Bridgerton Season 2

Bridgerton Season 2 finally came this week and goodness I didn't realize how much I missed it until I started watching! As you all know I'm such a sucker for period dramas cause there's something so fun about the costumes and the dramatics and the fact that the romances are so much more intense than the modern day ones given that couples aren't really even supposed to kiss before they're married so the tension is so high! I went into this season pretty blind only really knowing that since this season would be following Anthony and his love story and that the actor who played Simon from season 1 was not coming back so I was curious to see how the show would write around that. Honestly I had a blast with this season which is interesting cause though I might have thought that Anthony and Kate had more chemistry than Daphne and Simon, I preferred the way the story was told in season 1. Like don't get me wrong I was all for the enemies to lovers thing this season tried to do but it was the love triangle that I despised especially since it was between two sisters! Beyond that though I loved everything else from the deep dive into Anthony's psyche to the way that Anthony and Kate were so similar as people all the way to Eloise discovering new parts of herself. Tbh I can't wait until we get to her love story season! I'm assuming that Benedict is next as he's the next oldest Bridgerton followed by Eloise and then Colin and I will be right here for it!

What Shows Did I Finish This Week?

The Irregular At Magic High School: Reminiscence Arc

Guys you don't know how excited I was to watch this movie this week cause I'm low key obsessed with this series and I was nowhere near fulfilled last season with that terrible spinoff of season 1 of Irregular. I am a little saddened by the fact that we're getting another flashback but at least this time it's new stuff! We finally got to see more of Miyuki and Tatsuya before they became close and it was fascinating. I'm always looking for more info on the Yotsuba and I still don't have enough! It kinda did explain Tatsuya's backstory a little in that he was born without magic so Maya and Miyuki's mom worked together to transfer her power to him and though it worked he still has less magic than most people and as a side effect both he and the mom lost all sense of emotion except for Tatsuya's love towards Miyuki. I did wonder for a bit if the show was going to tell us that Tatsuya isn't actually Miyuki's blood brother given the fact that Miyuki's mom didn't consider Tatsuya her son and Miyuki kept calling her my mom and not our mom but if that is the case we're still in the dark about it. Truly can't wait to see more!

The Witcher Season 2

This show finally came back with a season 2 almost 2 years after the first and I'm truly heartbroken over how short these 8 episodes felt! I love this world and the lore and the characters so much that I just want it to never end! Season 1 was all about introducing us to our main cast and having them slowly come together and apart and while season 2 had similar moments, the end brought us closer to seeing our cast finally find their places in this world. I spent so much of this season studying the politics of this world and wondering which side to root for cause to me rather than there being a clear good or bad guy, it felt like everyone was just a different shade of terrible. Like Nilfgaard is out here trying to rule the world no matter who dies, the Brotherhood despise elves and anyone who isn't human, the Northern kingdoms care only about saving their behinds and the elves hate humans so much that they will kill innocents to send a message. Like Geralt said last season, "Evil is evil. Greater, lesser, middling. It makes no difference" and because of that I have a feeling that rather than watching our heroes pick a side, they'll end up razing the world to the ground and building a new one. I do have to say that I was totally shocked to find out that Ciri's dad is the Emhyr and though I can totally understand why he would turn away from Calanthe who was truly the worst person despite how much she and Ciri loved one another, the reason for him trying to kill his own daughter and taking over the continent is a different beast entirely. I do wonder if this means that Cahir will join our side cause tbh I kinda liked him working with Yennefer earlier in the season despite how evil he was season 1. Speaking of Yennefer, I knew that she wouldn't actually harm Ciri cause then she would really be the antagonist but it also breaks my heart that Geralt and her are so fractured. I'd like to hope that they will find a way to heal in the end cause they are my ship! All in all this was a fantastic second season and I can't wait for the next even if we'll probs have to wait another year for it!

FINISHED Stargirl Season 2 Episode 13

This was a pretty solid finale cause I still say that like Superman & Lois the best part of this show are the characters and their relationship to each other so in the end I'm not all that interested in the villain of the season aka Eclipso. His big plan really was to possess Courtney so that he would have control over light and dark but Courtney was able to fight him off and then all the light-based heroes were able to turn into a piece of toast and tbh the whole thing was a little too easy which makes the whole struggle that the original JSA went through feel lame. We also set up the villain for next season who I thought looks a lot like Red Skull but a quick google search told me it was someone called Mister Bone and he knows that creepy nurse from Jennie's episode making me think that Jennie's whole thing isn't going to a set up for the Green Lantern show but something for this one. Other important things is that Rick wasn't able to fix his hourglass but I'm sure he'll figure it by next season, Yolanda returned to being Wildcat and Beth's parents found out she's a superhero while Cindy wants to join the JSA and Cameron is about to be told some sort of truth from his grandparents. I do think Yolanda's return is a bit out of nowhere but it feels a lot like the finale mostly hand-waved away a lot of things in order to be like this is what the show wants. Like Shade and Starman's resurrections or the Crocks now becoming neighbors with Courtney. At the end of the day I don't particularly mind cause I'm all about all of it!

Stargirl Season 2 Episode 12

As penultimate episodes go this one wasn't half bad! Apparently Eclipso's big plan is to use Courtney as his host which is a pretty solid idea given that she's one of the only ones who can defeat him though I don't entirely know where Jennie fits into the whole thing. Maybe she's a backup plan? He already convinced her to admit that she hates him last week and with Cindy egging Courtney on to embrace her darkness she might just. I mean honestly it's a bit of a contrived plot given that Courtney herself has been told over and over again that only light can defeat the dark so it's pretty clear not only will focusing on love and hope help but I'm sure it strengthens the Staff too. I do have to say though that it was a little heartbreaking having to watch Cindy watch Courtney be so happy given that she just lived through hell. I mean Courtney's got the best family and amazing friends and Cindy just has her anger. Meanwhile Jennie was poisoned by something and it seemed to be giving her visions which either Eclipso created or she's actually seeing a possible future in which Courtney embraces the dark and becomes Eclipso's host. I kinda hope it's the second cause I really would have thought that the Green Lantern Ring would be able to filter out this kind of energy otherwise.

