What Shows Am I Watching This Week?

Hello everyone and welcome back! It's a bit of a slow week cause of Coronavirus stuff but as long as there's at least one show on air, I'll be here! So let's dive right in shall we?

FINISHED 7 Seeds Season 2

As I sat down to write the review for this season of 7 Seeds, I realized that I never actually wrote a review for the first season which is totally awkward. In case you don't know this is a post-apocalyptic show where the Earth was destroyed but several groups of people were put into stasis and awoken after the Earth was livable again and there's all sorts of secrets that come out and questions about who's good and who's not. I actually really liked this season a lot more than the first and that's mostly cause I find that my favorite characters in this show are actually the ones from Summer B so with last season focusing on Spring and Autumn and Summer A, we spent almost this whole season with Summer B! I low key had to take a second to remember everything that happened in the previous season but luckily with the exile of Ango and Ryo from camp we were able to get a pretty solid recap. It was super weird how much of this season was focused on redeeming those two and like part of me wanted to fall for it but the rest of me was like while I can forgive Ryo for the murders he committed, I can't excuse Ango who really is a bad guy no matter how much brainwashing he went through cause he tried to rape Hana and that's a step too far for me. It was especially weird that the show was trying to get me to ship him with Natsu and I'm just like can we please not? Having said that I did think that it was sweet that it was the reject group of misfits that ended up showing these two military men what living was really like. I really enjoyed Natsu's development through this season too cause she went from someone who was super shy and scared all the time to someone who tried to help whenever she could and I hardcore ship her with Semimaru too. The whole arc in the ship was really interesting and I thought the way it ended was super creative but more importantly that everyone made it out alive and we were even able to get our ship up and running again!

I'm assuming that since it took almost a year between the first and second season that it'll be another year before we get the next one but whenever it comes out, I'll be here!

FINISHED ID: Invaded Episode 13

The finale for this show aired this week and I'm low key sad that this show is ending cause it's been so much fun to watch but at the same time, the story feels like it's come to a natural end and other than maybe one thing, it doesn't feel like anything is left for another season unlike most of the anime I've been watching this winter! I really enjoyed the way Sakaido and Hondoumachi outwitted the Chief and got him stuck reliving his death over and over again in Fukada's well with no way out. With Fukada dead and the eject button destroyed, there's no way for the Chief to leave and honestly he deserves this horrible eternity for all he did. The weirdest part of this whole thing was the reveal that Kiki didn't mean to put the whole police building into wells and that she wasn't working with the Chief or brainwashed which leaves me to wonder why it took Momoki talking to her for her to realize that she did wrong. On another note, it does super suck that poor Kiki has to go back into the Mizuhanome cause it's like either she does that or it's death or maybe a medically induced coma and of all the options at least as the brain of the Mizuhanome she has some sort of cognition cause Kaeru had been trying to help the brilliant detectives when she could. I do kinda wish that the show would have shown us that the wells changed with Kiki now consenting to being the brain of the Mizuhanome but I guess maybe that's a step too far for this technology? I do love that Hondoumachi and Sakaido became friends of a sort and that they work together to solve crimes now.

Batwoman Season 1 Episode 16

It was going to be hard for this show to follow up on last week's incredible episode and while at first I found myself struggling with balancing what I wanted the show to give me and what the show did, about halfway through the episode, I was all the way on board with what the show was giving me. Kate turning to Alice and helping her get Mouse out of Arkham worried me a little cause I was afraid that she wouldn't know how to deal with what happened with Cartwright which is why the twist near the end where we find out that she had been playing Alice with Jacob's help shocked me. I do wonder who's after Alice though and if it's connected to everything else that was going on with Lucius Fox's death and the clear attempt at a cover-up. Speaking of, I am super into this idea cause from the start I had been thinking that it was totally crazy of this show to not want to milk the drama that comes from a major Batman character's death and the hunt for his killer so the fact that Reggie was set up and that something big is going on is everything. I mean if the case is big enough to call for hits out on the leader and the second-in-command of the Crows, Batwoman might have found her next Big Bad! In other news, I was thrilled beyond measure that Julia Pennyworth was back cause I absolutely adored her when she first appeared and I ship her with Kate so much more than I ship Kate with Sophie for so many reasons starting with the fact that Kate feels comfortable enough to tell her everything. I was so relieved when Kate opened up and told Julia about Cartwright and Alice cause she needed someone to listen and to tell her that she's not Alice. Though they did end up kissing at the end, I have a feeling it was more of a spur of the moment type of thing than real feelings stirring which does suck a little but I'm hoping that once the door is pushed open a crack that it'll be easier to fall through it especially since it seems like Julia might be sticking around.

We didn't get a promo for next week after this episode aired cause it'll be taking a break until April 26th so I'll see you all then!

The Magicians Season 5 Episode 12

Now that we're here at the penultimate episode before the series finale, I'm totally crushed cause I want like a hundred more seasons of this show! Having said that this was an awesome episode and it was very smart of the show to leave the heist until tonight so that the last two weeks will be action packed and no one will feel let down! The Couple ended up wanting the World Seed cause they wanted to build a family but with everyone hating them in this world they wanted to start their lives in a whole new one and once again I'm brought back to why not work with our crew and ask if they could live in this new Fillory unless it's all a lie and they want power alongside a baby which I could buy. It was funny that they ended up being not as badass as I thought they were at the start or maybe we're supposed to assume that as a crew our heroes are stronger together and the only reason Alice and Kady failed so hard earlier is cause they were separated from everyone. I did love the reasoning behind having the musical episode and it's really funny cause I never feel like there's enough singing from Kady when she's clearly the best singer in the cast! I also really loved everything we got with Penny but his mom was totally awful for not wanting to help cause even if she was scared, wouldn't she want what was best for Penny being his mother and all? Low key I also don't entirely understand why the whole mother-child psychic bond is a terrible thing cause it's like psychics lives perfectly normal lives and there are ways to block the psychic powers they have so why can't Julia do that or even live with it normally? On another note we sent Fogg 17 to the same place our Fogg is and I wonder if this is how our Fogg will come back cause if the realm needs a Fogg, why not Fogg 17 over Fogg 40?

