What Shows Am I Watching This Week?

Hello everyone and welcome back! Let's dive right in shall we?

Legends Of Tomorrow Season 6 Episode 8

Low key I'm cackling cause this episode was funnier than it had the right to be. I mean first of all David Ramsay in that horrid fake mustache which clearly had to be a joke cause there's no way that the same show that had this incredible fake worm alien was like yeah we can't afford a nice fake mustache. I was a little disappointed that he wasn't in more of the episode but it was just funny enough that Sara was like "Dig?" when she saw Reeves. Speaking of I was impressed that Sara told Ava and then subsequently the others in like less than one episode about her alien clone thing which once again proves why this show is the best of the Arrowverse. I do kinda wish we spent more time on the idea of Sara being a clone cause I feel like there's still more that we don't understand about the whole soul/clone body thing but I guess the show really doesn't want us to think too hard about it. Constantine spent the whole episode trying to get Gary to tell him about the magic fountain that I expected him to use but it feels like the show's actually not going to focus on that search (unless it's one of those side episodes in which we follow just him) and rather we'll just see him come back with magic again.

Omg I'm dying about how meta next week's episode is going to be. It's clearly a knock on the whole Beebo animated special that's coming soon and I can't wait to see the Legends do their shenanigans!

FINISHED Fruits Basket Season 3 Episode 13

With this final episode of Fruits Basket we're truly coming to the end of an era and it's honestly so bittersweet. We really did get a perfect ending to this show and despite all the issues that everyone else had I never thought that this season was anything less than perfect. I mean yeah I would have loved 25 episodes over 13 but that's a given for most shows cause more is usually better! The reason I think it's bittersweet is cause I don't wanna say goodbye! These last few episodes since the curse broke have felt more of an epilogue than anything else with everyone graduating and getting ready to leave the nest. Yuki is going off to college while Kyo and Tohru are going on their martial arts dojo adventure, Hatori and Mayu are going on vacation, and Arisa was getting ready to meet Kureno wherever he was. I loved seeing Akito a little more calm and in touch with her girly side and really she looked and sounded like a whole new person with how happiness suited her. I also loved that Yuki finally told Tohru that he sees her as a mom but more than that I adored the final scene of this week when we saw Tohru and Kyo having grown old together. They had two kids and at least one grandkid and I almost cried seeing it! I swear if by now you haven't checked this show out then I don't know what you've been waiting for! Do yourself a favor and watch Fruits Basket.

The Flash Season 7 Episode 15

I have to say that it low key sucks that I've known that Bart Allen is coming somewhere down the pike cause it's leaving me disappointed every single week. I really thought this would be the one though given that Nora West-Allen appeared in Barry's dream just like Barry and I thought that this would be evidence that Bart would be Nora's kid so Barry's grandchild like in the comics! To my disappointment not only was Bart not there but also as it turns out Iris wasn't pregnant either. I do wonder if I even want this show to touch Bart with a ten foot pole given their track record on misusing DC characters I adore like poor poor Wally who tbh didn't have it the worst but also didn't exactly have it great either. I do wonder what is up with Iris not appearing in the show these last two weeks and I wonder if Candice has something going on in real life cause her disappearance was really not inconspicuous. I also still don't know what is up with Chill Blaine or the storyline with Kramer but like maybe Cryke will be the Big Bad for the last stretch?

Next week already is looking up given Diggle is showing up and I'm high key living for the fact that David Ramsey clearly struck some sort of deal given that he's appearing in every Arrowverse show currently airing! Oh and there's some more Godspeed stuck but you guys know what I'm into.

Loki Season 1 Episode 4

What even was that ending??? I mean I knew the moment that Loki got pruned that something wasn't going to go the way the TVA wanted but I was assuming time travel would be involved rather than what looks like an alternate universe in which variants are stuffed? Like maybe those fancy sticks just move variants to some sort of prison dimension which is where our Loki met up with other Loki variants. I have a feeling that they're all going to be ones from the comics cause I mean we already have Lady Loki and I know there was a Kid Loki but I'm not sure who the other two are yet but I'm sure by next week the internet will have told me! I do think it's funny that I didn't read the room incorrectly and there was romantic tension brewing between Loki and Sylvie but I sort of assumed that would a line too far for a Disney show and that I was just programmed to see romance between a guy and a girl at all times unless they're siblings but nope their love for each other literally caused the biggest weirdest branch in the Sacred Timeline and I was cackling. It's also important to note that poor Mobius was also pruned and we found out that the Time Keepers were actually robots which begs the question who's actually running the TVA and how and why??

Spring 2021 Anime Awards

Hey guys! The Spring 2021 Anime Season has officially come to a close this week and I have to say that this season absolutely killed with the content we got! So much was so good that I don't even know how I'm going to break it all down!

Anime Of The Season

Fruits Basket Season 3 is my pick for the anime of the season and like part of felt like this was cheating cause it's a sequel but after everything that I experienced with this show, I couldn't help but place it at the top anyway! Season 3 finally answered questions that I had for decades and it wrapped up the story in the most perfect way. Every single person in this show got the ending they deserved and though I do wish that we had the full 25 episode season that other seasons did, I still was content. I love that this is a story of abuse and learning to forgive whether that's someone who wronged you or your own self. The writer of this show did an absolutely incredible job telling real world stories through magic and curses without making you roll your eyes at the metaphors or thinking that it was too much. This show will forever go on my favorite anime of all time list!

Runner Up - 86 Eighty Six

Hidden Gem

The Saint's Magic Power Is Omnipotent is the hidden gem of the season and I picked it over any other show I watched this season cause I think literally no one watched this one other than me and I think that sucks. I mean yeah there were a ton of better anime this season and it's another isekai which I know a lot of people hate but something about this show was just so cute. I loved the world that it built and the main romance that formed between Sei and Hawke and it was enough to keep me coming back for more each and every week.