Stargirl Season 2 Episode 11

So leaving the Shadowlands was a lot easier than I expected and though I actually really liked this episode on the whole, part of me feels like we didn't spend enough time delving into all the angst of what could have been with Courtney's Purgatory. Like imagine if we started the episode with that sad reunion scene at the house and then had a full episode with Courtney getting tortured by Eclipso and her demons only to start next week's episode with the family going to find Shade and Courtney finding her inner light only to run into Dr Midnite and Cindy and escaping. Having said all that since that's not what we got let's talk about what we did get. I liked that we brought Dr Midnite back though I'm not sure what role he will play going forward given that we have a baby JSA and no need for an adult but maybe he'll like wander off to find his wife or whatever family is left. I bet Rick and Jenny probs aren't thrilled that the one JSA member that survived wasn't their parent! Cindy's also back which I expected from the moment she was sucked into the Shadowlands but now maybe she'll be good? I'm still wondering where Artemis snuck off to. The other important thing is that Shade seems to have died which super sucks cause I liked him and I wonder if he's actually alive and actually just returned to the Shadows to heal. 

FINISHED Titans Season 3 Episode 13

Well this was a finale I suppose no matter how rushed it all felt. I will never not hate what they did to Jason but like I guess I've made my piece with it as I did with everything that went down with Bruce. I mean fine whatever I guess in this world Batman kills the Joker and moves on with his life? Jason also peaced out in order to find redemption while Tim took his place on the Titans as the new Robin and I can't wait to see his costume! The cast is for sure being mixed up like I thought with Blackfire and Donna leaving and I wonder if all the name drops of Roy Harper means that maybe we'll see him next season. Honestly though I'm surprised the show didn't seed anything for next season leaving me wondering if there even will be a season 4 and what it will be about. I mean we already hit all the big notes with Trigon, Blackfire, and Deathstroke in terms of Titans arcs so what's left? Terra? I mean there's no Deathstroke to be behind the wheel but you could always replace him with Cadmus or something and we know this show loves love triangles so Gar, Terra, and Rachel could be a thing too.

Hello everyone and welcome back! Let's dive right in shall we?

Pretty Smart Season 1

Okay so look I'm not always the hugest fan of sitcoms cause something about them just lacks stakes and I tend to find their humor is not for me or that the whole episodic nature of them prevents me from caring about the characters but I wanted to check this one out cause of Emily Osment and Gregg Sulkin who are two Disney actors that I've adored since I was younger. I even watched and enjoyed Emily's last sitcom Young & Hungry (even if the last season kinda fell apart for me) so I dived in not sure what I would find. The pilot was rough I have to admit cause it went really hard on the stereotypes that each character was embodying but as the season went on the characters all mellowed and started to feel like real people rather than caractures so I was definitely recommend at least waiting until episode 3 before you choose whether to drop it or not. Yes there were some episodes that were a bit boring given the nature of a sitcom but on the whole I really enjoyed every one of the wacky adventures our cast went on. I even fell in love with Chelsea and Grant and their chemistry though I did think their interest in each other started off a bit fast cause if these two already have feelings in season 1 then we're clearly in for the long haul in terms of the will they/won't they dating and breakup relationship carousel that sitcoms are known for. Having said that I totally called the cliffhanger of the season and I'm really left wondering if there will be more!

Stargirl Season 2 Episode 10

As much as hate the nonsense with Courtney and Mike mistrusting Barbara and Pat now for "their lies" this show still slays me every week with how good it is!! Shade showed up again and told our heroes that the only way to stop Eclipso is to fix the Black Diamond but he lied and actually said that in order to return his shade powers to him and instead fixing the Diamond brought Eclipso to them and Courtney was sucked into the Shadowland. I'm assuming that she's going to meet up with Cindy and the original Dr Midnite who are also there and then eventually they'll return. I also really liked seeing Jenny again though her whole side plot with her brother really feels like it could be a backdoor pilot cause I know Berlanti wants to make a Green Lantern show and what if this it that? Honestly I'm not that thrilled about it cause I wanted a show with more aliens and a focus on the Lantern Core instead of a singular Earthly Green Lantern cause god knows we have enough of the same old same old superhero stuff and I wanted something different! 

Titans Season 3 Episode 12

For some reason I went into this episode thinking it was supposed to be the finale so I was a bit surprised to find out that it's actually the penultimate and I'm still not sure what I'm supposed to be feeling or how. Dick was thrown into the Lazarus Pit and he's come back supposedly a new person or whatever and it literally just took him asking Jason to help him for Jason to be like yeah okay I'll be good again therefore I will never not be bitter at how this show ruined Jason though like the show I have a pretty short attention span so maybe by the time next season comes around I'll be like murderer who? Rachel is also continuously making me laugh with how she still feels like she's not back yet with how zen she is and uninterested in anything that's happening in Gotham. Like maybe it's the actress struggling to act next to Gar who's emoting his butt off but it's hilarious to see them be complete opposites in the same scene. Donna is also reminding me why I don't love this version of her with how she tries to force her opinions on others though Tim wanting to be Robin is so hamfisted that I'm just rolling my eyes. It also looks like Connor is becoming more like Lex with how he refused to listen to what Blackfire wanted and destroyed her ship in order to keep her with him though really why he thinks she'll forgive him for this is up in the air. I'm assuming that next week being the finale that obviously we'll defeat Crane and maybe the Titans will return to California though I'm not sure if any of the cast will be changing.

Stargirl Season 2 Episode 9

So the big secret that Barbara and Pat were keeping from Courtney is the fact that the JSA stopped Eclipso back in the day by killing the host and I'm sitting here like okay so it was as dumb of a secret as I expected it to be which is why I need Courtney to build a bridge and get over it. I mean what was she going to do if she knew this at the start of the season? Eclipso didn't have a host back then and I actually still don't know if he has one now (or is it Cindy?) so that advice is useless not to mention the fact that I don't see her stepping up to murder someone after she saw how killing Brainwave affected Yolanda. On the plus side we did see that Shade is somewhat okay though confused and I wanna shout out the fact that on this Earth Jay Garrick is also played by John Wesley Shipp cause it makes my heart smile whenever I see him play another Flash! Poor Mike was also tormented by Cameron and the fact that despite what he's said I think a part of him does feel guilty about accidentally killing Jordan though I also think this was definitely a preview for what's to come cause there's no way that Cameron lets his father's death go.

