What Shows Am I Watching This Week?

FINISHED Astra Lost In Space Episode 12

Wow what a crazy finale! As I had guessed it was longer than a normal episode in order to fit everything cause we needed to see where everyone ended up beyond just returning to Astra. We started the episode though with Charce explaining what the actual history for Astra was and I do have to admit it was a little too convenient that Vixia passed the real history from King to King but at the same time it makes sense cause you know with something huge like that someone would have said something cause secrets never stay hidden. Last week I had mentioned it was super confusing that just 12 years would be enough to rewrite history which is why I was super into the explanation that the government just pushed everyone back a hundred years so that it was actually 2163 not 2063. It also explains the smaller population on Astra cause duh humans are the worst so when it came out that Earth was going to be destroyed, of course everyone fought and killed half of the population! It also gives a great reason as to why none of the surviving people ever mentioned Earth again cause it's like a new chance and all that. It was a little fast to have all the parents arrested so quickly but I get it cause the show is more about the kids though I did like that the King of Vixia got a special arrest cause he was possibly one of the worst. I even liked where everyone ended up though I do wish the show had talked about what Luca and Aries did after graduating. Kanata, Zack and Charce went back to space though it seems like Zack went back to science/tech while Charce became King of Vixia too, Yunha became a singer, Ulgar a journalist, and Quitterie a model. Zack and Quitterie got married and Kanata and Aries it seems are about to. I even liked the idea of naming their first daughter Seira! Overall I really ended up enjoying this show. It was darker than I expected it to be at the start and it was definitely more emotional!

Titans Season 2 Episode 3

Ugh damn this cliffhanger! I'm loving Deathstroke as the villain cause I love when we have smart villains! I knew from when he mentioned thinning the herd that he would end up getting either Jason or Gar but tbh I thought it would be Gar cause at least Jason has enough training to be able to fight. I also know we're trying to save money or whatever and like I get why fight training is good but Gar's whole thing is to become animals so if he should be training, it should be about shapeshifting! Despite that I do love the friendship between Jason and Gar and even the not-so-great relationship between Jason and Rachel. It makes our characters feel real unlike last season where they felt like caricatures. Even the dialogue is snappier! I am interested in the fact that the show has really not shown us much Gar and Rachel bonding time and I wonder if that's cause they're shelving the romance due to the age difference (which we literally all had a problem with last year) but then again he's still the one who can pull her out of her darkness so maybe they're just turning it from boiling over to subtle which I approve of. I also completely get Jason's irritation with Dick cause it definitely feels like now that the old Titans are back, the new ones aren't needed anymore and I really want to know what happened in the past! I'm not usually a big fan of the reluctant hero trope so the older Titans being so against coming to Titans Tower was the only part of the episode I didn't like. It's strange cause as much as I like them, I also low key want them to leave. Our team is big enough already with the trio, Dick and Kory plus we know Connor is on his way. I also definitely liked the Kory stuff we got and at first glance it seems that this version of Starfire's backstory is different than the normal but as I thought about it more, the original might still be true. All we know is that Kory asked if her parents called her home to be queen but the guard said it was Blackfire and that if she doesn't take her crown that many will suffer making me think that maybe this is a Blackfire plot. It does feel a little out of character though to have Kory not care at all about the fate of her people which makes me wonder why they didn't go with the normal story of having Kory be exiled.

Next week's episode has a screenshot of Aqualad which I'm pretty excited for! I do know that this show's Aqualad is Garth and not Kaldur which is interesting and I'm going to assume that he'll be more of a one-off despite how much I love him and an old Titan rather than a new one just based on age and the fact that he's not on the season poster.

FINISHED Fruits Basket (2019) Season 1 Episode 25

Okay this was a finale!!! I was sobbing and sobbing like a baby once again at the top of the episode cause I always find emotional family moments make me cry the most and Kyo and Kazuma are just the absolute sweetest! Kazuma is an angel for taking in Kyo when he had nobody and they loved each other with their whole hearts but both were afraid to admit it cause Kazuma thought he was being selfish cause Kyo had a biological father that was still alive while Kyo thought that he was too much of a burden to foist onto Kazuma when Kazuma was already taking care of him. I loved being able to hear each of their thoughts about each other and I was so afraid that both would continue hiding their feelings but thankfully they were able to admit the truth and my heart grew three sizes! I always assumed that Kyo's true form must be an open secret to the zodiacs but Yuki was obviously shocked so I wonder if it's only the younger generation that don't know (so like Hatori and Ayame know) or if no one but Akito, Shigure and Kagura know (Shigure cause he's always with Akito and Kagura on accident.) Yuki and Kagura's responses to what happened were interesting cause while Kagura's was understandable, I really couldn't tell what was up with Yuki. Kagura might have simply been jealous cause no matter how many times she said she didn't care about Kyo's true form, he only seemed to believe Tohru so in her eyes it must be obvious how much he loves Tohru. Yuki's reaction however was strange. He mentioned needing to keep it a secret otherwise his anger and hatred would boil over and I'm like why would you be angry with Kyo? We also met another zodiac I'm pretty sure though it was just a quick shot and this one was one I didn't know from the 2001 anime. She mentioned something about needing to break a curse and that Shigure was the one to do it. I wonder if the way to break the Sohma curse is through love of some kind though if it's love, then Hatori and Kana should have broken it so maybe it requires a zodiac to love the "God" of the zodiac?

Overall I really really loved this season of Fruits Basket and I already can't wait until the next! We did kinda get a release date for season 2 but only so far as to say that it'll be coming out in 2020. In my heart of hearts I'd like to hope that it'll be Winter of 2020 so we don't have to wait too long but I have a feeling it might end up being Summer of 2020 based on how much our characters talked about summer in this finale which ugh!

Astra Lost In Space Episode 11

Well shit this episode went a lot darker than I expected it to! I mean it's one thing to say that the whole point of this show is to kill the kids but it was another to watch Kanata actually lose his arm! This was the penultimate episode with the finale airing next week and I suppose it has pretty much wrapped everything up even though part of me thinks that one episode to solve everything back on Astra seems to be a little too hopeful. Maybe it'll be another hour long special like the premiere was? Every week when we learn about the background of our characters I'm constantly like okay so this one grew up the worst but I think truly Charce might have been the saddest. It's one thing to be ignored or hated but it's a whole other realm of horribleness to actually raise a child to know that he's nothing but a vessel meant to die in the end. I mean what kind of mental torture must they have inflicted for him to have no personal thoughts of his own and to want to die! We also finally figured out what Aries's deal was and it was simply that she was Seira's clone which just feels so weird to me cause why single her out in the opening song and everything if all our characters were clones? It also doesn't sit well with me cause I really feel like Charce and Aries should have spent more time together if Charce really did see her as his second chance at being something more than an empty vessel though that might be me shipping again. On second thought maybe not so much cause biologically Charce is Aries's dad. But like I said the biggest shock was that Kanata lost his arm and I assume that there must be a way to either grow it back or fit a cool prosthetic but it just felt so crazy to watch an anime where they pulled no punches! I gasped out loud when we saw his arm just randomly floating in space!

