Top 10 TV Shows Of 2022

Hi everyone! As promised, I'm back with my Top 10 Favorite TV Shows of 2022! Again, this list is based on my personal opinions and may have spoilers. Fair warning, there may be spoilers below so keep that in mind!

Coming in at number 10 is Stargirl! The season that aired this year was actually the last one for this show which was totally heartbreaking cause it's this show show is a hidden gem. I always seem to forget about how much I adore it until I'm actually watching it and it makes me sad to see one of the last few dregs of the Arrowverse start to fade. Stargirl had everything you could want going for it from a fantastic cast who could act themselves out of a bag to great writing that never faltered to amazing fight choreography. The heart of this show was the Whitmore family and I loved meeting Starman this season too cause it gave us a wonderful new dynamic. The other Justice Society kids were a bit irritating at times which is one of the only reasons this show is lower on this list!

At number 9 is House Of The Dragon! Now like the entire world I was shocked over how much I ended up loving this show after the mess that was the ending of Game Of Thrones doubly so since I was never a fan of Dany. I wasn't expecting much from a whole show about the Targaryens but somehow I ended up falling in love with the show since it finally realized what it was that people originally loved Game Of Thrones for. We were all here for the backstabbing and politics of taking the Iron Throne not some ice zombies who had no motivation other than being evil. I loved that since there were so many more Targaryens here that we could get actual characters rather than one dimensional ego machines. Rhaenerya is both a kind and a loving mother and ambitious for the throne while Daemon is act first think later but so loyal to his family. Alicent wants her son to be King no matter how she packages her ideals and yet she was also manipulated into it so she's not just a new Cersei. The season ended on a fantastic cliffhanger and I can't wait to see what's next.

Coming in at number 8 is The Summer I Turned Pretty! Talk about a real surprise addition to the list not to mention one that's so completely different from every other action packed show on my list. Like look I'm a girl who enjoys rom coms too! No but seriously this show is based on a book series that I adored when I was young so I went into this show curious but not all that excited cause it's been a long time since I actually enjoyed a live action adaptation of anything only to find that the creators of this show were basically writing a love letter to the original book. The characters in the show were much kinder and well realized than the original book characters and I loved watching them live their lives on screen. Conrad and Belly had such intense chemistry that I was thankful that I shipped them even if I felt like Jeremiah's actor was cuter at first glance. I'm really very excited to see the rest of the series adapted now.

At number 7 is Blood & Treasure! I accidentally found this gem of a show on Paramount+ of all streaming services this year and I devoured both seasons of this show at a breakneck speed and now I can't get enough about gushing over it's virtues to anyone who'll listen cause I feel like no one has ever heard of it! It's basically The Mummy meets The Librarians which those of you who know me know are two of my most favorite things! Season 1 of this show was spectacular from start to finish but the reason this show is not higher on my list is cause season 2 lost me a bit though by no means does that mean season 2 was terrible! The basic concept for this show is that it follows an ex FBI agent who works with an ex master thief to hunt down a terrorist who's using stolen artifacts to fund their evil plots. There's romance, action, intrique, and mystery! What more could a person want?? 

Coming in at number 6 is Murdoch Mysteries! This is another show that I binged this year and to my pleasure is still currently airing! I absolutely love period shows and I'm also a pretty big sucker for murder mysteries and cop shows so the fact that this show combines all three is super fun for me. This show follows a police station in the late 1800s and early 1900s as they solve crimes using the science of the time. The charm of this show can be totally chalked up to the fantastic cast of characters and the interesting episodic cases. This show has been going on for 16 seasons which I've watched all of and I have to say that other than a few early episodes every case was fun to experience and none felt like retreads of previous ones. I adore that the entire main cast of this show has stuck around from the start unlike in a lot of long running American shows cause then we have seasons and seasons of these characters backstories to fall in love with. 

At number 5 is Superman & Lois! I cannot believe how in love with this show I am especially given I didn't particularly like the idea for this show when I first heard of it and how I wasn't all that into Lois when she appeared in the Crisis On Infinite Earths Arrowverse crossover and yet it has become my favorite superhero show on air right now! Along with The Flash (which is a whole mess that I still can't believe I'm still watching) it's the last of the Berlanti DC shows even if technically it's not an Arrowverse show anymore. It still has the best written Superman I've seen and the best family dynamic I've watched. I love that the Kents feel like a real family outside of the superhero stuff but with it they're unstoppable. The writing for this show is so tight and there is not one single character in this show that I don't care about.

Coming in at number 4 is Star Trek Strange New Worlds! Growing up I was always more of a Star Wars girl than a Star Trek one but really that's only cause I never really gave Star Trek a chance. I'd been watching Star Trek Discovery since it first aired years ago but I was never all that into it so when I heard that this show was a spinoff using three characters I enjoyed I decided to check it out only to completely fall in love. I think part of me has always known that I would enjoy the idea of Star Trek cause I love the ideals that it's built on and the concept of getting to explore new worlds and places but the problem is that most of the older Star Trek shows are so dated now whereas this show gave me everything I could want conceptually while also being in HD and using modern CGI! The characters are all fun, the worlds are exciting, and the episodic nature of this show works so well for me cause I get to enjoy seeing our characters solve problems quickly rather than having it drag out for 13 episodes!

At number 3 is Wednesday! I've loved the 90s Adams Family movie for years and years now so when I heard this show was coming out I was really curious though I didn't exactly have expectations for this show. It wasn't because I was so emotionally attached to the original Adams Family that I didn't want any deviation like some fans but more so cause I was open to seeing whatever new take on the Adams Family we got. Fortunately for me and as you can guess based on how high this show is on my list it was everything I could have wanted! Yes there was a lot less Adams Family than I thought and yes it did take me an episode or two to get used to how intense Wednesday was and yes the romances in this show were a bit of a mess but the acting, the writing, the music, and the cinematography more than made up for it! This show was everything shows like Riverdale and The Chilling Adventures Of Sabrina wished they were. Once I realized that magic was real in this world I was so on board with the mystery and I loved all the twists and turns we got. Wednesday was actually able to solve problems without feeling like she had plot armor around her and I loved her relationships and her character growth. 

Coming in at number 2 is Bridgerton! While I'm so torn over whether I feel like season 2 was better than season 1, the fact that I binged this show the day it dropped and enjoyed it so hard makes it a no brainer to be so high up on my list. I just absolutely adore this show and the low stakes world it has built. We don't have nearly enough fun popcorn shows airing which makes this one feel like such a refreshing take. I truly thought that Anthony and Kate had more chemistry than Daphne and Simon no matter that I didn't particularly love the love triangle we got. I only imagine we went with that over another forced marriage cause it would be too similar to what we got with Daphne and Simon last season so I'm able to let it go not to mention the fact that it felt very in character for our characters to act the way they did. I can't wait to see how our characters grow and I'm excited to see which Bridgerton child is up next. Logic says it's Colin and Penelope over Benedict who is technically the next book Bridgerton!

