What Shows Am I Watching This Week?

Hello everyone and welcome back! Let's dive right in shall we?

FINISHED Poldark Season 5 Episode 7 and 8

Wow for some reason Poldark decided to air it's penultimate and finale back to back so let's jump in and talk about not only the end of the season but the series in general! I have to admit I'm more saddened by the loss of this show than I thought I would be. I've always been on the fence about whether or not I enjoy this show cause I've always felt like unlike many period dramas, this one tended to showcase our main couple falling in and out of love which is honestly just sad to watch but looking back over the past five seasons it makes sense cause love is ever changing and it's not as easy as tv and movies make it out to be. It requires work and sacrifice and was there ever a couple that embedded this more than Ross and Demelza? The finale was hard to watch cause Ross continued to lie to Demelza about his working with the French and she thought he fell in love with Tess which was the worst person for Ross to pick after everything she did this season but the 180 turn after Demelza figured out the truth and saved Ross's ass was perfection. You could see the fear in his eyes when Demelza showed up at the house and the sheer relief later when she forgave him for everything. It was especially lovely seeing that George stepped up and actually helped cause despite everything, he's not the monster that the other two were and you could see it in his eyes every time one of them planned another murder. I still low key wish that he had given Trenwith back to Geoffrey Charles as it should have been his in the first place as the eldest son since George isn't planning on ever coming back since it is haunted by Elizabeth but that might be asking too much from George's heart. Caroline and Dwight also solved their problems and I'm so glad that Caroline explained her sudden bout of jealously about Kitty as a means for her to keep him at arms length cause I've been saying for weeks that he doesn't seem to be treating Kitty any special way and it was strange of Caroline to fear it but I'd like to imagine now that they've fixed their problems that they'll have a child too that can play with Ross and Demelza's newest! I will miss this insane show and the wonderful chemistry between Aidan and Eleanor and I can't wait to see what else they work in!

FINISHED Young Justice Season 3 Episode 24, 25 and 26

I really should pay attention to airdates cause, like Poldark, I had no idea that the final three episodes of season 3 were airing back to back this week but I'm not complaining cause more tv is great for me! Anyway let's dive in and talk about how season 3 ended! Let's start with the elephant in the room that was Wally West. Guys I cried and cried and cried thinking that this really was the end of Wally and Artemis cause like Artemis I believed that she had entered Limbo and met the spirit of Wally which is why I was heartbroken at the idea that he would never return! But in the end it turned out that M'gann and Zatana faked the whole thing so instead of giving me closure like the episode wanted, I'm still holding out hope but I'm also so so relieved that Artemis and Will didn't get together. Like I don't mind Artemis moving on (and hoping that as soon as she does Wally comes back so all the drama ensues) but Will is her brother-in-law and that's creepy! I loved the way Cyborg and Halo kicked ass and defeated Granny and it's kind of hilarious cause last week I really thought that it would be harder for our heroes to defeat Anti-Life but I totally forgot that Cyborg is a father-box so of course he'd be OP! As I also suspected we didn't get to Darkseid cause we focused back on Earth problems and the Light though as always, the heroes got a small win while behind-the-scenes, the Light won out in my opinion. I was stunned beyond measure when Brion suddenly went power-mad and was assuming that his advisor would be a Martian or some sort of telepath controlling Brion and the people but was confused as to why M'gann couldn't pick it up. I was right about the whole telepathy thing and I'm assuming M'gann didn't figure it out so we could get to this point. Lex was also ousted from the UN and the League, Batman Inc, Young Justice and the Outsiders are recombining under the authority of Black Lightning which isn't the biggest win but feels like a win to me. I'm assuming that Nightwing will lead Young Justice and Superboy will lead the Outsiders (still wishing it was called Teen Titans!) but part of me just dislikes this version of Black Lightning with his holier than thou attitude so I'm not thrilled he's in charge but I'll get over it.

As we know from SDCC 2019, there will be a season 4 for Young Justice though we don't know anything about when or what it'll be about. Maybe we'll finally battle Darkseid? I assume we'll also have to deal with the Brion stuff but overall I'm just hoping that the next season will be much more simplified in terms of story. Though it all came together at the end, I felt like this season just had too many storylines to juggle and with the way it aired, I kept finding myself feeling like I was forgetting something so hopefully next season does better! It also doesn't help that there's a million characters now so I hope the show does better with balancing screen time for them.

Astra Lost In Space Episode 9

Well shit. That's all I could think of as this episode came to a close! We learned so much and so many reveals took place that my mind is straight up blown! Let's start at the top and work our way through. We finally figured out what the reasoning behind sending our whole crew to their deaths was and it was the fact that everyone on board was a clone of their so-called parents which is totally and completely insane! I said last week that the clues were all there but I couldn't figure out how they fit together and now that the cloning thing has been explained, suddenly everything is crystal clear. It explains why every person on this ship had a terrible relationship with their parents and why none of those parents were upset to lose their kid in space. The only thing this reveal didn't do was explain Aries who is still the outlier in the group cause her mom was the only parent to love her and the whole Seira thing. I wonder if maybe she was actually a clone of Seira who was given up for adoption without her adoptive mom knowing the truth and that it was a situation where she was created to give organs to a sick Seira. We never did get a proper timeline when Charce was explaining his backstory. It's possible Seira was always sick or that she fell when she was younger so it would give Aries time to grow up or that Seira was older than Charce making Aries and Charce the same age. On the other hand maybe Aries is still Seira with amnesia and replaced memories due to Zack's father as a beta test of a sort with or without the clone part. We also saw Quitterie and Zack announce their marriage to the crew and it was definitely a lighthearted moment we needed in between two major announcements and I loved how the whole crew was just as stunned as we all were to find out that Zack was in love with Quitterie this whole time. The other huge shock was the reveal that Polina is actually from Earth but our whole crew is from a planet called Astra. I knew there had to be more to Polina and what happened to her but she was only in ice for 12 years so maybe there just were two planets with humans on them cause otherwise 12 years is too short of a time to move everyone on Earth over to Astra or to make the people of Astra forget that their planet used to be called Earth before some big world changing event.

Fruits Basket (2019) Season 1 Episode 22

Surprisingly we got another episode for Hana this week that explained more of her backstory and though I know I said last week that the episode felt like filler and I didn't like Uo's backstory, I actually ended up really enjoying Hana's. I think it had to do with the fact that it was just so heartbreaking and sad! I mean poor Hana not only had to fight with being unable to control her wave power but she also got bullied practically her entire life. Children are honestly the worst and it was so hard to watch Hana think that she killed someone and that she needed to be punished for the rest of her life because of it! It was a much darker reason than I expected for why Hana wore black all the time and honestly it makes me appreciate her even more. I was also surprised to find out that her wave power was like legit mind reading rather than more of a comedic thing like in the 2001 anime. It was also the first time we met Hana's parents and I have to say, her whole family was honestly so sweet. They clearly love her so much despite everything and I don't know why but I totally expected her parents to dislike her and her powers but maybe that's just cause she reminds me of the Sohmas and all of their parents hate them so I just kind of expected it from Hana's too. Megumi is such a sweetheart too and it was so sweet of him to wear black all the time just to support Hana too. Tohru was once again basically an angel that appeared out of nowhere to show others that the world isn't as dark as it seems and it just makes her relationship with Yuki and Kyo all the more important cause where she has been a guiding light for others, they are one for her.