Titans Season 2 Episode 2

This episode was a ton of fun and man oh man was it leagues more interesting, better paced and better written than most of season 1! I had a feeling I was going to love this show once it settled and though there still are some kinks in the show, overall I'm feeling more positive about it. I do admit that I don't entirely understand why this show feels the need to constantly introduce new characters when we have plenty to play with but I guess that's just a part of being a DCTV show (looking at you Young Justice!) I was really glad we slowed things down in the Tower so that our kids could just have time to interact with each other cause all last season we were go go go and cause we barely saw them talk to each other it was hard to believe what the show was trying to sell us about them being a family. I love that Jason and Gar aren't the best of friends but Gar's such a sweetheart that he's trying and that he and Rachel are still really close. Dick telling Jason that the others look up to him as a way to get him to stop wanting to leave was hilarious too. We also met Slade's daughter Rose though from what I remember about her, she's a villain called Ravager and it's actually Slade's son Joey who becomes a hero so that makes me wonder if she'll end up being a spy in the Titans in the place of Terra or if the show will change it up and make her be a hero. I also have a feeling that the Titans ended up being the reason for one of Slade's sons dying whether that's Grant or Joey which is why he hates them so much. I love the way the show has split up our characters with Dick taking care of the kids, Kory and Donna working together and Dawn and Hank trying to quit the life cause it allows us to see our characters and give them something to do. I do think it's a bit too early to throw Kory's backstory into the mix cause seriously this show needs to stop throwing a hundred storylines at us each season but at the same time I got so excited when that random Tamaranian appeared. I wonder if the show will use Kory's comic backstory or mix it up.

Fruits Basket (2019) Season 1 Episode 24

Well I'm sobbing like a damn baby as I write this review. I was able to control my feelings for most of the episode until the closing song started playing and then suddenly it was nothing but tears! I really didn't expect the whole of Kyo's true form arc to happen in one episode cause this really would have been a beautiful end to the season. I have to be honest cause in my heart of hearts I never truly understood what kind of response Kyo wanted when others were confronted with his true form. Like part of me understands that because his mom pretended like nothing was wrong that he doesn't trust the words of others. She was actually terrified and horrified by it which is why she locked him up and made sure that he always wore his rosary but like at the same time you would think that someone like Kagura who knows his true form but stays around anyway would be what he wanted. I can't imagine that Tohru saying that she was scared but wants him in her life was so different than what he faced with the other zodiacs but it must be cause Tohru saying it was probably the only time that something snapped in him and made him want to start healing. Is it as simple as the fact that he is in love with her though he doesn't know it yet? Having said all that, it was still heartbreaking to see that all his bluster and intensity was hiding such a broken soul. All he wanted was to die but he didn't want to actually do it himself. It was even worse seeing all the Sohmas whisper about how he got his mother killed and ugh when Akito called him disgusting I wanted to punch the man! I do hope that during the rest of the season that he is able to truly come to terms with his true form and I really want to see how the other zodiacs feel about it cause if the show wants us to believe that Tohru is different, we need to see that the others aren't so accepting as well.

The finale for season 1 is airing next week and I'm already itching for season 2! I wish we knew when it was coming out and how many episodes it was cause you know your girl is going to be counting down the days! I've only seen the 2001 anime so after this everything will be brand new for me!

Astra Lost In Space Episode 10

Honestly I'm a little surprised that the traitor was Charce all along cause I had such a strong feeling that it was Aries though I debated whether it was under some sort of mind control where she didn't know what she was doing or out of her own free will. Her circumstances were just so different than the others that it was sketchy to me! It wasn't until the very end where Kanata talked to Charce and Zack about Ulgar being the traitor that I was like ah it's Charce after all cause I definitely didn't think it was Zack or Ulgar and I had a feeling that Charce being the exchange student meant something more than he talked about. Unfortunately we didn't get to find out what his reasoning was this episode but I have a feeling that it relates back to Seira again who I'm still thinking is connected to Aires somehow. Maybe he was told that if you do this then we'll save her life or something. I was also confused about what Kanata and Aires talked about the night before they landed on their final planet but I think it was just him asking her who was the last one into the sphere to figure out who the traitor was. I still low key ship Aires with Charce though but I think that ship has sailed long ago but now more so with Kanata seemingly realizing that he likes Aires too. On another note we also learned more about the whole Earth v Astra mystery. I want to give a shoutout to the show's amazing writing and how we went full circle with the ice planet that the kids first landed at being Earth! It's so crazy that all the people of Earth were transported to Astra but I have a feeling that the reason for the whole World War III story is that they were only able to transport half of the Earth's population and they needed a reason to pretend. Beyond that it seems crazy that every single adult in this world has kept quiet on the truth cause like Zack said, it's only been like 7 years or so since they immigrated so the majority of the public would still remember. It's also possible that the timing is wrong in general and like the general public was placed in stasis while a few built up Astra and then released onto Astra pretending like no time had passed.

Titans Season 2 Episode 1

I didn't want to particularly judge this episode cause I had a feeling that this season would be totally rebooted based on what worked and what didn't from last season and from Doom Patrol but in order for that reboot to take place, we needed to wrap up last season. This of course led to me not really particularly caring about what was happening for most of this episode and also being annoyed with the writing and the pacing. I'll never not be bitter than one of the biggest villains of Teen Titans was used in the first season and ended up being nowhere near as powerful or scary and defeated way too fast. I mean of course it had to be Rachel who beat Trigon cause she's the key to his destruction and formation but it just felt so meh. I don't want to harp on this too much though cause like I said soft reboot. I'm already thrilled that Gar turned into a snake so here's hoping that they can keep making him shift into more than just a tiger and I was glad we finally cast a Bruce cause it gets annoying to constantly work around him. He's not exactly what I picture as a Bruce or a Batman but I'm open to see what happens. I also for some reason never realized that there was a Titans team already which got disbanded only to be resurrected now with our new heroes but I love the idea especially with having Slade see their return on the news and have his hatred resurrected. I'm already ten times more interested in him than Trigon last season so that's a plus. I kind of hope that he'll be a recurring rather than a season long villain cause duh you can't do Titans without the Judas Contract but I will literally murder someone if we try it this season! Stop blowing your load before we're ready show! Also is anyone else low key disappointed that Titans Tower isn't in the shape of a T?

Next week's episode is called Rose which means Rose Wilson will be appearing but really more than that I hope we're able to slow down a bit and stop throwing new characters into the mix when we don't even entirely know our cast yet! I'm still complaining about that and we're on season 2!

Fruits Basket (2019) Season 1 Episode 23

Can you hear my shrieking through the computer screen? Not only is Kyo my favorite Sohma member, Kyo's true form arc was the meatiest part of the 2001 version so I've been waiting and waiting to see how this version plays it! It's really interesting to watch this first season and see how much of it was Yuki-centric and how much time Tohru spent with him when we barely see Kyo on screen or hanging out with Tohru and it makes me wonder if that was because the second season will be focused on Kyo or if this true form arc will be most of the Kyo time we need? I enjoyed this episode of course but it was more of a setup to the heart break that will come. I was trying to remember if it rained at all this season cause I don't remember the whole sluggish Kyo thing happen other than in the 2001 episode. Despite that I really enjoyed that Kyo finally got to show his sweeter side by making porridge and comforting Tohru when she was upset about failing her exam and getting sick. He's such a tsundere with his warm heart that he tries to hide underneath all this acting like he couldn't care less though of course everyone in his life can see through it. I'm curious to know more about how Kagura reacted when she saw Kyo's true form cause I have a feeling that she didn't react in a positive manner otherwise Kyo wouldn't have distanced himself but part of me still really dislikes her so I'm like ugh not again. We also got a glimpse of Kyo's martial arts master who is a Sohma but if I remember correctly isn't a zodiac member. Also we returned to whatever that hat is and while I thought we figured out weeks ago that it was a Yuki thing, I wonder if it's a both thing cause the show went out it's way to hide it from Kyo and if he had no relation with it, why bother?