And finally my number 1 show of 2022 is Leverage: Redemption! I feel like I've gushed about this show up and down all over my blog in multiple places before but in case you haven't heard the spiel let me sing it out again. This show is everything I look for in entertainment. It follows a group of con artists who work to scam bad guys out of money and prestige in order to help the people the bad guys have wronged. Each episode stands alone in terms of story but there's usually an overarching story hidden in the background that comes to a big end at the end of each season. The cast of this show is perfection and they're all competent and badass and I love watching them win over and over again. I do miss Nathan Ford as the leader from the original show and Hardison's cameos aren't enough to tide me from missing him weekly but Wilson's addition is definitely a welcome one as is Breanna. Each con is different and unique and I have so much fun watching it.

What Shows Am I Watching This Week?

Hello everyone and welcome back! Let's dive right in shall we?

FINISHED Game Of Thrones Season 8 Episode 6 

I have honestly no words for what I just watched and the levels of disappointment I'm feeling. The first half of the finale had me on a bit of a high with some of my predictions coming true only to have the second half make no sense and for me to die a little. I suppose if the goal of Game of Thrones was to steadily decrease it's quality until we're just aching for it to be over and for our misery to end, then it accomplished it's goal! Jon Jon Jon. I really and truly expected more from him as a character cause I really and truly thought he were playing the long game and that his lack of a spine had to do with his fear of Dany and being burnt alive but instead it turned out that yes he did betray the North and yes he did purposefully ignore all of Dany's warning signs cause he was in love. This goes against literally everything the Starks were fighting for since season 1 and I thought that Sansa telling him to be smarter than Robb and Ned meant something but instead Jon made the same exact mistakes they did and somehow ended up surviving when they died only due to what I'm assuming was plot armor. God I miss Robb. So much for the lone wolf dies but the pack survives huh cause Jon gave zero shits about his family all season. The fact that the Lannisters had more familial moments together than the Starks who's motto is basically family first is ridiculous!!! I also HATED that Bran is now King of the 6 Kingdoms cause seriously what part of him deserves it? He'd make a terrible king with how little he cares about anything and we saw that a little later that he'd be nothing more than a puppet king to his council who'd actually do the day-to-day ruling! And then let's not even talk about how he can't have children so like we're going to have peace for his reign and then another war to pick the next ruler??? Ugh. Even Dany's death felt a little anticlimactic. Arya going exploring makes sense but I still don't love it cause I hate that after 7 seasons of the Starks trying to get back to each other, they all just ended up in different parts of the world. I mean good for Sansa for being named Queen but like she's all alone and being queen is never what she wanted! She's wanted nothing more than her family to be safe for seasons. And then Jon seriously ended up north of the Wall in the end? Part of me is like good suffer you asshole but then the rest of me is like what the hell was the point of his whole arc then? Why did they go through all the pain of killing him and resurrecting him to get him away from the Wall if he was going to end up there anyway???? Overall I think this finale took a big swing and missed by miles and honestly I'm just glad it's over.

FINISHED Legends of Tomorrow Season 4 Episode 16

I really went into this finale ready to hate it cause like I've hated the idea of Heyworld since it appeared a few episodes ago but tbh it ended up being not as terrible as I expected it to be which I suppose is a perfect example of a backhanded compliment. Neron's plan as it turns out had nothing to with the Eyes app and really that made no sense because if the point was to get everyone scared and then open up a portal to hell so that the demons could rule on Earth, why build the app at all? I also really liked that Heyworld ended up not actually working the way that the Legends intended cause I've always thought Heyworld was a smidge too far in this world even if last season we had a giant Bebo. I also really liked just how useful Constantine was cause like without him the Legends would have been super screwed and I really liked that Nate ended up dying only to come back to life with the help of Tabitha's giant wand and tbh it totally tracked for me that if fear could power her wand, love could too especially since the Fairy Godmother was supposed to be a force for good originally. It was actually really heartbreaking that Zari disappeared and was replaced by her brother in the team and that everyone forgot but I'm sure this isn't the last we see of her. I expect Nate to somehow remember next season and then go searching for her cause we spent so long getting to know Zari not her brother and it's she who deserves to be on the team. The small cameo from the Monitor was hilarious too cause he just appeared just to give the Legends his best judgmental look and I loved that moment when Sara and Nate and Gary were pretending to be the Trinity and when asked why they couldn't get the real Trinity to help, they were like we skipped the crossover so they weren't really down to help us and I died.

The 100 Season 6 Episode 4

Sooo who else called it that the Primes are probs not good people? The more interesting part is that the Children of Gabriel don't seem to be good either but I suppose in relation to the Primes who forced Clarke to become Josephine, they probs aren't that terrible. I bet though like every other group of people there are some extremists like the ones who wanted to kill Rose and then some less extreme like the guy that was trying to help Octavia. I'm still so curious about the backstory of this world and how they figured out how to transfer consciousness from one body to another though I have a feeling it's similar to how the Flame is passed from one commander to another since Nightblood is needed for both. I want to know why the other faction hates it so much cause like of course from our crew's POV it's terrible since you know consent and everything but the people of Sanctum clearly consent to this Naming Ceremony stuff. I wonder if it just has to do with Gabriel falling in love with a Prime host and then being furious when he lost that person to a previous reincarnation. I'm getting a little sick of Raven and some of the others constantly attacking Clarke and Octavia about what they did cause it's like yeah that stuff they did wasn't great but also everyone would make a similar choice if they had to and like can't we all just move on? Maybe that's sociopathic on my part but like look at Octavia and Dioza deciding to team up despite what happened last season and letting bygones be bygones. I can't imagine that Josephine will be able to pretend to be Clarke long enough to fool our crew long term and I assume it'll be either Bellamy or Abby or Madi that will figure it out cause there's no way Josephine will be able to fool those who love Clarke most.

The promo for next week was really short but it showed Josephine being told to pretend to be Clarke so that our crew wouldn't find out what's really going on in Sanctum and I'm sitting here like good luck with that. I also wonder why they're so scared of our crew cause it seems like Sanctum's people aren't good fighters but they know this land and have paralytics and stuff and clearly outnumber us.

Agents Of SHIELD Season 6 Episode 3

I HATE THIS SHOW SO MUCH! Why would it think that's it's okay to do this to me???? Just when I got all excited that Jemma and Daisy were in the same place as Fitz and Enoch, the show takes Fitz away!!! I don't entirely understand what's going on in terms of the Chronicons cause the head hunter said something about how Fitz is out of time with the whole dying thing but I assume it has something to do with paradoxes. If the current Fitz decides to live out his days in the current timeline, then he would never have gone to the future and if he never went to the future, then our SHIELD agents would never have come back to the present to create this paradox. Then again the hunter Chronicons didn't seem like they were all that friendly and honestly I felt like they were down to kill Fitz instead which begs the question that if there are no paradoxal problems, why not just let Fitz go? Despite this, I super enjoyed this episode cause it was so different than most SHIELD episodes. I mean Daisy and Jemma get high and bond while Fitz and Enoch go gambling after which Enoch has an existential breakdown making him feel like such a moodTM. Have I mentioned again how much I love that Enoch's around again this season? Now that he's been excommunicated from his planet and people, we can bring him to Earth. Not only is he hilarious (inadvertently) but he's smart and able to help us Earthlings navigate the larger universe. I really find this storyline much more interesting than whatever is happening down on Earth and part of that is cause I understand more of what our characters want here while Sarge and his whole crew haven't explained their plans yet so it's like meh.