Next week is the finale and I'm interested to see how we'll wrap up all our storylines. We have to build a new Fillory, transport all of our current Fillory to the ark without bringing Rupert, destroy Fillory and then move all the Fillorians to the new Fillory all while making sure the Couple or Rupert don't stop us. I'm also sure that Julia will end up giving birth and we've obviously gotta break the mother-child golden bond too!

xoxo Allie

What Dramas Am I Watching This Week?

So here's what I'm watching this week! Of course the list is split by country and the amount of episodes I've seen so far are written below! There will be spoilers from now on so if you aren't caught to the episode number on list, you might want to go watch that episode and then come back! If you're interested in previous reviews, click here and if you want to see a list of my Favorite Asian OTPs and Ships, click here!

KDRAMA

365: Repeat The Year (4/24): A story where ten people get the chance to go back in time by one year, but unexpectedly mysterious situations start to arise when their fates are changed and twisted in the process. Ji Hyung Joo is a detective in the violent crimes division. He used to be part of the traffic police but was promoted when he arrested a wanted criminal. It's been seven years since the change, and he's a talented individual who always knows how to relax. Though he is happy at first to have the chance to go back in time by one year and "reset" his life, he begins to search for the truth when a series of mysterious events befall on the group of people he goes back in time with.

It's low key ironic how every show I watch is practically off the air here in the states but at the same time it's kdrama premiere week! This drama was one I was looking forward to for a while and it's probs super obvious why I checked this one out right? Nam Ji Hyun! I adore that woman to pieces and I've loved everything I've seen her in so far so I was pretty excited to check this drama out and now that I have, it's absolutely incredible! It might be the best thriller airing right now (not that it has much competition tbh) and I can't wait to see what happens! Even though I low key knew what this show was going to end up being based on the synopsis, as I was watching, I was totally mesmerized and forgot everything! I was sitting here like oh what a lovely fantasy and then bam death after death and plot twist after plot twist! Hyung Joo and Ga Hyeon are the main characters of this show and cause of that we spent the most time with them which is why I low key ship them already but since there's no romance tag for this show, I have a feeling they'll just be friends. Either way they're both really smart and totally badass in their own ways and like I said, I already love their dynamic duo which started with hunting down Ga Hyeon's hit-and-run killer but now will obviously shift into whoever is killing all the reset victims. I wondered if maybe one of the crew we met at the start would end up being the killer like a Missing Nine type situation and it's totally possible that's still true though it doesn't explain why two of the three currently dead died of accidents which makes me think that someone at the reset facility is doing it. Maybe this whole sending people back thing was meant to be an experiment to test some technology so they're being killed to keep it all hush hush? I also wonder if Hyung Joo's detective squad will ever be let in on the secret or if the reset crew will be the only ones to find the truth.
A Piece Of Your Mind (2/16): An innovator in the world of artificial intelligence programming, Moon Ha Won has made quite a name for himself in the AI industry. The founder and brain behind the popular portal site, M&H, Ha Won is a man everyone knows. A man devoted to his work, everyone knows he doesn’t take what he does lightly and expects his employees to follow suit, but he’s also known as a kindhearted, rational thinker, who never gets angry and never loses his cool. An ideal man, with a soft heart, Ha Won believes that when it comes to love, having even a small fraction of his love’s heart is enough to sustain him. But that theory is put to the test when Han Seo Woo wanders into his world. A classical music recording engineer, Seo Woo hasn’t had the easiest life. With no family to support her, and no place to call home, Seo Woo has spent the majority of her life wandering and alone. Despite her difficulties, Seo Woo has managed to keep an open and optimistic mindset, believing that all things happen for a reason. Wandering down the path life has laid before her, Seo Woo soon finds herself crossing paths with Ha Won. As the two begin a journey together, they come to find that sometimes two different halves really can make a whole.

I wasn't exactly sure what I was getting into when I checked this drama out cause I went in pretty much entirely cause of the main leads and how I loved them in other stuff but I was a little hesitant too cause the vibe I was getting from this show was the same as When The Weather Is Fine and I really wasn't a fan of that one. Having seen the first two episodes, I have to say that it's definitely exactly what I expected. There's this melancholic tone to the whole show and it's clear that what we're getting is a slice-of-life about healing but it's so strange to me the way the show is written. I was confused during so much of this premiere but I don't think it's the fault of this show cause it's clear it doesn't want to reveal the whole story yet so like Seo Woo, we're just getting hints and pieces of the puzzle in order to solve the mystery. So far based on what I'm gathering, it seems like Ha Won loved Ji Soo but she fell in love with In Wook and married him but then found out that In Wook did something terrible in the past which I have a feeling is related to Ha Won and his mother's death cause whatever the mistake was it was enough to not only send Ji Soo into a depressive spiral but also cause In Wook to command Ji Soo not to contact Ha Won cause they'll only hurt him. Meanwhile I think Ha Won wanted to record her voice and use it in the next AI robot he makes so that he has a version of her next to him. The whole thing just feels horrible cause the way the story played out makes Ji Soo feel like a bit of a bitch for only turning to him when things are bad in her marriage but also Ha Won is kind of an idiot for still loving her 10 years later when she's been married for so long! It makes it so much worse that I'm pretty sure Ji Soo just died in Norway and it's like Seo Woo was her last call and if that isn't enough to make a woman guilty for life, I don't know what is!
Find Me In Your Memory (8/32): The story revolves around a man with hyperthymesia, a condition that gives people the ability to remember an abnormally vast amount of their life experiences in vivid detail, and a woman who has forgotten the most important moments of her life. The two people with similar scars fatefully cross paths one day and come to love each other. Jeong Hoon is an anchor of a news show which has the highest ratings. Jeong Hoon’s handsome face and perfect body figure make him look good in a suit. Unlike his gentle appearances, he becomes a tyrant all of a sudden and starts asking aggressive questions to whoever it is. Because of hyperthymesia, he remembers every single thing happening in 365 days a year ever since his childhood. He can’t forget the memory of the woman he loved, Seo Yeon, who disappeared 8 years ago. A rising star who attracts everyone’s attention, Ha Jin, appears in front of Jeong Hoon at that moment. Despite all the attention, Ha Jin doesn’t waver and keeps her confidence. However, she has a secret that her memory is fading away. The man who cannot forget and the woman whose memory is fading away. Will they be able to overcome their difficulties, understand each other, and fall in love at the end?