Runner Up - Koikimo

Best Sequel

Fruits Basket Season 3 is definitely the best sequel of this season and like there wasn't even any competition. Of course My Hero Academia was up there but while that show was sort of dawdling towards what I think will the better second half, Season 3 of Fruits Basket was no holds barred insanity. I loved the way it finally gave us the real story of the original banquet and the way we finally saw the curses break even if part of me still doesn't actually know what the trigger was. The ending was so bittersweet cause while I loved it I was also sad to leave our characters behind! Every single character went on this amazing arc in which they grew into their best selves and it was so lovely to think back to how they were when we first met them back in season 1!

Runner Up - My Hero Academia Season 5

Greatest Animation/Character Design

Vivy - Fluorite Eye's Song had the best animation this season hands down. I wasn't the biggest fan of this show in terms of story and the ending definitely bored me enough that I barely paid attention to it but I can't knock it for the fact that it was most beautifully animated show of this season. I loved the way we would have these super detailed close ups in order to highlight a point that a character was making or have us see that a character was touched or emotionally affected. The fights were beautifully depicted as well!

Runner Up - Pretty Boy Detective Club

Best OP

Pleasure by Warp's Up from Fruits Basket Season 3 is definitely my favorite OP of the season. It's the first Fruits Basket OP that's sung by a male band rather than a female artist and I wonder if it's cause our male characters all grew more confident in themselves. The JPOP sound fit so well with the thunder that started the OP and I loved the lyrics!

Runner Up -

Protagonist Of The Season

Vladilena "Lena" MilizĂ© from 86 Eighty Six is my protagonist of the season cause I am still stunned by the arc she went through in 86. Like I went back and forth so many times wondering if 86 should be my anime of the season but in the end Fruits Basket was just too perfect to not win so I thought that at least if Lena wins best protagonist I won't be too saddened! The interesting thing about Lena is that when I started this show I really expected her to be the typical spoiled naive female lead in most of these types of shows that claims to fight the power out of a sense of morality but never acts as anything more than a lovesick puppy or a damsel in distress. To my surprise Lena not only carried so much of this show but she might also have been the only one to leave it alive. I loved that we saw that she wasn't perfect at the start from the way she treated the 86 as different than dogs but then also accidentally didn't treat them as human either. She literally blackmailed her so-called best friend into doing something illegal and saving the 86 with bombs knowing that they needed her and that she wouldn't get more of a slap on the wrist for breaking the rules.

Runner Up - Tohru Honda from Fruits Basket

Antagonist(s) Of The Season

Akito Sohma from Fruits Basket Season 3 is my antagonist of the season and I'm glad that this category is antagonist and not villain cause at the end of the day Akito while being one of the best written characters in Fruits Basket was also another victim of the Sohma family and their curse. I never expected to end my watch of Fruits Basket feeling sorry for Akito or seeing her as anything more than the devil after watching her revel in hurting others both emotionally and physically but like Akito said herself she's atoning not being redeemed. I always hate the idea of redemption of villains cause it always makes it feel like they've got nothing to feel sorry or guilty about but by Akito atoning she is acknowledging that she did wrong before and that the others have the right to accept or push her away on their own.

Runner Up - The Republic of San Magnolia

Ship Of The Season

Kyo and Tohru from Fruits Basket Season 3 are my ship of the season and like really was there any other competition?? The best thing about Fruits Basket is how clearly it depicts relationships both platonic and romantic and how unlike in other shows how clear it is why characters feel the way they do about one another. Kyo was the only person in Tohru's life who she was open with and who helped her rather than having her help him and she provided him a sense of belonging and home. The episode where Kyo told her about Kyoko was heartbreaking but I loved that Tohru used it to prove that she could be selfish too and that her love for him was more important than anything else. I loved that he chased her down after the hospital and begged for one more chance promising that he would never need another one since he'd treat her so well. I loved that she didn't hesitate for a second to agree to leaving with him and I definitely think the two are going to live the most happily ever after.

Runner Up - Ichika and Ryou from Koikimo

And with that I'll see you all in the Summer 2021 Season!!

What Shows Am I Watching This Week?

Hello everyone and welcome back! Let's dive right in shall we?

Legends Of Tomorrow Season 6 Episode 7

Truly I don't know where this season goes from here cause I really thought that there's no way that Sara was actually cloned and is half alien now but with more and more proof it looks like yeah Sara really isn't the same person she was before. This confuses me on so many degrees cause if we're going with the logic that you can transfer consciousness from body to body, are we supposed to assume that your soul moves with you too? I mean normally this is all theoretical and stuff but it's canon in the Arrowverse that humans have souls as seen with Sara when we had to go get her from Hell and Oliver when he was stuck in Purgatory. I guess that has to be the case cause the show wants us to believe that our Ava though a clone is a full human with a soul so by that logic so must Sara? Also I don't know if I believe that Bishop was blown up cause it's too early in the season to lose our Big Bad but I mean Kayla is still out there too so there's that? I do have to say that it was super sweet when Sara proposed to Ava and I liked all the back to the future antics as well as Zari calling John out again for not having magic cause she knows him and adores him anyway which is adorable.

Based on the promo for next week we're headed back to the Wild West which might mean another Jonah Hex cameo? It does look like Sara tells the others about everything that happened so at least we won't have to sit around wondering when the other shoe will drop!!

Fruits Basket Season 3 Episode 12

Talk about a series finale penultimate episode you guys! I cried and cried and cried cause goodbyes really are the saddest even if there's a hint of happiness in the future as well. It's just that I like to imagine all my characters happy and together when I leave them so I never like when shows end with the main cast separating. At least here everyone is a Sohma or Sohma-adjacent so no matter how far they go eventually they'll all come home. Last week Kureno and Uo decided to leave and this week it looks like Kyo and Tohru will as well. I loved that we finally saw what Kyoko actually meant when she told Kyo that she wouldn't forgive him after the accident. She was actually talking about the promise he made to her years ago about protecting Tohru and I imagine if she could see them now she would never be happier seeing the two so in love. I do think it's crazy that after all this time we still haven't seen Tohru's dad or heard that love story when I know it was so important in the manga but I guess we also haven't seen how Manabe knows Tohru either. Speaking of Yuki and Machi kissed this week and truly it was still so random cause of all the couples in this show they're the ones I least care about even if we've seen less of others! Akito also decided to take a step forward by revealing the fact that she's a woman to the zodiacs and formally letting them go but deciding against giving them an empty apology and instead sticking around the estate to make amends. She and Shigure are finally a couple as well and low key their toxicity makes me live a little.