FINISHED What If Season 1 Episode 9

With this final episode What If has come to an end. I don't think anything could beat the horror that I felt watching Ultron rule the world last week but I had a fun time watching how our team of Avengers beat him. It ended up being all of the heroes we met over the past 7 episodes and a Gamora from a world we actually didn't experience. Zola did end up being the lynchpin to save the day though it was also heavily in part due to Dr Strange who caught Killmonger and Zola in a pocket dimension fighting to capture the Infinity Stones. I'm still left a little discombobulated in terms of the overall story cause we never really got answers as to who the Watcher was or why he couldn't interfere but I guess we're not meant to cause this was just supposed to be a quick pop into this world. Maybe next season we'll see him being punished for interfering? 

Titans Season 3 Episode 11

As penultimate episodes go this really wasn't a great one. I don't know why in the world this show is so adamant on separating the Titans all the time. If the showrunners/writers wanted to write a show for Nightwing that's what they should have done rather than pretend like they wanted to write an ensemble show about a team of heroes. Like don't get me wrong the Batfamily is for sure my favorite part of DC but I also have a soft spot for the Titans and Young Justice and the Justice League so I wanted a show like that! We never actually see the team be a team and I'm exhausted by it. Starfire found out that she never actually had fire powers and that they were stolen from Blackfire as a child so Tamaran didn't fall into a civil war. I wonder if this means that we'll get more comic accurate starbolts now? Dick was a dick and took out Connor and Krypto using Kryptonite in order to fight Jason but was shot by a civilian instead. Jason is still all over the place in terms of writing but I think him seeing Crane having lost his mind will probs have been the last straw. It also appears like Dick will be going into the Lazarus Pit that Gar and Rachel found given that he is practically dead at the end. I'm still kinda wondering where Bruce is after Donna found him trying to kill himself. She meanwhile has teamed up with Tim as they arm more civilians to fight the cops on Crane's payroll. 

FINISHED Leverage: Redemption Season 1B

Back in July when I originally watched the first half of this Leverage revival I think I knew that it was actually only going to be part 1 of 2 for this season but somewhere along the way I totally forgot that there was a second part coming so when I realized this week that it was airing, I cannot describe to you how excited I was! I absolutely adore this show and I was ready to jump back into the world it built. 1B was just as good as 1A which like I said in my previous review was just as good as the original Leverage. The Jackal Job actually made me cry and I always live for cases like the Hurricane Job and the Golf Job which separates some parts of the team from the rest so we can see them shine in new ways. I also had a soft spot for the Train Job cause like Parker and Sophie I adore trains and the romanticism of them and movies like Murder On The Orient Express! Mr Wilson was still working for me as the new Nate and though I still prefer Hardison over Breanna, I was used to her presence in this back half so she didn't bother me as much either. Having said all that I do have to say that the overarching season villain of RIZ did feel a bit like a James Bond type of villain trying to come up with this absurdly complicated take-over-the-world plan but I did like that they connected back to Mr Wilson who started off this whole Redemption arc at the top of the season through Ethan and I had fun watching the Leverage team take them down anyway. I really really really do hope that this show gets a season 2 and we get this same cast back again but if this was just a one and done type of revival I would be happy enough too given that I never thought that I would get a chance to see more of this world in the first place!!

Stargirl Season 2 Episode 8

Darkness is the name of the game and I really really really feel bad for poor Rick who started the episode thinking about colleges and now might be going to jail for assault! Like I don't know why exactly I thought that Eclipso would only target Beth and not both at the same time other than maybe a meta reason thinking that it would be better to spread out the mayhem over 3 episodes rather than 2 but he's for sure getting exactly what he wants. With Yolanda quitting and now Rick destroying the Hourglass, it's just Beth and Courtney now. I did like that Beth dug deep and found her courage rather than succumbing to her fears like Yolanda and Rick did though all the race commentary was a little heavy-handed of the show given how little it clearly wants to actually touch on race. In the end though her goggles might be the only thing able to see through Eclipso's visions making her a trump card. I'm also still waiting for the Green Lantern to come back! It does look like Mike and Barbara might be next on Eclipso's list though which kinda sucks.

What If Season 1 Episode 8

Good god guys this episode should have been named Anxiety for all that it made my heart palpitate the whole time! Ultron was so so so much scarier in this show than he ever was in the Age Of Ultron movie and I spent the whole time biting my nails worried out of my mind over Ultron's power even though I knew well and clear that I should be hyped cause his taking over the universe and the multiverse meant that we would see all the What If heroes we followed for the last 7 episodes come together to fight in a new Avengers lineup! Talk about good storytelling! The fact that he could see the Watcher was one thing cause so could Dr Strange but jumping into the Watcher's world was a whole other! I also can't help but wonder if the fact that he so easily defeated big dogs like Captain Marvel and Thanos and even the Watcher himself makes it a little unbelievable that Party Thor and Captain Carter can but then again we already have a built in way to win with Natasha and Zola next week!

Titans Season 3 Episode 10

Color me not at all surprised to find out that this show is making Jason turn bad all over again. If it couldn't have shit on him any more then here we are. After tricking the Titans into poisoning Gotham's water supply, Crane convinced the city it was the Titans who did it and made them fugitives. He also paid off the cops to kill them and I'm left here like maybe they should just wash their hands of Gotham's hot as mess. We end the episode with all of the Titans split up. Dick and Connor are together as are Starfire and Blackfire who speaking of ended up switching powers with one another somehow though I wouldn't be surprised if this show ends with both of them having half of Starfire's powers. Also important is that Donna is in Gotham now as is Raven who found Gar and I guess that is the most exciting thing about this show to see them all come together again. I do wonder what is up with everyone constantly talking about being more than a soldier cause not only did Blackfire give that talk to Starfire but Donna got one too. I know in some incarnations Starfire runs the Titans while Dick's off doing his Batfamily thing but if that's where this show wants to go then why Donna?