Like I said next week should continue Kyo's true form arc so who else is pumped???

FINISHED Poldark Season 5 Episode 7 and 8

Wow for some reason Poldark decided to air it's penultimate and finale back to back so let's jump in and talk about not only the end of the season but the series in general! I have to admit I'm more saddened by the loss of this show than I thought I would be. I've always been on the fence about whether or not I enjoy this show cause I've always felt like unlike many period dramas, this one tended to showcase our main couple falling in and out of love which is honestly just sad to watch but looking back over the past five seasons it makes sense cause love is ever changing and it's not as easy as tv and movies make it out to be. It requires work and sacrifice and was there ever a couple that embedded this more than Ross and Demelza? The finale was hard to watch cause Ross continued to lie to Demelza about his working with the French and she thought he fell in love with Tess which was the worst person for Ross to pick after everything she did this season but the 180 turn after Demelza figured out the truth and saved Ross's ass was perfection. You could see the fear in his eyes when Demelza showed up at the house and the sheer relief later when she forgave him for everything. It was especially lovely seeing that George stepped up and actually helped cause despite everything, he's not the monster that the other two were and you could see it in his eyes every time one of them planned another murder. I still low key wish that he had given Trenwith back to Geoffrey Charles as it should have been his in the first place as the eldest son since George isn't planning on ever coming back since it is haunted by Elizabeth but that might be asking too much from George's heart. Caroline and Dwight also solved their problems and I'm so glad that Caroline explained her sudden bout of jealously about Kitty as a means for her to keep him at arms length cause I've been saying for weeks that he doesn't seem to be treating Kitty any special way and it was strange of Caroline to fear it but I'd like to imagine now that they've fixed their problems that they'll have a child too that can play with Ross and Demelza's newest! I will miss this insane show and the wonderful chemistry between Aidan and Eleanor and I can't wait to see what else they work in!

FINISHED Young Justice Season 3 Episode 24, 25 and 26

I really should pay attention to airdates cause, like Poldark, I had no idea that the final three episodes of season 3 were airing back to back this week but I'm not complaining cause more tv is great for me! Anyway let's dive in and talk about how season 3 ended! Let's start with the elephant in the room that was Wally West. Guys I cried and cried and cried thinking that this really was the end of Wally and Artemis cause like Artemis I believed that she had entered Limbo and met the spirit of Wally which is why I was heartbroken at the idea that he would never return! But in the end it turned out that M'gann and Zatana faked the whole thing so instead of giving me closure like the episode wanted, I'm still holding out hope but I'm also so so relieved that Artemis and Will didn't get together. Like I don't mind Artemis moving on (and hoping that as soon as she does Wally comes back so all the drama ensues) but Will is her brother-in-law and that's creepy! I loved the way Cyborg and Halo kicked ass and defeated Granny and it's kind of hilarious cause last week I really thought that it would be harder for our heroes to defeat Anti-Life but I totally forgot that Cyborg is a father-box so of course he'd be OP! As I also suspected we didn't get to Darkseid cause we focused back on Earth problems and the Light though as always, the heroes got a small win while behind-the-scenes, the Light won out in my opinion. I was stunned beyond measure when Brion suddenly went power-mad and was assuming that his advisor would be a Martian or some sort of telepath controlling Brion and the people but was confused as to why M'gann couldn't pick it up. I was right about the whole telepathy thing and I'm assuming M'gann didn't figure it out so we could get to this point. Lex was also ousted from the UN and the League, Batman Inc, Young Justice and the Outsiders are recombining under the authority of Black Lightning which isn't the biggest win but feels like a win to me. I'm assuming that Nightwing will lead Young Justice and Superboy will lead the Outsiders (still wishing it was called Teen Titans!) but part of me just dislikes this version of Black Lightning with his holier than thou attitude so I'm not thrilled he's in charge but I'll get over it.

As we know from SDCC 2019, there will be a season 4 for Young Justice though we don't know anything about when or what it'll be about. Maybe we'll finally battle Darkseid? I assume we'll also have to deal with the Brion stuff but overall I'm just hoping that the next season will be much more simplified in terms of story. Though it all came together at the end, I felt like this season just had too many storylines to juggle and with the way it aired, I kept finding myself feeling like I was forgetting something so hopefully next season does better! It also doesn't help that there's a million characters now so I hope the show does better with balancing screen time for them.

Astra Lost In Space Episode 9

Well shit. That's all I could think of as this episode came to a close! We learned so much and so many reveals took place that my mind is straight up blown! Let's start at the top and work our way through. We finally figured out what the reasoning behind sending our whole crew to their deaths was and it was the fact that everyone on board was a clone of their so-called parents which is totally and completely insane! I said last week that the clues were all there but I couldn't figure out how they fit together and now that the cloning thing has been explained, suddenly everything is crystal clear. It explains why every person on this ship had a terrible relationship with their parents and why none of those parents were upset to lose their kid in space. The only thing this reveal didn't do was explain Aries who is still the outlier in the group cause her mom was the only parent to love her and the whole Seira thing. I wonder if maybe she was actually a clone of Seira who was given up for adoption without her adoptive mom knowing the truth and that it was a situation where she was created to give organs to a sick Seira. We never did get a proper timeline when Charce was explaining his backstory. It's possible Seira was always sick or that she fell when she was younger so it would give Aries time to grow up or that Seira was older than Charce making Aries and Charce the same age. On the other hand maybe Aries is still Seira with amnesia and replaced memories due to Zack's father as a beta test of a sort with or without the clone part. We also saw Quitterie and Zack announce their marriage to the crew and it was definitely a lighthearted moment we needed in between two major announcements and I loved how the whole crew was just as stunned as we all were to find out that Zack was in love with Quitterie this whole time. The other huge shock was the reveal that Polina is actually from Earth but our whole crew is from a planet called Astra. I knew there had to be more to Polina and what happened to her but she was only in ice for 12 years so maybe there just were two planets with humans on them cause otherwise 12 years is too short of a time to move everyone on Earth over to Astra or to make the people of Astra forget that their planet used to be called Earth before some big world changing event.

Fruits Basket (2019) Season 1 Episode 22

Surprisingly we got another episode for Hana this week that explained more of her backstory and though I know I said last week that the episode felt like filler and I didn't like Uo's backstory, I actually ended up really enjoying Hana's. I think it had to do with the fact that it was just so heartbreaking and sad! I mean poor Hana not only had to fight with being unable to control her wave power but she also got bullied practically her entire life. Children are honestly the worst and it was so hard to watch Hana think that she killed someone and that she needed to be punished for the rest of her life because of it! It was a much darker reason than I expected for why Hana wore black all the time and honestly it makes me appreciate her even more. I was also surprised to find out that her wave power was like legit mind reading rather than more of a comedic thing like in the 2001 anime. It was also the first time we met Hana's parents and I have to say, her whole family was honestly so sweet. They clearly love her so much despite everything and I don't know why but I totally expected her parents to dislike her and her powers but maybe that's just cause she reminds me of the Sohmas and all of their parents hate them so I just kind of expected it from Hana's too. Megumi is such a sweetheart too and it was so sweet of him to wear black all the time just to support Hana too. Tohru was once again basically an angel that appeared out of nowhere to show others that the world isn't as dark as it seems and it just makes her relationship with Yuki and Kyo all the more important cause where she has been a guiding light for others, they are one for her. 

Honestly I don't even know what we'll get next week cause I expected Kyo's true form arc to start now but maybe it'll start next week? All I know is that we've only got 3 episodes remaining this season and I also don't know when the next season comes out!