Okay so I'm hardcore in love with this show which is honestly so shocking cause I didn't think this show was all the special when it started but now I'm like this is the perfect rom com for me! I was actually pretty wrong about Ha Jin's memory problems but I'm glad that I was wrong cause we don't need both leads to be ticking time bombs! As it turns out Ha Jin was so distraught by Seo Yeon's death that she was suicidal and in the end her mind wiped all of her memories of Seo Yeon. It doesn't exactly explain why the two are so similar other than I guess two people who have known each other since they were kids probs have the same interests but the suspicious part of me is still wondering if there's more drama to the story. Like what if Ha Jin saw Jeong Hoon first but Seo Yeon ended up dating him even though she knew that Ha Jin liked him so she tried to keep them apart? It's also super sketchy that the man who killed Seo Yeon is now targeting Ha Jin unless it's someone totally different and it's just really a reason for Jeong Hoon to be around Seo Yeon more cause I mean scratching out someone from photos is a pretty normal stalker creep move. I also think it's really interesting that Jeong Hoon found out so quickly about Ha Jin's memory problem but at the same time I love it cause it now gives him a reason to connect with Ha Jin and a reason to stop being so cold to her too. I think that as he helps Ha Jin remember Seo Yeon, he'll fall in love with Ha Jin and it'll be adorable! As a sidebar anyone else find Yoo Sung Hyeok aka the older doctor low key sketchy? Something about the way he scolded Tae Eun about not getting close to Jeong Hoon was just weird.
Hospital Playlist Season 1 (3/12): A drama depicting the stories of people going through their days that seemingly ordinary but actually special, at the hospital, a place known as the microcosm of life - where someone is being born and someone's life meets their ending. The five doctors are long time friends of 20 years who started their undergrad in 1999 in the same medical school, and now they are colleagues in the same hospital. The drama will also deal with a story of a band formed by the group of doctors.

I think I was right in guessing that though we get a look at all five of our main characters each week, we really only focus on one. Ik Jun that was the focus this week and it's kinda ironic cause Jo Jung Suk is the most recognizable actor in this show so I went in thinking that he would be the male lead while the others would be more of the supporting main characters but he was the one who got the least airtime until now! We knew that he was married and had a son but we hadn't seen his wife or even heard mention of her until this week where we found out so much and had our hearts broken for him! As it turned out Jung Won was the one to introduce Ik Jun to his wife but she's been living in Germany for the past year and a half which the two decided was the best course of action even though Ik Jun offered to go to Germany with her. Now that she's back, she wants a divorce and as we find out later in the episode it's because she has fallen for another man. To make things even worse Ik Jun's sister ended up arriving at the hospital in the end but hopefully she's not too hurt cause I can't see poor Ik Jun even more shattered when he's the most positive one of the group! In other news, it turns out Gyeo Wool now has a crush on Jung Won after he yelled at her last week but he's still struggling with his desire to become a priest. Romantic feelings might also be growing between Song Hwa and one of her residents which is totally sweet cause I love Ahn but also interesting cause I totally thought she'd end up with one of our men. As a sidenote I also really enjoyed Jun Wan's case this week with the baby which I thought deserved a shoutout cause even if I like the character interactions more than the cases, the cases are never boring either!
FINISHED I Need Romance Season 1 (16/16): Sunwoo In Young (Jo Yeo Jung) has been dating the same man for the past 10 years and, at 33 years old, is waiting for the big question. When she finds out he's cheated on her, she flat out breaks up with him, determined to continue her life. At the same time, her best friends Park Seo Yeon (Choi Yeo Jin) and Kang Hyun Joo (Choi Song Hyeon) face their own relationship problems. A sex-and-the-city style story about three woman who face the ups and downs of being career minded at an age where society expects them to be married.

I started this show cause I had seen recommendations that it was similar to A Gentleman's Dignity or like an older version of Age Of Youth. I adore shows about a group of friends who are looking for love without a lot of the extra kdrama craziness but something about this show just didn't work for me. I know it's been praised for treating romance like real life and everything but honestly the only thing I think this show did good was treat sex and relationships like they were normal and none of our characters (except one but that was her character which made it okay) acted as though being a 30 year old virgin who held hands for the first time was something to run away from. Having said that I think my biggest problem was that I just couldn't get into any of the romances for any of the girls. Okay look I hate cheating and everything but I never struggled with the fact that In Young got back with Sung Soo cause it was clear from the start that In Young never felt for Sung Hyeon even a fraction of what she felt for Sung Soo but seriously if the show needed one of the three main girls to end up alone, it should have been In Young. If I'm being honest, neither man was all that great with all the lying and need to change her! Seo Yeon and Hyun Joo's relationships didn't get enough screen time either and that's hilarious cause I enjoyed their storylines more. Seo Yeon taking on the normal male lead playboy storyline was everything but I hated that she ended up alone cause if she was a dude she'd have gotten the girl! Hyun Joo on the other hand was super cute with Deok Soo but we barely saw them together so much so that there's just nothing to say about them! I am planning on watching the next two in this series and I'm hoping that I'll enjoy them more. Overall I'd give this drama a 6.5 / 10.
FINISHED I Need Romance Season 2 (16/16): The plot is centered around the 10 year relationship between Yoon Seok Hyun and Joo Yeol Mae, who have been repeatedly breaking up and getting back together the entire duration of their relationship. Tired and looking for love elsewhere, Joo Yeol Mae turns her attention to Shin Ji Hoon and leaves Yoon Seok Hyun to look on with envy.