Stargirl Season 2 Episode 7

Okay so I seriously love that like the characters themself we the audience really can't tell if what's happening with Yolanda's headaches is Eclipso or Brainwave or Yolanda's guilt. Like it's been going on longer than Eclipso has been freed and I know a ton of people theorized that Brainwave really did put himself in Yolanda's brain but I think that if I had to make a guess I would say that it started out as Yolanda's guilt and now it's Eclipso expanding on that fear. It looks like he knows who to target one by one and it's clear that next is Beth. On that note it was interesting that Yolanda and Courtney finally told everyone what happened in the tunnels and it sucks that though Beth was the only one to not understand why Yolanda did what she did, one negative opinion was enough to convince Yolanda that she was a sinner. I hate that all this has just pushed Yolanda back into her terribly abusive family cause before this she was doing so well! She had friends and a job and was living her life! In other news I do have to say that maybe it's the Superman & Lois stan in me but I think my favorite part of this show might also be the family kicking ass part. I adored that final scene when the four were sitting around the dining table discussing JSA problems!

What If Season 1 Episode 7

In the midst of depressing episode after depressing episode it was nice to finally watch a low stakes episode that was actually funnier than expected! In this world Loki was not adopted by Odin so Thor grew up alone and spoiled and so never really grew out of his party stage. When Odin entered his Odinsleep, Frigga went off to visit her sister and Thor descended to Earth to party the planet away which SHIELD did not appreciate. I thought the whole thing was super fun and I liked seeing that Thor and Jane would fall for each other no matter who they were. I also thought that SHIELD was a little extreme in deciding that they needed to drop a nuke on Thor to get him to stop as if they wouldn't be bringing a whole ass alien race to war and really maybe it's my dislike of Captain Marvel but her whole vibe was really no fun. The end was absolutely hilarious though with Jane calling Frigga to tattle on Thor and that everyone was terrified of her enough to clean up Earth and pretend that they were all just studying. I'm not entirely sure what arrived at the end but it looked like Thanos with the Infinity Stones several years too early.

Titans Season 3 Episode 9

Truly I will never understand Titans both as a show and a concept. Like we spent all episode in the Afterlife where we followed Donna, Tim, and Hank as they attempted to return to the living and I don't understand what's happening for real. I thought this would be the perfect way to bring Hank back and then in turn negate whatever real evil Jason did so he could return to being a Titan but then Hank sacrificed himself to let Donna and Tim return and now I'm confused again. Maybe the fact that Hank chose to move on or let go or whatever will make the other Titans less inclined to hate Jason for killing him? I did like the idea that he found Donnie again though cause that made my heart soft. Also confusing is whatever mess Bruce is in. I have hated this show's version of Bruce Wayne since he was introduced but like now it's an even weirder. Like okay so apparently he wrote up his will and then killed Joker and then fled Gotham and tried to kill himself? And where in the hell did Donna appear from cause her body was definitely supposed to be on Themyscira? 

FINISHED My Hero Academia Season 5 Episode 25

We returned to what feels like the normal My Hero shenanigans and man was it a breath of fresh air. I'm truly so excited to see what I think will be the actual big arc that changes everything in this world next season! We've jumped forward 4 months to April in which our heroes have gone from first years to second years and at the same time Tomura will have completed whatever experiment is being run on him. The doctor did mention the fact that he's studying quirk singularities too and that got my attention given that's what Deku was told too. Like All Might said One For All had been slowly strengthened over time through the multiple quirk holders that wielded it and now it's reached peak performance inside Deku. Maybe he should have gone through Tomura's evil training too cause I'm starting to wonder if he's anywhere near the League in terms of strength!

Stargirl Season 2 Episode 6

Well shit guys everything that happened this week was unexpected! So Eclipso is officially out of the black diamond and ready to paint the town red. His powers work by absorbing the souls of others especially children and I think we're meant to believe that he's actually from another dimension or parallel world or something given that he told Shade that Shade is weaker than him cause he only siphons powers from Eclipso's world while Eclipso is from that world. In one foul swoop he destroyed whatever was budding with the baby Injustice League by killing Isaac for sure and possibly Cindy though I can't imagine that a perfectly ripe nemesis for Courtney in Cindy is gone from this show forever! Like maybe Shade snuck in and took her into his shadows to protect her? I mean why else didn't Eclipso suck her soul in like he did with Isaac? Also I'm still waiting for poor dumb Cameron to be let in on the joke cause right now he's wandering around all angst ridden though I really shouldn't expect him to struggle with the idea of his dad being a bad man cause it's clear this show has no need for nuance. I mean just look at Artemis. Her parents are complex cause they did lots of horrible things but they did love her more than anything else and yet she is acting like they're the most innocent flowers who were trampled on so I imagine that Cameron will react similarly in ignoring the fact that his dad was ready to murder millions and focus on the fact that he loved him and his mom and Courtney and co killed him.

What If Season 1 Episode 6

Honestly guys I'm not sure how I felt about this one! Like part of the struggle is in the fact that I was the dumb one and expected this to be a story of Killmonger being a good guy rather than a story of Erik playing 4D chess against everyone to get revenge on everyone! The thing is though that this episode felt a bit regressionary in terms of Erik's ideals when compared to Black Panther cause in that one his whole thing was that Wakanda had the ability to help but stood back while in this one he seemed more interested in conquering for fun. Like as dope as his plan was, what did he ultimately want? I did like the idea that unlike other worlds this one had a chance of surviving with Shuri and Pepper being clear that Erik was behind everything. I'd imagine that they'd expose his motivations and all the evidence of him doing terrible things but once again I'm left thinking of the future and the fact that if Iron Man wasn't there to do the ultimate snap and defeat Thanos maybe we'd be in a world with the population halved though still alive.