What Shows Am I Watching This Week?

FINISHED Deadly Class Season 1

This was a really unique show to watch that kept me glued to the edge of my seat pretty much the whole time but it was really hard to review since this show was actually cancelled after one season so we're left unsatisfied with what we watched. I originally started this show cause I saw gifs of Lana Condor on Tumblr and I was curious what show she was in after loving her in To All The Boys I've Loved Before but ironically it was Maria's character that I fell in love with instead. The idea for this show was so damn unique cause like how many other shows are about murders and teaching kids to kill? I loved the whole school setting but I low key wish we had more classes and missions though I was satisfied with the amount of kills. The only downside was that Willie as interesting as he was at first being a closet-pacifist at an assassin school ended up being such a wet blanket and I got so tired of listening to him talk about how he was better than the others cause he refused to kill. Despite that I loved all the other characters and the little family they built. Marcus was a fantastic lead cause he was the perfect amount of sociopath but also kind and I totally shipped him with Maria even though it was pretty obvious that if this show had gone on, Saya would have been his endgame cause he honestly just treated her better. Maria felt like someone he was with cause he needed love in his life and he really didn't care about her or her troubles especially in the penultimate episode where he chose to be with Saya over her. If anyone understood the guilt Maria felt about killing Chico, a man who she loved with all her heart at one point in her life, it would have been Marcus cause of what he went through after he killed someone for the first time so it just sucked that he seemed to just generally be annoyed by her. Chester was low key the worst antagonist cause he just straight freaked me out tbh but it all worked out cause there was Gao who was both understandable and totally savage.

Like I mentioned up top, this show got cancelled after one season which sucks cause the cast was diverse, the story was unique and I was super fascinated by everything but apparently no one watched this show so Syfy said no to another season.

Poldark Season 5 Episode 6

On today's episode of Ross Is An Idiot, fortunately he was stopped from breaking Ned out of jail before he did true damage to his family and his reputation. Look I've never been a fan of Ned and I've made it just as clear as Dwight has but regardless of that, his whole circumstance was horrible and another instance of when the rich win out. Thankfully he was just hanged and not all that other horrible stuff. It's also low key ridiculous the public isn't up in arms cause a man who literally shot at the King was sent to a mental facility while Ned who apparently talked about a revolt was hanged. I'm also low key hoping that we just don't go back to London cause the politics in the city are too evil for my taste and make me long for the days of Poldark where mining was the biggest concern. Also shoutout to Dwight who actually got up on the stand and called Ned insane. Live your best life Dwight! George also got his this week when he not only had to reap the effects of taking the side of slavery in Parliament but also when he tried to marry Cecily only to have her tell him that she slept with Geoffrey Charles making her "spoiled goods." For half a second I wondered if he'd be like I don't care cause I already have an heir in Valentine so what good is another one but I think he was pretty against marrying someone who wasn't Elizabeth anyway so the smallest hiccup was a perfect excuse. Despite everything that I hate about George, his undying love for Elizabeth is just so sweet. I'm not sure how Geoffrey Charles and Cecily can have a happy ending unless her father dies but I can't entirely see the show doing that. Back in Cornwall, we find out that someone has been stealing from the mines and it turns out to be the same people who have consistently been a thorn in Demelza's side all season. I'm assuming that they're the ones who knock out Ross and throw him in that pit cause other than them, George and Cecily's father are out for blood but they don't seem to like to get their hands dirty in quite that way. Kidnapping someone feels like a commonfolk thing tbh.

Next week is the penultimate episode and it looks like shit will be hitting the fan. Ross is missing, George and co are pissed about something, Geoffrey Charles is beaten to an inch of his life, and Caroline is worried that George might be into Kitty. It also looks like the same people who captured Ross might target Demelza and Sam and Drake too and honestly I can't wait!

Young Justice Season 3 Episode 23

Wow talk about a throwback. Dick's fever dream brought back the version of Young Justice that was my favorite and Wally was there which makes it even better. I think it's honestly so sweet how much Wally and Dick loved each other and I will never lose heart in my hope that Wally will be back at some point cause this show has literally played with every comic trope except for the multiverse and the speed force so eventually when it needs something new, I believe in Wally's return! It's also super crazy cause Granny has literally an all powerful mind control device that I can't see any flaws in right now. She's enslaved a large portion of the League as well as a lot of the others heroes so now the only ones left are the Outsiders and some of the League back on Earth. I feel like the only way to stop all this will be to take the mind control thing off of Violet but Granny keeps her so close that I don't know if there will be any chance of separating the two when even a psychic blast from M'gann didn't help. I did find it funny though that Vandal Savage was the one to give intel cause like I guessed last week, he's obviously not thrilled about Darkseid getting a mind control device and at the very least in the next few episodes, we won't have to worry about the Light's politics cause they'll obviously want the League and the heroes to help. I assume that since this is the case, Granny will end up being our final boss rather than Darkseid or the Light who will probs have to be saved for later. We also got a little more of Jefferson pouting around Earth being sad about all the lies he had to deal with and I was like way over it. Build a bridge and get over it already. The show claims that Gar is still upset too but we didn't see it and he texted M'gann back so my headcanon is that he's pretty much over it cause he can see the bigger picture.

Astra Lost In Space Episode 8

What a great episode! We're still learning all sorts of new things every week and I'm consistently impressed with how into this anime I still am cause most of the time shows end up starting good and then I get bored but I've been into this show from start to finish. In fact it was some of the earlier episodes that I was kinda meh about before I fell in love! The woman we saved last week is actually an adult not a teen like I first thought and she's definitely for sure hiding something as well. She seemed shocked that 12 years had passed without something happening and I'm assuming that something was related to the end of the world cause why else send out a research team looking for new inhabitable planets? I'm still trying to connect why these kids had to suffer but like the more we learn about their parents, the more I just feel so bad for them! Zack's father is researching memory replacement and he clearly hates Zack but like is that better or worse than a parent like Yunha's who emotionally abuses her? We also learned that Funicia is a clone of Quitterie and I can't remember what Quitterie's mom does besides the fact that she's a doctor and works with Zack's dad. If Quitterie's mom can clone people and Zack's dad can replace memories, what kind of crazy schemes can they come up with? We also know Luca's dad is into genetics and I feel like the pieces are all there but I just can't put them together! On a more lighthearted note, I was dying when Quitterie confessed that she wants to marry Zack and he was like well yeah we promised when we were kids and she was like dude we were kids. Zack's not the most expressive but I do have to admit it was super sweet that he told her he loved her. I'm also still waiting to learn more about Aires cause we know something's not right with her and next week is the last planet we need to visit so things need to start coming together!

Fruits Basket (2019) Season 1 Episode 21

As I thought it was Hana's episode this week and unfortunately it felt just as much like a filler episode that the 2001 version was making this review kind of hard cause I was pretty much meh through the whole thing and feeling meh about an episode doesn't exactly lead to a good discussion. Yuki's fanclub is just too much for me to handle tbh but it was kind of hilarious seeing Hana and Megumi scare them. It's interesting that they're so upset about Tohru taking up all of Yuki's attention but like the ironic thing is that she talks to him like a human being rather than watching him from afar so of course he's kind to her. He even talks to Hana and Uo and like again cause they treat him like a person and the saddest thing is that if they had given Yuki even the slightest kindness, he would have remembered it being as affection-starved as he was. I also really liked that this episode touched on Hana's jealously and insecurity over Tohru being so close to the Sohmas cause it's true that Tohru's been spending all her time with them but the thing is that Tohru would never make Hana feel sad if she knew it and if Hana told Tohru that she sometimes feels neglected, Tohru would definitely try to change that! It was an interesting fear cause everyone feels like that in their lives, thinking that they care for someone more than that person does whether it's romantic or platonic. On another note, I'm going to die if Kyo is relegated to side character for another episode! It feels like we spent so much time with Tohru and Yuki that he's been pushed to the side and that sucks cause he's my favorite Sohma!