Honestly I don't even know what we'll get next week cause I expected Kyo's true form arc to start now but maybe it'll start next week? All I know is that we've only got 3 episodes remaining this season and I also don't know when the next season comes out!

What Dramas Am I Watching This Week?

So here's what I'm watching this week! Of course the list is split by country and the amount of episodes I've seen so far are written below! There will be spoilers from now on so if you aren't caught to the episode number on list, you might want to go watch that episode and then come back! If you're interested in previous lists, click here and if you want to see a list of my favorite asian OTPs and ships, click here!

KDRAMA

Doctor John (24/32): In a refreshing take on the genre, “Doctor John” will portray the doctors’ search for the cause of their patients’ mysterious pain as a thrilling chase, almost like a detective hunting down the perpetrator behind an unsolved crime. Cha Yo Han is a genius anesthesiologist, who is also the youngest professor at his medical school. The brilliant doctor goes by the nickname “10 Seconds,” referring to his ability to figure out his patients in the 10 seconds that it takes for them to enter an examination room and walk to their seat. Kang Shi Young is a legendary anesthesiologist, who was always at the top of her class throughout medical school. The talented doctor inherited her skills from her cool-headed, rational mother, while she inherited her empathy, listening skills, and warm bedside manner from her father.

I have had up to here with this horrid nurse. She's a terrible villain and I'm so tired of seeing her on screen. At first I had been lumping Prosecutor Son with her but the more we get to know him, the more I see that he's nuanced and interesting as an antagonist while she's nothing but mustache twirling one-note villain. Look lady I get it you're pissed that your kid was murdered but stop taking all your anger out on someone who had nothing to do with that and get some therapy or something. I was super annoyed that she figured out everything from stitches without anesthesia and no sweat on a hot day cause like I know it's a drama but in real life no one takes small clues like that and is like well obviously he's got this disease especially since she's not a doctor herself. I will be so beyond pissed if this show doesn't end with her getting arrested or fired from her hospital cause the amount of terrible things she's done is crazy. I also have a feeling that Prosecutor Son and Yo Han will end up teaming up against the whole euthanasia drug cause Yo Han seems to be for euthanasia if it's a last resort cause he prefers to his patients to live. On another note, Yo Han and Shi Young were super cute this week and I loved how she was there for him through everything. I'm still waiting on a kiss but I loved the scene where they had to hide her cause the other residents from the hospital visited. I also hope that Shi Young's dad will wake up by the end of this show cause every time I see how much Shi Young and her sister love him, I want nothing more than for him to be okay. It's a drama! If the villains can magically guess what illness Yo Han has, why can't a coma patient wakeup when that's a miracle that happens in real life too??
Hotel de Luna (14/16): Jang Man Wol is the CEO of Hotel del Luna. The hotel is situated in downtown in Seoul and has a very old appearance. She made a big error many years ago and, because of this, she has been stuck at Hotel del Luna. She is beautiful, but she is fickle, suspicious and greedy. Goo Chan Sung worked as the youngest assistant manager ever at a multinational hotel corporation. He is a sincere perfectionist. He looks level-headed, but he actually has a soft disposition. Due to an unexpected case, he begins to work as a manager at Hotel del Luna. The hotel's clientele consists of ghosts.

The major chunk of these two episodes were focused on the idea of forgiveness and whether it's possible. Seo Hee had to face her 200 year old revenge and decide whether she wanted to force the pain she went through after losing a baby on another and in the end she decided that she couldn't do that to another person and honestly I was so proud cause I don't know if I would have made the same decision. We also learned a bit more about Hyun Joong and how the person who murdered him is pretending to be him and man was I pissed when I figured that out along with Yoo Na! Of course Hyun Joong is right in a way cause it's like he's dead so what does it matter that someone is pretending to be him cause when his sister dies, she'll find out the truth. I do wonder if fake Hyun Joong will try to kill Yoo Na in order to make sure that no one knows the truth though it would be totally weird if he did cause like he's at the end of his life anyway! Chung Myung and Man Wol's ability to forgive him were also a large focus of the episode and it was honestly super harsh of the Ma Go deities to make Man Wol think that Chan Sung was Chung Myung though I get the idea behind it. Part of me still feels so bad for Chung Myung cause though he was an asshole in the past (like dude sacrifice yourself for the women you love not everything your woman loves to save your ass), there's just something so romantic about how he was by her side for 1000 years watching over her and suffering right alongside her. Despite that I do also love Chan Sung and Man Wol so the other part of me is like don't leave him! I don't entirely understand what happened at the end though. Since one of the Ma Go deities planted some of Man Wol's flowers in Chan Sung's heart, does that mean that she and Hotel Del Luna will live until he dies? Cause that would defs be a way to give us a happy ending!
I Wanna Hear Your Song (16/32): A murder takes place. Hong Yi Young, who is a timpanist, does not remember what happened on the day of the murder. She is simple-minded and suffers from insomnia. Hong Yi Young looks for a job. She happens to meet Jang Yoon. He is bad at singing but is a pianist in an orchestra. To help with Hong Yi Young's insomnia, Jang Yoon calls her every night. They try to find the truth about the murder. Meanwhile, Nam Joo Wan is an orchestra conductor. He has charisma and showmanship. Ha Eun Joo is a violinist in the orchestra. She is arrogant.

Okay I'm starting to get a little impatient with the secrets in this show. Everyone and their mother knows that Yi Young did not kill Ian cause duh this is a kdrama not a jdrama and in kdramas, female leads are basically angels. I'm still going on the theory that she saw Ian get stabbed by that creepy guy under the orders of Professor Kang and she grabbed the knife to take it out and that's what those weird flashes show. She probs ran into the warehouse trying to get away from the creepy guy and lost her memory soon after. I'm a little annoyed that Yi Young didn't think that the creepy guy talking about higher ups was any sort of important clue and I'm praying that when Yoon wakes up that he'll remember that fact and look for clues from that angle. The fact that he's so focused on Yi Young and ignoring every other person in Ian's life is a little ridiculous but I have a feeling that the guy who's helping Yoon is actually there as a spy from Yoon's father to prevent him from knowing the actual truth. He should also be wondering why that creepy guy is so hellbent on hurting Yi Young cause if she was Ian's killer then she should on the same side as the creepy guy. I'm sure Yoon will be fine despite getting knocked out but I really hope that it's Yi Young who finds him. On another note I'm still low key loving how Yoon and Yi Young are so into each other but fighting it cause they think it's wrong. I still don't think Yi Young and Ian were dating but Ian probably had a crush on her cause what kind of girl doesn't tell any of her friends or family that she's dating someone? Even with Yoon, her orchestra friend knows that she's into someone though she doesn't know who so if Yi Young had been dating Ian, someone in her life would have known something!
Justice (28/32): Lee Tae Kyung is a star lawyer with the best win rate. He is able to win cases by using his sharp logic and intelligent speeches. He amasses power and wealth by dealing with clients who are part of the elite class. His cases are usually referred from Song Woo Yong who is the owner of a construction company. Lee Tae Kyung gets these high class criminals acquitted or at minimum receive probation. He first became a lawyer to get revenge for his younger sister, but has since become focused on money. He changes when he deals with a series of cases involving missing actresses. Meanwhile, Song Woo Yong has grown his construction company by funneling criminal cases involving wealthy people to Lee Tae Kyung. For his family, he desires even more power. He comes into conflict with Lee Tae Kyung over the cases involving missing actresses.