Here's the thing. I wasn't the biggest fan of season 1 of this series and cause of that it left me struggling to force myself to get to the mental place where I could watch this season. When I finally got around to it, I found myself not only enjoying this drama a ton more than the first season but also a lot more than I expected to in general which was a nice surprise. The thing that this season did so much better than the first (beyond the fact that I melted every time Seok Hyun was on screen cause Lee Jin Wook is just too sexy for this world) is the relationship between Yeol Mae and Seok Hyun. Whether they were dating or not, it felt like they loved each other more than anyone else and that love never felt it was just an obligation. The two had tons of chemistry together and though I never got SLS, I do have to admit that if I was Yeol Mae, I would have given up on Seok Hyun ages ago cause the way he was so cold all the time would exhaust me. The two were like fire and ice in terms of who they were and I really didn't love the reason why Seok Hyun kept pushing her away. After knowing each other for almost 30 years and having dated for 10 of those, you would think that he would know that regardless of whether they were dating or not, him leaving this world would kill her! I was also super pissed at the ending cause you know I hate time skips and I hate it more when a time skip is meant to solve all the problems between our main couple when it's like literally nothing changed in the circumstances that led up to the time skip! Is he no longer worried about the disease in his family? Will they never get married? On another note, I did end up loving both the side couples in this season too but I definitely loved Jae Kyung's love line more and it made me happy that they all got happy endings too. Overall I'd give this season a 8 / 10 cause I ended up enjoying it a lot more than I thought I would and here's hoping the third season is fun too!
FINISHED Itaewon Class (16/16): On the first day of attending his new high school, Park Sae Ro Yi punches his classmate Jang Geun Won, who was bullying another classmate. The bully is the son of CEO Jang Dae Hee. The bully's father runs restaurant business Jangga where Park Sae Ro Yi’s own father works. CEO Jang Dae Hee demands to Park Sae Ro Yi that he apologizes to his son, but Park Sae Ro Yi refuses. Because of his refusal, Park Sae Ro Yi gets expelled from school and his father gets fired from his job. Soon, an accident takes place. Park Sae Ro Yi’s father dies in a motorcycle accident caused by his ex-classmate Jang Geun Won. Burning with anger, Park Sae Ro Yi viciously beats Jang Geun Won. He is soon arrested and receives prison time for violent assault. Park Sae Ro Yi decides to destroy the Jangga company and take revenge upon CEO Jang Dae Hee and his son Jang Geun Won. Once Park Sae Ro Yi is released from prison, he opens a restaurant in Itaewon, Seoul. Jo Yi Seo, who is popular on social media, joins Park Sae Ro Yi’s restaurant and works there as a manager. She has feelings for Park Sae Ro Yi.

The finale for this show aired this week and honestly guys I'm left feeling a little bereft... Like I can't help but feel like the final arc of this show with Yi Seo being kidnapped by Geun Won was so out of nowhere and felt like it came from a different show. We've been watching a show about two businessmen outwitting each other with a dash of found family and restaurant antics but all of a sudden this became about hostages, gangs and murder? Um no thank you tonal shift. I do suppose that for someone as stubborn as Saeroyi, something like a kidnapping would be the only way to get him to realize his feelings but like at the same time he sort of figured out that he loved Yi Seo before all that happened. Having said that, I don't exactly want to let that dampen my whole experience with this show though cause I did enjoy so much of it and even in this finale there were a ton of moments I adored. My blood boiled when Saeroyi had to kneel in order to get Jang to tell him where Geun Won was but at the same time I loved that he called out Jang for being even more pathetic than how he felt at that moment for resorting to this. It made the moment later when Jang kneeled for Saeroyi as a last resort to save Jangga even more poignant! Saeroyi's declarations of love for Yi Seo were everything too and I lived for every time he did it whether it was to her or someone else! Yi Seo's mom also deserves a shoutout for being the same badass Yi Seo was cause she was hilarious. I do wish that Hyun Yi and Seung Kwon had ended up together cause the hints weren't enough for my taste and I do think Soo Ah's sudden about-face felt even more out of nowhere than the kidnapping arc cause I don't know if I believe that she had been playing Jang the whole time to get revenge after everything she did and how hard she worked for him. Overall though I did have a blast with this show and how it tackled so many difficult topics like race and being transgender so I can't help but give it a 9 / 10!
FINISHED Lie To Me (16/16): Gong Ah Jung, a level 5 Ministry of Culture official, gets entangled in a web of lies when she mistakenly lies that she's married to Hyun Ki Joon, a noble hotel manager from an affluent family. Their relationship is further complicated when Ki Joon's ex-fiance and a close friend of his brother's, Oh Yoon Joo, reappears in his life.

I started this show cause I thought the synopsis sounded funny enough even if I didn't particularly have any huge amount of love for the actors in this drama and I found myself so in love with what I experienced from start to finish! Ah Jung was the absolute best from her quirkiness to her confidence and I low key loved how she was so selfish and worried about how others saw her cause it made her feel so much more real than most kdrama female leads! Ki Joon was so much more expressive than I expected him to be as the typical cold male lead and I want to give a shoutout to Kang Ji Hwan who played him cause you could see Ki Joon's growing affection for Ah Jung in every one of his expressions and body language! I was worried at first that I might have SLS seeing as Sung Joon was playing the second male lead but surprisingly enough after the first few episodes I was 100% on Ki Joon's side cause the chemistry between our leads was out of this world! I do have to admit that the show went through this weird change during the back half of the drama where suddenly our leads went from these sizzling kisses to struggling to hold hands and it didn't help that the show felt like it low key ran out of plot after the two admitted that they loved each other. I didn't mind the love square as much as I thought I would cause I totally understood Ki Joon's struggle but the whole thing with his aunt going back and forth about the women in his life was exhausting. Having said that I do admit that my interest in this show really ramped up once the lying stopped and the feelings became real so it's a mixed bag in terms of plot! Overall I'd give this show a 8 / 10 cause two thirds of this drama were just so good that it kind of makes up for the mess of the final third!
Memorist (6/16): Dong Baek has an extraordinary ability. He can peer into the memories of whoever he touches. With his supernatural power, get it done attitude, and eye-pleasing looks, he is fervently revered worldwide as a superstar detective. However, when his punches meet with suspects before words, he can be a bit of a headache to his comrades. Starting from the age of twenty, Han Sun Mi is the youngest to have passed the bar exam, obtain a doctorate in criminal psychology, and become a senior superintendent in the police force. Having solved five cold cases that even a detective with supernatural powers couldn't do, she is a genius profiler. She has a secret that drives her to do what she does. These two highly-skilled professionals meet their match—a serial killer with abilities that transcend theirs combined. It's going to be a fight worth watching.