The Flash Season 7 Episode 14

I was trying to keep an open mind about this episode cause sometimes these types of episodes surprise you but honestly this was just as strange as I expected it to be from the promo last week. I guess I would have preferred if we had known for a longer time that Allegra was keeping an eye out for her cousin cause then this would be the fruit of her labor rather than something that came up randomly. I did like Allegra's power up though even if I expected it the minute that doctor starting saying stuff about their powers coming from hate. Like it's never hate that powers things in these types of situations but love! Speaking of love, it really does look like the show will be pushing Allegra and Chester together and that weird look they exchanged a few episodes back didn't mean nothing like I first thought. The irony of this show is how badly it writes it's love stories compared to something like Legends where literally any and every pairing works for me. It was also funny that Iris was literally not in this episode at all and Barry was barely in it either. I really guess all this focus on the two of them "trying" is going to lead right up to Bart's appearance huh?

Godspeed is back in the promo for next week as is the criminal that Frost has been flirting with all season making me laugh at how they really are going to be a thing.

Superman & Lois Season 1 Episode 11

Wow this week was totally sweet and heartbreaking all at once. I really enjoyed the look back on Clark's life and honestly the cuteness that was Lois and Clark getting to know one another and working the beat in Metropolis was low key everything this show could have been. Like don't get me wrong I have been enjoying the family stuff but I kinda wish we saw more of Lois and Clark before they became a family unit. I guess the major reason this show didn't go that way is cause there's been plenty of iterations in which we see the two in the early stages of life but none with this budget and writing prowess! I also kinda love that the thing that turns Superman is when Morgan threatens his family though I don't entirely like the fact that the first thing Lois does is call John Henry Irons. I wonder what she's going to say about how she knows and why she thinks it is but I bet that the focus is going to be on subduing Edge more than Superman. Meanwhile I also really loved that Kyle finally spoke to Lois about the way he's been treating her and apologized and I wonder if this will be the first step to him becoming a new man worthy of Lana...

Okay so I know shit was going down in the promo for 3 weeks from now but all I want to scream about is the fact that John freaking Diggle was in the promo!!!! I'm so excited cause this is the first we've seen of not only him since Arrow ended but also the first we've seen this show crossover with the other Arrowverse shows which is ironic since Supergirl exists in this world too. Like shouldn't Lois dial up Kara and be like yo this dude turned your other cousin?

Loki Season 1 Episode 3

This episode was fascinating and super annoying too cause it didn't actually give us any more answers about Lady Loki or what she wants or why she's doing what she's doing. What I do know is that she clearly doesn't like to be called Loki which is weird if she is a Loki variant cause I can't imagine a Loki who doesn't love himself or herself! I know the popular theory around is that she's actually Enchantress and honestly I could see that too cause we just don't know anything about anything. What we did learn was that everyone at the TVA are variants who have somehow got their minds hijacked by the Time Keepers or the TVA higher ups into believing that they were created to work for the TVA. The question is that if that's true why haven't they done the same thing to our Loki cause then they could use all his smarts without the mistrusting him part. Aside from all that it was really nice just to bask in all of Loki's glory. I loved seeing him drunk and also acting silly in a way that reminds of the Loki from Thor Ragnarok given that he's more mischievous than truly evil but the best moment was when he was reminiscing about his mom and how she taught him magic cause of course Tom Hiddleston excels at the tragic scenes. I do hope the show dials back the himbo antics a bit though cause Loki is still supposed to be smart unless it wants me to believe that he continuously gets one over on Thor and all of the Asgardians cause they're even dumber than him.

My Hero Academia Season 5 Episode 14

I still find it the cutest thing how much Hawks idolizes Endeavor cause it's not like he's a hero that everyone adores right off the bat! I was surprised at first to find out that Hawks was actually undercover with this so-called Liberation Army rather than with the League Of Villains but I wonder if it's actually that he's undercover in both. Like what if the League is using the Liberation Army in their evil plans so they sent Hawks there to test him? Or what if this is kinda a side-gig for him and the LoV knows that he's here on command from the Hero Commission but don't care as long as he helps them when they need to like with the Nobus. It does kinda suck that he sold out Blue Jeanist to League and I guess that explains why Katsuki was worried about him last week but also why there wasn't any news on him either. I did love that Endeavor picked up the clues that Hawks dropped so quickly and I like that they're seeding the next arc after this work study one already though I do wonder if this will be the end of all the Hawks stuff we see until that arc begins. Do we know how long this arc is going to be cause I will be heartbroken if the thing that everyone was gushing about being the thing that changes My Hero Academia and Deku forever is actually coming in season 6!

What Shows Am I Watching This Week?

Hello everyone and welcome back! Let's dive right in shall we?

Legends Of Tomorrow Season 6 Episode 6

Of all the things I expected this show to do it wasn't to make the current Sara a clone of the old Sara!! I mean at this point why not given that Sara's died and come back to life enough times and the Laurel currently living in our Arrowverse is from another Earth?? I really hope this means that Sara can really dig into the horror that comes from realizing she's a clone and whether that means that she's still Sara but I worry that since this show is mostly a comedy that it'll just brush the whole thing off and pretend like it's no big deal. It's about time that the show gave Sara a meaty storyline outside of dating Ava cause all the other Legends get something! Speaking of the Legends I still really don't care for Spooner but I think it's probs very likely that she also houses some alien like Amelia which is interesting cause I totally thought that she would be a half alien. It's also interesting that John is still hiding his lack of magic from the team but it was pretty great that Zari picked up on his sketchiness even if he convinced her he was fine. It was also pretty hilarious watching the Legends destroy his house and naturally Mick slept with Gary's alien fiance. Gary meanwhile might be hooking up with Cooking Ava which will be hilarious but also creepy!