Wow I like super don't know what Woo Yong's plan is and I'm afraid for our crew! I was thinking for a while that we need to stop leaving things in Tae Kyung's office cause Dae Jin works there and no matter how righteous he is, at the end of the day most people will place their family above justice. I mean look at Yeon Ah! She's the most just prosecutor out there and even she was torn about her father being a part of the Namwon case. So of course Dae Jin stole that recording of Woo Yong and Tak being pointed to as the actual criminals and deleted it! It's making me worried cause that's obviously why Woo Yong let Tae Kyung out of prison cause he knows now that other than Young Mi's testimony, they have nothing pointing to him which worries me. It feels so much like our crew has no way to win cause even if they grab every person in power and find evidence, how do they know that a judge isn't going to be in Woo Yong or Tak's pocket like other cases? I'm so relieved though that Young Mi was saved and that she made it out okay cause I really did think she was going to die especially after we didn't find her last week but I'm still waiting on her reunion with Tae Kyung cause it was a lot of his tenacity that saved her and it's unfortunate that she woke up while he was in jail. I do have to admit that at the start of the week I was on such a high after Hyun Woo teamed up with us to help and it sucks that it ended up the way it did. The finale is going to air next week and I just can't imagine how the show will wrap everything up. I also high key need Tae Kyung and Yeon Ah to kiss but like I'll take a hug or even them acknowledging their feelings for one another!
FINISHED Love Alarm (8/8): A love triangle between a hardworking girl and two boys who like her is complicated by the release of a phone app that notifies you every time a person who likes you is within 10 meters

I really wanted to check this drama out cause Kim So Hyun was playing the female lead and the premise sounded super cute but I was busy last week so I couldn't check out this drama when it first aired which allowed me to hear all the hype around this drama and how much everyone loved it so when I could finally check it out, I went in all excited only to be super let down. Don't get me wrong, it wasn't the cliffhanger that bothered me cause I heard that the ending was left up in the air in case of a season 2 but the actual story. I fell head over heels for Jojo and Sun-Oh and I adored them from the first moment they were on screen but I feared that since they got together so early that the rest of the show would be full of misunderstandings and breakups and to my complete and utter disappointment that's exactly what happened. They had tons and tons of chemistry and I loved how they became a safe place for each other to rest since both were full of insecurities and childhood trauma. I also loved how in love they were and how they never wanted to part though part of me always felt like it was Sun-Oh who was more in love. It was the final three episodes that had me growling in annoyance cause like a part of me understands that Jojo was a kid but it was horrific watching her destroy Sun-Oh the way she did especially after she knew how his parents treated him but like okay I could let that go cause dramas always want a breakup and I could ignore the 4 year time jump cause again that's a beloved drama tope but it was the dating Hye-Young that really pissed me off. She didn't like him and I don't care if she thought Sun-Oh moved on or that she had no right to love him anymore, you do not date the brother or best friend of your ex! Other than that, every character in this drama was horrible from Jojo's supposed best friend to her cousin to Sun-Oh's mom who literally tried to kill him cause he annoyed her so much as a child. Overall I'd give this show a 7.5 / 10.
Melo Is My Nature (6/16): Im Jin Joo, Lee Eun Jung, and Hwang Han Joo are best friends who are 30-years-old. Hwang Han Joo is the head of a marketing team for a drama production company. She is a single mother who struggles to balance her work and personal life as she is raising a kid. Im Jin Joo is a drama writer with a lot of emotional ups and downs. Her personality is unique, talking to a luxurious purse at times. Even though she is a drama writer, she tries to write her scripts in a literary style. Lee Eun Jung is a documentary director. She runs her own production company, although she's the only employee. One of her documentaries surprisingly becomes popular overnight.

I regret that I didn't wait until this whole show aired to watch it cause I'm feeling the butterflies when there's a drama that I adore and I can't wait until the next set of episodes air! Can you believe that we watched a full episode of Jin Joo forcing Beom Soo to sit still in her living room? And it was intercut with Hwan Dong being jealous. I suck cause it isn't even SLS cause Hwan Dong is the ex but I just find him and Jin Joo so cute together especially in those flashbacks and I know they won't end up getting back together cause Beom Soo is the male lead but I just can't help it! I was also sitting there wondering why Jin Joo and Beom Soo were so confused about where to produce their drama when literally Eun Jung and Han Joo have ties to entertainment too so it's like call a friend! Han Joo is still so hilarious and deadpan about everything that it kills me. She's the only one who's story I can't tell how it's going to play out though I assume the documentary will take up the whole season though I'm thinking that maybe she'll fix her friendship with So Min and that So Min might end up helping Han Joo with her grief. I did have a thought though about Han Joo's hallucinations. Does she remember that he died or is she under the belief that he's actually really there? I also want to give a special shoutout to Eun Jung who's romance with Jae Hoon I definitely have to highlight cause they are basically the same person and it's precious. It's interesting that we're getting a male lead who struggles to leave a relationship that's not working anymore even though he's falling for someone else. At the same time I was LIVING for Eun Jung sticking it to all those sexist pigs who told her to act more cute in order to get them to do their damn jobs by acting so obnoxiously cute that she basically annoyed them into doing what she wanted. You do you girl.
FINISHED Pinocchio (20/20): The idealistic Choi In Ha has her work cut out for her when she becomes a broadcast journalist, especially when she suffers from a condition known as “Pinocchio syndrome,” which makes her break out into hiccups whenever she tells a lie. Her rookie colleagues include Choi Dal Po, whose shabby appearance masks his true eloquence and sharp memory; Seo Bum Jo, a wealthy heir who has had everything handed to him in life; and Yoon Yoo Rae, whose fangirl knowledge comes in handy in covering the news. The 20-something newbie reporters pursue justice as they try to discover themselves in the process.