I'm not sure what next week's episode will be but I'm assuming that it'll be the start of Kyo's true form arc cause I think he said something about being happy in the 2001 version during the rain at the start of that arc. We've got 4 episodes left of season 1!

What Shows Am I Watching This Week?

Hello everyone and welcome back! Let's dive right in shall we?

Poldark Season 5 Episode 5

Can we take a moment to talk about what a complete badass Caroline is? I feel like she doesn't get the shoutout or screen time she deserves but she is extremely cunning and intelligent and I loved how she was able to have those men sign saying that they found nothing in Ross's house so that they couldn't lie later and say they found that pamphlet in order to arrest Ross. I still don't know why she feels like Dwight is into Kitty but despite that I loved that she convinced him to return to Ross's side cause if she didn't, Ross would have been screwed. On another note at least Ross has FINALLY figured out that Ned is bomb waiting to explode and honestly it's about time cause Ross is smarter than this! Of course Ned is being charged for treason cause he's been running around shouting about how the King is mad and that his veto is insane so there's not going to be any scarcity in finding any witnesses. The new villain was weirdly revealed this week and since he's a new character, I'm not sure why we had to go through all that cloak-and-dagger before. Demelza also kicked ass back in Cornwall too even though I low-key wished that she would have gotten Tess arrested. The way she spoke at the tavern was incredible and I was screaming when she told them that forgery was a hanging offense. Take that Tess you asshole. She's literally just ornery for no reason like George back in season 1 who hated Ross for just being Ross before they did evil things to each other. Also Morwenna and Drake tried to kidnap Morwenna's child only to give up in the end and now I think they'll have a child of their own cause it feels like Morwenna saying that she's finally ready to love Drake is pretty much like I'm ready now.

UGH ROSS YOU MORON. I'm seriously ready for something horrible to happen to Ross next week cause I'm about to strangle him for continuously making terrible decisions. It's time to throw the towel in on Ned cause he's a lost case! On another note poor Geoffrey Charles looks like he was beaten and George is the damn worst cause after everything he's been through how could he begrudge another's love? Especially when he doesn't want to get married anyway??

Young Justice Season 3 Episode 22

This episode should have been called the truth comes out for the amount of secrets that were revealed in these 30 minutes!!! Between everyone finding out about the different teams being connected and Jace's evil plan, I was fascinated. Honestly it was about time everything came out cause we're nearing the end of this season and it's time to start wrapping things up. It was a little strange that Jefferson was the one to completely lose it about all the secrecy cause if anyone had the right to complain it should have been Gar but I actually really loved that pretty much everyone regardless of whether they agreed or not with what happened was like well what else is new cause it's Batman duh. I'm curious if Jefferson was accidentally brainwashed in the pit leading to his overreaction and it would explain why Dick was so destroyed by the pit while Jefferson was fine unless it was the fact that Dick was human. I don't love that this is what caused Tara to pick Slade over the heroes cause it's not like the secrecy affected her in any way unlike what Jace and Ultra Humanite did but then again she doesn't know that Slade is working with the Light so I get it. I was also low key confused about what Granny Goodness was doing but like in the end it's a new way to brainwash people and that's all we really need to know plus the fact that Vandal Savage isn't thrilled with this new method cause it puts us humans at a disadvantage. Maybe this season will end with the Light joining forces with the heroes to defeat Darkseid. I'm still high key waiting for Wally to come back and speaking of, Artemis wasn't around this week and I wonder if that's on purpose cause other than Halo and Brion, Tara was the closest to Artemis so if she was here, would Tara have hesitated more?

Astra Lost In Space Episode 7

This episode felt so different from others probs cause of the ending and it makes me even more curious to see what happens in this show. I wonder if this blonde woman we found is going to join our crew cause she's not in the main cast but I can't see them just leaving her here. I also wonder if maybe though this Astra ship isn't working either if they can maybe take parts and fix their own ship. What are the chances that the same parts broke in both ships? It's the only real way I can think of fixing the problem and getting us back to space cause there's no way that our story ends here when we haven't learned anything yet! We got Charce's backstory now and it feels like Aries is the only one left who hasn't really said what led her to all of this but I don't think it's a coincidence that Charce's friend Seira looks like Aries. Though in the flashbacks we didn't see what color hair she had, the length and look was very similar and in Charce's shadow-y photo the hair did look pink so that's throwing up some major red flags for me. What if Seira woke up a little while ago but lost her memory and her parents hating what happened to her changed her name to give her a new life? I low key want to go back and rewatch earlier episodes to see if I missed anything or if Charce ever acted kind of strange around Seira. 

FINISHED Krypton Season 2 Episode 10

What an epic finale! I loved almost everything that happened and only one story was a little strange. We finally defeated Dru Zod and I loved that his downfall was his inability to know what the people of Krypton needed. It's always been his fatal flaw cause Kryptonians aren't like him no matter what he believes and Superman isn't soft. I loved Seg's speech about how Dru was taking away the most important thing about Kryptonians which is their spirit and that Lyta was able to get all the Sagitari back and it was everything watching Dru trying to get the Sagitari to do what he wanted only to see that no one was listening to him. I also love the idea of him being put in the Black Mercy as a way to keep him sedated cause it's true that no prison could really hold him for long. I wondered if hed' stay there until Krypton explodes but I have a feeling at some point in a future season, our heroes might be like let's wake him up cause we need him to help us against *insert villain here* cause duh. I was right last week in saying that Adam was paralyzed after those rocks fell on him but the weird leg contraption is definitely not what I thought Val would come up with to fix him but part of me still thinks that we'll find a better method by next season. Lobo was back too and amazing as always and as I thought he's going to play a bigger role in next season where we will be hunting down Brainiac to get Jor El back. Speaking of, Nyssa's jump to Rann was the one thing I didn't love this season. Not only does it separate her from the cast (at least for the beginning of the next season I'm guessing) but I'm guessing her plan was to find Sardath, who built the Zeta tech, and ask him to help her get to Brainiac but it looks like Rann is in the middle of some sort of war so maybe the best plan is for her to return to Krypton quickly so that she can catch Seg and Lobo before they leave. It looks like Brainiac is trying to get to Earth and calling Jor his son which is weird.

Unfortunately as I finished writing this review, I just found out that Krypton was cancelled and that sucks so much cause I do think Krypton doesn't get nearly the amount of love it deserves since it's definitely one of the best written superhero shows on tv with hands down the best makeup department and I wish more people had checked it out but it looks like we'll be saying goodbye to this one.

Fruits Basket (2019) Season 1 Episode 20

It was Hiro's episode this week and man oh man do I adore him. He's a bit of a brat of course but can you blame him after everything that happened? He loves Kisa so much and all he ever wanted was to make her happy and even after everything and how jealous he gets around Tohru, he still attempted to spend time with them just so he could be with Kisa. I think the true blame lies with Akito who I literally cannot understand why everyone keeps forgiving him for all the things he's done. I feel like Akito for some reason wants every member of the zodiac to belong to him and him alone so when the zodiacs fall in love, he gets furious and attacks the person who took the attention away from him. It's especially horrible this time around cause Hiro and Kisa are like 11 or 12 so the fact that Hiro knew about his feelings and wanted to tell Akito about them only for Akito to attack poor Kisa was horrific. They're children and Akito who's supposed to be a grown adult couldn't stand that a 12 year old had a crush? Get a life Akito. I also understand why Hiro stayed away after what happened cause if even Hatori had no idea how to move on from what happened with Kana, how could we expect a child to do anything different? He thought he was protecting Kisa when if he had probably asked her, she wouldn't have wanted him to stay away at all no matter how much pain she was in. 