The promo for next week shows us that the Legends are going to be trying to stop Sara's kidnapping from ever happening which I'm sure will go well but it looks like it'll be focused on Behrad so at least there's that!

Fruits Basket Season 3 Episode 11

This episode was truly everything I could have wanted and more. There are still shivers running up and down my spine even as I write this review and I cannot imagine how people watch this show and think it's boring or not living up to the hype. I spent what feels like ages waiting for Tohru and Kyo to finally kiss on screen when they're both conscious and aware and yet that wasn't even the biggest thing that happened this week! I loved seeing Tohru freak out realizing that there was no world that she wanted to live in that wasn't by Kyo's side and that the moment Kyo apologized and begged for another chance she gave it without hesitation and I was honestly really glad that Kyo did acknowledge all that he did wrong though I also wish he had said that he lied when he said that she disappointed him cause that barb really did stick with poor Tohru. I loved that they kissed and that he wanted to hold her just for a second in order to savor the moment but I'm still kinda confused about what led to the curse breaking. Is it a lack of fear of the future? Is it a realization that they don't need or want the Sohma family or the curse? Did Kureno really think all this as a child back in the day? I really did like the look back at what the original zodiacs and God wanted and I do wonder like God at what point it went from something everyone (except for the cat) wanted to a burden.

The Flash Season 7 Episode 13

Oddly enough this was a pretty solid episode of The Flash which fascinated me cause you all know that I'm not really about this show anymore. Sue came back and it looks like it'll be on a semi-permanent basis which was good cause it sucked that just cause Ralph's actor was a horrible person, Sue's actress had to suffer as well. I still don't know why the show doesn't just recast Ralph but maybe they really did want to downsize on the amount of heroes on Team Flash given that Frost left as did Cisco so the only ones with powers are Barry, Cecile kinda, and Allegra. I'm still waiting for Bart to arrive though and I'm worried all this anticipation will leave me feeling disappointed especially since Jordan Fisher is busy on Broadway and I wonder if he'd have the time to do both... Cecile's whole thing with therapy does feel a little out of nowhere but I liked the talk Joe and Cecile had at the end which might have made the whole thing worth it. It was also hilarious seeing Chester catch Barry and Iris in the Starchives and how he was like please do it somewhere else. Also I guess I was wrong in assuming that the mask was the Big Bad cause we defeated it pretty quickly so the hunt's still on to find the second half of the season's Big Bad.

Next week feels like a bit of a filler episode given that we're following Allegra as she tries to find her evil cousin but at the same time some of the best episodes of The Flash have been ones that don't focus on The Flash so I'll keep an open mind.

Superman & Lois Season 1 Episode 10

I want to roll my eyes at the fact that Morgan Edge really was Clark's half brother but honestly that part makes sense especially after watching the Syfy show Krypton and seeing how much the world focused on genetic engineering. It's the fact that he ended up on Earth that I don't love cause I never really like when there are tons and tons of aliens from Krypton who escaped before the destruction since more Kryptonians means Clark is less special. I also don't know if I love the fact that Jor El never actually told Clark that he had a half brother but I did like that we finally got a glimpse of this universe's Jor El and it was super sweet that the first thing Clark did after saving the day was take his mom's consciousness to the Fortress so that he didn't have to lose her for the third time. What I'm not entirely sure of is whether Morgan Edge followed him to the Fortress or if we're somewhere else cause the whole dark and empty landscape thing was not helping. Also as a sidebar Lana is such a badass and I wish that she had someone better for her than Kyle the hot mess but also I'm still on the Jonathan going dark bandwagon even though I don't particularly want to be.

Hmm looks like the promo for next week is showing us that we'll actually be getting a flashback to when Clark first became Superman which is interesting. I wonder if it's meant to make him reaffirm his love for humanity while he's suffering from a solar flare.

Loki Season 1 Episode 2

Well okay no one is shocked that the Loki we're chasing is Lady Loki but I am really curious to find out what she wants. Our Loki despite everything still wants to rule and he's switched his target from the Nine Realms or whatever to the TVA but Lady Loki just bombed the sacred timeline which means that she must want to destroy the TVA or find the Time Keepers. Maybe she's pissed at the way her story was written in the sacred timeline and wants revenge or maybe she wants to fix problems like Ragnarok? Speaking of what's interesting is the fact that the TVA file says that Ragnarok killed a major portion of the Asgardian population but I was fairly certain in Thor Ragnarok that Thor and Loki saved most of the population if not all but if that's not the case then the jokes that Taikia placed right as everyone watched Asgard explode was really much more horrible than I first thought! Part of me is glad that Loki followed Lady Loki into that portal cause I want to know more about her but the rest of me is a little sad that everyone who distrusted Loki was proven right. It sucks that Moebius is going to be blamed for all this even though really if Loki wasn't in the field or if this mission wasn't sanctioned, everything would still have gone down the same way so bygones and all that maybe??

My Hero Academia Season 5 Episode 13

Even though I can't help but feel like all of the Class A v Class B stuff was low key filler even if it did showcase to us how much our kids grew over the course of 5 seasons, this episode was definitely more of a transitional one than the previous ones cause it definitely feels like we're building up to something really hitting the fan. I couldn't remember what happened to Best Jeanist but I thought he was okay last we checked after the All For One fight so the fact that he's missing has me curious. Did he just recently disappear and is this disappearance more of a missing/kidnapped thing or that he's taking a break? I feel like the fact that the rest of 1A doesn't know must mean it's the second but either way him disappearing means that Katsuki and Deku can go with Shouto to intern with Endeavor which makes me happy cause the more Shouto we get the better!

What Shows Am I Watching This Week?

Hello everyone and welcome back! Let's dive right in shall we?