Something about this drama isn't working for me and I can't decide if it's cause the writing keeps making us jump from one thing to another without giving us enough time to stew in anything long enough to process it or if it's the writing of the characters or if it's cause the show won't explain what the bigger plot is. I mean last week I thought it was Park Gi Dan that we would be hunting but then it felt like it would be the Executioner but by the end of the episode it feels like we've either caught the killer or one of the accomplices. It would really be something if the Executioner is actually connected to everyone in high positions from Jo Sung Dong to Deputy Chief Lee to maybe even the head prosecutor whoever that is. It would explain why everyone keeps covering up everything and why no one has been able to catch the Executioner after all this time when Dong Baek and Sun Mi figured it out in a few minutes. I do have to admit that the whole traumatic pasts that connect our leads was totally out of nowhere and honestly not needed cause it's not like either lead can ignore a case if it's not connected to them but I'm hoping that this will be what finally gets the two to work together cause I'm tired of watching them mistrust each other and seriously things would go faster when they work together. I did low key love the reveal though that the reason everyone lost memories of the death they saw was cause they were gassed and not due to a supernatural thing so to them it felt like no time had passed but in actuality there was enough time to murder someone and leave but how Dong Baek doesn't know if he believes that cause it gives our serial killer an ace-up-his-sleeve when it really gets bad in the future.
Meow, The Secret Boy/Welcome (4/32): A graphic designer in her mid-twenties, Sol Ah harbors dreams of becoming a web-based comic author and has always had a love-hate relationship with cats. But Sol Ah’s life changes fast when she brings home a friendly feline. It turns out, however, that this is not any old cat. Named Hong Jo, he can take human form. Hong Jo becomes exceptionally fond of So Ah, and goes to great pains to hide his human identity from her. He soon proves that he will do anything that is required in order to stay near her. Will Hong Jo manage to keep his identity a secret? And what could be in store for this remarkable feline-human duo as their relationship deepens?

What a crazy creative idea for a show guys! Of course I was super excited for this drama cause L and Shin Ye Eun are the main leads and I adore both of them so I was interested to see if they would create something cute together but seriously this show is killing me in all the right ways!! I have never wanted a cat more than after I watched this drama and I've always been a cat person! The show has this warm cozy vibe to it and feels like a fun slice-of-life rather than a tragedy unlike pretty much everything else I'm currently watching though I do wonder if this show will have any Japanese vibes to it cause this sort of concept is usually a popular anime trope. L is seriously killing it with his acting picks recently cause he must know that he's one of the cutest actors out there so going from an angel to a cat is everything. I'm serious guys! I don't even care about the plot of this drama as much as I look forward to seeing Hong Jo be all cute! I do wish that the plot had Sol Ah know Hong Jo's secret from the start cause I do love when a show has a couple that share secrets from the world and not each other. With the synopsis saying that Hong Jo will try to keep Sol Ah from knowing the truth, I'm just low key going to be waiting around for the secret to come out but with Hong Jo showing up as a human in the end of this premiere I have a feeling that Sol Ah is going to think that he's the son of the woman her father wants to marry and that he lives upstairs which will give us a reason to see Hong Jo more in his human form rather than his cat one. Speaking of, I'm also really curious about what happened between Sol Ah and Jae Sun cause both seem to think that the other abandoned them and if I had to guess, I'd say Sol Ah was the one to accidentally do something that made Jae Sun think that she didn't want to be together cause something about Jae Sun feels like he was the heartbroken one.
FINISHED Tell Me What You Saw (16/16): "Tell Me What You Saw" is a suspense thriller about a genius profiler named Oh Hyun Jae who has lost everything, and a detective with photographic memory named Cha Soo Young who work together to track down a serial killer. Other members include, team leader Hwang Ha Young who sets the plan, ambitious investigation team member Choi Hyung Pil, and veteran detective Yang Man Soo.

I'm not sure how I feel about this show coming to an end this week cause it started out so strongly and ended kind of with a whimper. I really dislike when villains are at their peak badness but suddenly start doing the dumbest things as a way for the writers to give our heroes the win they need. If a show can't write a good way to catch the villain, they shouldn't be writing investigation dramas like this! I was also not thrilled with how small of a character Soo Young ended up being. I knew from the start that Hyun Jae was the male lead but I had hoped that Soo Young would have had a bigger role in this show! I mean the serial killer literally turned out to be her best friend and her reaction boiled down to a few tears and Dong Shik spent all his time trying to torture Hyun Jae without even a thought for her. Was there a point to her amazing memory if Hyun Jae and Ha Young were able to figure everything out on their own? I also really dislike the way it portrays cops. Like okay on the one hand I understand the higher ups and their corruption cause it's more common for cop kdramas to have corrupt cops and I could let Ha Young's reaction to Dong Shik being the killer in that interrogation room go cause of fear but the fact that she didn't shoot him at the end of episode 15 either when he was threatening to blow up the prison transport vehicle was ridiculous! Like damn the police higher ups clearly want to hide what happened with him so it's not like IA is going to arrest Ha Young for firing her gun! Rating this show was so hard cause like I said I really enjoyed a lot of the weekly cases and it wasn't until we focused on the overarching villain that this show became a mess so I guess in the end I'd want to give it a 8 / 10 for what most of this show was rather than the final moments.

What Shows Am I Watching This Week?

Hello everyone and welcome back! Let's dive right in shall we?

