What Shows Am I Watching This Week?

Hello everyone and welcome back! Let's dive right in shall we?

FINISHED Poldark Season 5 Episode 7 and 8

Wow for some reason Poldark decided to air it's penultimate and finale back to back so let's jump in and talk about not only the end of the season but the series in general! I have to admit I'm more saddened by the loss of this show than I thought I would be. I've always been on the fence about whether or not I enjoy this show cause I've always felt like unlike many period dramas, this one tended to showcase our main couple falling in and out of love which is honestly just sad to watch but looking back over the past five seasons it makes sense cause love is ever changing and it's not as easy as tv and movies make it out to be. It requires work and sacrifice and was there ever a couple that embedded this more than Ross and Demelza? The finale was hard to watch cause Ross continued to lie to Demelza about his working with the French and she thought he fell in love with Tess which was the worst person for Ross to pick after everything she did this season but the 180 turn after Demelza figured out the truth and saved Ross's ass was perfection. You could see the fear in his eyes when Demelza showed up at the house and the sheer relief later when she forgave him for everything. It was especially lovely seeing that George stepped up and actually helped cause despite everything, he's not the monster that the other two were and you could see it in his eyes every time one of them planned another murder. I still low key wish that he had given Trenwith back to Geoffrey Charles as it should have been his in the first place as the eldest son since George isn't planning on ever coming back since it is haunted by Elizabeth but that might be asking too much from George's heart. Caroline and Dwight also solved their problems and I'm so glad that Caroline explained her sudden bout of jealously about Kitty as a means for her to keep him at arms length cause I've been saying for weeks that he doesn't seem to be treating Kitty any special way and it was strange of Caroline to fear it but I'd like to imagine now that they've fixed their problems that they'll have a child too that can play with Ross and Demelza's newest! I will miss this insane show and the wonderful chemistry between Aidan and Eleanor and I can't wait to see what else they work in!

FINISHED Young Justice Season 3 Episode 24, 25 and 26

I really should pay attention to airdates cause, like Poldark, I had no idea that the final three episodes of season 3 were airing back to back this week but I'm not complaining cause more tv is great for me! Anyway let's dive in and talk about how season 3 ended! Let's start with the elephant in the room that was Wally West. Guys I cried and cried and cried thinking that this really was the end of Wally and Artemis cause like Artemis I believed that she had entered Limbo and met the spirit of Wally which is why I was heartbroken at the idea that he would never return! But in the end it turned out that M'gann and Zatana faked the whole thing so instead of giving me closure like the episode wanted, I'm still holding out hope but I'm also so so relieved that Artemis and Will didn't get together. Like I don't mind Artemis moving on (and hoping that as soon as she does Wally comes back so all the drama ensues) but Will is her brother-in-law and that's creepy! I loved the way Cyborg and Halo kicked ass and defeated Granny and it's kind of hilarious cause last week I really thought that it would be harder for our heroes to defeat Anti-Life but I totally forgot that Cyborg is a father-box so of course he'd be OP! As I also suspected we didn't get to Darkseid cause we focused back on Earth problems and the Light though as always, the heroes got a small win while behind-the-scenes, the Light won out in my opinion. I was stunned beyond measure when Brion suddenly went power-mad and was assuming that his advisor would be a Martian or some sort of telepath controlling Brion and the people but was confused as to why M'gann couldn't pick it up. I was right about the whole telepathy thing and I'm assuming M'gann didn't figure it out so we could get to this point. Lex was also ousted from the UN and the League, Batman Inc, Young Justice and the Outsiders are recombining under the authority of Black Lightning which isn't the biggest win but feels like a win to me. I'm assuming that Nightwing will lead Young Justice and Superboy will lead the Outsiders (still wishing it was called Teen Titans!) but part of me just dislikes this version of Black Lightning with his holier than thou attitude so I'm not thrilled he's in charge but I'll get over it.

As we know from SDCC 2019, there will be a season 4 for Young Justice though we don't know anything about when or what it'll be about. Maybe we'll finally battle Darkseid? I assume we'll also have to deal with the Brion stuff but overall I'm just hoping that the next season will be much more simplified in terms of story. Though it all came together at the end, I felt like this season just had too many storylines to juggle and with the way it aired, I kept finding myself feeling like I was forgetting something so hopefully next season does better! It also doesn't help that there's a million characters now so I hope the show does better with balancing screen time for them.

Astra Lost In Space Episode 9

Well shit. That's all I could think of as this episode came to a close! We learned so much and so many reveals took place that my mind is straight up blown! Let's start at the top and work our way through. We finally figured out what the reasoning behind sending our whole crew to their deaths was and it was the fact that everyone on board was a clone of their so-called parents which is totally and completely insane! I said last week that the clues were all there but I couldn't figure out how they fit together and now that the cloning thing has been explained, suddenly everything is crystal clear. It explains why every person on this ship had a terrible relationship with their parents and why none of those parents were upset to lose their kid in space. The only thing this reveal didn't do was explain Aries who is still the outlier in the group cause her mom was the only parent to love her and the whole Seira thing. I wonder if maybe she was actually a clone of Seira who was given up for adoption without her adoptive mom knowing the truth and that it was a situation where she was created to give organs to a sick Seira. We never did get a proper timeline when Charce was explaining his backstory. It's possible Seira was always sick or that she fell when she was younger so it would give Aries time to grow up or that Seira was older than Charce making Aries and Charce the same age. On the other hand maybe Aries is still Seira with amnesia and replaced memories due to Zack's father as a beta test of a sort with or without the clone part. We also saw Quitterie and Zack announce their marriage to the crew and it was definitely a lighthearted moment we needed in between two major announcements and I loved how the whole crew was just as stunned as we all were to find out that Zack was in love with Quitterie this whole time. The other huge shock was the reveal that Polina is actually from Earth but our whole crew is from a planet called Astra. I knew there had to be more to Polina and what happened to her but she was only in ice for 12 years so maybe there just were two planets with humans on them cause otherwise 12 years is too short of a time to move everyone on Earth over to Astra or to make the people of Astra forget that their planet used to be called Earth before some big world changing event.

Fruits Basket (2019) Season 1 Episode 22

Surprisingly we got another episode for Hana this week that explained more of her backstory and though I know I said last week that the episode felt like filler and I didn't like Uo's backstory, I actually ended up really enjoying Hana's. I think it had to do with the fact that it was just so heartbreaking and sad! I mean poor Hana not only had to fight with being unable to control her wave power but she also got bullied practically her entire life. Children are honestly the worst and it was so hard to watch Hana think that she killed someone and that she needed to be punished for the rest of her life because of it! It was a much darker reason than I expected for why Hana wore black all the time and honestly it makes me appreciate her even more. I was also surprised to find out that her wave power was like legit mind reading rather than more of a comedic thing like in the 2001 anime. It was also the first time we met Hana's parents and I have to say, her whole family was honestly so sweet. They clearly love her so much despite everything and I don't know why but I totally expected her parents to dislike her and her powers but maybe that's just cause she reminds me of the Sohmas and all of their parents hate them so I just kind of expected it from Hana's too. Megumi is such a sweetheart too and it was so sweet of him to wear black all the time just to support Hana too. Tohru was once again basically an angel that appeared out of nowhere to show others that the world isn't as dark as it seems and it just makes her relationship with Yuki and Kyo all the more important cause where she has been a guiding light for others, they are one for her. 

