, which I guess I could understand since men at the time had pretty strict standards on women and their roles if not for the fact that John had never felt this way before so the sudden change left me confused and not at all pleased. For almost the whole of season 2, I stopped enjoying Denise and John together and even John in his own scenes cause he had irritated me so but the last two episodes of the season redeemed him for me and I melted at the final scene that the show ended in.
I'd give this show a 7/10 (darn you season 2) and I would definitely recommend it if you like romance, girl power and period dramas!