The promo for next week seems to indicate that we're returning to Earth which is hilarious cause I just talked about how much more I enjoyed being in space... At least now Fitz and Enoch know Jemma and the crew are back in present time and Jemma and Enoch and Daisy know that Fitz is alive and with a Chronicon. I assume that they'll be trying to get to whatever planet Chronicons are from. I also hope that we get a bit more about what Sarge wants and what in the world he could want with Deke who by the way yay Deke! I wonder if they are after time displaced people like the Chronicons cause other than that Deke is pretty much all human. He's not even an inhuman.

Fruits Basket (2019) Season 1 Episode 8

It was the New Year's episode this week and overall I felt like most of the episode was fairly boring. The Sohmas were all headed back to the estate for the holiday though Yuki and Kyo weren't thrilled and Tohru decided to be alone and sad cause it was the first New Years without her mother. This is where Tohru's major flaw pops up in her inability to be selfish cause though it makes sense that she couldn't go to the Sohma New Years celebration as it was obviously closed to non-family, I'm sure Uo or Hana would have loved to have her at their house. I suppose she turned both down partially for plot reasons and for that scene where Yuki and Kyo came back for her. It's a little strange that Kyo even bothered going originally cause he's not a zodiac member and when they were describing the festivities, he wasn't allowed to go to the banquet so like why not stay home? Yuki however is for some reason Akito's favorite and I'm curious as to why that is. I'm sure the consequences for his neglect to come home for the holiday will have a price later and most likely Tohru will be paying it cause of Akito's jealously. We did meet a new zodiac character though not by name or animal form so we don't know who it is yet unless you've seen the original or read the manga.

Next week looks like it'll be the school race and the actual introduction of Hatsuharu!

What Shows Am I Watching This Week?

Hello everyone and welcome back! Let's dive right in shall we?

Game Of Thrones Season 8 Episode 5 

Holy hell amirite guys? This episode did absolutely nothing to fix any of the problems I have had with this season or the writing of this show but it does showcase the one thing that Game of Thrones does well and that's battle scenes. My heart was in my throat for the entire hour we spent attacking Kings Landing. Can I just say, Dark Dany came true and that has been my prediction for where the show was going to take her ever since Dany was in Meereen. I do like the arc that she took and I have to say that it was probably one of the best arcs to take a hero into a villain I have pretty much ever seen on tv. Dany has always been a fascinating character cause she started out in pretty much the same position as every woman in this show but she found her strength in her dragons and while at first they made her feel safe, after a while they started to make her feel powerful and without them she was nothing. I also really want to give props to Emilia on her acting cause it was amazing watching her sad softness around Jon harden the second he admitted he couldn't love her the way she wanted anymore and she realized that she had lost everyone who cared about her (except for Grey Worm but he's more of just looking for revenge than anything else.) The sudden snap Dany took as she watched Kings Landing surrender but decided to burn them all anyway was horrifying and seriously if Jon or Tyrion are on Dany's side next week I will be furious. We spent so much time in the streets watching how terrified the innocent people were and how she was burning them and killing them and all I could think was what a monster. Sidebar I wasn't thrilled with the Northern Army suddenly going insane and murdering and raping civilians either but at least Jon was trying to stop it and was just as horrified. I was also really really afraid that Arya might die at some point but thank goodness she made it out. My only complaint with this whole thing was that the deaths of Jaime and Cersei felt kinda vague and like I know in real life there's no way they could have survived the Red Keep falling on their heads but this is a tv show and deaths aren't real until we see bodies. Also so much for the prophecy Cersei was so afraid of!

Our kill count adds Varys, Euron, Hound, Mountain, Qyburn, and I think Jaimie and Cersei to the list. Next week is the finale and I'll be interested to see how it ends. After this week I can't see Dany on the throne so I except some sort of murder plot and I'd like it to be by Jon's hand as I predicted but who knows anymore. I also predicted that the Iron Throne would be no more and that the 7 Kingdoms would become 7 again but I have a stronger feeling that Jon will sit on it through the foreshadowing we keep getting.

FINISHED Arrow Season 7 Episode 22

Anyone else sobbing their damn eyes out at the end of this episode? No? Just me? Well I'm honestly so torn about what I just experienced because I've known for a while that I would hate how Arrow seemed to end due to the flash forwards. I hate the idea that of all the characters and of all the Arrowverse shows that it had to be Oliver and Arrow that could not end on a happy note because we literally spent 7 seasons falling in love with Oliver and Felicity and this world. This show literally began the Arrowverse because without Arrow being a hit, none of the Arrowverse or DC shows on CW would have made it so it seems horrid to me that it would be the only one where the characters couldn't ride off into the sunset. Up to the last second I still had hope that maybe just maybe we'd do something to change the future and in the back of my mind I still have that hope that maybe it still can be changed. As I assumed Oliver's disappearance had something to do with the Crisis and because of that I'm hoping that maybe just maybe the writers will change the ending and save Oliver instead! I did like the idea that Felicity went to wherever Oliver ended up after she made sure their kids were okay cause it's so bittersweet. It was also interesting cause I guess if the whole 8th season is about Crisis and setting up for Crisis, then it kind of works that Emily Bett Rickards is not coming back but we could also do Arrow without Oliver or Felicity cause their goodbye to Star City and the bunker felt very final especially with all the emphasis on how Team Arrow can protect the city just as well as Oliver. We also lost Emiko who did an about face in the weirdest way and we saw Laurel and Curtis and Brick returning which was a nice way to tie up loose ends. Honestly I probs will watch next season cause I'm a completist but I have a sad feeling it'll remind me of the final season of Once Upon A Time more than anything.

Legends of Tomorrow Season 4 Episode 15

What a crazy fun episode in which I loved every moment! It's nice to be back to really enjoying this show and I'm definitely glad I watched it after Arrow cause it definitely cheered me up a bit after I sobbed my eyes out over there. The Gary storyline had to be my favorite mostly cause of how completely insane it was. He got the Fairy Godmother on his side and seemed to have lost his evil nipple after Mona bit it off but he was still angry with the Legends and Ava so he attempted to torture them in his own fun way, after of course wishing for a third nipple. I completely understand Gary's anger with being treated as a punchline but I've always thought the best part of Gary was how he was the butt of the joke so I kind of hope that we don't get rid of it in the future! I also loved that Tabitha's big plan was to have her Fairy Godmother powers given to Nora by tricking her and what a smart plan tbh but also all they have to do is give her to Ray after all this is over and Nora can still live a normal life with the addition of extra cool powers now. Zari and Charlie's storyline was the least interesting but that doesn't mean that it still wasn't good though I don't love that the dragon egg hatched with baby Zari cause I really wanted it to imprint on adult Zari or Nate! I also completely understand why Constantine chose Astra over Ray cause how could he not want to save the little girl he accidentally sent to hell? Now that Nora's going down there I'm sure she'll help.