Honestly I don't even know what we'll get next week cause I expected Kyo's true form arc to start now but maybe it'll start next week? All I know is that we've only got 3 episodes remaining this season and I also don't know when the next season comes out!

What Shows Am I Watching This Week?

FINISHED Deadly Class Season 1

This was a really unique show to watch that kept me glued to the edge of my seat pretty much the whole time but it was really hard to review since this show was actually cancelled after one season so we're left unsatisfied with what we watched. I originally started this show cause I saw gifs of Lana Condor on Tumblr and I was curious what show she was in after loving her in To All The Boys I've Loved Before but ironically it was Maria's character that I fell in love with instead. The idea for this show was so damn unique cause like how many other shows are about murders and teaching kids to kill? I loved the whole school setting but I low key wish we had more classes and missions though I was satisfied with the amount of kills. The only downside was that Willie as interesting as he was at first being a closet-pacifist at an assassin school ended up being such a wet blanket and I got so tired of listening to him talk about how he was better than the others cause he refused to kill. Despite that I loved all the other characters and the little family they built. Marcus was a fantastic lead cause he was the perfect amount of sociopath but also kind and I totally shipped him with Maria even though it was pretty obvious that if this show had gone on, Saya would have been his endgame cause he honestly just treated her better. Maria felt like someone he was with cause he needed love in his life and he really didn't care about her or her troubles especially in the penultimate episode where he chose to be with Saya over her. If anyone understood the guilt Maria felt about killing Chico, a man who she loved with all her heart at one point in her life, it would have been Marcus cause of what he went through after he killed someone for the first time so it just sucked that he seemed to just generally be annoyed by her. Chester was low key the worst antagonist cause he just straight freaked me out tbh but it all worked out cause there was Gao who was both understandable and totally savage.

Like I mentioned up top, this show got cancelled after one season which sucks cause the cast was diverse, the story was unique and I was super fascinated by everything but apparently no one watched this show so Syfy said no to another season.

Poldark Season 5 Episode 6

On today's episode of Ross Is An Idiot, fortunately he was stopped from breaking Ned out of jail before he did true damage to his family and his reputation. Look I've never been a fan of Ned and I've made it just as clear as Dwight has but regardless of that, his whole circumstance was horrible and another instance of when the rich win out. Thankfully he was just hanged and not all that other horrible stuff. It's also low key ridiculous the public isn't up in arms cause a man who literally shot at the King was sent to a mental facility while Ned who apparently talked about a revolt was hanged. I'm also low key hoping that we just don't go back to London cause the politics in the city are too evil for my taste and make me long for the days of Poldark where mining was the biggest concern. Also shoutout to Dwight who actually got up on the stand and called Ned insane. Live your best life Dwight! George also got his this week when he not only had to reap the effects of taking the side of slavery in Parliament but also when he tried to marry Cecily only to have her tell him that she slept with Geoffrey Charles making her "spoiled goods." For half a second I wondered if he'd be like I don't care cause I already have an heir in Valentine so what good is another one but I think he was pretty against marrying someone who wasn't Elizabeth anyway so the smallest hiccup was a perfect excuse. Despite everything that I hate about George, his undying love for Elizabeth is just so sweet. I'm not sure how Geoffrey Charles and Cecily can have a happy ending unless her father dies but I can't entirely see the show doing that. Back in Cornwall, we find out that someone has been stealing from the mines and it turns out to be the same people who have consistently been a thorn in Demelza's side all season. I'm assuming that they're the ones who knock out Ross and throw him in that pit cause other than them, George and Cecily's father are out for blood but they don't seem to like to get their hands dirty in quite that way. Kidnapping someone feels like a commonfolk thing tbh.

Next week is the penultimate episode and it looks like shit will be hitting the fan. Ross is missing, George and co are pissed about something, Geoffrey Charles is beaten to an inch of his life, and Caroline is worried that George might be into Kitty. It also looks like the same people who captured Ross might target Demelza and Sam and Drake too and honestly I can't wait!

Young Justice Season 3 Episode 23

Wow talk about a throwback. Dick's fever dream brought back the version of Young Justice that was my favorite and Wally was there which makes it even better. I think it's honestly so sweet how much Wally and Dick loved each other and I will never lose heart in my hope that Wally will be back at some point cause this show has literally played with every comic trope except for the multiverse and the speed force so eventually when it needs something new, I believe in Wally's return! It's also super crazy cause Granny has literally an all powerful mind control device that I can't see any flaws in right now. She's enslaved a large portion of the League as well as a lot of the others heroes so now the only ones left are the Outsiders and some of the League back on Earth. I feel like the only way to stop all this will be to take the mind control thing off of Violet but Granny keeps her so close that I don't know if there will be any chance of separating the two when even a psychic blast from M'gann didn't help. I did find it funny though that Vandal Savage was the one to give intel cause like I guessed last week, he's obviously not thrilled about Darkseid getting a mind control device and at the very least in the next few episodes, we won't have to worry about the Light's politics cause they'll obviously want the League and the heroes to help. I assume that since this is the case, Granny will end up being our final boss rather than Darkseid or the Light who will probs have to be saved for later. We also got a little more of Jefferson pouting around Earth being sad about all the lies he had to deal with and I was like way over it. Build a bridge and get over it already. The show claims that Gar is still upset too but we didn't see it and he texted M'gann back so my headcanon is that he's pretty much over it cause he can see the bigger picture.

Astra Lost In Space Episode 8

What a great episode! We're still learning all sorts of new things every week and I'm consistently impressed with how into this anime I still am cause most of the time shows end up starting good and then I get bored but I've been into this show from start to finish. In fact it was some of the earlier episodes that I was kinda meh about before I fell in love! The woman we saved last week is actually an adult not a teen like I first thought and she's definitely for sure hiding something as well. She seemed shocked that 12 years had passed without something happening and I'm assuming that something was related to the end of the world cause why else send out a research team looking for new inhabitable planets? I'm still trying to connect why these kids had to suffer but like the more we learn about their parents, the more I just feel so bad for them! Zack's father is researching memory replacement and he clearly hates Zack but like is that better or worse than a parent like Yunha's who emotionally abuses her? We also learned that Funicia is a clone of Quitterie and I can't remember what Quitterie's mom does besides the fact that she's a doctor and works with Zack's dad. If Quitterie's mom can clone people and Zack's dad can replace memories, what kind of crazy schemes can they come up with? We also know Luca's dad is into genetics and I feel like the pieces are all there but I just can't put them together! On a more lighthearted note, I was dying when Quitterie confessed that she wants to marry Zack and he was like well yeah we promised when we were kids and she was like dude we were kids. Zack's not the most expressive but I do have to admit it was super sweet that he told her he loved her. I'm also still waiting to learn more about Aires cause we know something's not right with her and next week is the last planet we need to visit so things need to start coming together!