Legends Of Tomorrow Season 6 Episode 5

On the whole this wasn't exactly the best episode to come back to cause I really didn't care much for following Astra through her troubles but the Sara and Bishop stuff was interesting enough to save it. Having said that there were some stuff in the Astra storyline that were fun such as seeing her seeing John do all sorts of funny things popping in and out of the manor hinting at previous episodes but also I really loved everything once Crowley turned the world into an animated one. Seeing the Legends as magical objects was hysterical but I am curious about the whole John has no more power thing and based on his face it looks like he can never get it back. Naturally I'm not worried cause I'm sure he'll drink from the alien fountain that Crowley was talking about and get it back but I do wonder how long he'll keep this whole thing a secret for. Meanwhile with Sara, I'm still not thrilled at where this whole alien thing ended up but I did like the idea of Bishop being the creator of the Ava clones cause it'll definitely lead to some fun Ava stuff. It also seems like Bishop has somehow linked his life with Sara's so like kill one the other dies too but it doesn't explain why they're immortal. Also his plan is seriously one of the dumbest I've seen on Legends so there's that.

The most exciting thing about next week is definitely Gary coming back cause the whole Sara storyline didn't feel the same without him! I am curious though about why Bishop would send Amelia to Earth and the Legends specifically cause wouldn't it just cause problems for him?

Fruits Basket Season 3 Episode 10

We really are ramping up towards the end and it's high key making me sad cause I don't want it to end!! Part of me still can't help but feel like things are being rushed like Yuki falling in love with Machi or Kyo forgiving himself for everything. Like it was just two episodes ago that he decided that he was unlovable but all of a sudden none of it matter anymore? I'd maybe believe it a bit more if Kyo in a funk went to visit his dad and then realized that he was misremembering certain things about his mom's death leading to him thinking that maybe he was wrong about Kyoko or even seeing his father and deciding that isn't who he wants to be like but the way it played out Yuki basically told him to get over himself and Kyo was like yeah okay. I guess I shouldn't complain too much though cause I want Kyo and Tohru to have a heart to heart next week and kiss for real cause I adore them! Meanwhile Akito told Arisa where Kureno was and she went to visit him and they basically decided to run away together cause Akito needs to move on and Arisa loves Kureno and it was adorable as all hell especially how shocked Kureno was that Arisa would follow him when he thinks that he doesn't deserve her. Akito too decided things were about to change when she said that Kyo was free and that she's knocking down the cottage.

The Flash Season 7 Episode 12

We're back with a new episode of The Flash and it was Cisco's goodbye episode. Once again I probs should have cared more but the amount of times that I thought this show was writing Cisco is too high to count so I'm pretty sure I've used up all my emotion on it. That and somehow this show no longer makes me feel pretty much anything. Legends and Superman & Lois still do but this one I watch more amused than anything else. Like the big thing all episode was that Cisco told the others that he was leaving to take over ARGUS's science division and then worried that they wouldn't miss him cause they were acting too cool only to find out that they were just pretending not to be sad so that their last day wouldn't be filled with tears and honestly what juvenile writing. That might be such a mean thing to say but there I said it. Also I had to laugh at the idea that Diggle and Lyla went to Metropolis at the end of Arrow but now Cisco and Camille are moving to Star City? I do wonder who the show will get to replace Camille though cause the new photographer will definitely be a supporting cast member who'll eventually join Team Flash so it can't be some nobody. Maybe this is how Bart comes into the picture? Also it looks like Cecile is going to be the villain for this back half cause it looks like her powers are evolving or she's seeing someone that no one else can?

Okay so yeah the promo for next week definitely just answered my questions. It looks like it's someone else who's going to be the Big Bad and they've possessed Cecile's body for it unless this is all a red herring to trick us which I could believe.

Superman & Lois Season 1 Episode 9

I'm always so amped watching this show and I wonder if at any point I'll be over how good it is cause I really hope not. This week saw Jordan and Clark get poisoned by the synthetic Kryptonite gas that Clark was doused with last week and I liked the idea that it was basically like a virus with the way it spread from Clark to Jordan. It's always so fun to see the two of them do superhero things and I'm just waiting not so patiently until he gets to wear the Superboy costume. On the other hand I am starting to worry a smidge about where Jonathon's storyline might be going. Like we all know that eventually his powers will manifest but it'll probs be a while from now but in the meantime I'm really enjoying the parallels between him and Lois but the thing that worries me a bit is the thought that maybe he'll end up more like General Lane than Lois despite the fact that he's adamant that he would never fear his family especially after he fought those X-Kryptonite people. I don't doubt that he would love and protect his family but I do have a feeling that he'll go a bit dark which is sad for my sunshine boy. Also we found out that Edge is also an alien but I really hope he's not Kryptonian or actually Clark's family cause I feel like we've been there done that in like every iteration of Superman including Supergirl and I'd like to imagine that this show is more unique but at the same time what else could have turned Clark in John Henry Irons's world other than the appearance of his family?

Ugh the promo is really doubling down on the whole Edge and Clark are brothers thing huh? Please be a red herring! Also it looks like the kids might be stuck in one of General Lane's bunkers while something is going on? Yes please!

Loki Season 1 Episode 1

Ahhh so the first episode of Loki is finally out and it was everything I could have wished for! Okay so the first half was a bit rough cause the Loki we meet up with is the Loki from Avengers who went on and on about destiny and freedom being fake and wanting to be King which was my least favorite Loki but as the episode went on we saw more of the anti-hero Loki who is more my jam and that's when the episode kicked in for me. I love that despite everything Loki does love his family in his own sort of way. The way he freaked out at the idea of the TVA having his mom somewhere and losing it seeing her die and then his dad and smiling at the idea of bonding with Thor again made me heart ache for him. The whole thing made him realize that he's so far out of his depth with this time travel stuff and I'm left wondering what he'll end up doing cause despite the goodness in him he's still not a hero and I bet he's still got a plan cooking in the back of his mind. Like maybe he'll play along and see where this whole thing goes but in the end he wants to take over the TVA or meet the Time Keepers or something and I look forward to seeing where that goes. I am curious about the fact that there's a Loki out there that's killing TVA members and I wonder which dark timeline he's from cause I can't see ours really hunting despite all his threats.