It feels like based on the title for next week that we'll be touching on Hana's backstory or at least have a Hana centric one. I think there's supposed to be 25 episodes in total and if Hana gets two episodes like Uo did, then we have three to deal with Kyo if we're following the 2001 timeline of events.

What Shows Am I Watching This Week?

Hello everyone and welcome back! Let's dive right in shall we?

FINISHED Dear White People Season 3

So I don't think I've ever actually mentioned that I watch this show on this blog but I do and I actually really actually adored this season as per usual and the topics it touched on. It did take me a second to remember where everyone was and what they went through last season but as soon as I did, I was on board. Every character was going through their own shit and I loved experiencing it. Sam was stuck both in a sense of her documentary and also in the way she looked at the world. I loved that we spent an entire season learning that yes sometimes it's okay to step away and take a break but it's also okay to return to where you were cause you'll have a new prospective. Gabe and Sam are still the cutest and I'm thrilled they're still together and though Gabe's story was a little less intense this season, I enjoyed seeing him struggle with losing the privilege he had and trying to find ways to work around it. Of course the whole Native American debacle was truly cringe-worthy to watch but the way he fixed the situation by actually giving it to a person of color who needed the money was a good way to make amends. Coco struggled with wanting to be an overachiever and it was super sucky that she ended up not getting the fellowship she wanted and though Troy's storyline wasn't the most interesting, I liked that he ended up making the magazine he wants in the end with the others. The most interesting part to me though was definitely what happened with Muffy and Moses cause it was heartbreaking to watch and so real. I loved the way it not only looked at sexual assault but also hero worship and how something like this doesn't just affect one person but a whole race and a campus community. Reggie breaks my heart every season and he did the same this time and really the boy just needs to go to a therapist cause everything he's been doing until now isn't working!

We don't know yet if this show will get a fourth season but I'm praying it does cause there's just so much story left to tell! Not only are we left on such a cliffhanger, this show is so relevant to today's culture! I hope next season we get to learn more about this Order and I have a feeling that Troy with Sam and Lionel will end up revealing some truths!

Poldark Season 5 Episode 4

I don't know what more Ned could do to get Ross off of his side. Literally everyone has told him that he's a terrible influence and a rebel at heart but Ross can't help but want to help anyway. If anything causes him ruin this season it will be Ned dragging him down. On what damn planet did Ned think that it was a good idea to get the commonfolk all riled up and march them down to George?? Though truth be told I have a feeling that it was the commonfolk that got Ned all riled up but either way Ross needs to step back. Demelza tells him every week to stop putting everyone and everything in front of them and their family and one of these damn days maybe he'll listen. Is it bad that I low key want some sort of fever or plague or something to hit Demelza so that Ross will be able to see that he needs to focus on her? Not like anything that could kill but just a cold would be great. The best moment though was when Ross reprimanded Tess for her creepy flirty looks at him and the way that she can't accept Demelza as her boss but even better was when Demelza herself fired her and it was about time cause she gave Tess so many chances and Tess was nothing but confrontational in return. George was also really heartbreaking this week cause he was just wracked with sadness over Elizabeth's death and I loved how Dwight was there for him for so much of it. Caroline's jealously was super strange though and I'm not sure what she was upset about cause obviously he didn't have a crush on Kitty and obviously he's not hiding from her or lying for fun when she knows well and good that he likes to keep his cases mostly confidential. I do wish that George would join our side for once but I think that he just hates Ross so much that he can't ever do that. On another note Geoffrey Charles and Cecily have decided to elope and I have a feeling that's not going to work out whatsoever.

Next week it looks like we're back in London or at least Ross and George are and something is happening though I don't know what. Ned it seems may be losing his mind and the anti-King and country rhetoric they're talking about really needs to be the straw that breaks the camel's back for Ross cause seriously man.

Young Justice Season 3 Episode 21

What a crazy fun episode with a lot of deep moral questions underneath. Karen and Mal had their baby but what I thought was a joke at first ended up actually happening with Karen transforming her daughter's into a meta. It brings up a lot of questions about designer babies and picking and choosing genes but I'm not going to talk about cause whew those are heavy topics. I just thought it was interesting that in a world such as this where lots of metas kids are being experimented on who wish that the powers could go away, Karen and Mal actually thought it was better to be a meta. Personally I'd definitely chose to be a meta than to not but that's me. I also like that we pretty much now know that Granny is from Apokolips and I'd like to imagine this gives us the advantage but I have a feeling she let them know on purpose and it's not like they've got real proof. I do hope that whatever brainwashing Dick and Jefferson went through isn't going to be a recurring thing cause I'd like to imagine that Violet's powers as a motherbox could fix anything Granny's Overlord did especially since Granny didn't know that Violet was one so her shock at Violet speaking the Old Gods' language was genuine. It's super strange though cause I would have figured with Dr Jace being sketch and working with Ultra Humanite who last I checked was part of the Light that all the others would have known. I low key need to make myself a chart to keep track of who's where and which villains are part of which faction cause Granny is on Darkseid's side and Darkseid is only allies with the Light so it's not like they need to share all their secrets. On that note I'm glad that Violet and Brion were able to reconnect not cause I care for their pairing but since Jace seemed to be trying to split them apart so anything that she doesn't want is good.

FINISHED The 100 Season 6 Episode 13

This was the finale for season 6 of this show and I really don't know what I just experienced. Most of the episode was great and I was totally on board for everything that happened but the ending was just so confusing that it blew my mind. As I expected Russell and co really messed up by going into space cause this was not their territory and I low key love how they went from fake benevolent rulers to who cares about anyone or anything except for us five. At the top of the season they could at least pretend like they cared about their people and now they were just like let them destroy each other down on Sanctum and let's get out of here. I really hope that though it wasn't shown that Russell ended up murdered too cause he was the last Prime left except for Priya who's mind drive somehow made it to Jordan who's totally been brainwashed by whatever the Prime worshippers did. I assume his plan is to bring Priya back to life but like in Jordan's mind what's the point cause he loved someone else not Priya unless the brainwashing changed it so that he can't tell a difference. It's also low key a terrible plan cause the one Nightbloods left are Clarke, Madi, Emori and Murphy and it's not like getting any of them will be easy. It was also low key terrible that Madi had to get her Flame wiped cause it feels like in Legend of Korra when Korra lost her connection to the previous avatars which sucks on it's own but it extra sucks cause the Flame code ended up somewhere else so the Evil Commander can live on. I do think it's a little too much of a retcon for me to enjoy cause it's not like Lexa had to fight with him. I also don't think Octavia is dead cause she's a fan favorite and she and Bellamy just reconciled so I don't want anything to ruin that. The anomaly has to be some kind of magic. 