Fruits Basket (2019) Season 1 Episode 21

As I thought it was Hana's episode this week and unfortunately it felt just as much like a filler episode that the 2001 version was making this review kind of hard cause I was pretty much meh through the whole thing and feeling meh about an episode doesn't exactly lead to a good discussion. Yuki's fanclub is just too much for me to handle tbh but it was kind of hilarious seeing Hana and Megumi scare them. It's interesting that they're so upset about Tohru taking up all of Yuki's attention but like the ironic thing is that she talks to him like a human being rather than watching him from afar so of course he's kind to her. He even talks to Hana and Uo and like again cause they treat him like a person and the saddest thing is that if they had given Yuki even the slightest kindness, he would have remembered it being as affection-starved as he was. I also really liked that this episode touched on Hana's jealously and insecurity over Tohru being so close to the Sohmas cause it's true that Tohru's been spending all her time with them but the thing is that Tohru would never make Hana feel sad if she knew it and if Hana told Tohru that she sometimes feels neglected, Tohru would definitely try to change that! It was an interesting fear cause everyone feels like that in their lives, thinking that they care for someone more than that person does whether it's romantic or platonic. On another note, I'm going to die if Kyo is relegated to side character for another episode! It feels like we spent so much time with Tohru and Yuki that he's been pushed to the side and that sucks cause he's my favorite Sohma!

I'm not sure what next week's episode will be but I'm assuming that it'll be the start of Kyo's true form arc cause I think he said something about being happy in the 2001 version during the rain at the start of that arc. We've got 4 episodes left of season 1!

Poldark Season 5 Episode 5

Can we take a moment to talk about what a complete badass Caroline is? I feel like she doesn't get the shoutout or screen time she deserves but she is extremely cunning and intelligent and I loved how she was able to have those men sign saying that they found nothing in Ross's house so that they couldn't lie later and say they found that pamphlet in order to arrest Ross. I still don't know why she feels like Dwight is into Kitty but despite that I loved that she convinced him to return to Ross's side cause if she didn't, Ross would have been screwed. On another note at least Ross has FINALLY figured out that Ned is bomb waiting to explode and honestly it's about time cause Ross is smarter than this! Of course Ned is being charged for treason cause he's been running around shouting about how the King is mad and that his veto is insane so there's not going to be any scarcity in finding any witnesses. The new villain was weirdly revealed this week and since he's a new character, I'm not sure why we had to go through all that cloak-and-dagger before. Demelza also kicked ass back in Cornwall too even though I low-key wished that she would have gotten Tess arrested. The way she spoke at the tavern was incredible and I was screaming when she told them that forgery was a hanging offense. Take that Tess you asshole. She's literally just ornery for no reason like George back in season 1 who hated Ross for just being Ross before they did evil things to each other. Also Morwenna and Drake tried to kidnap Morwenna's child only to give up in the end and now I think they'll have a child of their own cause it feels like Morwenna saying that she's finally ready to love Drake is pretty much like I'm ready now.

UGH ROSS YOU MORON. I'm seriously ready for something horrible to happen to Ross next week cause I'm about to strangle him for continuously making terrible decisions. It's time to throw the towel in on Ned cause he's a lost case! On another note poor Geoffrey Charles looks like he was beaten and George is the damn worst cause after everything he's been through how could he begrudge another's love? Especially when he doesn't want to get married anyway??

Young Justice Season 3 Episode 22

This episode should have been called the truth comes out for the amount of secrets that were revealed in these 30 minutes!!! Between everyone finding out about the different teams being connected and Jace's evil plan, I was fascinated. Honestly it was about time everything came out cause we're nearing the end of this season and it's time to start wrapping things up. It was a little strange that Jefferson was the one to completely lose it about all the secrecy cause if anyone had the right to complain it should have been Gar but I actually really loved that pretty much everyone regardless of whether they agreed or not with what happened was like well what else is new cause it's Batman duh. I'm curious if Jefferson was accidentally brainwashed in the pit leading to his overreaction and it would explain why Dick was so destroyed by the pit while Jefferson was fine unless it was the fact that Dick was human. I don't love that this is what caused Tara to pick Slade over the heroes cause it's not like the secrecy affected her in any way unlike what Jace and Ultra Humanite did but then again she doesn't know that Slade is working with the Light so I get it. I was also low key confused about what Granny Goodness was doing but like in the end it's a new way to brainwash people and that's all we really need to know plus the fact that Vandal Savage isn't thrilled with this new method cause it puts us humans at a disadvantage. Maybe this season will end with the Light joining forces with the heroes to defeat Darkseid. I'm still high key waiting for Wally to come back and speaking of, Artemis wasn't around this week and I wonder if that's on purpose cause other than Halo and Brion, Tara was the closest to Artemis so if she was here, would Tara have hesitated more?

Astra Lost In Space Episode 7

This episode felt so different from others probs cause of the ending and it makes me even more curious to see what happens in this show. I wonder if this blonde woman we found is going to join our crew cause she's not in the main cast but I can't see them just leaving her here. I also wonder if maybe though this Astra ship isn't working either if they can maybe take parts and fix their own ship. What are the chances that the same parts broke in both ships? It's the only real way I can think of fixing the problem and getting us back to space cause there's no way that our story ends here when we haven't learned anything yet! We got Charce's backstory now and it feels like Aries is the only one left who hasn't really said what led her to all of this but I don't think it's a coincidence that Charce's friend Seira looks like Aries. Though in the flashbacks we didn't see what color hair she had, the length and look was very similar and in Charce's shadow-y photo the hair did look pink so that's throwing up some major red flags for me. What if Seira woke up a little while ago but lost her memory and her parents hating what happened to her changed her name to give her a new life? I low key want to go back and rewatch earlier episodes to see if I missed anything or if Charce ever acted kind of strange around Seira. 

FINISHED Krypton Season 2 Episode 10

What an epic finale! I loved almost everything that happened and only one story was a little strange. We finally defeated Dru Zod and I loved that his downfall was his inability to know what the people of Krypton needed. It's always been his fatal flaw cause Kryptonians aren't like him no matter what he believes and Superman isn't soft. I loved Seg's speech about how Dru was taking away the most important thing about Kryptonians which is their spirit and that Lyta was able to get all the Sagitari back and it was everything watching Dru trying to get the Sagitari to do what he wanted only to see that no one was listening to him. I also love the idea of him being put in the Black Mercy as a way to keep him sedated cause it's true that no prison could really hold him for long. I wondered if hed' stay there until Krypton explodes but I have a feeling at some point in a future season, our heroes might be like let's wake him up cause we need him to help us against *insert villain here* cause duh. I was right last week in saying that Adam was paralyzed after those rocks fell on him but the weird leg contraption is definitely not what I thought Val would come up with to fix him but part of me still thinks that we'll find a better method by next season. Lobo was back too and amazing as always and as I thought he's going to play a bigger role in next season where we will be hunting down Brainiac to get Jor El back. Speaking of, Nyssa's jump to Rann was the one thing I didn't love this season. Not only does it separate her from the cast (at least for the beginning of the next season I'm guessing) but I'm guessing her plan was to find Sardath, who built the Zeta tech, and ask him to help her get to Brainiac but it looks like Rann is in the middle of some sort of war so maybe the best plan is for her to return to Krypton quickly so that she can catch Seg and Lobo before they leave. It looks like Brainiac is trying to get to Earth and calling Jor his son which is weird.

Unfortunately as I finished writing this review, I just found out that Krypton was cancelled and that sucks so much cause I do think Krypton doesn't get nearly the amount of love it deserves since it's definitely one of the best written superhero shows on tv with hands down the best makeup department and I wish more people had checked it out but it looks like we'll be saying goodbye to this one.