Ugh you know me and my low key obsession for Lee Jong Suk's dramas cause though he's never been my type, his dramas are always so amazing and other than Romance Is A Bonus Book, I've never regretted watching one! This one had Park Shin Hye in it too so it was definitely on my watch list! I really had a lot of fun watching this drama and other than a bit of a rough start, I was so on board for everything. In Ha was fun and spunky and at first I found myself a little annoyed with her but it wasn't her fault cause she had no idea the struggles Dal Po went through so it wasn't fair to dislike her for what she said and did but as soon as she found out the truth, I was in love with her. I adored that she was so completely on Dal Po's side unlike in a lot of other dramas where she would want to take her mom's side and that even when Dal Po couldn't tell her everything, she trusted in him and trusted that he would never do anything to harm her. Of course Dal Po was a highlight of his own and the amount of times I almost cried because of him is uncountable. I loved his tenacity and his bromance with Cap Hwang and the relationship with his brother who was way too hot for this damn show and the role he was playing. I loved that he started out wanting to just support In Ha to the degree that he would work in the one field that he despised before it morphed into wanting to find the truth for his father. It was the best kind of revenge, the kind where you show your bullies that you can do well despite them. IGN was the best cinnamon roll of a company and I adored every single person in that company top to bottom whether they were comic relief or serious characters. I loved that the show started with Chief Song as the villain before morphing into Chairwoman Park just when the fight with Chief Song was getting stale. The show was so well written, well acted and honestly just well done! I'd give it a 9.5 / 10!
The Great Show (2/16): Wie Dae Han is an ex-lawmaker and is a materialistic kind of politician. He wants to get elected as lawmaker again. One day, 18-year-old girl Da Jung comes to him. She tells him that he is her real father. Her mother raised four children, including Da Jung, alone, but she died in a hit-and-run accident. Da Jung is the only one now taking care of her 3 younger siblings. Wie Dae Han accepts Da Jung and her 3 younger siblings. He carries out “The Great Show” to become a lawmaker again.

I really wasn't going to check this show out originally cause you all know my feelings about political dramas but I heard this one was more of a comedy so I figured why not try the first two episodes? After the first I was really close to dropping it cause it was just as terrible as I thought it would be but then the second episode came around and I found myself less annoyed for some reason. Maybe it's the fact that Dae Han is a good man despite acting like an asshole most of the time. Maybe it's cause I love that Dae Han and Soo Hyun are so cute together when I was expecting more of a deep hatred relationship from the start based on the stuff I heard about this show. Maybe it's the general cuteness of a guy having to suddenly take care of a bunch of kids. Either way I wasn't so bored and annoyed so I think I'll stick with this drama. I was actually really surprised that Dae Han wasn't actually Da Jung's biological father but that makes me wonder if her real dad will end up being someone important and I wonder why Da Jung thought it was Dae Han or if she knew it wasn't him but chose him cause she knew he couldn't turn them away. I think it's more of the first cause if she knew that he wasn't her dad then she wouldn't have taken the DNA test. I also wonder if Dae Han's friend faked the results cause this is a drama so I can't rule anything out! If it's that option, he's going to look like an even worse guy for abandoning his child cause despite what the truth is, the public likes to run with one idea like the fact that he lost an election just for not taking care of a father who abandoned him years and years ago and only came back to reap the benefits of a political son. If he's really and truly not the father though it'll only make him look better for taking in four children that have no relation!

Love Better Than Immortality (36/40): A woman from the future arrives at a fantasy-like universe to experience love for the first time. She goes by the name Chun Hua and falls into a complicated romance with two young men who are opposites like black and white.

Anyone else high key disappointed in Chun Hua? The first time she went out into the world after learning that Qiu Yue was her Mr Right and confirming that both love each other she allowed some random person to convince her that Qiu Yue doesn't love her and is just using her??? First of all, Wan Yu literally tried to murder Qiu Yue a few days ago so why in the world would she think that he's giving impartial advice? He's obviously looking to get revenge in the only way he can after losing his kungfu! Secondly, where was this doubt when she though Xiao Bai was her Mr Right? Despite proof over and over that maybe he wasn't as good as she thought, she refused to doubt him but just on conjecture she's over Qiu Yue? I hate that even more she showed their problems to random people especially one of the righteous track people! After literally everything she's learned over the course of her time in this world she still can't see who's got her best interests at heart? I wanted to smack her prideful face the entire time Qiu Yue was begging and pleading and trying to explain. What fantasy world is she living in if she thinks that Qiu Yue dropping everything and just living "well" will be enough to end the feud between the righteous and the evil? The righteous continuously do horrible things and then blame it on the evil ones. The first thing Xiao Bai said after he was healed was that it was time to destroy Quanyan Cavity! We also got some stuff with some poison called love entanglement and I'm not a 100% sure I understand what it does. I think Wan Yu gave it to Chun Hua so that if his plan of separating Qiu Yue and Chun Hua through words didn't work then the poison will slowly kill her cause I think the only way to stop the poison is for her to no longer love him.
The King's Avatar (38/40): In the multiplayer online game Glory, Ye Xiu is well known as the textbook level expert and a top-tier player. Due to a series of circumstances he was forcefully expelled out of his professional team. After leaving the pro gaming scene he resides at an Internet Café employed as one of the managers. When Glory launches the tenth server he throws himself into the game once more equipped with ten years of gaming experience, memories of the past, and an incomplete self-made weapon. His journey back to the top begins.

We're starting to near the end of this show with the finale airing next week and it's been a wild ride overall but this week we had so many heartwarming moments!! Even though in my heart of hearts I know that obviously Ye Xiu and Xing Xin are going to win (cause it's a drama duh) it doesn't stop me from being so anxious during every single competition. I also low key wish we would have gotten a set of rules at the top of the competition so we knew how things went! During the first game I had no idea how the point system worked until Xing Xin won at the end and during the competition this week I had no idea that winning teams are chosen by total kill points and not by winning brackets! I totally thought we were out from the competition for sure after losing once and it didn't help that everyone including Ye Xiu seemed to be giving up but I suppose it was all there just so we could have that cheer-worthy moment where all of Xing Xin came back to stand up on that stage with Ye Xiu. On the same note, does anyone know if we're in the finals against Jiashu or if we're just up against them first in the final bracket cause I'm assuming based on the fact that we're almost at the end that it is the finals but I feel like we haven't seen any of the other teams that we've gotten to know play and they deserve screen time too especially with how they completely saved Ye Xiu's career! We weren't even spared a moment to tell us that this team lost or this team won! They've all just vanished from the show's competition! Despite that I love love loved when all the other team captains stood up for Ye Xiu and how they looked at Jiashu's manager with such contempt cause they all know what went down in Jiashu despite Ye Xiu not uttering a word. I also loved when all the Xing Xin fans banded together to help Ye Xiu rebuild his umbrella cause if that wasn't the sweetest thing fans could do I don't know what is!

FINISHED Honey (1/1): Kogure Nao is a shy and cute high school student. One day, Onise Taiga asks her "would you like to date with me on the promise that we will get married?" Nao is unable to turn down his proposal because she is scared of him. Taiga has red hair and piercing eyes. His appearance gives off the impression that he is a bad boy, but he is actually considerate to others and good at cooking. After getting to know Taiga, Nao begins to have feelings for him.