Astra Lost In Space Episode 6

You know what? For once I could actually believe the show when they tell me that Charce might be the enemy after all. We're slowly moving through all our characters and the more we get to know the fewer are left for us to find as the villain and I'm even starting to wonder if maybe there's no villain after all. For all we know Aires cut the communication cause she wanted to spend time with people and make friends and it had nothing to do with needing to kill everyone. If there is a villain, I'd think it'd be a better plot twist for it to be someone who's nice or friendly instead of someone who is a loner like Ulgar. We got Ulgar and Luca's backstories this week and as it turns out both have similar stories in that their parents didn't love them just like Yunha and Luca was adopted like Funicia. As we learned Ulgar had a brother who was digging into Luca's father and ended up dead because of it and like if that wasn't a heartache in itself, it was awful watching Ulgar's father tell Ulgar that it should have been him. Luca on the other hand we learn is intersexual which means that he's got both male and female parts (since he identifies as male we're going to keep calling him as him) and because of that his father basically disowned him which explains his non-reaction last week when asked by press how he feels about losing his son. I'm still trying to figure out what the connection is between our cast and I would still guess it has to do with the parents more than the kids themselves but I can't put it together! In terms of Charce, if he is the bad guy, there was no way to plan for Aires's photographic memory but you would think that he would do the research and know which class none of the crew took if he needed one to talk about.

Krypton Season 2 Episode 9

There was a lot of fighting this week and a death that I'm heartbroken about but tbh if I had to pick one of the main characters to die it would have been Kem no matter how much I'm going to miss him cause I'd prefer Nyssa and Adam and Val to be alive! It was so bittersweet watching each and every one of our heroes try to be heroes and sacrifice themselves for others cause that's what heroes do with Nyssa volunteering to take Dru's ship and Kem manually detonating the bomb in the mines and Adam pushing Val to safety so the rocks landed on him. I'm low key worried that Adam might be paralyzed from the waist down but at the same time I feel like if he is, there's probs a fancy Kryptonian way to fix it cause I haven't seen any real disabilities on this planet. The moon was also destroyed and I feel like that might end up being a really bad thing cause don't the Kryptonians need that moon for minerals to power things? Like what if this moon getting destroyed leads to Krypton overusing it's remaining resources which leads to Krypton getting destroyed? I also still find it a little ridiculous how separate the cities of Krypton are cause you would think the moon is used for all of Krypton and not just Kandor so Dru being the dictator he is might rub the rules of say Argo City the wrong way! I still don't entirely know why we picked Kandor over Argo as our main city when in Superman canon the Els and Zods lived in Argo. Lyta spent the episode righting her wrongs and I'm excited to see her challenge Dru cause the Sagitari are still more loyal to their Primus than anyone else and Lyta's the Primus.

Next week is the finale and I'm excited to see if we end up defeating Dru or not. Doomsday was definitely killed in that explosion so he's lost another tool in his belt and with Lyta alive and well I'd be curious to know how many Sagitari switch sides. It also looks like Lobo will be back and that should be interesting cause he can definitely join Seg and Nyssa in hunting down Brainiac which I feel like will be the plot if we get a new season.

Fruits Basket (2019) Season 1 Episode 19

As I thought last week this episode was leagues better than the 2001 version of this story but honestly at this point I should stop saying that cause every episode of this show is better than the previous version. It's the fact that this version takes these deep topics and lets them play out alongside the more humorous moments while the original version tried to focus solely on the comedy aspect. Ritsu has never been a favorite of mine, in fact I thought of him as a nuisance before, but after watching this episode, my heart grew three sizes watching him. Ritsu is a precious angel that I adore and needs to be protected. I loved that Ritsu is a bit more on the transgender spectrum in this show than before cause now he's wearing women's clothes cause it makes him feel good when before he just wore them cause society allowed women to be more submissive so his constant apologizing and shyness could be overlooked. Not only does it really update Ritsu as a character but it really makes me connect to him more and I'd definitely love to follow him on his journey as we find out whether he chooses to continue dressing like a woman or if he'll choose to return to male clothing. I was also surprised to note that Ritsu is actually closer to our trio's age than Shigure's age like I thought before. I also loved that it was Mitsuru who was the heavily apologetic one this time around instead of Tohru cause I truly thought the 2001 Tohru was too passive and this one has many of the same flaws but she's more confident in herself and I love that. Her speech to Ritsu about how choosing to live shows the most bravery and that everyone needs to find their own reason to live was everything and I actually teared up when we saw Kyoko and baby Tohru cause it was the absolute sweetest moment. I also love that we basically set up a future couple between Mitsuru and Ritsu this week and they're super cute already.

I'm thinking that next week will be the Hiro episode which should be fun cause this show seems to have switched the order of Ritsu and Hiro. After that must be the Kyo true form arc but who knows cause we still have a few more Sohmas left to meet.

What Shows Am I Watching This Week?

Poldark Season 5 Episode 3

So much happened this week but it's honestly so relaxing to have our whole cast back in Cornwall. I honestly prefer the wide sweeping countryside to the packed quarters in London if I'm being truthful and not just cause I prefer the smaller problems that can be solved hands-on. It still drives me mad that the commonfolk always bite the hand that feeds them rather than the hand that's punishing them. I can't believe they blamed Ross and Demelza for first not allowing children into the mines when they know well and clear how dangerous it is and then blamed them again for George's mine collapsing. Like damn pick a side. They know that George and Ross don't get along so on what planet would Ross have any say in what happens at that mine? I still find it sad that in this world Elizabeth could pass Poldark lands and mine to George and that Geoffrey Charles has to suffer with whatever George can manage to pass on cause it seems strange that Poldark lands shouldn't pass to the eldest Poldark heir when their is on. Unless of course it does all belong to Geoffrey Charles and George is only holding it until Geoffrey Charles is of age. Cause like otherwise does Geoffrey Charles even have a trust fund? Is he dirt poor man with only a good aristocratic name? I'm on Dwight's side when he commented about Ned being a terrible influence on Ross and like I said last week though part of me wants George to stay mad so that he no longer can be a thorn in the side of Ross, part of me also hopes that Dwight can cure him and make George an ally rather than a foe. I was low key hoping and praying that Hanson would catch on to what's going on with George cause then he could just leave cause he's the worst.

Next week it looks like Ross will be attempting to buy George's mine for himself and though that's probably a good idea in the long term cause I think that mine is still doing better than Ross's is right now, it'll probably cost a fortune to buy and I don't think Ross has that money to spare. It also looks like Dwight will be attempting to help George but he somehow comes upon Ned making me think that George's mental condition will get out.

Young Justice Season 3 Episode 20

Honestly this felt like such a strange episode but the only reason for this was cause it was meant to be a quiet look at the lives of our characters outside of their crime fighting and though I didn't really feel a need to follow Harper who's a character I don't really care for, the rest was really interesting. I liked that we finally got around to Victor and his Father Box conundrum but even more hilarious was how easy it was to fix him. I don't know why I expected more tbh but even taking down Metron was fairly simple. I did love the awkward hop over to where Superman was fighting just so Connor could drop a bunch of weird things to Kal and then run away to Kal's confusion. I also thought it was sweet of Violet to go find Gabrielle's family to tell them what happened to Gabrielle but again I really thought that Violet running away would have been a longer storyline but it was super sweet how much Tara loves her. I kind of adore that Tara has found so much love with Gabrielle and Artemis and that it's them who will probably pull her away from Slade and not Garfield like in most other iterations cause I adore Garfield and Perdita and I didn't want Tara to get in the middle of that. The Kaldur stuff was the least impactful cause nothing really progressed with him other than how lucky that meta-teen girl was cause I would love to live in Atlantis! It was interesting to find out that Kaldur is dating Garth now cause not only is this new information that he's bi but it's also nice to pop in and see the personal lives of our core members again. Since they've been relegated to mentors and not the main team members like in season 1 and even season 2, we've only seen them in terms of leadership and missions. 20 episodes in and we finally just figured out why Orin stepped down as Aquaman (even if we all guessed this was probs why!)