Fruits Basket (2019) Season 1 Episode 20

It was Hiro's episode this week and man oh man do I adore him. He's a bit of a brat of course but can you blame him after everything that happened? He loves Kisa so much and all he ever wanted was to make her happy and even after everything and how jealous he gets around Tohru, he still attempted to spend time with them just so he could be with Kisa. I think the true blame lies with Akito who I literally cannot understand why everyone keeps forgiving him for all the things he's done. I feel like Akito for some reason wants every member of the zodiac to belong to him and him alone so when the zodiacs fall in love, he gets furious and attacks the person who took the attention away from him. It's especially horrible this time around cause Hiro and Kisa are like 11 or 12 so the fact that Hiro knew about his feelings and wanted to tell Akito about them only for Akito to attack poor Kisa was horrific. They're children and Akito who's supposed to be a grown adult couldn't stand that a 12 year old had a crush? Get a life Akito. I also understand why Hiro stayed away after what happened cause if even Hatori had no idea how to move on from what happened with Kana, how could we expect a child to do anything different? He thought he was protecting Kisa when if he had probably asked her, she wouldn't have wanted him to stay away at all no matter how much pain she was in. 

It feels like based on the title for next week that we'll be touching on Hana's backstory or at least have a Hana centric one. I think there's supposed to be 25 episodes in total and if Hana gets two episodes like Uo did, then we have three to deal with Kyo if we're following the 2001 timeline of events.

Poldark Season 5 Episode 3

So much happened this week but it's honestly so relaxing to have our whole cast back in Cornwall. I honestly prefer the wide sweeping countryside to the packed quarters in London if I'm being truthful and not just cause I prefer the smaller problems that can be solved hands-on. It still drives me mad that the commonfolk always bite the hand that feeds them rather than the hand that's punishing them. I can't believe they blamed Ross and Demelza for first not allowing children into the mines when they know well and clear how dangerous it is and then blamed them again for George's mine collapsing. Like damn pick a side. They know that George and Ross don't get along so on what planet would Ross have any say in what happens at that mine? I still find it sad that in this world Elizabeth could pass Poldark lands and mine to George and that Geoffrey Charles has to suffer with whatever George can manage to pass on cause it seems strange that Poldark lands shouldn't pass to the eldest Poldark heir when their is on. Unless of course it does all belong to Geoffrey Charles and George is only holding it until Geoffrey Charles is of age. Cause like otherwise does Geoffrey Charles even have a trust fund? Is he dirt poor man with only a good aristocratic name? I'm on Dwight's side when he commented about Ned being a terrible influence on Ross and like I said last week though part of me wants George to stay mad so that he no longer can be a thorn in the side of Ross, part of me also hopes that Dwight can cure him and make George an ally rather than a foe. I was low key hoping and praying that Hanson would catch on to what's going on with George cause then he could just leave cause he's the worst.

Next week it looks like Ross will be attempting to buy George's mine for himself and though that's probably a good idea in the long term cause I think that mine is still doing better than Ross's is right now, it'll probably cost a fortune to buy and I don't think Ross has that money to spare. It also looks like Dwight will be attempting to help George but he somehow comes upon Ned making me think that George's mental condition will get out.

Young Justice Season 3 Episode 20

Honestly this felt like such a strange episode but the only reason for this was cause it was meant to be a quiet look at the lives of our characters outside of their crime fighting and though I didn't really feel a need to follow Harper who's a character I don't really care for, the rest was really interesting. I liked that we finally got around to Victor and his Father Box conundrum but even more hilarious was how easy it was to fix him. I don't know why I expected more tbh but even taking down Metron was fairly simple. I did love the awkward hop over to where Superman was fighting just so Connor could drop a bunch of weird things to Kal and then run away to Kal's confusion. I also thought it was sweet of Violet to go find Gabrielle's family to tell them what happened to Gabrielle but again I really thought that Violet running away would have been a longer storyline but it was super sweet how much Tara loves her. I kind of adore that Tara has found so much love with Gabrielle and Artemis and that it's them who will probably pull her away from Slade and not Garfield like in most other iterations cause I adore Garfield and Perdita and I didn't want Tara to get in the middle of that. The Kaldur stuff was the least impactful cause nothing really progressed with him other than how lucky that meta-teen girl was cause I would love to live in Atlantis! It was interesting to find out that Kaldur is dating Garth now cause not only is this new information that he's bi but it's also nice to pop in and see the personal lives of our core members again. Since they've been relegated to mentors and not the main team members like in season 1 and even season 2, we've only seen them in terms of leadership and missions. 20 episodes in and we finally just figured out why Orin stepped down as Aquaman (even if we all guessed this was probs why!)

The 100 Season 6 Episode 12

Wow Russell has hardcore lost his mind hasn't he? He's pretty much giving up on the whole Primes and ruling Sanctum and trying to be good now cause he's realized it's not going to work anymore so he's pretty much just focused on getting his family to safety though I really don't know what his longterm goal is. Russell and Simone are so screwed and they don't even know it. They've placed themselves up in space all alone thinking that three of them (two in fact) can win against the hundreds on the ship? And let's not pretend that Russell or Simone are anywhere as trained as Indra or any of the others but I suppose that's a problem for next week. It was totally insane that Abby was murdered this week and I can't believe it happened just a little after Kane was killed but I should have seen it coming after she made up with Raven and basically adopted her as a daughter too. It was probably even worse for Clarke who had to pretend like nothing was wrong while seeing that her mother was murdered. Murphy and Emori switched sides again and it's getting kind of ridiculous but with Russell exasperated with everything that's happening, they made it out alive. It was a little much for them to be so torn up about Abby dying though when they barely know Abby and in fact they're closer to Clarke but like not even Clarke dying got the tears Abby did! Also Gabriel is a moron and he had the perfect chance to kill Russell earlier but he hesitated like a coward and that's how we are where we are. 

The finale is next week and I'm hoping that Russell and Simone will be overpowered and have their mind drives destroyed. It would be great it they were killed too just to avoid any further problems but I suppose it'll depend on whether our crew is trying to be better or whatever. I also assume that back in Sanctum, the other Primes will have their mind drives destroyed too and then the rest of our crew from space can come down and live peacefully on the planet.

Astra Lost In Space Episode 5

This was the fanservice episode of the bunch and I figured that was the case as soon as we landed on a planet with a beach but I didn't mind it cause aside from the weirdness, since we had a planet with no problems, we were able to focus on other stuff like visiting the parents back on Earth and developing more personal relationships. Let's start with those back on Earth and how pretty much every parent except for Aires's mom seemed to be indifferent to the fact that their kids were missing. Normally in a situation like this were your kids are missing, parents would be emotional and desperate the way Aires's mom was instead of calm and rational like the rest were. It was totally obvious that they didn't care and it makes me wonder why. Is it possible that they all knew that their kids would be sacrificed? Was it planned and Aires was just a mistake? I feel like the kids should talk about their parents more cause it's definitely starting to feel like the reason these kids are up here isn't because of them but maybe their parents. Between them there's definitely a senator, a singer, two researchers and a vice principal and that's only a few. I also doubt that Ulgar is actually the traitor afterall cause I have a feeling that he just hates Luca's dad cause he seemed chill until Luca revealed who his dad was. It also just feels too early for the traitor to be revealed and on another note it Ulgar being the traitor just feels like low hanging fruit cause like oh wow the broody kid who doesn't want to make friends was the bad guy all along how original.