Omg talk about a cute little movie! I knew going in that this was going to be a movie I adore cause there were so many tropes I adore from set in a school to bad boy falls for good girl. The male lead Taiga had this raspy voice that made him so sexy and I loved his red hair cause it's always fun when leads dye their hair and of course Nao was gorgeous and I loved how the setup was that she was scared by him only to realize that he was a really good guy. She was kind to him in the exact moment he felt like he had hit rock bottom and like I'm always so into female leads who do kind things like that for kindness's sake when in real life you should probs never give something to a stranger like that in fear of being murdered. This movie felt so different cause there really wasn't a love triangle so Nao figured out her feelings for Taiga almost like halfway in though it was clear to everyone around her that she was into him from the start. Unlike a lot of other jmovie couples, it was clear why these two were so in love with each other. She taught him how to be good and he taught her how to be strong. It was a little weird that Nao had a crush on her uncle but that disappeared quick enough so it was fine. It was even weirder though how he attacked Taiga when he first showed up. How could the uncle ask a high school kid will you protect your girlfriend more than her guardian? Like dude take a step back. It was a little sucky that we didn't get a kiss but their forehead touches honestly felt a little more romantic so I didn't mind entirely! I'd definitely give this movie a 9.5 / 10!
I Don't Love You Yet (14/16): Mitari Yo is a career woman who works for a shoemaker. She finds her work rewarding and has successfully advanced in her career. But she keeps having her heartbroken and her romantic life has not gone very well lately. Ishida Ren works for a developer and is Yo’s best friend. An ex-classmate from both high school and university days, he understands her the best and is the only person she pours her heart out to. On Yo’s 29th birthday, the two friends place a wager to give 300,000 yen as a congratulatory gift to the one who is the first to get married by the last day they are 30. Although they declare that it is impossible for them to fall in love with each other, this wager, as well as advances by Ren’s junior in the company and Yo’s reunion with her ex-boyfriend Mizusawa Ryusei, lead to gradual changes in the relationship of the two best friends.

I really do have a soft spot for jdramas but I rarely watch any other than jmovies cause jdramas tend to be really strange which you know isn't a bad thing but I just think that jdramas have the absolute cutest romances so that's what I prefer especially early 2000s jdramas. This one popped up on my drama feed though and it just looked and sounded so cute that I had to check it out! I have a soft spot for stories where friends become lovers and I don't mean the kdrama style where they're childhood friends and then are apart until they're 30 but like actual friends like in Fight For My Way or this drama. From the start I was super on board with this drama cause Yo was super feisty and passionate and Ren was just the sweetest angel. They were perfect together and it was insane to me that neither really realized how much they loved the other though as the show went on I was more and more certain that Ren had always known he loved Yo and it was Yo who was oblivious. Whenever she needed someone it was Ren she turned to and she was so jealous of Ren's girlfriend that I couldn't imagine that she wouldn't realize her feelings soon enough but unfortunately we're practically at the end and she is still fighting them. I started this drama so hopeful and excited but as episodes and episodes went on, I was drowning in the angst and just generally frustrated. The worst is that I can't even blame Yo for it all cause Ren refused to confess his feelings and waited until Ryusei the asshole came back to want to step up. What's the use of having loved someone for like 14 years if you can't speak up? This is literally second lead behavior and I'm disappointed! At least if he did confess and she rejected him then he won't have any regrets! I also really hated Ryusei who is extremely manipulative and selfish and just generally an asshole and I hated that Yo continues to bend over backwards to please him when he doesn't give a shit about her or what she wants. The finale will air next week and I know Yo and Ren will have to get together but I can't see how!
FINISHED Waiting For Spring (1/1): Mitsuki cannot readily open her heart to anyone, but she is going to turn over a new leaf in high school and change that. But how can she get along with a good-looking group of four, especially with rumors at school about how they met? Although cautious at first, she gradually gets to know their true personalities. A story about good-looking men and the insanity of youth

At this point you should all know that I have such a soft spot for jdramas set in school so like when I saw this movie pop up on my drama feed I had to watch it and while some jdrama movies are meh, this one was actually really sweet and super cute. It reminded me a lot of Daytime Shooting Star mixed with Buzzer Beat. Daytime Shooting Star cause this drama had a love triangle which I loved both sides and Buzzer Beat for the basketball obviously! When Mitsuki was with Towa, I was like yes please pick him but then when she was with Aya, I was like no wait pick him. It was a fun time and I hardcore didn't know until the very end which boy she would pick cause dramas definitely have a soft spot for childhood friends turned to lovers but at the same time Mitsuki seemed so happy around Towa. Man oh man when Aya's mom told Mitsuki all about how much Aya loved her and missed her when he was in America, I was balling like a baby and I felt so so bad for Aya. Despite that like I said, I thought Towa and Mitsuki were super cute too so I didn't mind that she picked him in the end though the reasoning behind why she fell for him was a little light. He was there for her and supported her but like so did Aya though I suppose it was just a matter of Mitsuki always thought of Aya as a boy so when she was able to fall in love, it was Towa that was there first. Mitsuki herself was a little closer to a doormat than I usually like in a female lead but she did have a backbone when it counted. I also adored her friendship with all the basketball guys and was actually surprised that Reina became a real friend cause I totally thought she'd be the evil second female lead. Overall I had a blast so I'd give this drama a 9.5 / 10!

What Shows Am I Watching This Week?

Hello everyone and welcome back! Let's dive right in shall we?

        FINISHED Deadly Class Season 1

This was a really unique show to watch that kept me glued to the edge of my seat pretty much the whole time but it was really hard to review since this show was actually cancelled after one season so we're left unsatisfied with what we watched. I originally started this show cause I saw gifs of Lana Condor on Tumblr and I was curious what show she was in after loving her in To All The Boys I've Loved Before but ironically it was Maria's character that I fell in love with instead. The idea for this show was so damn unique cause like how many other shows are about murders and teaching kids to kill? I loved the whole school setting but I low key wish we had more classes and missions though I was satisfied with the amount of kills. The only downside was that Willie as interesting as he was at first being a closet-pacifist at an assassin school ended up being such a wet blanket and I got so tired of listening to him talk about how he was better than the others cause he refused to kill. Despite that I loved all the other characters and the little family they built. Marcus was a fantastic lead cause he was the perfect amount of sociopath but also kind and I totally shipped him with Maria even though it was pretty obvious that if this show had gone on, Saya would have been his endgame cause he honestly just treated her better. Maria felt like someone he was with cause he needed love in his life and he really didn't care about her or her troubles especially in the penultimate episode where he chose to be with Saya over her. If anyone understood the guilt Maria felt about killing Chico, a man who she loved with all her heart at one point in her life, it would have been Marcus cause of what he went through after he killed someone for the first time so it just sucked that he seemed to just generally be annoyed by her. Chester was low key the worst antagonist cause he just straight freaked me out tbh but it all worked out cause there was Gao who was both understandable and totally savage.

Like I mentioned up top, this show got cancelled after one season which sucks cause the cast was diverse, the story was unique and I was super fascinated by everything but apparently no one watched this show so Syfy said no to another season.