My Hero Academia Season 5 Episode 12

Okay now that the show is officially moving on from the competition, it's starting to feel like the amazing gem it was before. Like I always enjoy competitions and stuff but somehow it's not my favorite part in this show and something about a competition without any stakes was meh to me. Like at least previous competitions were meant to get the kids internships or hero licenses but this was just meant to reintroduce us to Shinso so that we'll be happy when he joins Class A cause duh obviously he will given that Eraserhead is his mentor. I did like seeing Eri again cause she's adorable and of course she was with Best Boi Togata and that she gave Deku the confidence to not fear his One For All cause quirks are just tools that can be good or bad based on who wields them. It was also fun seeing Shouto and Katsuki catch those villains and help save the day 30 minutes after they got their licenses and it was funny seeing Shouto reach out to his dad to ask him to help train his fire just cause of how Endeavor reacted. Like hold up villain I need to text my son back.

What Shows Am I Watching This Week?

Hello everyone and welcome back! Let's dive right in shall we?

Lucifer Season 5 Part 2

Wow what an intense second half of season 5! I don't know what I was expecting from this season going in but it definitely wasn't this and for that I'm so glad cause I love being pleasantly surprised. I mean naturally this is where the show was going right with Lucifer having started as the King of Hell only to end up God?? I really liked that we finally met the original God and that he was just as vague and mysterious as Lucifer made him out to be but I also liked that were hints of his goodness and benevolence too. I've watched a lot of asian dramas that use God or some creation Deity in their shows and every time those deities are selfish and antagonist and I liked that this show hit such a perfect balance. His retirement was totally strange and out there but I liked that he ended up going to be with the Goddess Of Creation in her universe and that it was all a plot by Michael to gaslight God and take the power for himself. I do wish that the angels hadn't been portrayed as one-note though cause they seem much more selfish and uncaring of humanity than I would have liked but maybe that's the point cause with Amenadiel and Lucifer really only being the two angels who have spent time on Earth of course they would be the only two that had a chance of being God and loving humans the way He did. Eve and Maze ending up together was precious but I'm still waiting for Ella to find out the truth given she's the only one left of the main cast who doesn't know! Also on the whole the Lucifer and Chloe relationship this season felt like it treaded the same waters we have for the past five seasons but I kinda like the idea that rather that Lucifer giving up everything and being mortal (like a lot of asian supernatural dramas tend to do which is my frame of reference cause I've watched so many recently) that it's Chloe instead that's embracing the supernatural by becoming immortal until she's ready to move to Heaven where she'll probs be God's wife like the Goddess Of Creation was. The only thing that sucked about this season was the fact that it killed Dan off who I've grown to adore as the seasons go on but more than that it sucked that Dan ended up in Hell after all.

Fruits Basket Season 3 Episode 9

This week was all about Tohru and Akito and how they really are two sides of the same coin though based on circumstances one reacted to her situation differently. Both are so utterly terrified of being alone and abandoned and I liked that the thing that reached Akito wasn't Tohru's kindness per say cause she's always had kindness from Kureno but Akito seeing herself in Tohru. I liked that it led her to realize what a terrible person she's been and how she's always spit in the face of Kureno's kindness and that it was Momiji and Tohru together that told her that there would always be room for forgiveness. I can't decide if this means that Akito is redeemed for all that she has done but I think there is room for repentance if Akito so wishes it. I do have to say that Kyo is still such an idiot for staying away especially after being so close to losing her and I don't exactly love the fact that Tohru will have to chase him again after being hurt but I think part of me would be glad to see her chase what she wants for once cause up to this point Tohru has always put the needs and wants of others before her. I just hope that the general audience doesn't turn on Kyo like I'm afraid they will cause they need to know that he's struggling too!

Superman & Lois Season 1 Episode 8

I want to start this review by saying I'm a little stunned with how good of an actor the kid playing Jon is. I mean seriously he's 19 and still is acting circles around half of the adult actors I've seen. His entire face during the scene where Lois opened up to him about losing Natalie was the actual reason I lost it and cried and I loved how fiercely he hugged her as if he could protect her from the world. This show is seriously leagues ahead of any other superhero show I've watched about family and I can't decide if it's the acting, writing, or directing but I think it's a little of all it. I was surprised at how quickly we sort of dealt with John Henry Irons and also that he left and sort of reconciled with Superman. I really wanted him to crash at the Kents like Jon made it sound cause it really would have been the funniest scenario but I guess he's leaving so we can focus on Morgan Edge and so he can make a triumph return later. Speaking of Morgan Edge it seems like he's actually putting Kryptonian sentience into human hosts and I don't entirely like that cause it gives off the vibe that all the Kryptonians are bad and want to enslave Earths. Sarah's whole thing also broke my heart a little cause if the Kents are the perfect example of a loving family, her's is a great example of a broken one. I don't even know how much of Sarah wanted to perform again but clearly she loved the attention her dad was giving her and spending time with him and it broke my heart the way she told him not to get her hopes up again.

Why does next week feel like a finale even though we know that this show has 15 episodes scheduled to air? Like nothing about this week felt like anything more than a middle of the season episode but the promo seems to be indicating that we're about to fight Edge which kinda is a good thing cause it will clearly cause people to tune in!

My Hero Academia Season 5 Episode 11

So we officially wrapped up the class competitions this week with Deku's team winning and with that Class A won on the whole thing having only lost one competition and tieing in another. The interesting part of this week was the fact that Deku was able to control the dark whips for a minute or so cause he was able to calm his heart down enough to use them. The sucky thing though was that naturally he discovered that he can't actually use the power without really hurting himself so he has to save it until he's mastered One For All though I imagine like with One For All Deku will use it when he's desperate uncaring of the toll it'll take on him. I am assuming though that with this class competition being over that maybe we'll return to Endeavor and Hawks next week but I guess I'm most curious to know how our kids will end up involved cause duh they can't just be on the sidelines the whole time!

What Shows Am I Watching This Week?

Hello everyone and welcome back! Let's dive right in shall we?