The promo for next week looks just as ridiculous as expected and I still hate the idea of Heyworld but I get it in the overall theme of things. I don't entirely understand why we can't get the Time Bureau agents to mind wipe everyone who saw the creatures at the press conference and have Ray tell the public that the whole press conference was a joke but I guess it's funnier this way so why not.

FINISHED The Flash Season 5 Episode 22 

It's interesting that both the Arrow and the Flash finale this week ended up having similar ways of ending in that the season long Big Bad was defeated earlier in the episode and then the rest focused on other stuff, in Flash's case that was Eobard. None of that to say that I didn't like what I watched cause I actually really enjoyed this finale of Flash and the way it ended. I had always wondered how Nora would have existed if the timeline was changed the way it was cause with her return to the past, she moved the Crisis up to next year which means that if Barry had disappeared then Iris would have to be pregnant right now so I expected in the back of my mind to end the season with Iris being pregnant. I low key blame Barry and Nora for the heartbreak I had to go through over on Arrow cause without them, Oliver wouldn't have to make the tough choices he did but that's enough on that cause this is my Flash review not Arrow. I probs should have been sadder about Nora's disappearance from the timeline but tbh I never really liked Nora that much so I wasn't really sad but I liked how Barry and Iris dealt with their pain afterwards and how she chose to disappear rather than become evil like Eobard just to save herself. We also removed Grace!Cicada from the timeline and woke up little Grace who really is tragic cause she's waking up to find out that a future version of her killed the last family she had and all because little Grace allowed herself to stew in her anger. Joe was promoted to Captain of the CCPD and Captain Singh was awesome for being like of course I know you're the Flash Barry. Cisco also took the cure which makes me wonder if he'll be in the next season or not or if it was just Carlos Valdes who was like I'd rather stand around Star Labs like Iris then be out in costume in the field like Willa Holland on Arrow wanted. 

The 100 Season 6 Episode 3

I'm really enjoying this new world we're in even if it's super confusing and I don't entirely understand what's going on. As I assumed last week, it seems as though Sanctum's people have somehow figured out a way to transfer their conscious from body to body so every time a baby with Nightblood is born, they get one of the Prime placed into their body. Maybe it's something similar to the chip that the Commanders had and that Madi has right now. There also seems to be another group outside of Sanctum that seems to want to kill the Primes and while at first I assumed that they will be our villains, I'm starting to think that the Sanctum people will probably end up being our Big Bads since they're not as welcoming as they wanted our crew to believe. For some reason they think violence is a disease and that anyone who carries the gene needs to be removed from Sanctum and seriously what lame logic cause if everyone's just chilling in Sanctum, what need is there for violence anyway? There's no war or lack of resources or anything that would require fighting. I'm sure with the reveal that Clarke has Nightblood, she'll be targeted by the Sanctum people to have a Prime put inside her which I'm assuming will end up leading to the war against them. Honestly Sanctum is so outmatched and the only reason that our crew might not make it just because we don't know this world yet. I'm also trying to think back about whether or not there's anyone left on the mothership cause the leaders of Sanctum said that we can't bring anymore down but I think most of our main characters are down here. I'm also super curious about this other faction but the fact that Octavia is with them right now will probably help us figure that out.

The promo for next week was a bit hard to understand cause it looked like flashes of people in random places with Octavia's voiceover. If I had to guess, I'd say Octavia and Dioza will meet up and try to escape from whatever faction they got caught in and it'll be fun cause these two hate each other. I also assume that the new guy might end up being a new love interest for Octavia cause her meeting with him was similar to her meeting with Lincoln back in season 1.

FINISHED Riverdale Season 3 Episode 22

As per my response after pretty much every Riverdale episode, I'm sitting here like the actual hell did I just watch. It's kind of hilarious cause I feel like this episode was basically taking everything the audience complained about for these past two seasons and were like okay so you don't like how insane we've taken the show and want to return to season 1 status quo, okay we've got you. I'm sort of in the middle when it comes to this show cause I do miss the high school drama that this show has season 1 but I also enjoy the mystery when it feels more realistic. We've got our crazy story over on Sabrina so let's allow Riverdale to be a bit more grounded. I also know that the final scene that took place in spring break of senior year was to hint at a possible Jughead death and though part of me could see Cole Sprouse being the only one of the core four to want to leave Riverdale cause he is the biggest star of the group, I can't imagine that they would kill him off cause not only are he and Betty the most loved characters on the show but he's dating Lili and if he left the show, it'd be harder to spend time together. But enough about that, let's talk about what happened tonight. It turned out that the Gargoyle King was actually Chic and that he was working with Hal and Penelope to destroy the town and now Hal is dead and Chic is in jail I think but Penelope is still on the loose. I liked this a lot cause it ties everything together in a nice knot and makes sense in hindsight. It also turns out that Alice was working the FBI to take down The Farm which honestly feels like more of a retcon than what actually was happening in order to fix Alice's character. I do like the idea that Charles is alive though cause of course a teen drama wouldn't get rid of such a juicy storyline even if it makes Betty and Jughead dating a bit weird now that they share a half-sibling.

Agents Of SHIELD Season 6 Episode 2

Is it any surprise that I really enjoyed this week's episode? After all it was a Fitz centric one and I'm super down for those. It was interesting seeing that Fitz is returning a bit more to his pre-Framework mindset and personality rather than the Fitz from last season who would do anything and everything to get from point A to point B. I wonder if that has to do with the fact that the audience prefers that Fitz cause story wise season 6 Fitz should be the same as season 5 Fitz cause he didn't go through any of the season 5 moments but honestly I don't mind it cause I also prefer the pre-Framework Fitz. I really liked that we saw Enoch again after he died last season and that he and Fitz are working to get back to cryo-sleep cause these poor souls don't know that everyone is back in present time. I assume that they're headed to the same place that Jemma and Daisy were last week though now Fitz will have to make a pit stop elsewhere in order to get the engineers he saved to safety. Hopefully we don't have a ships passing in the night scenario with Fitz and Jemma! Over on Earth, we still don't know what Sarge and his crew are up to or who they are though now it seems like they are jumping from world to world in order to destroy it but there must be more to that. I think we were told though that this crew is jumping through different dimensions rather than being aliens like I first assumed they were. I also assumed that maybe this crew is some sort of species that takes over dead bodies like Hive did which is why Sarge has Coulson's face and seems to remember the name Coulson but then we saw that weird video at the end of the episode and suddenly I'm not so sure anymore!

The promo seems to show that Daisy and Jemma did end up in the same place that Fitz did so yay possible reunion next week??? It also looks like Enoch and Fitz will be attempting to gamble for something (possibly the cryo-pod?) and I can't wait to see what happens!