Krypton Season 2 Episode 8

OMG who called it episodes ago that there was no way that Lyta died??! I was totally fooled into believing that this show would kill off Seg's love interest cause they went so many episodes without a hint of her and now we find out that she's alive and that it was just a clone that was killed. I honestly have so many questions about this cause I didn't even know Krypton had cloning abilities but like they must and they must be fairly common since after Lyta explained it, no one questioned where a clone came from. Also I loved that it was a Black Mercy that was keeping Lyta trapped cause is it even a show about Kryptonians without one?? The most ironic thing was that it was Dru himself who ended up getting Lyta out cause his head science person did warn him that taking the Black Mercy toxin would ruin the effect the Black Mercy had on it's host and he was like whatever which allowed Lyta the chance she needed. Part of me is a little sad cause I was enjoying Seg and Nyssa as a team and now that Lyta is back the dynamic will change but Jor El is already born and named so there's no going back! It's gotten to the point where it feels like Nyssa and Lyta are sister-wives and really why not have a three-way poly relationship? I wish I understood the way this world viewed marriage and children better cause I know a binding is basically marriage but does the wife take the husband's name? Like if Lyta gets married to Seg will she be an El? Or does having a child through the bonding cortex mean that you're married? Like is Nyssa technically Seg's wife in the eyes of Krypton after Jor was born? 

Okay wow so maybe all my questions about Superman's lineage mean nothing now cause according to Adam, Kal-El doesn't exist anymore and honestly that makes sense cause Krypton has completely muddled up canon in order to tell it's own story. Dru has complete control over Doomsday and that's a nightmare of it's own tbh but he himself is only human so all they need is one clear shot and boom Dru is dead.

FINISHED Agents Of SHIELD Season 6 Episode 12 and Episode 13

What an insane season finale! I was worried that we had too much to deal with and not enough time especially when the Chronicoms returned cause I really thought they would be a season 7 problem and in a way they were. The writing was so incredibly well done that the season 6 to season 7 transition is going to be flawless and I'm already so excited for the final season of my favorite superhero show on tv. Once we found out that the sword Sarge had could kill Izel, things became much clearer because like I had said last week I had no idea how we would be able to win with Izel being so much stronger than our heroes. For a second I really thought that May had been killed and we were about to lose YoYo and Daisy's powers had no effect on Sarge but luckily May is a complete badass to the end and was able to kill Izel and Mack was able to take down Sarge. Of course the comedy was still on point cause I loved everything with Deke and Fitz and Simmons after they realized that Deke was stealing tech to build a company but it turned into a really sad moment when Deke revealed that he was lonely and isolated and hurt by everything that happened. I really believe if shit hadn't of hit the fan that this would be what would have gotten through to Fitz and I believe that it would have strengthened their relationship. I really wish I understood what was happening at the end of the episode but it looks like Jemma and Fitz have been time traveling of a sort and with Enoch's help they've become more high-tech and badass than before. We have our full team again now with a Monolith Flint and a Coulson LMD and I'm honestly super into this more than the idea that Sarge would have survived cause this is our Coulson who's mind is in this upgraded LMD. 

Next season should be the fight against the Chronicoms and I can't wait cause they'll definitely be a fantastic final villain with their high intelligence!

Fruits Basket (2019) Season 1 Episode 18

KISA! KISA! KISA! I've been waiting for this episode for what feels like forever and it's finally here! Kisa has been one of my favorite zodiacs since the first time I watched this show and she's still the most precious little angel. Kisa breaks my heart because I can't imagine being bullied the way she was and how much pain and torture she must have gone through. Of course if you're treated the way she was, you wouldn't want to talk anymore. It didn't help that Kisa's mom was one of the few that tried to reject their child though she clearly tried harder than Momiji's mom even before she was awoken by Tohru's sweetness. I'd like to imagine that she'd be much more accepting of her daughter now and with Kisa being able to stand strong and be brave enough not only to start speaking again but to return to school where all her bullies lay, Kisa would be able to love herself a little more and stand up for herself in the face of all those who oppose her. We also saw a bit more of young Yuki who went through a similar period of being unable to speak after everything that Akito put him through but like Kisa he's trying to be brave and do things that he would never like running for student council president. It's really interesting how the show is so heavily focused on Yuki this season when I feel like I don't remember the 2001 anime being so Yuki-centric but maybe that's cause they're saying the Kyo drama for next season? Either way it's a little sad cause Kyo's obviously my favorite and his reduced screen time is a little unfortunate.

I think we meet Ritsu next week and I remember hating that 2001 episode but this show has taken filler and made it more interesting so I'm keeping an open mind about when lesson Tohru might learn after seeing Ritsu and how his submissiveness actually harmed him.

What Shows Am I Watching This Week?

Hello everyone and welcome back! Let's dive right in shall we?

Poldark Season 5 Episode 2

There's a chill in the air of this show and I'm low key finding myself terrified for our main cast members in a way I haven't been before. It's most likely because Ross and Dwight and their wives are playing around in the political sphere now and unlike the small politics of Cornwall when they were fighting George, in London the King and his supporters as well as people like Hanson have no problem murdering and killing. I was terrified for Demelza all episode with that weird man following her around London and it's like of all the people to stalk, Demelza would have been the last person I'd suspect should be followed. I'm not sure if Bannantine was killed and washed up on shore in Cornwall or London but I can't imagine what our enemies can gain by killing him cause it wouldn't ruin Ned's reputation again unless they somehow pin the murder on him. Perhaps it's as simple as with another witness dead there's no one to point to their wrongdoings? I do like that an ace in our pocket is having Ross kind of working with the King's spy network so it could help keep the government from believing Hanson and co about Ross being a rebel but again it doesn't help that Ross refused to spy on Ned and Kitty and instead fled London. I'm afraid the government spies will just decide that Ross is too hard of a weapon to mold and toss him aside. George is also still slowly falling into madness and part of me is like yes George yes cause with him down and out for a bit, he can't be the thorn in Ross's side as usual but the rest of me is saddened for him and the utter grief he feels. On another note, I'm still liking the cute romance between Cecily and Geoffrey Charles but I'm so terrified of Cecily's father that I can't fully enjoy it. I also still don't understand what Tess wants. It feels like she wants to be mistress of Nampara but like does that mean she wants to seduce Ross or murder Demelza? Either way she's an idiot if she thinks that she can turn Ross's head.

Oh wow looks like a whole bunch of murder is happening next week. I do not think that Bannantine washed up in Cornwall but if we were missing anything in this season so far it's mine drama and how much do we want to bet Tess and co did something to make more commonfolk turn against Ross and Demelza? George also looks like he's closer to losing his mind and it's possible he'll end up shooting his uncle by next week.