        Poldark Season 5 Episode 6

On today's episode of Ross Is An Idiot, fortunately he was stopped from breaking Ned out of jail before he did true damage to his family and his reputation. Look I've never been a fan of Ned and I've made it just as clear as Dwight has but regardless of that, his whole circumstance was horrible and another instance of when the rich win out. Thankfully he was just hanged and not all that other horrible stuff. It's also low key ridiculous the public isn't up in arms cause a man who literally shot at the King was sent to a mental facility while Ned who apparently talked about a revolt was hanged. I'm also low key hoping that we just don't go back to London cause the politics in the city are too evil for my taste and make me long for the days of Poldark where mining was the biggest concern. Also shoutout to Dwight who actually got up on the stand and called Ned insane. Live your best life Dwight! George also got his this week when he not only had to reap the effects of taking the side of slavery in Parliament but also when he tried to marry Cecily only to have her tell him that she slept with Geoffrey Charles making her "spoiled goods." For half a second I wondered if he'd be like I don't care cause I already have an heir in Valentine so what good is another one but I think he was pretty against marrying someone who wasn't Elizabeth anyway so the smallest hiccup was a perfect excuse. Despite everything that I hate about George, his undying love for Elizabeth is just so sweet. I'm not sure how Geoffrey Charles and Cecily can have a happy ending unless her father dies but I can't entirely see the show doing that. Back in Cornwall, we find out that someone has been stealing from the mines and it turns out to be the same people who have consistently been a thorn in Demelza's side all season. I'm assuming that they're the ones who knock out Ross and throw him in that pit cause other than them, George and Cecily's father are out for blood but they don't seem to like to get their hands dirty in quite that way. Kidnapping someone feels like a commonfolk thing tbh.

Next week is the penultimate episode and it looks like shit will be hitting the fan. Ross is missing, George and co are pissed about something, Geoffrey Charles is beaten to an inch of his life, and Caroline is worried that George might be into Kitty. It also looks like the same people who captured Ross might target Demelza and Sam and Drake too and honestly I can't wait!

Young Justice Season 3 Episode 23

Wow talk about a throwback. Dick's fever dream brought back the version of Young Justice that was my favorite and Wally was there which makes it even better. I think it's honestly so sweet how much Wally and Dick loved each other and I will never lose heart in my hope that Wally will be back at some point cause this show has literally played with every comic trope except for the multiverse and the speed force so eventually when it needs something new, I believe in Wally's return! It's also super crazy cause Granny has literally an all powerful mind control device that I can't see any flaws in right now. She's enslaved a large portion of the League as well as a lot of the others heroes so now the only ones left are the Outsiders and some of the League back on Earth. I feel like the only way to stop all this will be to take the mind control thing off of Violet but Granny keeps her so close that I don't know if there will be any chance of separating the two when even a psychic blast from M'gann didn't help. I did find it funny though that Vandal Savage was the one to give intel cause like I guessed last week, he's obviously not thrilled about Darkseid getting a mind control device and at the very least in the next few episodes, we won't have to worry about the Light's politics cause they'll obviously want the League and the heroes to help. I assume that since this is the case, Granny will end up being our final boss rather than Darkseid or the Light who will probs have to be saved for later. We also got a little more of Jefferson pouting around Earth being sad about all the lies he had to deal with and I was like way over it. Build a bridge and get over it already. The show claims that Gar is still upset too but we didn't see it and he texted M'gann back so my headcanon is that he's pretty much over it cause he can see the bigger picture.

Astra Lost In Space Episode 8

What a great episode! We're still learning all sorts of new things every week and I'm consistently impressed with how into this anime I still am cause most of the time shows end up starting good and then I get bored but I've been into this show from start to finish. In fact it was some of the earlier episodes that I was kinda meh about before I fell in love! The woman we saved last week is actually an adult not a teen like I first thought and she's definitely for sure hiding something as well. She seemed shocked that 12 years had passed without something happening and I'm assuming that something was related to the end of the world cause why else send out a research team looking for new inhabitable planets? I'm still trying to connect why these kids had to suffer but like the more we learn about their parents, the more I just feel so bad for them! Zack's father is researching memory replacement and he clearly hates Zack but like is that better or worse than a parent like Yunha's who emotionally abuses her? We also learned that Funicia is a clone of Quitterie and I can't remember what Quitterie's mom does besides the fact that she's a doctor and works with Zack's dad. If Quitterie's mom can clone people and Zack's dad can replace memories, what kind of crazy schemes can they come up with? We also know Luca's dad is into genetics and I feel like the pieces are all there but I just can't put them together! On a more lighthearted note, I was dying when Quitterie confessed that she wants to marry Zack and he was like well yeah we promised when we were kids and she was like dude we were kids. Zack's not the most expressive but I do have to admit it was super sweet that he told her he loved her. I'm also still waiting to learn more about Aires cause we know something's not right with her and next week is the last planet we need to visit so things need to start coming together!

        Fruits Basket (2019) Season 1 Episode 21

As I thought it was Hana's episode this week and unfortunately it felt just as much like a filler episode that the 2001 version was making this review kind of hard cause I was pretty much meh through the whole thing and feeling meh about an episode doesn't exactly lead to a good discussion. Yuki's fanclub is just too much for me to handle tbh but it was kind of hilarious seeing Hana and Megumi scare them. It's interesting that they're so upset about Tohru taking up all of Yuki's attention but like the ironic thing is that she talks to him like a human being rather than watching him from afar so of course he's kind to her. He even talks to Hana and Uo and like again cause they treat him like a person and the saddest thing is that if they had given Yuki even the slightest kindness, he would have remembered it being as affection-starved as he was. I also really liked that this episode touched on Hana's jealously and insecurity over Tohru being so close to the Sohmas cause it's true that Tohru's been spending all her time with them but the thing is that Tohru would never make Hana feel sad if she knew it and if Hana told Tohru that she sometimes feels neglected, Tohru would definitely try to change that! It was an interesting fear cause everyone feels like that in their lives, thinking that they care for someone more than that person does whether it's romantic or platonic. On another note, I'm going to die if Kyo is relegated to side character for another episode! It feels like we spent so much time with Tohru and Yuki that he's been pushed to the side and that sucks cause he's my favorite Sohma!

I'm not sure what next week's episode will be but I'm assuming that it'll be the start of Kyo's true form arc cause I think he said something about being happy in the 2001 version during the rain at the start of that arc. We've got 4 episodes left of season 1!

        KDRAMA

Doctor John (20/32): In a refreshing take on the genre, “Doctor John” will portray the doctors’ search for the cause of their patients’ mysterious pain as a thrilling chase, almost like a detective hunting down the perpetrator behind an unsolved crime.