Legends Of Tomorrow Season 6 Episode 4

Even though I've been watching this show for six seasons now, I still manage to forget sometimes just how batshit insane it really is. I mean what other show can you say solves a nuclear crisis by playing football with the nuclear launch codes suitcase? We landed in 1962 this week in the middle of the Cuban Missile Crisis cause Mick found the alien that kidnapped Sara. The Cubans thought that it was an American attack so they launched a missile at America and the American counterintelligence wanted to launch a missile back which is where Nate and Zari came in as they tried to get JFK to not. It was interesting seeing Nate and Zari team up and that the show actually touched on the whole Zari 2.0 looking like Zari 1.0 but I have to say that I'm not entirely sure the show put that relationship to bed. Idk maybe it's cause Tala Ashe could have literal chemistry with a wall but like something about the look they shared when Nate told Zari that she reminds him of herself and not Zari 1.0 felt like there could be more. I know this show doesn't exactly do love triangles and I definitely still do ship Zari 2.0 with Constantine but I wouldn't mind some drama in that realm. Speaking of chemistry Mick and Kayla shared some and I can't wait to see what comes of that. We didn't see any Sara this week but I'm sure we will catch up to her next week.

So there's no new episode next week cause of Memorial Day so we have to wait two weeks to see the next one which super sucks! The promo kinda looks like we'll be doing a bottle episode in which we spend most of it watching Astra adjust to life on Earth which honestly doesn't sound all that great given I don't really care about her... I do hope if this is the case then we get to see a lot of Zari and Constantine!

Fruits Basket Season 3 Episode 8

Well we finally got all the answers we wanted and I'm totally heartbroken over it! Poor Kyo deserves the biggest hug and I want to curse everyone who ever mistreated him. As I suspected he wasn't actually the reason for Kyoko's death and really all that happened was that he wasn't able to stop her from being hit but because of everything he had been through he saw it as another reason to hate himself. The poor guy was inches from killing himself and he used hatred of Yuki as a way to go on which is why he was so ready to pick fights with Yuki when he first showed up in season 1. He thinks that Kyoko told him that she would never forgive him for letting her die but like Tohru I doubt that's what she said. I have a feeling that Kyoko said something more like I'll never forgive you if you don't keep your man's promise to protect Tohru. I loved that Tohru listened to all this and decided that none of it mattered and that she would go against her mom for the first time. Kyo didn't seem ready to hear it and he definitely screwed way the hell up by telling her that he was disappointed in her when he said that nothing she could ever do would but I mean what can you expect from teenagers? Akito showed up at the end looking ready to kill Tohru as well and if she does stabble Tohru then I wonder if that will be the thing to force Kyo into deciding that nothing but his love for Tohru matters.

The Flash Season 7 Episode 11

I've never been more thankful that this season has decided to do pods cause if I had to hear these five strangers call each other family one more time I was going to vomit all over my laptop. I mean seriously we don't need to go into it again cause I definitely said my fair share last week but I just want it to be known that I rolled my eyes so hard that I gave myself a headache several times throughout this hour. Nora's return to the light was totally ridiculous and made no sense and I still don't understand why she thought that murder was the right answer when clearly love was *gag* but it led to Barry and Iris deciding that now was the perfect time to try for kids which made me laugh. I do wonder if Bart who's supposed to be coming later this season will end up being their son but I really hope that the show sticks with grandson cause if he was their son then it would feel like a retread of the whole Nora West-Allen thing from a few seasons ago. In other news I was really confused with the return of Frost cause I thought the show was writing her off and Danielle Panabaker didn't help things by writing a whole Instagram post about saying goodbye when not only did Frost cameo this week but it looks like she got out on probation also making her whole sacrifice feel kinda meaningless. Was this a rewrite? Or another Flashpoint situation?

So no Flash next week but the promo for two weeks from now shows us that it'll be Cisco's farewell episode and I'm not exactly thrilled about losing him but then again the actor has seemed done with this whole thing for seasons now given how he barely appears in this show and how he hasn't really had a storyline for ages like Caitlin does.

Superman & Lois Season 1 Episode 7

Ahhh so we're not actually doing the whole Red Sun storyline thing where Lois actually marries Lex Luthor since Kal-El is the bad guy in that universe cause as we find out Captain Luthor isn't a Lex from another world like I thought he was. He is in fact John Henry Irons aka Steel who is one of the many Supermen we get in the Reign Of Superman comic storyline and that's definitely interesting though I don't know if that's more interesting or less so than him being a Lex. At least we know that eventually he'll join the good guys given that he is a hero in the comics? I am curious about how much he remembers about his final moments in that warehouse and whether he remembers the boys or Lois showing up or if he was too terrified of Clark coming towards him. I do really want to know what happened in his world and why Clark shifted sides cause it seems that in his world Clark was Superman for a while only to change sides and I can't help but feel like that must mean that some sort of brainwashing or Kryptonite ex-machina was involved. I also really liked that Lois and Clark told the boys everything and I really liked them saving Clark making me wish that the show would go full sidekick sooner than later! I need Jordan suited up as Superboy like yesterday!!! In other news we still don't know what Edge wants or who he's working with but we do know that he's looking for test subjects in Smallville and sending the X-Kryptonite out.

I hope we finally get answers next week about what happened on Irons' world cause it seems like a large chunk of the episode will be spent talking to him in the DOD prison.

My Hero Academia Season 5 Episode 10

Ooh man this week's episode was so cool!!!! We didn't actually get much in terms of the fight of 1A v 1B cause the whole thing was taken over by Deku unlocking a new part of his One For All. As I suspected weeks ago when we first heard about it, One For All has reached it's final singularity so it's at it's most evolved form in Deku which means that rather than enhancing the user's quirk (or basically giving super strength to those without a quirk like Deku and All Might) it can now basically give the user each of the quirks that the past 8 successors used only powered up. Deku met one of those past users and he learned that the black whips that he released by accident was the quirk of that user and that's honestly the coolest thing ever. He's basically got like multiple quirks now and though it does feel a bit like cheating, I'm really curious about how he'll be able to hide it now. Will he have to reveal that he's got One For All or are people really just going to think these new quirks are just an evolved form of his same quirk cause unless all the past users have a strength based quirk then it'll be hard to convince people.

What Shows Am I Watching This Week?