Titans Season 3 Episode 8

Honestly I believe Jason when he says he's sorry for everything he's done though it really brings up my problem with this show and it's beyond shitty writing. Like how in the actual hell does Jason go from ready to kill Dick to remorseful in one episode? Also how are we ever supposed to forgive Jason for killing Hank? I was right in guessing that Crane's drug was the thing that was causing Jason to go crazy but I feel like the show didn't push it far enough in terms of Jason's freewill. Gar brought up the fact that Jason's situation is like his with Cadmus but in that scenario Gar was really and truly mind controlled while Jason felt more like he lost impulse control and honestly besides the fact that I adore the Batfamily and the actor who plays Jason, I'm not entirely sure if this version of Jason can be forgiven. We saw more of Tim this week too and I loved how similar he was to the comics Tim Drake with his detective work and though I'm surprised that he was shot this week I'm sure he'll be fine cause unlike Barbara or Jason, Tim never actually gets hurt for real. We also really went from 0 to 60 with Blackfire and Connor and dudes the amount I hate it is so real. 

My Hero Academia Season 5 Episode 24

As the penultimate episode of the season it looks like we've pretty much wrapped up the My Villain Academia arc. I'm still not happy with this whole thing cause it really wasn't what I expected from the supposed arc that changes My Hero forever but at the same time I think I've finally figured out the timeline for this season despite the way it jumped around. I'm fairly certain that this fight went down and the Liberation Army became the Paranormal Liberation Front first followed by Hawks infiltrating the organization which happened at the same time as the Class A v Class B thing. After this the kids went on their work studies and Hawks warned Endeavor about the upcoming fight against the Liberation Army. I bet the fight is going to be next and will probs start season 6 and honestly I think that's the arc that I am more looking forward to. I mean yeah yeah it's great that the villains have all leveled up and whatever but I really didn't need a full arc to tell me that when the show could have just fit it into one episode or even told me they powered up while we were watching the heroes do the same.

What Shows Am I Watching This Week?

 Hello everyone and welcome back! Let's dive right in shall we?

FINISHED Lucifer Season 6

I'm honestly so torn over what I feel about this season cause as much as I love this show and was ready for more at the start of this season I also couldn't help but feel like season 5 was the perfect end to this whole show. Having said that I do have to admit that after I watched this season I actually thought where Lucifer ended up fit better in terms of a character arc than where he ended up in season 5 though I also can't help but feel like this season pretty much negated the last and I'm left wondering why the showrunners bothered with the whole Lucifer as God arc if they ultimately wanted him to be a therapist in Hell? I also felt like most of this season was pointless and kinda meandered around with no real point except for the fact that we finally met Adam, Ella finally got to find out the truth about the celestials (and an amazing relationship with Carol who I adored more than I thought I would) and I liked seeing Dan's journey to Heaven. I do wonder if a major part of my distaste for this season was my distaste for Rory's appearance cause it gave me Arrow PTSD flashbacks. Like Oliver, Lucifer was gone for the entirety of his daughter's life and only met her for a bit to convince her that he loved her and then ended up with Chloe after she died. In this show it's a little less weird cause we know there's an afterlife and most of our characters are immortal or can be visited anytime which is why it's extra weird that Lucifer couldn't just pop up and down from Earth to Hell. On the whole I don't think this season was worth it but I'm a completist so here we are.

FINISHED Legends Of Tomorrow Season 6 Episode 15

Well the season 6 finale is officially here and I'm really just thankful that we only have to wait like a month for season 7! The finale wrapped everything up in a much nicer bow that I expected with every one of the Legends alive and well including Spooner and Constantine as well as Bishop stopped. I'm a bit disappointed with the way the whole thing with Constantine ended cause he did come back to life but Zari was so fed up with his nonsense that they just broke up. I would honestly have preferred a more tragic end cause I liked my original theory that his death would be the thing that turns Zari 2.0 closer to Zari 1.0 as she mourns but I guess this way it leaves the door open for Constantine to return and for Zari to get back together with him given that not only did he give her a key which I think opens his roving House Of Mystery but also cause Matt Ryan is still on this show so it wouldn't be that hard to have him pop up again. I was also surprised that both Mick and Spooner seem to be sticking around but it was nice to see Sara and Ava get married though I really wish that the show could have gotten Quentin or Laurel back cause I hate the idea that Sara got married without her family! I'm not sure who the villains will be next season but I'm looking forward to whatever we get!

Stargirl Season 2 Episode 5

Was I the only one that thought that not only did Cameron know that his dad had ice powers but also that he had them too? Cause based on the final scene from this week it looks more like he's coming into his ice powers for the first time and just in time for him to probs hate Courtney too. I have a feeling that his grandma who also has ice powers to my surprise will tell him the whole truth out of worry that he's getting too close to Courtney. I do wonder though what will happen when he finds out cause we know that he's a really sweet kid and he clearly wants no part in anything Cindy is doing and clearly hates her so he's not going to join the ISA but I also can't imagine that his hero worship of his dad will allow him to forgive Courtney and the others. If Rick wasn't such an ass then he would have been one of the best people to reach out to Cameron and bond over losing his parents too but c'est la vie. I do have to say that this whole children of the ISA learning about the JSA hurting/killing their parents really makes me uncomfortable in a way I know means that I'm connecting with this storyline even though I want things to be rosier cause it's better than how I watch The Flash all disconnected! I'm also still worried about Mike cause Cindy has not given up on him but also we know that the Star Staff can remove Eclipso's influence so I imagine that after he gets infected he can be cured. I'm also glad that Pat is finally trying to get Mike to be his sidekick knowing that Mike feels alone!

What If Season 1 Episode 5

Duuuuudes I don't even know what this was!!! It's so fascinating how every single What If that we've watched so far other than the Captain Carter one ended so tragically which makes it seem as though Kang low key might have been right in controlling what the correct timeline would be since it's clear that unless all of our Marvel heroes choose one specific path every time then the universe comes to an end! In this world Janet contracted some sort of quantum virus that Hank brought back with him and then spread to the rest of the world making them all into zombies. We watched every one of the Avengers be killed and even at the very end when it looks like our heroes can get to Wakanda to create a cure, it might be meaningless since we know that Thanos's army will breech Wakanda's forcefield therefore not only getting the Mind Stone to complete his Infinity Gauntlet but also letting the zombie virus in and infecting the last safe zone on Earth. What I am curious about is the fact that zombie Thanos still seemed to retain his goal of wanting to snap away half the population despite turning into a zombie making me wonder why the other Avengers like Steve weren't able to fight it. Would we imagine that Thor, the Guardians, and Captain Marvel could save the day given that they're still in space away from this zombie virus?