Fruits Basket (2019) Season 1 Episode 7

You know for some reason Hatori never really clicked for me back in the original version and he still doesn't here. Like my brain clearly understands that his backstory is sad and I want to feel for him but my heart's just like sucks dude. Maybe it's cause I never really understood why Kana had to have her memories erased or why she blamed herself for his eye getting hurt. Like it was pretty clear to me that it was all Akito's fault for overreacting when Hatori told him about wanting to get married and it seems silly to me that Kana would be so heartbroken over this when it should have just strengthened her resolve to love him. It's also ridiculous that Hatori never blamed Akito for anything and blamed himself and his curse for it instead cause Kana clearly had no problem with Hatori being the dragon of the zodiac so it wasn't that! Sidebar but Hatori literally has the worst transformation cause at least the other zodiacs can move around in their forms. I did love the animation in this episode though cause the original never really showed us how sweeping the Sohma estate is and there's definitely like hundreds of Sohmas in this family isn't there? I'm still really curious about why Akito clearly hates it when anyone in the zodiac is happy and why if he was so pissed that Hatori had Kana then why is he okay with Tohru living with the Sohmas? I mean clearly there's a plan in place especially with the evil glare Akito gave Tohru as he drove by.

I'm not sure what next week's episode could be. I can't remember which zodiac appears next though I'm thinking it might be Hatsuharu?

What Shows Am I Watching This Week?

Hello everyone and welcome back! Let's dive right in shall we?

Game Of Thrones Season 8 Episode 4 

I don't think I really entirely liked this episode that much and mostly that's just cause I cannot for the life of me figure out why we can't see more than five seconds of the Starks interacting. They're the core of our show no matter what anyone thinks and the fact that we keep getting more Lannister brother interactions or Stark with a random person interactions is driving me batty. What's worse is that we keep cutting away every time a scene gets interesting. How did Arya and Sansa react to Jon's parentage? Who knows. Did Arya tell anyone she's leaving Winterfell? Doesn't matter. Did Jon say goodbye to his siblings before he left? Not that we saw. It's ridiculous and I know it has to do with the way the writers like to write this show and that's by hiding the important scenes so that we'll be shockedTM when the twists happen like with Arya killing the Night King last week but what they're not understanding is that plot twists only make sense if there's a clear path in hindsight like with Ned's death and the Red Wedding for example. Despite that I definitely enjoyed that scene in the Godswood with our Starks and I loved that Arya took Sansa's side again but I didn't love that Sansa almost immediately told Tyrion about Jon after she promised she wouldn't say anything. It was a little bitchy tbh even if I understand where she was coming from. Also can we talk about Ghost and how Jon didn't even bother to hug him goodbye and was like yeah I'm never going to see Ghost again, don't actually care that much about this direwolf who I loved for years. Ugh. We also got Brienne and Jaime hooking up which was nice but he also immediately left her to go back to Cersei after which I'm still voting on a murder/suicide type situation though Arya seems to be headed that way too so who knows who'll get there first. Gendry was legitimized as well and he asked Arya to marry him which was super sweet but Arya turned him down and really I was just surprised that his parentage didn't end up mattering the way I thought it might after all the times we heard that he needs to keep it a secret. It was smart of Dany to give him Storm's End though she doesn't know how strong his love for the Starks are so that plan might not work. I totally thought we lost Rhaegal last week but it was fine only to be killed this week by Euron which was super badass and out of nowhere and I screamed. Cersei is still the baddest bitch in this show and I live for her moments and how much more power she projects than Dany does. It's like I've said for a while but Dany is nothing without her dragons compared to Cersei who always feels like she has ten backup plans in mind while Dany just charges into things guns ablaze.

The kill list brings us Rhaegal and Missandei this week and the promo for next week looks like it should be the battle for Kings Landing. Emilia did say in an interview that it might be even more exciting that the Battle For Winterfell and so I expect Dany to burn it to the ground though I'm not sure if that'll be enough to get her supporters to change sides although it does seem that Varys is already halfway out the door. I thought for a while that Missandei's death at some point this season might change Grey Worm's allegiance but like with it happening at Cersei's hand, I don't think we'll be seeing that anytime soon. Jon is being such a doormat this season that I'm just exhausted by him so who knows what'll happen there.

Arrow Season 7 Episode 21

Honestly this episode wasn't that bad but I'm just all around just sad about this show and that is coloring every episode of Arrow I watch. It's been a slowly building sadness all season with these horrible flash forwards that keep telling us that everything sucks and that every decision our heroes made was the wrong one. Arrow has been my favorite show in the Arrowverse so it sucks that out of all the shows, this one is the one giving a life sucks and never get better vibe. I'm also not looking forward to the shortened next season cause Emily isn't returning and I just can't see a good way this show can write her off cause she's literally Oliver's wife. They hinted at her leaving to raise Mia away from Star City but that would mean Oliver would abandon his family like his father did and that's not even mentioning the horrible William situation where both Oliver and Felicity are just like meh whatever who wants to go check up on that kid? If Felicity is going in hiding with Mia, why can't William join them? On the other hand, of course I adored the return of Tommy cause it's always a pleasure when he pops up and I liked that he was basically being the voice inside Oliver's head that didn't want to kill his sister who now also knows about Felicity being pregnant and honestly it's a little ridiculous that everyone but Rene, Roy and Dinah know about it. I think the writers really shot themselves in the foot by doing these flash forwards and nothing this show does will change that for me. I'm not sure if we're supposed to believe that the SCPD and Star City now hates the vigilantes again and that Emiko's plan worked or if the fact that all the cops died means that we're kinda in the clear. All I want is a happy ending for my Arrow family next season cause they all deserve it and no one wants to end an eight season show with everyone sad!

The promo for next week looks kinda boring and it's super weird cause it's the finale but with the penultimate episode being meh, I have a feeling the finale will be meh too and that's unfortunate. I guess I'm looking forward to seeing how the show will write Felicity off and whether or not they fix anything for the future.

Legends of Tomorrow Season 4 Episode 14

I was kinda meh about tonight's episode but only because I'm really not a fan of Mona so episodes that are heavy on her bore me. This wouldn't have been entirely bad except I wasn't a fan of Constantine's story either which left only the Legends stranded as fun for me hence my rating of this episode. I do love Gary though and of course it was his evil nipple that hypnotized the Time Bureau but that didn't make this any less fun to watch. Of course now apparently Mona isn't just a beast because of her scratch like most werewolf stories but apparently it's more like she's possessed by Wolfie which I don't entirely understand for many reasons that I hope we touch on only to get an explanation. Constantine's storyline was pretty boring but it sucked that he ended up doing exactly what Neuron wanted and honestly I didn't understand why if he could do magic the whole time why he didn't escape earlier or at least use his hands to get the chains off of the magical creature that was trapped with him. I do like the idea that he's going to hell to find Ray and it was beyond hilarious that the Tabitha who Neuron so wanted to get back ended up being the Fairy Godmother. It seems like they want to put her into Mona's body which would make the makeouts even weirder than when Neuron kissed Fairy Godmother in Ray's body. Over on the Waverider, I loved Zari and Nate working on protecting the egg and I'm glad they're together cause like Sara said maybe there won't be any weirdness around them anymore. I loved that they ended up playing that game Ray made a couple of episodes ago and the talk that Sara and Mick had about being the only two OG Legends left which once again makes me fear that Sara might be leaving the Legends next season and I hope that's not true cause she is one of the best parts.

The promo for next week is interesting cause it seems like Neuron wants to send random innocent people to hell and it made me realize that we never really learned what Neuron's goal was other than to bring Tabitha back. Why does he want to send people to hell? To get back at being sent there himself? Does it even matter? I hope we see Constantine in hell as well.