          ID: Invaded Episode 12

What an insane penultimate episode! Like I thought last week, there was no way the Chief would be arrested quietly and I was really curious about what his plan would be but it seems like he had somehow hoped to be the best brilliant detective in the world by making the whole police building a Mizuhanome. I assume that he would lead the charge with his ability to move through any id well that he wants with how connected he's been to Kiki's mind but I'm not entirely sure how that would work. Can he jump into the wells of people not in this building or do they need to bring the criminals here? The first option would make sense in terms of his convictions about having a sense of justice cause then he could find every serial killer in the world and stop them before they even do anything. I'm also really confused about why Kiki is helping him. Is she so far gone that she really has no brain of her own? I did think it was super creative to have the fight be in the id wells with Hondoumachi and Sakaido leading the charge but also to have Momoki and Hondoumachi's ex partner work to stop Kiki. I wonder if Sakaido and Hondoumachi would be able to find the other cops cause if Fukada could hop around wells with them while he was just himself then they could too right? Speaking of Fukada, anyone else low key love the strange relationship between Hondoumachi and Fukada? I keep getting these odd romantic tones between them but maybe that's just the shipper in me cause it would be damn weird if the serial killer who tried to kill Hondoumachi ended up being the man she loved in the end. I do think however that we're supposed to see that they're two sides of the same coin and I do love that.

          Batwoman Season 1 Episode 15

Watching this episode of Batwoman I was stunned with how good it was. I mean when I think back to how cheesy and strange the first few episodes of this show were and even what insanity Supergirl is right now, I'm honestly so proud of this show for what it has become. It's just as dark as I would have expected a live-action Batman show to be and though I still wish that more of the Batman universe was evident in this show, I do adore the writing and where this show is going. I mean Kate really killed someone this week and though it was accidental and partially his fault too for having cut his own throat, it's going to haunt her for a while. I can't imagine that this will do anything more than push Kate into Alice's arms but I do hope that Jacob doesn't turn on Kate cause he himself was ready to kill August when he found him cause Kate needs the support from him. It was interesting paralleling how Kate and Alice both committed their first murders after finding out what the Cartwright family did to their mother but it really just strengthens how insane that family was. I keep hoping that something will snap Alice back to who she was before all this or hoping that something that Kate or Jacob do will make her want to be better but maybe it's too early in the season for that cause if that would happen it would be a season finale type moment. I did enjoy Jacob and Kate working together though cause it's something I really wanted from this show and we're also clearly moving forward in the Mary and Luke relationship which I'm loving how much of a slow burn it is and that we're not going from 0 to 100.

Next week's promo looks crazy in that Alice wants to break Mouse out of Arkham and she not only asks Kate for help but Kate agrees and I'm like well I guess Kate's going to be going on a downward spiral.

The Flash Season 6 Episode 15

I don't know if this week's episode was truly as emotional as it was or if I was in a sad mood after watching Batwoman just before this but either way I teared up multiple times during this episode. As it turned out we still have no idea why Eobard is considered to be a Wells and is latching onto Nash like the other multiverse of Wells or why only the Wells of the multiverse are combining and not any other doppelgängers. Ironically the characters themselves brought this up only to be like you know what who really cares about the why. He was planning on taking over Nash's body through Nash's pain but after Nash finally confronted what happened with Maya and how she died, he was able to dispel Eobard from his body though Eobard is still not actually dead. With the idea that he's now searching the world for a new body to enter, I have a feeling that a future season will have Eobard return as the Big Bad only in a different body so Team Flash will have no idea what's happening until it's too late. I do wish though that if we had to have picked one Wells to live on, it would have been Harry and with the multiverse collapsing, it feels like we'll permanently have Nash which low key sucks. In other news every week I get more and more exasperated with Eva cause I just want to know what her evil plan is! I do have a feeling that it has something to do with hurting her husband cause I'm sure she's furious that he gave up on her but if that's the case then why does she need to trap our heroes and replace their bodies? She should know that they want to take him down too and it's like the enemy of my enemy is my friend and all that! It's also super annoying that people aren't picking up that Mirror Iris is not Iris which really should make Iris feel terribly cause it's like the people that love her the most can't tell that something's not right!

We're taking a few weeks off so the next episode of Flash will be airing on April 21st which is the struggle cause the promo looks pretty good. It seems like Barry is running out of speed and Mirror Iris was told to drain the rest but I have a feeling that even if Barry does run out that he'll be able to build his own Speed Force by the end of the episode.

Legends Of Tomorrow Season 5 Episode 8

This was a bittersweet episode of Legends cause despite how hilarious it was, it was also the last episode that would have Ray and Nora in it. The Legends went to Shakespearean London in order to find the first piece of the Loom Of Fate which ironically are in the form of rings and I'm hardcore starting to worry that the Loom is going to be as big of a Mcguffin as the Spear Of Destiny was. I also have a feeling that the demon that Astra is working with will end up being one of the Fates cause not only did she seem to be a little too interested in what Constantine was working on but in Greek mythology the Fates are usually found in the Underworld and with Charlie having come from Hell last season, I can see the other Fates being down there. From a meta standpoint, it'll also be more impactful if the Fates are people we already met. Beyond that the main thrust of the episode had to do with Ray and Nora deciding that they wanted to start their new lives off of the Waverider and Ray's inability to tell Nate that he was leaving cause it was too hard. It was totally hilarious that the show decided to mirror Ray and Nate's final goodbyes back to back with Zari and Constantine acting out Romeo and Juliet but it was also totally sad to see how distraught the guys were. I do think this was a lovely sendoff for Ray despite all the behind-the-scenes stuff cause at least we know that Ray will be living happily ever after unlike so many of the other cast members we lost over the seasons. Mick was also struggling with the idea of having a daughter but I think with Mona telling him that she was better off after having met him that he'll go back and try to reach out again. Also as a sidebar I totally want to shout out Zari and Constantine for totally getting into their acting during the play cause for a whole minute there I was like wait do these two have more chemistry than Nate and Zari?

The next episode of Legends will be airing on April 21st which super sucks cause Legends has already finished filming this season so we shouldn't be getting a break like the other Arrowverse shows! The promo wasn't very helpful though cause it seemed to be a mashup of the rest of the season rather than the next episode but the title seems to suggest that it'll be a Zari episode which you all know that I'm super down for!