Titans Season 3 Episode 7

I love that it's sweet innocent Gar who's the only real one in this show to actually worry and care about Jason no matter how little they got along when they were together. I'm still not sure I buy the reasoning behind Jason's turn but I can chalk it up to Lazarus + weird Crane brainwashing drug so I still would like to hope that if the Titans detox Jason and Gar stays with him as moral support that we'll be able to get him back. We did manage to beat Scarecrow this week which was fun and Blackfire and Starfire took the first step into reconciling when Blackfire told Starfire why she had to kill their parents and then when Starfire gave her a costume. I'm not sure I'm into the romance that's being set up between Connor and Blackfire cause he's a literal child in his mind but whatever I'll go with it. On another note it's curious that we're so far into the season and yet we still haven't seen hide nor hair of Raven or Donna. I guess I'm now just expecting them to show back up to save the day when the Titans are down for the count.

My Hero Academia Season 5 Episode 23

Whereas we saw more of Twice last week this week was focused on Shimura. For some reason I was going around thinking that he was All Might's mentor's son when actually he's her grandson. Her actual son was a monster in his own way given that he abused Shimura for being too much like her. He despised the fact that his mother left him to be a hero and when Shimura told everyone that he wanted to be a hero it triggered anger in him. It's ironic how easily he could have been like any of the other kids in the hero academy if only he had better role models. I did hear a theory though last week that I can't get out of my head and the more I think about it the more it makes sense. What if this whole thing was part of All For One's plan? Like what if he gave Shimura the decomposing quirk knowing that he would hurt his family and sent all the heroes after something so that he could swoop in and save Shimura in order to prove to him that heroes are nothing and keep him in his back pocket as a trump card.

What Shows Am I Watching This Week?

Legends Of Tomorrow Season 6 Episode 14

This week was the penultimate episode and I have to say that I was a bit disappointed in it. I mean Bishop's plan was pretty solid and I enjoyed watching him low key win but John's death felt kinda meh and I'm really not thrilled that his final moments weren't even with Zari! I bet though that there's a way to say the Fountain given the fact that with it (and John) dead Spooner dies too and I can't imagine that is how this season will end cause I still think that Spooner will end up moving back with her mom in the past and spending the rest of her life there given that's what she always wanted. If this does happen it's possible that John comes back too and maybe he's done enough terrible things to warrant Zari dumping him and him leaving the ship to repent or whatever. Or maybe he'll return as a new person after spending so much time with the Fountain and it's goodness and that's why Matt Ryan will be playing a new character. I do think it's kinda funny that Bishop's current evil plan is just to give up on Earth given that his original plan to save humanity kept being spoiled and I liked the idea that the Fountain (and mushrooms apparently lol) is an alien species meant to protect the Earth.

The finale is next week and it looks like we'll end up getting a spur of the moment wedding between Sara and Ava before aliens invade to destroy the Earth. I'm more curious to see where Bishop will fit in and how Zari will react to what happened with John. By the way Behrad better be back cause it makes no sense that he has just been missing these last two episodes!

Stargirl Season 2 Episode 4

I am fascinated by what's going on with the Shade cause I can't tell what level of evil he is! Like all of the ISA is bad but to varying degrees and that's really evident when seeing the Crocks. They really do love Artemis and want what's best for her and I pity her for how she's going to be used by Cindy. It kinda weirds me out that Cindy is about to mind control everyone into joining her version of the ISA using Eclipso cause it feels cheap to me. Like wouldn't it be better if she somehow gaslighted them into believing in her? I suppose though that this way it's easier for the JSA to beat her cause the second they take away Eclipso she'll lose her team too and maybe that's why we're going this way? I also guess it's important to note that it was Eclipso who killed Dr Midnite's daughter in the premiere like we saw and that actually Dr Midnite is alive in Shade's shadows though for what I'm not sure. Going full circle with the whole varying level of evils thing, Shade seemed genuinely horrified at the thought of Eclipso killing a ten year old girl and he seemed to struggle with the fact that Courtney is just a kid making me wonder if he also had a child that he lost so part of him yearns to protect other children.

What If Season 1 Episode 4

This was an interesting what if scenario if a bit meh cause I personally think Dr Strange is at his most interesting when he's interacting with other Marvel characters rather than in a standalone situation but it also probs didn't help that this episode followed last week's which was defs a high bar. I do also have to say that I haven't watched Dr Strange since it first came out in theaters so I really did forget that Dr Strange had a love interest but it was creative to say that he lost his heart in that accident rather than his hands. I liked the idea that the Ancient one split Steven into two pieces and in a way separated his conscience from his impulses and that in the end it didn't matter cause evil Dr Strange went through with his plan even though everyone and everything warned him that it wouldn't work. I kinda like how it ended with him destroying his universe and being alone forever to wallow cause it felt like karmic justice.

Titans Season 3 Episode 6

I'm not entirely sure that I understood what the plan was with Jason and him stealing some of the fear gas in order to sell on the streets cause it looks like he gave it to some thugs who shot up Tim Drake's noodle house while he watched. Normally I would have guessed that he targeted Tim cause Tim's a future Robin except according to Bruce's Robin files Tim wasn't on it cause Tim had a happy life so he didn't fit Bruce's MO. It also doesn't exactly look like the thug killed any of Tim's family so maybe it won't matter anyway? In other news we saw flashbacks of Dick and Barbara and I'm going to be really interested to see which girl this show thinks Dick belongs with cause in the comics it's usually Barbara but I've always have a soft spot for Starfire given that my first outing into the DC world was probs Teen Titans! I mean not that this Kory has time for romance in between juggling being Team Mom and Blackfire. I still can't read Blackfire but I did like her conversation with Connor about wanting a place to belong. Connor and Gar are truly the softest bois and deserve to be protected at all cost. I'm also curious about the fact that we still haven't seen Raven this season and I wonder if the show cut her out like Dawn and Hank cause people didn't like them as much as the others?