Hello everyone and welcome back! Let's dive right in shall we?

Legends Of Tomorrow Season 6 Episode 3

This episode was everything and it can completely be chalked up to the fact that it was focused on Zari and Constantine who are not only my favorite ship in this show currently but also Zari's my fav so there's that! I had a feeling going into this week that whatever was going on would cause Zari and Constantine to focus on their own relationship and decide what they were. I mean the two were so adamant that they were only hooking up last time we saw them and it felt very much like they were overcompensating and that's exactly what happened. I think it was truly genius of the show to pair up Zari and Constantine given that while on the surface they seem like complete opposites, when you look closer you see the two are the same. They both struggle with loving themselves and believing that others would care for them and cause of that they've had a string of failed relationships. I thought it was interesting that it was Constantine that took the first step but I was glad that he did cause it led to them performing together beautifully and accepting that they want to be boyfriend and girlfriend. In other news Sara accidentally stumbled into the lair of whoever wanted to buy her and he's got a man bun which if that doesn't sum him up then I don't know what will!

Next week looks like we're traveling back to the past again and hunting down Kayla which is one of the best things that Mick has come up with all season so far!

Fruits Basket Season 3 Episode 7

Dudes there's no way that Kureno is dead is there??? There's no way that Akito actually murders a member of the zodiac and still gets redemption right? I don't care that the show did the whole metaphor thing by showing us Uo looking at a dead sparrow cause I refuse to believe it until we see a funeral or his dead body next week! The funny thing is that every time we focus on Akito and what a terrible childhood she had I always feel pity and start to want good things for her only for Akito to royally screw them up and make me regret ever feeling that pity. We learn that Ren seduced Akira as his servant and then hated Akito cause she took Akira's attention away from her which was the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard but it was cause of her that Akito clung so hard to the zodiacs and became such a terrible person. I still don't know what is breaking the bonds though and it's driving me crazy cause this week we see that it was Hiro that lost his connection and I'm sitting here like but why?? On the other hand shout out to his mom who we already knew was the MVP of zodiac parents but continues to shine every single moment she has. I'm also curious about whether Tohru was about to confess to Kyo and whether he'll tell both her and us the audience about what happened given that it was confirmed that this season will only have 13 episodes meaning that everything needs to be wrapped up in the next 6!

The Flash Season 7 Episode 10

This episode was rough with a capital R and I'm not sure if the problems of this episode were highlighted cause I watched it after Superman & Lois or if it's a problem I have with this season on a whole but seriously guys it was roooooough. I cannot wrap my head around what this season is about. Like it was bad enough that this show started it's big main couple off as adoptive siblings but now they're parents to 4 different Forces that they metaphorically birthed? Last week when the show made that joke I thought it was nothing more than a joke but this week they've seriously doubled down on this fact by having the Forces call Barry and Iris mom and dad and it's creepy as all hell. I also don't love the way the show is rushing Alexa and the Strength Force connecting. I liked that Caitlin called out the fact that the situation was similar to her and Frost but we saw Caitlin and Frost process their bond over almost 4 seasons while Alexa and Fuerza are friends after 30 minutes? Spare me please. It also doesn't help that I don't understand what Nora wants or why. If it's so easy to reason with the other Forces then why was her plan of attack to kill first? And seriously which of the Forces even care enough about her for her to be so scared of them? I also really can't find it in me to care about Cisco moving away but it does look like maybe his new job will be at ARGUS? At least that'll give the Arrowverse a way to bring him back like Diggle and Lyla who also are at ARGUS.

Are we really about to deal with Nora on the whole next week? I guess I didn't realize but the new showrunner for Flash has changed the way Flash is written so like Agents Of SHIELD we will be doing little pods or as this show likes to call it graphic novels in which we deal with several storylines across one season. I guess that's fine cause tbh the only thing I'm looking forward to this season is Jordan Fisher who's going to play Bart Allen so once this Nora thing wraps up I can look forward to him!

Superman & Lois Season 1 Episode 6

We're finally back and I was high key thrilled about it cause this show is still as incredibly well written as I remember it to be! It will never be my favorite of the Arrowverse which is a honor that went to Arrow and now Legends but it's still really good. Last time we saw Tag show up again upset and sure that Jordan had something to do with his new powers and this week we saw him attack Jordan and then ask Sarah if she knew what Jordan was. Though he didn't get the answers he was looking for he did ended up activating something in Jordan so now his powers are much stronger than they were before. He's having migraines and seizures and is unable to control his heat vision and ended up breaking Jon's arm possibly to the degree that he might never get his full range of motion back which super sucks but I am glad that Jordan is finally seeing the consequences to his powers cause no matter how much Clark talked about it he didn't see that it was a problem until now. I loved Clark's speech about trust and how every time he uses his powers it's another test of trust cause it's so true and I love that this show is touching on those darker themes in Superman without going Synderverse dark with it. Meanwhile Lana and Lois are going to team up to find dirt on Edge and Lois found out about the X-Kryptonite in the Smallville mines but more importantly is realizing that Luthor isn't a good person. I have a feeling she'll be the one to discover his truth and it makes me laugh cause this show really is relegating Clark to just being a dad who sometimes goes out to punch things rather than the one hunting mysteries and stuff.

Wow the promo for next week looks so good you guys!! Clark and Luthor are finally going to meet up but I'm more excited about Jordan and Jon possibly saving the day!

My Hero Academia Season 5 Episode 9

Class A really beat Class B in 5 minutes and I was pretty excited about it even though I knew it was coming. I mean seriously there was no way that Katsuki would lose but I'm kinda glad that it ended so quickly so we can move on to Deku. I want to see him show off how much he's improved and I'm really curious if his weird new thing is related to Shinso at all or whether Shinso's powers will open up a better link between Deku and the past One For All users. I do have to say that he does have one of the lamest teams of the group cause I've never thought that the purple guy was useful and the show doesn't use Mina's powers all the well but I suppose Ochaco can hold her own sometimes even if she's been relegated to the girl having a crush on Deku for seasons now. I mean the last time we saw her be badass was during the tournament right?