The Magicians Season 5 Episode 11

With this being the 3rd to last episode of this show, it seems we're in the endgame now! I'm still high key heartbroken that this show had to come to an end cause there's nothing else on tv like this right now (though Legends makes me just as happy with it's kookiness.) I'm also still a little worried that with the cancellation order coming after this season was already done that the final episode might end on a cliffhanger but that's a problem for another day. We were back on Earth this week with everyone deciding that the only way to stop Rupert and the Takers would be to move all of the Fillorians onto one of Umber's miniature pocket dimensions and destroy Fillory after which they use the World Seed to create a new Fillory. Fen was really against this and low key I think it's a ridiculous plan too but after watching our crew literally move the moon, I have faith that this might actually happen! The most interesting part in all this was that the Questing Pig that visited Julia revealed to us that we were the Apocalypse after all so in a way him showing up to warn of the end was what led to it in a very Greek tragedy sort of way. Hymen came back to life, Margo and Josh are together again, and we found out that Marina was after the World Seed too so she ended up helping Alice and Kady get the heist book she made to steal from the Couple. What's worse is that the Couple got Dean Fogg from the other timeline to help them steal the magic casting dials so now they have everything they need to use the World Seed. It does suck that we don't know what the Couple wants cause it's like what are the chances that we can go to them and be like can you make a new Fillory instead of whatever planet you want to make? I do have to admit that my favorite scene in the whole episode was definitely the one with Penny 23 and Julia when he told her the story of how his mother lost her mind because of him being born with magic and how scared he was that Julia would end up the same way. It was absolutely heartbreaking and I ship these two so hard!

As I mentioned next week is the penultimate episode and it looks like it'll not only be the heist which are always great but it'll also be the musical episode which is even more awesome!!

          KDRAMA

Find Me In Your Memory (4/32): The story revolves around a man with hyperthymesia, a condition that gives people the ability to remember an abnormally vast amount of their life experiences in vivid detail, and a woman who has forgotten the most important moments of her life.

You know I had next to no expectations going into this show with how I didn't feel too strongly about either the plot of this show or the actors behind it but oddly enough sometimes that's the best way to start a new show cause then you end up enjoying it a lot more than you expected it to. I do think the idea of hyperthymesia is a little cheesy and I have the feeling that there's more magical medical kdrama nonsense to be had in this show in the future but overall I think the story's pretty cute. The age gap doesn't bother me here and I can already seen the chemistry between our leads! Jung Hoon isn't the cold male lead I thought he would be and I low key love how he teases those he cares about and how good he is at his job. I love that he has such a good relationship with all the people around him including his bosses so there won't be any tension there. Ha Jin is adorable and I love how cheery she is and how little she cares about how people criticize her. As we found out, Seo Yun and Ha Jin were best friends when they were younger but it looks like Ha Jin has completely forgotten about her past cause though the show hasn't outright said it yet, the synopsis of this show tells us that Ha Jin has memory problems. Jung Hoon is already seeing Ha Jin as an echo of Seo Yun and I have a feeling that instead of it being because the two were friends and shared the same interests, it'll end up being because of something like Seo Yun giving Ha Jin her heart after she died which is why Ha Jin fell for Jung Hoon after seeing him once. If this is true I'll be able to excuse the whole insta-love thing cause it was the one part of this show that I was really like this is too much. It's also kinda fun that we've also got a fake relationship plot line in this show cause I'm always down for more of that!
Hospital Playlist Season 1 (2/12): A drama depicting the stories of people going through their days that seemingly ordinary but actually special, at the hospital, a place known as the microcosm of life - where someone is being born and someone's life meets their ending. The five doctors are long time friends of 20 years who started their undergrad in 1999 in the same medical school, and now they are colleagues in the same hospital. The drama will also deal with a story of a band formed by the group of doctors.

There's something just so nice and calming about this show in the way that I wish I'll Go To You When The Weather Is Fine was for other people. I've actually never seen a medical drama like this where the focus is on our characters and their lives and their patients with no major hospital politics! I love that our five main characters are so close but I also love that they're all in different departments and that we have minor characters who work with them so the hospital feels real and not just like there's one doctor who does everything while everyone else watches or is busy with politics. I also really like that it feels like every week we'll be focusing on a different of the main characters and giving them a little spotlight cause last week we spent time with Jung Won and this week we were with Song Hwa. Part of me already ships Song Hwa and Jun Wan cause they're so alike but another part of me likes the idea that these people just have awesome male/female friendships without the hidden romance especially after Song Hwa's ex asked Jun Wan if he liked her cause otherwise there would be no reason for him to butt into their problems and I loved Jun Wan's answer of you have no friends right cause it drives me mad when shows do this! If my friend's boyfriend was cheating I sure as hell would be telling my friend! Jung Won is still my favorite but I have a feeling that the show is setting up a romance with Dr Jang and it's strange we still haven't met Ik Jun's wife yet!
Itaewon Class (14/16): On the first day of attending his new high school, Park Sae Ro Yi punches his classmate Jang Geun Won, who was bullying another classmate.

So much happened this week with the show's last episodes before the finale that I don't even know where to begin! I was honestly really surprised that the show did everything I said last week with Hyun Yi and that she ended up winning the competition which led to Danbam being able to be franchised so when we jumped forward 4 years, Saeroyi and all the others were basically living their best lives although they were still only the number 2 food company in Korea. I do have to admit that I think these episodes may have focused a bit too much on Jangga cause I was sitting here like show me more Danbam and what changes have happened! I don't care about CEO Jang and how he's dying from cancer now or Geun Soo and how he came back from studying abroad in America to become the successor. Actually, speaking of Geun Soo, I was honestly really surprised that after Yi Seo found out that it was him who outed Hyun Yi that she didn't tell the others cause even after 4 years the others still thought of Geun Soo as a friend. The more interesting part of all this was how Geun Woo got out of prison and I totally knew it from the beginning that he would target Yi Seo to get to Saeroyi! On that note it's really funny how the entire cast knew that Saeroyi loved Yi Seo before he did cause the poor man is an open book and it had been building for a while now. Soo Ah actually might have been the first to take note of his changing feelings all those years ago and it made her anxious but until Saeroyi left her to chase after Yi Seo, she didn't know officially. As a sidebar I low key loved when Yi Seo read her for filth about being selfish enough to take and take from Saeroyi and never give back and yet still want him to love her. I also want to shout out what might have been the best moment of the week when Saeroyi admitted to Geun Soo that it would be a betrayal to love the woman that a friend does but that he was going to do it anyway. I actually squealed out loud guys! How smooth of him!
Memorist (4/16): Dong Baek has an extraordinary ability.