Ugh I am so so so beyond over the evil nurse and the annoying prosecutor. I don't know the amount of times I screamed at the tv about why they don't have lives. They're following him around for no reason and the nurse was even excited to find out that the terminal actress was about to kill herself. Like what the hell happened to your compassion and empathy? I'm extra pissed cause Yo Han somehow ended up in the same room and now he's going to be blamed for everything when there's literally no way he did it. I was really really hoping that the young residents would be able to get the actress's son to see her cause then she would be happy and that would spite our villains but of course things can't be that easy. It extra sucks cause I was just getting into our little family of doctors and I was loving their closeness and I really hope that they all support Yo Han like Shi Young and possibly Yoo Joon will. On another note the romance is building between Yo Han and Shi Young and I'm loving it. It was a little awkward at first cause it felt like Shi Young was being too clingy when she barely knows Yo Han but I think after this week it's clear that he does appreciate and kind of like it so as long as he's not freaked out, I'm okay with it. I was also living for how Yoo Joon figured out what was going on cause he's literally always a third wheel around them whenever anything sweet is happening and how he's trying to support them in his own low key way.
Hotel de Luna (12/16): Jang Man Wol is the CEO of Hotel del Luna.

Watching four episodes back to back was amazing cause I didn't have to deal with the cliffhanger between episode 10 and 11 but it was also crazy since so many heartbreaking things happened. I was sobbing when Veronica died and like she was barely a character but we've followed Sanchez since episode 1 so the fact that the love of his life died was awful to watch. It was super sweet that he got to say goodbye to her one last time though. The story with the parents who were cutting their own lifeline to save their child was super sad too but I liked how both them and Sanchez's pain were paralleled with Chan Sung's and Man Wol's about how after she leaves, it'll be heartbreaking for him. Their first kiss was absolutely lovely and felt perfectly timed and I was so thankful there was no wide-eyed shock kiss either. I do have a feeling though that Chan Sung's punishment for letting Man Wol go might have something to do with him becoming the owner of Del Luna but part of me hopes that he'll die too around the same time as Man Wol so that they can be reincarnated later. It's also hard cause I can't decide if Chan Sung is her soulmate or if the general was cause how utterly romantic was it that he stayed around for 1000 years watching over her as a firefly cause he was so guilty for what he did when he was trying to save her life. The stuff with the new vengeful spirit was fun to watch too but I was never really worried for Chan Sung's life cause Man Wol is so much more powerful than him and as an evil ghost, not only will the Reaper be after him but possibly the darker side of God and of course Man Wol too.
I Wanna Hear Your Song (12/32): A murder takes place.

We're slowly learning more about what happened in the past though I don't think we know the full story and I find that when the show leans into it's murder mystery side it hits it's stride. The official story is that Kim Ian was in a hit-and-run and Yi Young was definitely in the car but like she somehow ended up elsewhere. I have a feeling that Ian's death was planned by whoever Joo Won's sponsor was in order to get rid of Joo Won's competition but it wasn't planned for Yi Young to be in the car with him which is why Joo Won probably chased after that. The creepy dude with the scar on his hand probs stabbed him and Yi Young pulled it out freaking out and tried to escape from the creepy dude but he caught her and tossed her into that warehouse and meanwhile the truck ran over Ian causing everyone to think that it was a hit-and-run. I also don't know what role Jang Yoon's father plays in all this cause he really didn't seem to care about Ian's death but he's definitely threatening to destroy the orchestra to get Yoon to do what he wants. I'm hoping that with Yi Young being told the truth this week that she'll be able to get enough of her memory back next week that she knows it was someone else who killed Ian. I was wondering for a while how she would find out and honestly I was shocked and proud that Yoon told her himself cause shows like these never allow the protagonists to be honest with one another. I also low key hope that Yi Young and Ian weren't actually dating cause I like her with Yoon and it just feels kinda sketch to have her date both brothers.
Justice (24/32): Lee Tae Kyung is a star lawyer with the best win rate.

Somewhere early on this week when the pieces were finally being put together as to what in the world what going on in this show, I had a feeling deep in my gut that Yeon Ah's father was involved. I assumed that because he seemed like a pretty good guy overall maybe it was just once and he felt guilty about it from then on and that the others were probs blackmailing him with it which is why he hated the sight of Woo Yong so much and that turned out to be the case. I really wasn't expecting him to kill himself though in order to protect Yeon Ah but it makes sense cause Woo Yong and Tak really pushed him to the edge and seriously if anyone would understand a father trying to protect his child it would have been Woo Yong but to my surprise (and Tae Kyung's fury) this rule of protecting a child only counts towards Woo Yong's kid. For a second I really thought Tak might have killed Yeon Ah especially after seeing Tae Kyung's reaction and I would have straight lost it if that was the case. I don't know why all the bad guys keep thinking that this thing or that thing is going to stop Yeon Ah from investigating cause the more shit they pull, the hardest she bites down and I low key need Chief Prosecutor Cha to step up too cause with her added to the team, we'll be unbeatable. I was also so excited every time we got close to saving Young Mi whether it was when she tried to seduce the henchman to when she called the cops to when Tae Kyung and Yeon Ah figured out she was in Tak's basement. Young Mi's mistake was calling the cops and not Tae Kyung and I'm pissed as shit that because of that, she's been moved and now who knows where! It's all horrific but the worst was the confirmation that Woo Yong killed Tae Joo just cause of how completely destroyed Tae Kyung was about it but honestly Tae Kyung was right in that Woo Yong should have killed both Tae Joo and Tae Kyung cause like the Starks from Game Of Thrones like to say "leave one wolf alive and the sheep won't survive." I also like the low key romance that building between Tae Kyung and Yeon Ah.
Melo Is My Nature (4/16): Im Jin Joo, Lee Eun Jung, and Hwang Han Joo are best friends who are 30-years-old.

I jumped into this drama expecting a romcom and ended up crying a ton more than I expected. The best thing about this show is the writing hands down. It's snappy and witty and I adore that the comedy is just so laugh-out-loud good without the crazy slapstick comedy that a lot of other dramas use. The characters are all so fascinating and they actually feel like real mature people instead of thirty-year olds acting like teenagers. Eun Jang is the most heartbreaking of course and I cried and cried and cried watching her backstory cause I think that losing someone you love while you're still in love is the saddest thing in the world compared to a couple who broke up cause they fell out of love. It didn't help any that she tried to kill herself too and the way her friends and family came for her was everything. I am guessing that she will be the only lead to not have a love interest in this show and that we'll watch her move on from the death of the love of her life. Han Joo may be the least interesting of the trio but I kind of adore her slow building romance with her coworker and I'm pissed at her ex more than anyone of the others so I really hope he comes back at some point to see Han Joo happy and doing well cause I'm spiteful. Her son though is the epitome of why kids suck cause he's just so mean to his mom and it's like she went through so much raising him on her own. Jin Joo is our main lead cause she definitely gets the most screen time and I think she's the funniest overall cause her awkward relationship with Beom Soo is literally everything. I do hope that Hyo Bong gets more screen time cause I was totally shocked when he turned out to be gay cause the way these shows work I would have thought he would have fallen for one of the three girls but like kdramas don't like to show gay relationships so I need to know more about him!!