My Hero Academia Season 5 Episode 22

I'm struggling with this arc guys and it's a hundred percent entirely my fault. Like on one level I can understand why others enjoyed it but I'm kinda the worst person to impress when shows or movies do the thing where they put aside their main characters to give attention to others. I don't need more backstory on the League cause honestly I'm not the kind of person who needs their villains to be sympathetic and before this I felt like we had plenty over the course of a few minutes during these past five seasons. I mean yeah it's cool that they're all getting past their mental traumas and upgrading like we've seen a lot of our heroes do but unless this whole thing culminates in a big fight with the heroes I'm just meh.

Legends Of Tomorrow Season 6 Episode 13

Wow wow wow do I hate this story with John so much. I guess it'll be no problem for Zari to move on from him if this horrible evil mess is the man she last remembers before he dies. It sucks extra hard cause my heart melted with how adorably in love the two were and how I was totally right in saying that there's no way that Zari would have ever walked away from the man she loved when he was in pain. I loved that he chose her over magic itself and that though he wanted to break up with her cause she deserved better she refused to let him go down that route. I am really curious though about this whole magic blood demon and how much it tends to control John and how it sucks that the others didn't know that it was more than John's willpower that was keeping him addicted cause otherwise I'm fairly certain they'd have John in a cell next to Bishop in order to detox him. Would Gideon have a way to clear the poison from his system? Either way I guess it doesn't matter cause he is going to join Bishop and probs die along the way. I did like the Ava stuff though this week and the fact that she was struggling with how to feel about Bishop given that he clearly knows the perfect way to play her. I mean after all he built her.

I don't exactly have high hopes for the penultimate episode if I'm being honest cause I don't know whether I can trust Legends to really dig into how dark this whole thing with John is but at the same time it doesn't exactly look like next week is going to be a lighthearted romp so maybe I can hope a little? Also straight up Behrad better be around for the final two episodes this season cause Zari will need her brother!!

Stargirl Season 2 Episode 3

I have to say that I am actually really disappointed with the direction this show went this week cause I was really really excited to find out that Mike might be taking on the Thunder pen only to be let down when he ended up accidentally wishing the pen into better hands. I guess if Superman & Lois have taught me anything then it's the fact that sometimes it's important not to have every main cast in your show have powers. I just wish that Mike would get to do as much sleuthing or spywork for the JSA as Barbara does cause it breaks my heart to see how left out he felt all episode. Like Superman & Lois the highlight of this show is the family and I don't know if this show's writing team knows it cause I could truly care less about the other JSA members but I could watch hours of Courtney's family doing things! In other news it looks like Shade might actually be in Blue Valley to find Eclipso and perhaps that means that he'll end up teaming up with us cause though he probs doesn't care to save the current JSA it's clear that he's hunting Eclipso. Now that Beth was warned, it'll definitely be time to buckle down on the new villain of the season which should be fun.

What If Season 1 Episode 3

Okay so this might have been the best episode of this show so far! I had a blast with the whole murder mystery scenario in which we had to find the person who was killing every one of the Avengers initiates and I loved that it ended up being Hank who was behind it all. In this universe Fury recruited Hope to be a SHIELD agent but she died and Hank was getting his revenge. Loki brought the Asgardian troops to Midguard to "get revenge" for Thor's death which I'm sure a part of him really did care about but the rest of him was here to do his Avengers plot and take over the world. I'd imagine that despite everything Fury would still put together a team though a clearly different one with Captain Marvel at the helm and maybe Steve as well. Tbh Carol would whoop Loki's ass in three seconds though so maybe Fury wouldn't even actually need anyone else! I do have to say that of the three universes we've seen so far this one is the one that I would most want to live in more!

Titans Season 3 Episode 5

Ugh dudes this episode reminded me once again how much I adore Jason Todd and how pissed I am that this show decided to take him down the Red Hood route cause I liked good Jason and I liked how much he wanted to be good despite his darkness. It was fascinating seeing how he struggled with PTSD after season 2 and how Leslie was actually helping him until Bruce fucked everything up like he always seems to in this show. It's ironic that Bruce thinking that of course he knows best ignored the fact that Jason and Dick are two separate people. Like he sees both as his sons but whereas Dick needed Bruce and not Robin, Jason needed Robin not Bruce. Jason is too traumatized to realize that Bruce trying to keep him from being Robin wasn't a punishment but an acknowledgement that Bruce loves and wants to protect him. I did also like seeing the whole story with Jason and how he really did live out the whole Red Hood storyline from being murdered by the Joker to resurrected by a Lazarus Pit but now it seems that rather than the Lazarus Pit being the thing that turned him dark, it might have been something Scarecrow snuck into Jason's anti-fear gas. The poor thing. I wonder if it'll be possible to wean him off of it and what will be the thing to return him to who he was before.

My Hero Academia Season 5 Episode 21

Okay I have to say that because I tried to avoid all the spoilers in the world while watching this season I actually didn't know last week what this exciting arc that manga readers won't shut up about was about. After this week it seems that the arc is called My Villain Academia and we'll basically see everything about what the League was doing while we were following the heroes in their work studies and I'm assuming it'll end where we began with the Liberation Army stronghold city being wrecked and the League taking over the Liberation Army as Hawks tries to infiltrate. The thing though is that I still to this day don't actually understand what the Liberation Army tries to idolize and where Dabi fits in cause I was almost sure that he was a League member but is he actually not? I also don't know how I feel about an arc entirely about the villains cause why would we care if a bunch of villains get murdered or whatever! You can't keep telling me that this is the arc that changes everything if it doesn't affect the heroes we're actually following.