The Flash Season 5 Episode 21 

So tonight was the penultimate episode and fitting to the theme of the week in the Arrowverse shows, it was kinda meh as well but I do have to admit that the cliffhanger at the end of the episode did make me excited for the finale so perhaps the episode wasn't too bad as a penultimate episode after all. It's only fitting that the cliffhanger dealt with Eobard and not Grace!Cicada because the writers know he's much more interesting than anything either Cicada has done all season. I wonder if maybe Cicada would have been a more interesting villain if he took the place of Eobard this season in that he was someone from Nora's future who was friends with her or helped her with her powers only to end up being the villain kinda like Hunter in season 2. It certainty couldn't have made it worse cause the amount no one cared about Cicada was hilarious. I also don't understand Grace!Cicada's mind sight either cause she blames Nora for her the death of her family but ironically she's the one who came back and murdered her own uncle allowing for Grace to wake up in a world in which she has no family. I also loved that Ralph was the only one all episode to focus on the idea of Eobard maybe having an ulterior motive but it was super out of character for Barry to continuously dismiss Ralph's ideas cause it's like Ralph's right about all of this and even if Barry was too busy to think about it, he should have let Ralph do his thing. Having said that, I still don't entirely know what Eobard's plan is but if it is what I'm thinking, he's such a genius tbh. He has the dagger strapped to him in the future and I assume it's kinda of like a meta-cuff that the police strapped on him so he must be hoping that by destroying the dagger in the past then he won't be captured in the future and can escape from his death sentence.

Ugh ignore everything I said apparently cause in the promo for next week, it seems like we haven't actually captured Grace!Cicada and Eobard isn't the main focus of the finale after all. I guess maybe Ralph was able to stop Barry from destroying the dagger and in the time that he explains the plan, Grace!Cicada gets away in order to regroup and recapture Barry but I'm still hoping that it'll be a problem solved earlier in the episode leaving Eobard to be a problem later.

The 100 Season 6 Episode 2

This episode was super interesting in that I was really interested in one storyline and really didn't care about the second. I suppose part of the storyline I loved about being up in the ship was that we were fighting new people rather than bringing up problems from the past like we were doing down on Alpha. It sucks super hard that the sedatives only keep you sedated for 3 hours cause they're stuck in this toxic eclipse for 2 days and as we can see, our crew is waaaay too smart to be stopped by restraining cuffs. Like seriously Murphy escaped in five seconds, Miller tried to beat himself to death and Clarke almost killed herself. It was interesting seeing how the toxin effected everyone cause it didn't seem to effect everyone the same and it seemed a bit like it pulls out your worst fears or versions of yourself. I'm hoping in a way that this is how our problems with each other from last season are resolved cause it's like I know they've all got real problems with each other and how they dealt with their problems last season but it's been a year for the audience and I'm honestly over all the drama and tbh I can't even remember what everyone's pissed at soooo. This leads back to Octavia and her struggle on the ship. She's in a bit of a suicidal state in that she really wants to die but she can't do it herself so she's hoping someone else will do it for her and honestly I really feel for her. She wasn't a good person last season but it's interesting cause she never denies what she did wrong. She knows she was bad but she also knows that she did it cause the people needed her to be the big bad scary queen. I really hope that she gains forgiveness this season cause I don't think she didn't anything worse than what Clarke did last season or Lexa did season 2 or Bellamy did season 3 and they've all been forgiven. I'm curious about this world we've landed in and where everyone is. Is everyone just children because once they die and they get reborn through taking DNA from the dead bodies and using embryos? It would make sense as to why everyone in this colony is a child except for the few. I'm also curious about why Alpha's first response was to try to take over the ship. Why not try to reach out and see what happens first cause seriously the fact that they tried to be all stealth was the reason that our crew starting killing. Also tbh but our crew are monsters so Alpha really shouldn't pick a fight.

Well the promo for next week seems to show that there are in fact more adults and there's a queen of some sort intermixed with Clarke trying to claim that they come in peace while our crew is killing people which is ironic. I wonder if we'll stay here or end up moving cause it feels like Alpha doesn't want to stay on this moon and I mean we do have a ship so why not move onto the next available planet? 

Riverdale Season 3 Episode 21

What a crazy penultimate episode of Riverdale I just watched! On one hand Jughead finds out that the Gargoyle King is Jason Blossom through Ethel who is just as weird as always so he treks out to Jason's grave to find an empty coffin. On the other hand Betty learns that The Farm is actually a cover for organ harvesting so she tries to warn the others only to be captured by Edgar to have something removed from her body. Oh and Veronica and Archie try to get Hiram arrested for like the billionth time and supposedly it succeeds but I have my doubts. So I really couldn't understand why Betty decided to stay at the Farm after knowing how sketchy they were and to no one's surprise, she's pretty much a prisoner there now. At the very least Toni escaped so she might be able to warn Jughead and FP so hopefully they get to the Sisters in time to stop this surgery. I kind of like the idea that the whole thing is a way to harvest organs cause I was wondering what they were up to all season and where they were getting their money from and this makes total sense. I also bet that the way the Farmies are seeing their dead loved ones is through the hypnosis Edgar was attempting on Betty. It is super weird that Jason might suddenly be alive and a murderer at that but I have a feeling it's probs not Jason and actually some other Blossom child (possibly Claudius's?) What this reveal did to however is finally make me interested in the Gargoyle King even the slightest. As I said earlier, I think it was a little too easy for Veronica and Archie to take down Hiram so I have a feeling that he somehow got out of it or will get out of it which is why Veronica turned down Archie at the end cause that whole scene with Reggie was real sketch and I think she's trying to protect Archie somehow.

The promo for next week shows that our whole gang will be playing one last game of G&G and since Betty is there, I guess she does escape. We also see that it is in fact Hal under the Black Hood and not some random person like I guessed last week. I like the idea of ending the season with one last game of G&G to wrap everything up and hopefully we find out whether Jason is really alive or not!

Agents Of SHIELD Season 6 Episode 1

What a fun premiere! I'm so excited that SHIELD is back cause I adore this show and though I wasn't a fan of season 5, I'm hoping that with a shorter season that we'll be able to really buckle in and tell a good story with excellent CGI/VFX. I loved what I saw so far of the season and it makes me wonder whether we'll spend it in two places (Earth and space) or if we'll end up combining the two quicker than expected after we find Fitz in like the next few episodes. Of course the space stuff was the more interesting to me not only because all my favorite characters are up there but because I'm a smidge more interested in exploring the cosmic world. This is really funny cause my struggle last season was that I like when SHIELD stays grounded cause their grounded episodes are the best (hello season 2 and 4 with your spy missions) and when it gets too crazy, it doesn't make that much sense anymore. Most of our characters (minus Daisy and YoYo) are just plain human so it makes them feel kinda useless in the face of aliens and stuff. We also learned according to the showrunners that this is taking place outside of the marvel movie verse which to me feels like it's probs after endgame after Tony snapped everyone back to normal. I'm curious to find out where Fitz is and what's been up with him but I'm also curious about who this crew of teleporting aliens are and why one of them looks like Coulson. I also like that we've added new characters cause it was about time that SHIELD had more agents (cannon fodder or extras) to do things cause it felt a little unreal to only have like 6 agents of SHIELD. The idea of opening up a new SHIELD Academy is a great idea and I hope that happens by the end of the season. We also saw no Deke and we know he's in this season so I was surprised that he wasn't in space with Jemma and Daisy cause it's his grandfather too!