        CDRAMA

DROPPED Love And Destiny (23/60): Ten thousand years ago, Jiu Chen, known as the god of war, fell into a deep slumber after sealing away the demon lord. Ling Xi accidentally wakes him from his sleep and they fall in love. It is discovered that Ling Xi was born with an evil miasma that can help the demon lord break free and allow the demon tribe to rise to power. Jiu Chen refuses to kill an innocent and tries to change Ling Xi's fate. Through the encouragement of Jiu Chen, Ling Xi who was once innocent and naive transforms into a brave leader in a fight against evil.

My problem with a lot of cdramas is that I tend to start a drama really interested and then end up kinda bored towards the middle. The large episode counts for cdramas means that the story needs to ebb and flow but instead of allowing the characters to be happy and grow, the shows tend to just consistently torture our leads and I get so bored of that. A little bit of angst is a good thing but too much and I zone out. I so wanted to like this show cause I love the idea of a couple against the world and eternal devotion but it's super hard to watch our heroes consistently be outmaneuvered and honestly I'd rather spend my time on so many other things! Jiu Chen's love for Ling Xi didn't feel entirely believable and I'm not sure if it was the actor or the writing but it felt like he was kinda amused with her at first and then all of a sudden he was in love. With sixty episodes, maybe their romance should have taken longer to build and then we could go to all the Demon King stuff later which by the by I didn't care about from the start anyway but like every show needs a villain so like why not. I also hated that this show did the one thing with female leads that I can't stand and that's make them so dumb that it's inconceivable. I understand why Ling Xi was so naive at first but she asked Jiu Chen over and over why everyone kept attacking her and instead of explaining the situation he kept trying to act like nothing was wrong leading to Ling Xi acting like an idiot and putting herself in danger. In the end I'm not even halfway through and I just couldn't put myself through this show anymore and ended up dropping it.
Love Better Than Immortality (31/40): A woman from the future arrives at a fantasy-like universe to experience love for the first time. She goes by the name Chun Hua and falls into a complicated romance with two young men who are opposites like black and white.

Who else was crying like a goddamn baby this week?? Every time I watch a show like this with a right track and an evil track, I'm always surprised to find out what large hypocrites the righteous track are. They've been killing left and right all for this longevity nut that I'm like 90% sure doesn't exist at this point but blaming it all on the evil track and claiming that everything they do is for justice. Of course I'm not saying that the evil track is all good cause after what a bunch of them did to Qiuyue it's clear that they're out for themselves but what I always like is how the evil sects will tell you straight up that they're out for themselves. Fu Lou and Sisi did not deserve the ending they got and I was screaming alongside Chun Hua when I watched the so-called righteous sects be so cruel. Murdering your teacher makes you evil but beating your wife to an inch of her life is chill? Damned hypocrites. I was a little annoyed with Chun Hua in previous weeks cause of how willingly blind she was acting in her belief that Xiao Bai was the man she was destined for when it was clear over and over that though he did love her, he would still place his pride and reputation above her. Isn't it ironic when it's the evil sects who place love above all? I was cheering Chun Hua on when she told Xiao Bai to kill her cause she's going to leave with Qiuyue and honestly I was going to scream if the girl didn't realize that her true love is right next to her but luckily they're together now and I can't wait to see what happens. Unlike Xiao Bai, Qiuyue plots and schemes but he places Chun Hua above everything even when he disagrees with her. I was pissed at him for outing Xiaolei sleeping with him before but like in the end it was okay cause not only did he let her go but the people who mattered the most didn't believe it so it wasn't that big of a deal. Having said all that, part of me still does feel a little bad for Xiao Bai who's totally mourning Chun Hua right now though once again everyone keeps telling him just to talk to Chun Hua and work it out but his pride is more important.
The King's Avatar (30/40): In the multiplayer online game Glory, Ye Xiu is well known as the textbook level expert and a top-tier player.

Because I missed last week's batch of episodes, we've flown through so much plot since the last time I talked about this show and that awkwardly makes me have to skip talking about a lot of my questions cause they become answered later. Not only did Ye Xiu already build a guild, they're competing in a national competition and it's a little insane. We've got three new members to our Xing Xin guild, Wenyi, Mo Fan and Chen who I totally thought was going to be a one-off cause he was the captain of Lan Yu and I didn't think he'd want to switch teams like that especially since it was clear that Lan Yu still misses him. I was also wondering for a while what Guo's place in this show would be cause it seemed like she never played Glory so I was like you can't just be here for comedy but it turns out she's here to be the manager for the team. So far I'm pretty proud of her and honestly she's such a sweetheart that she's winning hearts left and right especially with Wenyi and Mo Fan who came for their own reasons and ended up wanting to become full members of the team after speaking to her and the others. I was wondering why there was no time skip cause despite everything our Xing Xin team are just rookies compared to a lot of the other pros so I was debating whether them winning (which like of course they're going to be the champions in the end cause duh it's tv) would make sense but after watching their first real competition, I'm feeling a lot better. Xing Xin's strength is in their teamwork and they won because of their teamwork when individual competitions didn't work out so well. I'm sure that as the competition goes on they'll do better but like also can we take a moment to talk about how horrible the Jiashi fans were? Even if Ye Xiu was that selfish in wanting fame all to himself as Jiashi claims, why in the hell would he make a new team fun of rookies rather than join an established one? I'm not too annoyed about it though cause Ye Xiu doesn't care that much so bygones and all that. It was also fun to meet Ye Xiu's twin brother Ye Qiu cause that was definitely the funniest episodes of this show and it was really sweet to see their father actually show up to a competition and see that Ye Xiu isn't just throwing his life away.
FINISHED Unexpected (23/23): A manga artist, He Jie has entered into his own manga “Crystal Love” and he must complete the mission of saving the evil second female lead, turning her into a better person before he can return back to the real world. He ended up having to keep on filling up the loopholes of his own manga again and again, forming a funny love story.

Well the show ended this week (technically it was last week but you know how I was too busy to watch tv that I ended up not being able to check it out) and overall I'm kinda meh about the ending. I started out this show hoping it would be like W: Two Worlds and at first it was just as fun but then it slowly devolved into a mess. I didn't love the final arc the show went through with Doctor Su becoming the villain cause though it made sense logically why he would end up that way, I just felt like something was missing and that it might have just progressed too quickly. All of a sudden he didn't love Bai Lian enough to sacrifice himself for her? I think that was a problem in this drama in general cause there was never a villain and at first it worked cause it was He Jie himself who was causing problems but with the plot flying by so quickly things that needed more time to develop were fixed quickly so that the next problem could pop up. The best part of this show was the romance between He Jie and Zixing but the ending was super strange cause we went through so much pain only for He Jie to come back to the manga 3 years later? Why was it okay now when it wasn't before? And on top of that Doctor Su came to the real world? The same thing happened in W: Two Worlds but in that show the hopping through worlds made sense while in this one it felt like too much of a hand wipe last minute magical solve. Despite this I do think I had fun overall so I'd give this show a 7.5 / 10!