Legends Of Tomorrow Season 6 Episode 12

Is anyone else's heart breaking this week? I mean seriously I was practically on the edge of tears all episode since I now know that this addiction storyline is leading to John Constantine leaving the show. Not only do I adore his character but this season has given me a new appreciation and love for Zari and Constantine and the soft way they love each other. I'm almost fairly certain that he's going to die by the end of this season and it's going to break Zari possibly in the way that will make her closer to 1.0 than we expected cause honestly that's a better story than if they simply breakup cause of his addiction and he leaves the ship. Zari's dated all sorts of bad guys as we've been told and I could never see her leaving him without trying to help him through it if she loves him like she said. I am really curious though to find out who this new character Matt Ryan will be playing and whether that one will get a romantic storyline with Zari too cause the show can't throw away the chemistry between Tala and Matt like this! In other news Bishop is alive and back like I expected cause duh we have like 3 episodes left and no villain so we needed him. I am curious to see what he's up to and how the Legends will not only react to him but defeat him. I also have to say that this Mafia/Werewolf roleplaying game was hilarious even if I wished they had played it for real a bit more.

Ah okay so it looks like the Legends are going to figure out something's wrong with John next week and it's about time cause I am so ready for the angst!

Stargirl Season 2 Episode 2

Courtney was a struggle to handle this week and it's interesting cause it makes sense why she acted the way she did and yet my heart didn't like it! Jennie was a sweetheart and it was honestly kinda rude of Courtney to not only treat her like a villain but also to focus so hard on the fact that Jennie is a legacy that she forgot that Jennie was an orphan who grew up alone. Fortunately Pat set her straight and Jennie was high key upgraded so she not only no longer has to charge the ring with the Lantern but now it seems like she's straight up a Lantern. I am disappointed in the fact that she's gone already cause I feel like she and Rick would have a lot in common given their upbringings and their shared connection as legacies but I'd like to imagine that Oa called her home to train her so when she comes back she's more badass even though honestly that's probs just a dream and we'll never get that. Though actually maybe she'll end up on that Green Lantern show that HBO and Berlanti will be producing? With Diggle fingers crossed?? But no seriously we also saw that Shade is back and the stone that Cindy was carrying basically hypnotizes people so now I can see how she would get Mike to join her. 

Ah looks like Mike finds the pen and becomes a hero though I imagine that Courtney is going to try to stop him and that'll be what pushes him away into Cindy's evil clutches.

FINISHED Superman & Lois Season 1 Episode 15

Guess who toooootally didn't cry when she watched Clark give his eulogy for his father at that little funeral they had?? Alright you caught me. I cried like a baby! This was a pretty amazing finale and it highlighted everything I adored about this show from the start to the end. It's the most character centric show of the Arrowverse so once all the punching and fighting was finished, we were able to settle back with our characters and see how they've grown. I liked the idea that Edge's final words were about wanting a family and that Clark responded with you would have had one if only you reached out to me before. Cause it's totally true! The Kents have been begging John to stay and like he originally didn't want to but now that Natalie is here I'm sure this is going to end with an awkward situation in which Lois might have to be a mom to two families and I wonder if the boys will get jealous at all or if they'll just embrace the crazy situation and be happy they have a sister now. Tbh I could see more of the second than the first based on what good people they are but low key the drama is in the first and I could also see that happening. I'm also not surprised in the slightest that Lana and Kyle decided to stay cause duh but I also really liked Clark's speech as Superman about Smallville finding it's strength when it needed it. I'm definitely going to miss this show and be counting down the days until it's back!!

What If Season 1 Episode 2

I had a lot more fun with this week's episode than the last one which was interesting cause you would have thought at first glance I would be more interested in Peggy than T'challa but I think the problem with Peggy's episode was that it felt like a rehash of Captain America: The First Avenger rather than her own story whereas here T'challa and Peter are two completely different people so no matter the fact that they were raised by the same person they reacted to things differently. It was a sweet send off for Chadwick Boseman too given that this was officially the last thing he filmed in the Marvel universe given that he was basically a galactic hero. I loved that he was the one to convince Thanos that his plan was terrible and to give up before it got worse and that he and Nebula had a bit of a romance brewing cause of course he did. I also loved that he was able to reunite with his family back in Wakanda at the end and that he brought his alien family with him. I did think it was interesting that we never saw Gamora or any of the other Guardians other than Drax in a comedic moment but I suppose if T'challa stopped Thanos before he attacked Gamora's homeworld then she wouldn't have left. I also found it interesting that he didn't end up joining the Nova Core or something given that he was still a good man rather than a criminal like the original Starlord was. I also really liked the button at the end that told us this world is doomed since Peter met his dad and wouldn't have the same gripes that our Peter had with Ego.

Titans Season 3 Episode 4

So as it turns out Scarecrow is the one pulling Jason's strings and I'm really not a fan of this whole thing. Now I don't mean in the sense that I don't think the writing works but in the sense that it's all so clear in hindsight and I'm just sad to lose Jason. I also think it's amazing how this show continuously shows us what a terrible person Bruce is even before he supposedly murdered Joker. Like the writers of this show clearly think Bats is the worst person in DC and it's fascinating that Dick is totally a slightly softer copy of him and I think that's hilarious. Scarecrow definitely had some sort of reaction to Dick being all cold and sociopathic and I loved it. On that note I was totally stunned that the show not only really did kill off Hank but also barely gave him a real goodbye! Like apparently all the mourning happened offscreen combined with Dawn leaving for Paris to process her emotions. It's like the show was like okay guys let's move on with the next plot now please. Speaking of the start of the Blackfire plot didn't actually go down the way I expected it to. Like apparently Blackfire isn't the out-and-out villain she's supposed to be and maybe she's actually just misunderstood or maybe part of the reason why she turned out the way she did was cause of Starfire.

My Hero Academia Season 5 Episode 20

I'm really curious about where this week ended up going and how we basically rewound back 2 months in order to see what the League Of Villains were up to so that when we do throw down with them in the future there will be more stakes. It seems as though I wasn't all right in guessing what's going on in terms of the League and Hawks. I assumed that the Liberation Army was just the newest method the League was using to sow chaos but in fact this week we saw that it's actually probs more like the League is playing along with the Liberation Army in order to infiltrate and destroy them like they did during the Eri arc last season. The Liberation Army seemed to be targeting the League and Hawks seemed to be targeting the Liberation Army and the trio sort of have stumbled on each other or so I can gather so far. I am curious about how this all went down in 2 months but I'll be open to the answer!