The promo for next week shows everyone being confused about the face-snatching Coulson and I'm curious too cause they're obviously aliens no? I also wonder if we'll find Fitz next week cause I can't imagine that with this shortened season that they'll drag out finding him but at the same time it would be fun to separate the show into two stories in two places to replace the three pod way of writing that we've been doing the last two seasons.

Fruits Basket (2019) Season 1 Episode 6

It was interesting that this episode put together both the school festival and Uo and Hana's visit to the Sohma home. I ended up enjoying it a lot more than I expected cause again the over-the-top childish humor from the 2001 version wasn't present and I found myself more interested in what was going on. We met Momiji and Hatori though we only learned that Momiji is the rabbit but I loved Momiji in the original so I was thrilled to see him again in all his cuteness. I also am living for all of Tohru's mom's quotes we get every week cause they're always so full of insight and damn it all if Kyoko isn't like the world's greatest mom! We got another Yuki and Tohru moment up on the rooftop but since I'm a Kyo and Tohru girl, it didn't do too much for me though Yuki was obviously thrilled since she said that calling him cute was a way to show him affection. I also really liked that later in the episode Kyo and Yuki were able to explain to Uo and Hana that Tohru loved them as much as they loved her but she just didn't show it the way they expected to and I'm pretty sure that's what sealed the deal for them cause it was clear the Sohma boys not only respect and care for Tohru but they understand her as well. It was an interesting parallel to Akito cause while Tohru deserves the moon she never asks for it while Akito does while he doesn't deserve it. It's interesting that this version is showing a closer bond between Shigure and Akito than the original version and though I was accidentally spoiled as to why and what that means by manga readers, I won't spoil it here. I was also really interested in the new added scene where Tohru tells the story about how a little boy helped her get home and gave her a hat to remember him by and I'm really curious as to whether that boy was Yuki or Kyo. The shipper in me wants to say Kyo cause Tohru all but said that kid was her first love, the realist in me thinks it might be Yuki cause it looked like Kyo overheard her in the hall but didn't seem to react at all.

Next week looks like the episode where Tohru goes to the Sohma estate and learns Hatori's backstory.

What Shows Am I Watching This Week?

Hello everyone and welcome back! Let's dive right in shall we?

Game Of Thrones Season 8 Episode 3 

I struggled so hard about how to start this review cause my feelings were all over the place after watching this episode. I wrote a review almost immediately after I finished the episode only to come back a few days later and rewrite it after having thought about it more. Here's what I came up with. Overall I did enjoy the episode and I loved several moments but I did think that I was a little underwhelmed by the whole thing. Battle episodes have never truly been my favorite episodes cause I tend to enjoy more character driven ones and I was never really into the story of the Night King and the White Walkers cause I always thought this show was more about grey characters and politics than zombies. Because of this I predicted before this season started that the Night King threat would be defeated pretty early on so that the rest of the season could be focused on Cersei and Dark Dany so I wasn't exactly shocked that the battle ended in one episode like others. I was also not disappointed with the fact that Arya was the one to kill the Night King cause I loved that all her training led her to do this moment. It was such poetic cinema that for the last two seasons all we've been hearing is that Dany and her dragons are going to save the day but in fact they did nothing and it was the Starks themselves who saved the day. It was hilarious how Jon literally saw a whole bunch of people he cared about in danger (like Sam) but was like nah my family is more important to me. I also really loved the cinematography at the start with how everything was pitch black until the wights were right on top of us cause it was so creative and felt so real. I loved the moments down in the crypt where Tyrion and Sansa gathered up all their bravery to fight (even if their actual fight got cut out) and I almost cried right there with Dany when Jorah died to protect her. What really bothered me I think was not only how easily the Night King went down (like why couldn't anyone else have stabbed at any other point in the series??) but also that Bran did nothing with his 3-Eyed Raven abilities and that despite what we were told, almost none of our main characters died making the stakes of the battle feel low.

I'm really interested to see what happens now. I do believe that we'll be seeing an even darker spiral for Dany especially now that the one man who loved her for her just died and I have no doubt that she'll end up being killed by Jon after a Dance of Dragons type situation. I also really want to see the Starks actually spend time with one another cause it's been forever since they have and by focusing on them interacting with others, we've kind of lost the core of what this show is and how are we supposed to care about if Cersei or Dany or whoever is targeting them if we're not shown why we care about them in the first place?

Arrow Season 7 Episode 20

I adored this episode which was a fun twist cause when it started out I was really annoyed with the whole thing but by the end, I was super on board. I hated that Dinah was interrogating our team cause it felt super out of character for her to think one of Team Arrow were murderers and for her not to give them the benefit of the doubt which is why when the twist came that in fact she was in on everything from the start, the way I viewed the episode shifted entirely. This in fact might be one of my favorite episodes of the season! The way this episode was shot was super fun with us finding our team after a mission and then slowly learning what happened from each person's point of view. I did guess pretty early on that it was probs Roy who killed those guards based on the flash forwards in which at one point he went on a rampage but it was still fun to watch it play out and it was a fun twist that his rage came from a Lazarus Pit rather than Mirakuru. I also freaking adored that Roy was back in the present day cause when we found out that he'd be back for the season I was super pumped only to be bummed out when it was only in the flash forwards which I don't love. I loved how much Oliver and Diggle and Felicity love him and how they were so gung-ho on protecting him cause they know him and know what a good man he is unlike Rene and Dinah who only know him by rumor. I still don't entirely understand Emiko's unadulterated hatred of Oliver cause like again Oliver personally did nothing to her except try to be a good brother but I get that her anger is misplaced and I liked that Oliver found out about how she could have saved the Gambit cause I think it really does place her in the unable to be saved box now. It's interesting that the only person who can touch her is in fact Rene and not Oliver himself. It also makes me wish that Thea would come back so we could see them interact as well.

Next week looks super fun with everyone except Felicity stuck under that building and I can't wait to see what happens. I'm worried about the security footage reaching the SCPD but I'd like to hope that Felicity intercepts it or the cop who gets it ignores it if Emiko really does attempt to destroy the city.

Legends of Tomorrow Season 4 Episode 13

I'm really glad that I returned to be into this week's episode of Legends cause last week I was a bit bored but this week everything except for maybe one storyline was super fun. I can never decide if I'm down with Zari and Nate as a couple but honestly I love Zari so much that I don't entirely care how out of nowhere this relationship appeared. Something about this pairing just works and suddenly I'm not bored when Nate appears on screen and I don't find him as interesting as a plank of wood and I do think that maybe he and Zari have more chemistry than him and Amaya did. I'm glad that they finally kissed this week and it was a sweet moment in fact because I think if they dragged the will they/won't they thing on for much longer, it might have been annoying. I do love that the entire team is like taking bets and teasing our crew cause it's amazing. Sara and Ava spent the episode at book club and I kind of love that Sara ended up audiobooking it at a high speed cause that's totally something she would do and it was even funnier when we found out that Ava actually doesn't even read the books. Mona is still the worst and she basically went to Romantic Con to out Mick and seriously that was such an asshole move cause it was none of her business whether or not her favorite author came to talk. The final storyline with Ray was the only one I wasn't down with and mostly that's cause of the annoying trope of someone knowing something but being unable to tell other people cause the whole time I was like why won't Ray tell anyone about being possessed?? It did help when later we were told that someone possessed by a demon can't tell other people about being possessed but the damage was done tbh. It was a funny twist to have Gary switch sides cause of his nipple which was everything.