Young Justice Season 3 Episode 19

This episode went from one thing to a completely different thing in the course of 30 minutes and I'm honestly shocked because I did not see this coming. Lex had a fantastic plan at the top of the episode in order to discredit the Outsiders and keep his agenda going with pretending like he was worried about a bunch of teen heroes but it was all ruined for him by the end which was a surprise to me cause I thought that the second crisis of the episode was also a plot by Lex. As it turned out it was a plot but not one made by Lex. I don't entirely understand what Batman and co are secretly trying to accomplish but I can't entirely assume it's just to discredit the Light from the shadows. It was fascinating to see that Batman was basically Lex this week and I loved that Diana called him out. I do miss some of the older members (like where has Black Canary been) and I still don't understand why Diana and Clark are out in space when we don't even check in with them. Last we saw of space, the Light was selling metahumans so are we to assume that's what the League is fighting in space? We also got another shoutout to Wally and I will die if he doesn't come back at some point this season. Violet also came out with the truth about Gabrielle and what she did to Brion and Tera which of course horrified them but once again Violet isn't Gabrielle so she's not exactly to blame! I also thought I would be annoyed with how the Outsiders's parents were against them being Outsiders but I loved the way the episode ended with them publicly offering their support including savage Jay Garrick who made a social media account just to mess with Lex.

The 100 Season 6 Episode 11

Turnabouts fair play no? Josephine spent an episode pretending to be Clarke and now Clarke will spend an episode pretending to be Josephine and seriously it's just props to Eliza Taylor who is slaying. I really enjoyed pretty much everything that happened this week other than probably what was happening with Echo in her backstory. It was a weird moment to bring it up and I don't know what it accomplished if I'm being honest but I suppose it might have been leftover from when Bellamy told her to open up mixed in with her needing to stall. It was super badass when she murdered Ryker though cause as much as he was hemming and hawing, she's still the assassin she was. It was also strange that we didn't see Raven or Abby or Emori tonight but I guess there was no need for them cause we know what they were up to. It does suck that Murphy is on the Primes side again but like obviously everyone on our side is like whatever dude at this point and besides when push comes to shove, he usually picks us. I was hoping that maybe they'd be able to get the evil Commander out of Madi before making more Nightbloods but then again there is literally only Russell, and Priya left of the Primes so like all our crew have to do is kill them and destroy the drives and there's no need for Nightbloods anymore. Octavia and Bellamy also seemed to make up and though Bellamy is still being an asshole to Octavia's face, he was struggling to keep tears at bay and I have a feeling that he'll be fine by the end of this season probs through an Octavia death scare if I'm being honest. I can't wait to see Clarke pretend to be Josephine some more cause she's been killing it so far tbh. I also don't entirely know why Clarke can't just kill Russell and Priya cause she's already infiltrated their inner circle and they would never see it coming. This way they can take out who they need to, save our people and protect the innocent.

Ha I have no idea what was happening in the trailer. It looks like Gabriel's big plan is to turn the Nulls against the Primes by explaining the truth behind the drives but again part of me is like why not just kill the two Primes left and destroy the drives? Same difference no?

Astra Lost In Space Episode 4

Well I asked for a sick episode and that's kind of what we got though it was mixed together with a planet with little to no resources story which is interesting cause technically it could have been spread over two. The weirdest moment all episode was Kanata taking his helmet off to breath in the poison cause for some reason he thought he'd find the medicinal mushrooms only when he was panicking. I was sitting here like you moron that's not going to help cause you're more useful unhurt. It also brought up a question I had about why the crew would take their helmets off after they land on each planet cause though they might be able to account for oxygen in the atmosphere, there's no way of knowing if there's something unbreathable in the air anyway unless they have some sort of air tester but since we haven't seen one yet, I think we're supposed to assume that we don't. I'm curious to know if the next episode will also take place on this planet cause we never did manage to solve the low resources on this planet problem and the next planet isn't close enough that the crew can make it on what little they have. I also know we've like technically made friends with the Gruppies on this planet but like when push comes to shove, they are meat and a bunch of them are dead already so why not just steal a few? We also got to get to know Yunha a bit more and I suppose it was meant to show us why she wasn't the spy afterall but who knows. I did feel bad for her when we got to know just how abusive her mother was and for like no reason cause it isn't like Yunha can't do anything but she's so scared that she refuses to try. 

Krypton Season 2 Episode 7

Hmmm I don't know what I'm feeling right now cause a lot of the episode was fairly boring but then there was also so much that happened that matters and at this point I have a feeling that we no longer care about future canon cause it's like Adam came back to make sure that Superman lives but he hasn't mentioned it at all this season and the fact that the future was all messed up anyway makes me feel like we're just going to play it by ear now. Last week I went on and on about the House of El and for a second I was all warm and fuzzy inside when Nyssa and Seg renamed Cor Vex to Jor El cause not only was it a super sweet moment for our characters but we were obviously setting up the future family line since Jor El is Kal El's father but now with Brainiac having taken him away, things are left up in the air. I wonder if we'll end up teaming up with Zod to get Jor back cause there's no way that either Seg or Nyssa are like oops oh well especially after Seg just lost Lyta and though Zod is a dictator, he really does love Krypton in his own way and with him having built spaceships and the threat of Brainiac still out there, the enemy of my enemy is my friend? Every time our characters think they've defeated Brainiac I'm always sitting here like that was too easy and what made them think that putting nanites into the Fortress's system was a good idea? Anyway we also learned a bit more about Doomsday and how he was tortured into being this monster by the El and the Zod who created him and as it turns out Zod wants to use him as a weapon. We also did some stuff up with the rebellion but mostly it was to show that Kem is now a great leader in his own right.

Well I take back everything I said about a team-up with Zod and Seg cause it looks like Seg will be trying to destroy Zod first before going out to get Jor back. I'm a little worried that the show might end up aging Jor up to an adult and have him be loyal to Brainiac in order to bring drama to our cast but hopefully we are able to focus on Zod for now and maybe the hunt for Jor El will be the focus next season.

Agents Of SHIELD Season 6 Episode 11

This episode was pretty much a setup for the future battles to come which is why nothing really happened even though there were some fun moments. I still don't know why Izel wants to leave her world and have all of her people join this one when she clearly missed her home a few episodes ago and we know that ultimately people always want to return to their home worlds regardless of how much they travel around so like there has to be more. Is her world dying? Do they need a new world? Or for some reason has Izel decided that it's so much more fun to take over a new one? She's managed to find the doorway to her world through Benson's help and she wants Mack and Yoyo to rebuild the Monoliths from their memory through her usage of the remaining monolith energy which seems like a real fast and loose plan but since we're nearing the end of the season, I'm sure it'll work. We also learned a little more about how her powers work and it was super awesome that it ended up being Deke who figured it out cause I adore this version of Deke trying everything in his power to impress Fitz and like we all knew he had the Fitzsimmons brain on him and it was only a matter of channeling it! The Sarge stuff was fun too and one of my favorite moments all episode was the quiet one where Daisy finally read the letter Coulson left her and properly grieved though we also learned that Sarge is regaining Coulson's memories and I feel like by the end of the season into next season we might end up getting our Coulson back. Maybe the belt that Fitzsimmons and Deke build will be able to get the thing out of Sarge. The Chronicom button we got at the end is still really confusing and I keep wondering why we keep popping back to see what the Chronicoms are doing and the only thing I can think of is that they'll be the Big Bads for next season and the show wants us to remember them.

It looks like SHIELD will be airing it's penultimate and finale back to back so it'll be more of a two-hour season finale and I'm pumped. I can't wait to see how our crew wins or whether they even win cause next season is the last one SHIELD will have based on what we heard at Comic Con.