The 100 Season 6 Episode 12

Wow Russell has hardcore lost his mind hasn't he? He's pretty much giving up on the whole Primes and ruling Sanctum and trying to be good now cause he's realized it's not going to work anymore so he's pretty much just focused on getting his family to safety though I really don't know what his longterm goal is. Russell and Simone are so screwed and they don't even know it. They've placed themselves up in space all alone thinking that three of them (two in fact) can win against the hundreds on the ship? And let's not pretend that Russell or Simone are anywhere as trained as Indra or any of the others but I suppose that's a problem for next week. It was totally insane that Abby was murdered this week and I can't believe it happened just a little after Kane was killed but I should have seen it coming after she made up with Raven and basically adopted her as a daughter too. It was probably even worse for Clarke who had to pretend like nothing was wrong while seeing that her mother was murdered. Murphy and Emori switched sides again and it's getting kind of ridiculous but with Russell exasperated with everything that's happening, they made it out alive. It was a little much for them to be so torn up about Abby dying though when they barely know Abby and in fact they're closer to Clarke but like not even Clarke dying got the tears Abby did! Also Gabriel is a moron and he had the perfect chance to kill Russell earlier but he hesitated like a coward and that's how we are where we are. 

The finale is next week and I'm hoping that Russell and Simone will be overpowered and have their mind drives destroyed. It would be great it they were killed too just to avoid any further problems but I suppose it'll depend on whether our crew is trying to be better or whatever. I also assume that back in Sanctum, the other Primes will have their mind drives destroyed too and then the rest of our crew from space can come down and live peacefully on the planet.

Astra Lost In Space Episode 5

This was the fanservice episode of the bunch and I figured that was the case as soon as we landed on a planet with a beach but I didn't mind it cause aside from the weirdness, since we had a planet with no problems, we were able to focus on other stuff like visiting the parents back on Earth and developing more personal relationships. Let's start with those back on Earth and how pretty much every parent except for Aires's mom seemed to be indifferent to the fact that their kids were missing. Normally in a situation like this were your kids are missing, parents would be emotional and desperate the way Aires's mom was instead of calm and rational like the rest were. It was totally obvious that they didn't care and it makes me wonder why. Is it possible that they all knew that their kids would be sacrificed? Was it planned and Aires was just a mistake? I feel like the kids should talk about their parents more cause it's definitely starting to feel like the reason these kids are up here isn't because of them but maybe their parents. Between them there's definitely a senator, a singer, two researchers and a vice principal and that's only a few. I also doubt that Ulgar is actually the traitor afterall cause I have a feeling that he just hates Luca's dad cause he seemed chill until Luca revealed who his dad was. It also just feels too early for the traitor to be revealed and on another note it Ulgar being the traitor just feels like low hanging fruit cause like oh wow the broody kid who doesn't want to make friends was the bad guy all along how original.

Krypton Season 2 Episode 8

OMG who called it episodes ago that there was no way that Lyta died??! I was totally fooled into believing that this show would kill off Seg's love interest cause they went so many episodes without a hint of her and now we find out that she's alive and that it was just a clone that was killed. I honestly have so many questions about this cause I didn't even know Krypton had cloning abilities but like they must and they must be fairly common since after Lyta explained it, no one questioned where a clone came from. Also I loved that it was a Black Mercy that was keeping Lyta trapped cause is it even a show about Kryptonians without one?? The most ironic thing was that it was Dru himself who ended up getting Lyta out cause his head science person did warn him that taking the Black Mercy toxin would ruin the effect the Black Mercy had on it's host and he was like whatever which allowed Lyta the chance she needed. Part of me is a little sad cause I was enjoying Seg and Nyssa as a team and now that Lyta is back the dynamic will change but Jor El is already born and named so there's no going back! It's gotten to the point where it feels like Nyssa and Lyta are sister-wives and really why not have a three-way poly relationship? I wish I understood the way this world viewed marriage and children better cause I know a binding is basically marriage but does the wife take the husband's name? Like if Lyta gets married to Seg will she be an El? Or does having a child through the bonding cortex mean that you're married? Like is Nyssa technically Seg's wife in the eyes of Krypton after Jor was born? 

Okay wow so maybe all my questions about Superman's lineage mean nothing now cause according to Adam, Kal-El doesn't exist anymore and honestly that makes sense cause Krypton has completely muddled up canon in order to tell it's own story. Dru has complete control over Doomsday and that's a nightmare of it's own tbh but he himself is only human so all they need is one clear shot and boom Dru is dead.

FINISHED Agents Of SHIELD Season 6 Episode 12 and Episode 13

What an insane season finale! I was worried that we had too much to deal with and not enough time especially when the Chronicoms returned cause I really thought they would be a season 7 problem and in a way they were. The writing was so incredibly well done that the season 6 to season 7 transition is going to be flawless and I'm already so excited for the final season of my favorite superhero show on tv. Once we found out that the sword Sarge had could kill Izel, things became much clearer because like I had said last week I had no idea how we would be able to win with Izel being so much stronger than our heroes. For a second I really thought that May had been killed and we were about to lose YoYo and Daisy's powers had no effect on Sarge but luckily May is a complete badass to the end and was able to kill Izel and Mack was able to take down Sarge. Of course the comedy was still on point cause I loved everything with Deke and Fitz and Simmons after they realized that Deke was stealing tech to build a company but it turned into a really sad moment when Deke revealed that he was lonely and isolated and hurt by everything that happened. I really believe if shit hadn't of hit the fan that this would be what would have gotten through to Fitz and I believe that it would have strengthened their relationship. I really wish I understood what was happening at the end of the episode but it looks like Jemma and Fitz have been time traveling of a sort and with Enoch's help they've become more high-tech and badass than before. We have our full team again now with a Monolith Flint and a Coulson LMD and I'm honestly super into this more than the idea that Sarge would have survived cause this is our Coulson who's mind is in this upgraded LMD. 

Next season should be the fight against the Chronicoms and I can't wait cause they'll definitely be a fantastic final villain with their high intelligence!

Fruits Basket (2019) Season 1 Episode 18

KISA! KISA! KISA! I've been waiting for this episode for what feels like forever and it's finally here! Kisa has been one of my favorite zodiacs since the first time I watched this show and she's still the most precious little angel. Kisa breaks my heart because I can't imagine being bullied the way she was and how much pain and torture she must have gone through. Of course if you're treated the way she was, you wouldn't want to talk anymore. It didn't help that Kisa's mom was one of the few that tried to reject their child though she clearly tried harder than Momiji's mom even before she was awoken by Tohru's sweetness. I'd like to imagine that she'd be much more accepting of her daughter now and with Kisa being able to stand strong and be brave enough not only to start speaking again but to return to school where all her bullies lay, Kisa would be able to love herself a little more and stand up for herself in the face of all those who oppose her. We also saw a bit more of young Yuki who went through a similar period of being unable to speak after everything that Akito put him through but like Kisa he's trying to be brave and do things that he would never like running for student council president. It's really interesting how the show is so heavily focused on Yuki this season when I feel like I don't remember the 2001 anime being so Yuki-centric but maybe that's cause they're saying the Kyo drama for next season? Either way it's a little sad cause Kyo's obviously my favorite and his reduced screen time is a little unfortunate.

I think we meet Ritsu next week and I remember hating that 2001 episode but this show has taken filler and made it more interesting so I'm keeping an open mind about when lesson Tohru might learn after seeing Ritsu and how his submissiveness actually harmed him.