Next week's promo didn't show too much but it looks like Neuron kidnapped Constantine after tonight? I just can't wait to see how Nate and Zari keep going and Brandon Routh playing evil Neuron and I kind of hope the dragon egg hatches and ends up being imprinted on like Zari cause that would be funny.

The Flash Season 5 Episode 20 

Ugh the concept for this episode was a good one but the execution not so much. I loved the idea of Nora using the negative speedforce and becoming a bit of a rogue but the fact that the switch to the rescue all happened in one episode is really lame. I shouldn't have been surprised tbh cause The Flash loves to take really fun concepts and blow through them in one episode. I'm still pissed that Iris forgave Barry so quickly after what he did and it's just as annoying that Nora forgave him so quickly as well cause if we were really going to do that, why didn't his talk with her earlier in the episode work? Maybe she needed the Young Rogues to turn on her first but that just leaves a bit of an awkward taste in my mouth as if Nora would only come home if she had no other options. I do like the plan that Eobard and Nora came up with and I'm still annoyed as hell that Cicada is still around and our Big Bad. It seems like Grace!Cicada is seeing her uncle as a ghost and I guess that's supposed to tell us that the shrapnel in her head really is making her mad. We also didn't get any Eobard tonight either and I just guess I'm still waiting for the moment where we learn what his actual plan is cause I can't see it being as simple as wanting to do good for once before he dies but I also don't know if he's entirely using Nora as a chess piece. I did really love the conversation between Joe and Barry about what being a dad means cause it felt real that Barry still didn't feel like a parent but I still can't get past the fact that the show keeps talking about how Nora will never leave her parents and how they'll never leave her and I'm over here like I don't think you can live in the present day permanently so eventually you will have to leave... Caitlin and Ralph in the arctic talking about love was amazing too especially when Ralph assumed that Caitlin was hitting on him and how completely offended she was by that statement.

Next week is the penultimate episode and I'm interested to see what we end up doing. The plan Eobard and Nora made up will only really work for Cicada's dagger but that won't stop Grace!Cicada cause her powers came from something else and on top of that she has the killer version of the meta cure.

The 100 Season 6 Episode 1

Once upon a time this used to be my favorite show on air but now it's fairly low on my list of favorite shows. What it still does really well is play with the idea of what makes us human and how far can we push until we're monsters? I still love the idea of this and I love following our characters despite how far they've fallen. It's hilarious cause our crew are really all terrible people by now and it's like now that they've destroyed Earth, it's time for them to try again at a new planet. It's a little sad seeing how much they all want to do better and be better but since this is the 100, I highly highly doubt that our crew can have a minute to relax and not fight. We haven't met any of the new people on this planet but without a doubt I'm sure we'll be going to war with them soon enough. It's super strange though that even if this planet is a horrible one, wouldn't it make more sense if the natives on this planet at least attempted to communicate with our crew? How do they know that they wouldn't let them leave with them? Either way if they did steal that ship, they're in for a huge surprise once they get back to the station cause Octavia's awake and she'll be ready to kill if she has to. I'm also interested in how one of the pictures on the planet showed Sean Maguire cause I can't imagine this show cast him just to have a tiny cameo! 

Next week's promo is pretty vague though it looks like our crew on the ground will all attack each other due to whatever poison is in the air on this planet. I also hope we get to see the natives reach the station!

Riverdale Season 3 Episode 20

I am over the mystery of this season if I'm being honest cause I've never been a fan of The Gargoyle King. Every time I see him I'm like why can't one of our crew tackle him? Like seriously it's not like he's carrying a gun like the Black Hood or something and we keep being told that Archie can fight and Jughead obviously can too being the head of a gang so why not? Betty tried this week but this time he had backup with who we're supposing is the Black Hood but I don't know if I believe. All episode I was on Betty's side of the argument that like of course Hal escaped cause why would the show kill him off but by the time the episode ended, I think he's actually dead. Edgar seemed too sure that the Black Hood would never attack the Farm and I think that's cause he told someone to dress up like the Black Hood and attack Betty so she would have no choice but to come to the Farm for help especially since Hal has always seen Betty as a protege of sorts and I can't see him trying to kill her whether he escapes or not. Sidebar but why is the Farm the only safe place for Betty? Like go stay with Jughead who's father is the Sheriff or Veronica who's father probably has security of some kind! I also was a bit disappointed that Edgar didn't turn out to be the Gargoyle King cause that would have really tied both mysteries together but it did give us that glorious shirtless scene of Chad Michael Murray so all is forgiven tbh. The Archie stuff was boring as per usual and I especially don't love how it ended cause his mom was right in that Archie needs to think about his future and by her just agreeing to his plan to become a professional boxer, she's being a terrible mom!

The promo for next week shows us Betty at the Farm and I do hope that she's playing them similarly to how she played the Sisters cause though I could see Betty as a prime candidate for being seduced by the Farm, after all she knows, I can't imagine that she'll truly join them. Also we're just straight ignoring the facts that Evelyn is 30 and Alice is about to become a sister-wife? Cool cool cool cool cool.

Fruits Basket (2019) Season 1 Episode 5

Ha remember when I said that Kyo and Tohru were too young or too early in their new relationship to like each other? Well as it turns out, Kyo is pretty much head over heels for Tohru already but he doesn't understand what those feelings are which is so precious. I love that he told her that it was okay to be selfish sometimes since Tohru really needed to hear that. Tohru is such a great character cause she's kind and always thinks the best of others but her fatal flaw is that she's too much of a people pleaser and puts others before her to the degree where she hurts herself so that others will be happy. It was sweet that this reminded her of her mother and I loved that Kyo freaked out a little seeing her cry. I do think this version of Tohru is written to be stronger and less of a passive doormat than the 2001 Tohru so I'm super on board with her. I loved that the minute Tohru left, Yuki and Kyo were like chickens with their heads cut off and Shigure was just perfection with his teasing of them. It was super sweet of them to wait until Tohru admitted how she felt to her grandfather about wanting to go back to the Sohmas cause they were right in that it was Tohru's decision to make and it was their turn to be selfless instead of her. Her cousins were just as awful as they were in the 2001 version and I felt the same happiness when her grandfather smacked her guy cousin and I was low key thrilled at how distraught he was over Yuki being a guy.

Next week's episode looks like it'll be the one where Tohru's friends find out she's living with the Sohmas and if I remember correctly it was a filler episode but I'll be interested to see what changes will be made cause this version has a lot less out-and-out humor than the 2001 version.