Fruits Basket (2019) Season 1 Episode 17

This was the second part of Uo's backstory as I predicted last week and I already went through the whole kinda feel bad but kinda feel like her story is filler thing last time so let's just jump into this episode. I really liked that though it was Kyoko who lent Uo the strength to leave her old life behind, it was ultimately Tohru and her gentle heart that made Uo want to change. I think that's truly Tohru's best weapon and what makes everyone love her cause she doesn't go out to change people or to force them to do what they don't want to. She just accepts people the way they are and that's what makes people want to be the best version of themselves around her. I loved that Uo was so touched that Tohru baked something for her and that Kyoko and Tohru became a safe haven for her enough so that she was able to change her own home life as well. I do wonder if the friend in the gang who tried to help Uo leave the gang will end up coming back in the show cause she's a dangling thread and I feel like shows don't usually leave a lot of them out there cause it's great drama to bring them back. I also love the idea of passing on the torch to other young delinquents cause Kyoko saved Uo and now Uo is saving those three girls who were following them around. It was super sweet that they started to idolize her the way Uo did to Kyoko.

I assume that we'll be getting back to the zodiacs next week and it should be Kisa who's next followed by Hiro and Ritsu and then Kyo's backstory if we follow the 2001 version's sequence of events. I think there's also two more zodiac members that we never met originally but I have a feeling that they might be pushed back to next season.

What Shows Am I Watching This Week?

Hello everyone and welcome back! Let's dive right in shall we?

FINISHED Jessica Jones Season 3

I know I know. I took my sweet time watching this show and maybe that means that everyone has talked this season to death and I'm just over here casually beating a dead horse but here I am anyway. Overall I did enjoy this season and I'd definitely put it above season 2 but below season 1 in my favorites. Jessica Jones hasn't always been my favorite of the Netflix shows (that's Daredevil) cause personally I never really loved her version of being a reluctant hero cause I prefer my heroes to want to do good rather than stumble into it like Jessica usually does. This season though she took the hero thing pretty seriously and though there were things I didn't love, there was plenty I did. I really liked the villain of the season cause it was really fun that he wasn't a powered person like before. The best villains tend to be ones that outsmart the hero and make the hero look like the bad guy in public and I loved that Sallinger was literally using the law in his favor. I also really loved the new addition of Erik and he actually straight up might have been my favorite part of this season even though I was heartbroken that he replaced Oscar as Jessica's love interest. That by the way was one of my negatives cause I really liked Oscar and Vido last season and the way the show wrote them off sucked. It also kind of sucked that Erik and Jessica ended up breaking up at the end of the season though I loved that he's basically working with the police now. Malcolm also got a great arc and I loved that he is now back at Alias and though Jessica isn't leaving the city as we first thought, they make an awesome team and I love the idea that they will work together in the future. Of course one of my favorite things was also Trish and her descent into villainy cause it was just so well written! You could see all the puzzle pieces leading up to her full on mental break and you followed her every step of the way so it never came out of nowhere. I will never not be bitter about Netflix cancelling all these incredible shows but at least this one and Daredevil got semi-happy endings in that they concluded their story without too many dangling plots unlike Luke Cage and Iron Fist which felt like starts to new and exciting stories that were in the future.

Poldark Season 5 Episode 1

We're back with a new and what seems to be the final season of Poldark! I've had tough time with this show cause though I adored Ross and Demelza's love for one another, I consistently feel as though this show portrays the two falling in and out of love which is hard for me to watch. I'm hoping that with this being the last season our main couple will continue to be a team. I'm not sure yet what the overarching story will be in London but in Cornwall it's definitely Tess who's pissed at the Poldarks for some reason instead of George. It never ceases to infuriate me that the commonfolk will be punished by George and then attack the Poldarks for being uncaring. Is it that they see that Ross and Demelza care more for the commonfolk which makes them easier to torment? I'm so relieved that Demelza is going to London to be with Ross rather than staying back in Cornwall cause there was a lot of talk of death tonight and I was so scared that Demelza might be next on the list to die. Back in London Ross has been tapped to work as a spy of sorts for the crown and I have a terrible feeling about it tbh but since Ross is the main character of this show I doubt anything bad would happen to him so I'm like why not go for it cause the more power you've got, the more good he can do. George is slowly descending into madness in his grief about Elizabeth's death and I should feel sorry for him but honestly I'm a little glad cause George hasn't always been a good guy and this way he's less of a thorn in Ross's side. Geoffrey Charles is like an adult now with his very own romantic storyline which is kinda hilarious cause Ross and Demelza's kids have been toddlers for seasons and they're like not supposed to be that much apart in age.

Next week it looks like Ross will be getting into some trouble possibly with how close he is to Ned who the crown doesn't trust and then back in Cornwall, Tess is apparently dreaming of becoming the lady of the house which makes no sense whatsoever for many reasons. Just cause the Poldarks are out of town doesn't mean that she can rule over the house and let's be honest even if she does try, the second Ross comes home, he'll stop her.

Young Justice Season 3 Episode 18

This episode was actually pretty fun cause I'm still loving that we're following the Outsiders (even though I'm still bitter that they're not the Teen Titans) but part of me is still missing the big picture. We've got 8 episodes left in this season and we still don't know what the Light's plan is outside of kidnapping children and making an army. Once again maybe it's because I'm not binging this show all at once so I can't entirely remember what happened 6 months ago but I keep feeling like this season is disjointed. Don't get me wrong, I'm loving every episode that airs and man oh man is this season darker than those that came before but I keep feeling like we're trying to juggle too many plates all at once. The Terra story could be one all it's own but instead we're shoving it in with Cyborg and his father box, meta-human trafficking, Vandal Savage and Darkseid and the Light putting restrictions on the League. It's all so much but I still have hope that the finale will be able to tie it all together in one nice bow and if it sticks the landing maybe I'll look back on this season more favorably. I enjoyed seeing everyone fight Clarion in Cuba this week and it was so helpful that Zatanna showed up cause without her the team might have lost given how can you beat magic without magic? I do wonder if Dr Fate's supposed disappearance will mean anything or if it was just a way to get Zatanna to take center stage. I also like that Ed is joining the Outsiders and I'm curious if that meta with gills will become important cause she definitely seemed to get more of a highlight than the other Cuban metahumans.

The 100 Season 6 Episode 10

Yess! We're back bitches! Clarke's mind is back in her body and Josephine is officially out and I'm a little shocked cause I totally expected her to stick around to be annoying for at least the rest of the season. For a while I thought it was happening with Josephine moving her mind from the mind drive to the neural mesh that Clarke was using but I think Clarke killed her for real and Josephine might be dead cause if she moved her mind from the mind drive and then was killed, she's gone gone based on what she told Clarke earlier. I'm a tiny bit confused about why The Flame can hold so many minds of so many commanders but like the mind drives can't hold more than one. They're both based on the same technology but clearly Becca is way superior. I was a little worried that Clarke wouldn't get to Gabriel and Octavia until the final minutes of the episode making the whole removal thing a problem for next week but thankfully that didn't happen and we fixed things this week. I can't wait for everyone to get back to Sanctum and kick some ass. It'll be interesting though cause Clarke is on the kill everyone train while Octavia is now trying to save lives. I do hope Bellamy gets over himself next week cause I'm tired of seeing him hate Octavia. I also love how Abby was all pissed at Murphy for what happened to Clarke but it's like Abby you're no better anyway. The Primes really messed up after everything cause they knew that the people from Earth are all savages so why mess with them at all? All they got was death and more death. There's only three Primes left now and Riker is like half-in and half-out so like who knows which side he'll take.

Next week I'm assuming that Madi's Flame will be edited so that the evil Commander's code is removed and I'm curious to know if Russell or any of the Sanctum people will find out about the Flame and wonder what it is. I also hope that Clarke, Bellamy and Octavia will come up with a plan cause their trade Josephine for their people isn't going to work anymore though I suppose Russell doesn't know that his daughter isn't on her mind drive so the trade might work. I have a feeling though that they won't get back to Sanctum next week just to stretch things out.

Astra Lost In Space Episode 3

Wow this episode just turned everything onto it's head! I thought this might just be a fun show about kids being lost in space but suddenly it's turned into a murder mystery show which is totally exciting. We found out that not only did someone on the crew disable communications on the Astra but that they're actually here to kill everyone which feels totally insane cause there have been so many opportunities to kill everyone but so far everyone seems to be wanting to help. I bet the weird sphere thing wasn't actually meant to happen and that they were all supposed to die on the original planet but because the sphere sent them out to the middle of nowhere they've had to change plans. I can't decide who I think it is that is the mole but the only one who seems to do nothing is Yunha and it seems like she's struggling with depression so she would be my number 1 guess for the murderer. The show definitely wants us to think it's Ulgar with his connection to the vice-principal and his gun but I have a feeling that by making it so obvious he'll be a red herring. I do wonder what the connection is between all of our cast and I really think they need to sit down and work it out at some point cause if they figure out why someone would want to kill them, they might be able to figure out who the mole is. I wonder if all these people accidentally stumbled onto something they shouldn't have cause otherwise I can't imagine what a bunch of kids have done to deserve death. All we know for sure is that it isn't Kanata or Aires and I'd throw Zack and Funicia on that list too cause he could have kept the communicator a secret and not only is she too young but she also could have kept the orphanage secret.

Krypton Season 2 Episode 6

Well color me completely shocked! Lyta is dead and that makes everything I'd been saying last week null and void cause while I was jumping through hoops to explain why Lyta could not possibly be dead, the show writers were snickering in their corner. I do wonder if there will be a way to bring her back to life maybe through the use of the Cortex? The hardest part of all this is that we're told this show is pre-Superman canon but comics wise there isn't a lot on Kal-El's Kryptonian family and what is present I don't know if we'll follow to a tee. We know that Jor El is his father, Lara Lor-Van was his mother and Seg El is his grandfather (though in Silver Age comics he's known as Jor El I) but the only real record of a grandmother is someone called Nimda An-Dor but she was erased from continuity after the Silver Age (the same time Jor El I became Seg El) so I don't know who I'm supposed to think is important in this show in terms of who Seg ends up with and I feel like Adam should care a little more about the woman in Seg's life if he's so interested in protecting Superman's legacy. I do suppose with the whole Cortex creates a baby using DNA thing that it's a little less important but also I don't really know any version where Dru Zod is an uncle of Superman's so the canon might be fast and loose. All this aside the episode was pretty good. Seg, Jaina and Dev were all fighting with the idea that Lyta died and with Nyssa joining them, they're off to kill Dru. I do think there's something weird going on with Jaina and Dev and I just really hope it doesn't become romantic cause ew he was supposed to be Lyta's mate. Seg also told Nyssa everything about Brainiac still being in him and it seems like Brainiac wants to make a deal that he'll help Seg get rid of Dru and leave Krypton in peace as long as Seg gets Brianiac back into his ship. Over in the rebellion, Jax-Ur was kicked out of the rebellion for becoming a tyrant but not before seemingly turned Val-El to the dark side as well after he killed all those innocent people in the elevator. Dru also has a new weapon that he's going to test on Doomsday and I have no idea what it could be.

It looks like next week will the origin of Doomsday which tbh I'm not all that interested in but since I've enjoyed what this show did with all it's villains so far maybe this episode will turn me! It also seems like the weapon Dru made is just like any other that shoots beams and I will die of laughter if it's just like another assault rifle and not something more mystical like Jax-Ur's plan for a Codex weapon.

Agents Of SHIELD Season 6 Episode 10

Can we take a moment to talk about how completely adorable Fitz and Deke's current relationship is?? I loved the comedy of Fitz hating Deke last season but I didn't know how much I would love protective Fitz this time around! Deke is like jumping through hoops and being so careful with what he says so that Fitz would like him this time around and it's the sweetest but I do think that Fitz likes him a lot more because the original Fitz probably associated Deke with the future last time around and with this Fitz not having all those negative thoughts in his mind, he just sees a grandson who's desperate for his grandfather to like him. As I said last week Izel is totally alive and she was inside Davis and Sarge is just like her! We learned a ton this week about Izel and Sarge and what they want and I love how it connected back to last season with the 100th episode which we all thought was nothing more than fanservice. Sarge was a body that the Monoliths created and sent to Izel's dimension (where the Monoliths originated from) and an entity from that world entered Sarge's body to follow Izel but he got lost in Coulson's strong memories and forgot who he was. Izel's goal is to get everyone from her dimension into bodies but like we didn't learn what the goal is afterwards. Do they want to rule the universe? Or just live on a planet in peace once they've got bodies? The shoutout to Ghost Rider made me more excited than I probs should have been but like this would be the perfect season for him to come back especially since I know Marvel is planning a Ghost Rider spinoff show with the same actor who played him in this show so like can't Robbie just pop by really quick??? I love how scary Izel is but like straight up I'm starting to wonder how we can defeat her since she can move bodies like that so quickly and even YoYo can't stop her.

Hmmm so maybe the entity inside Sarge will end up being the thing that stops Izel but I can't imagine that waking him up will work out for us cause according to Izel the entity is in love with her so if he wakes, he'd be more likely to join Izel than fight her unless Coulson's memories are stronger which tbh I could see happening.

Fruits Basket (2019) Season 1 Episode 16

I'm kinda in the middle about this episode cause though I love that it's a Uo centric episode and that we're getting to know characters we didn't in the original anime, part of me is looking at the episode count and being like well season 1 is almost over and I'm still waiting for the big reveals. I also low key hate that we still haven't got a release schedule for the next season or whether there will be 2 or 3 in total which is why I end up feeling like this is a filler episode when in fact it's probs just as important as meeting any of the other zodiacs since Uo is a main character. I liked that we got to see Uo back before she became who she is now and seeing how much emptiness she always felt before Tohru and Kyoko filled her life in with joy. Her mother left her, her father was an alcoholic, she rarely went to school and spent all her time breaking laws but I loved that Kyoko left such a deep impression on Uo just from one meeting. It was peak Kyoko saying that she wouldn't judge Uo for who she was or the way she acted cause everyone's different and that relaxing just a little allowed her to realize that she wasn't the badass she wanted to pretend to be. I also really loved how embarrassed Kyo was about buying swimsuits for Tohru and once again I think this is another example as to why Kyo's thinking of Tohru romantically cause he got embarrassed while Yuki was just more curious. The button at the end of the episode was super weird and I'm not sure what the point of Uo's ex-gang mates were but I assume that they'll pop up next week.

Next week we should be getting the second half of Uo's backstory.