So this show as it turns out isn't exactly what I thought it was last week and I can't decide if it's a good thing or not. Instead of having a corrupt police chief and higher ups, it looks like most of the antagonists for our heroes will end up being the media and the common people themselves who keep acting as a thorn in the side of our crew. Every time Baek or Sun Mi try to do something, Baek gets arrested for this thing or that and I'm really really hoping that this is the end of it. I mean it's creative and all that I don't have to sit through more politics and coverups but at the same time it's making me furious that he's so looked down on for trying to help. Baek isn't running around looking for people to arrest willy nilly and it's like if you haven't committed a serious crime, why would you care if he touches you?? I'm also hoping that we get more weekly cases cause if the show focuses entirely on this one criminal, I'm afraid it'll run out of steam like a lot of other investigation dramas. Speaking of, it's totally silly that the new criminal we're hunting down can erase memories but I suppose it's possible cause if Baek can read memories, who's to say someone with the opposite ability doesn't exist? I'm really enjoying all the characters in this show though and I really like watching Baek and Sun Mi work together cause they make the most badass team. Also Yoo Seung Ho is seriously dazzling in this role cause I can't look away from his beautiful face.
FINISHED Reply 1988 (20/20): Five childhood friends, who all live in the same Ssangmundong neighborhood of Seoul, lean on each other to survive their challenging teen years and set a path for their futures. Sung Deok Sun struggles for attention as the middle child in her poor family while also carrying the burden of her 989th ranking in school. Kim Jung Hwan only has a one-track mind for soccer, even after his family becomes rich overnight. Sung Sun Woo is the perfect student, student council president and a caring and dependable son in his family. Ryu Dong Ryong is a geek who knows more about girls and life than the rest of his friends, but his poor academic score prevents him from being able to go to college. Choi Taek is a genius baduk player who dropped out of school to go professional. As the group of friends gets into and out of mischief around the neighborhood, what experiences from these memorable times together will they carry with them into their future lives?

Omg I finally found one of the Reply series shows that I actually adored! This is hands down my favorite of the three and that's cause of so many reasons! I loved that this one felt more like a family drama than the last two cause it made the world feel so much more lived in! Every character felt so closely tied to each other and low key I've always loved the idea of a neighborhood where the neighbors are all close and pop in and out of each other's houses like it's nothing. By giving each of the main characters a family with their own lives and problems and stories, the characters felt more real. The shifting of focus also helped with the thing I hated most about these series aka the guess the husband thing cause it actually left me wondering who would actually end up with Deok Sun. In the other two Reply series it was obvious who the male lead was but here I was actually really confused until like halfway through the drama and I loved that! Taek was an absolute angel played by Park Bo Gum and there's something about him that made you want to wrap him up in a blanket and protect him but I loved that he was so sincere with his feelings for Deok Sun when it mattered so he was also manly at times and I was swooning! I adored Deok Sun cause giving her siblings made her even more mature than the last two Reply leads even though she was younger than both of them. She was so kind and I thought it was hilarious how she kept falling for other guys cause her friends told her that they liked her. On that note, I wasn't the biggest fan of the secondary couples but I didn't hate them either. Overall I really had a blast with this one and I'd give it a 8.5 / 10!
Tell Me What You Saw (14/16): "Tell Me What You Saw" is a suspense thriller about a genius profiler named Oh Hyun Jae who has lost everything, and a detective with photographic memory named Cha Soo Young who work together to track down a serial killer. Other members include, team leader Hwang Ha Young who sets the plan, ambitious investigation team member Choi Hyung Pil, and veteran detective Yang Man Soo.

Why do I suddenly feel like the writing for this show has gone a little off the rails? Until the very last moments of this week I was super into everything that was happening and how Dong Sik was being discovered by Hyun Jae and even Ha Young but the fact that he killed Detective Yang and then confessed to Soo Young about who he was just felt like the showrunners being like dudes we need to find an easy way to have Dong Sik outed as the bad guy. I mean after living so long in this double life why would Dong Sik all of a sudden be like I can't hide it anymore?? Like fine play around with Hyun Jae more and maybe even Ha Young but is the plan to kill Soo Young now that she knows the truth? I was wondering last week how he felt about her but it seems like the truth is that he doesn't really care which brings me back to all the weird asides he did about how much he liked her and it's like why keep acting so close when you don't have to? Ha Young's descent into being corrupt felt so natural tbh cause she'd been straddling the line of good and bad for a while now and it was her fear and desperation that finally pushed her over the edge but it was funny that despite everything everyone else believed in her enough to know that she's probably doing this for a reason. I'm also really curious to know whether Hyun Jae will try to kill Ha Young now cause though I'd like to imagine that he can tell that it's not entirely her fault that Isu died, he's on this one track mind for so long that he might just forget everything but the fact that she gave up Isu's name.

              CDRAMA

FINISHED Eternal Love Of Dreams/Three Lives, Three Worlds, The Pillow Book (56/56): Two thousand years of enduring love and obsession between the female monarch of Qing Qiu and the ancient god of the Heavenly Kingdom. When Feng Jiu was practicing immortal cultivation alone in the wilderness, she was attacked by a beast and rescued by Dong Hua Di Jun of the Heavenly Kingdom. The encounter becomes deeply ingrained in Feng Jiu's heart and to repay her debts, she decides to follow Dong Hua into battle. She soon realizes that her good feelings towards him have evolved into love, but Dong Hua is a god who has forgotten what love means. In order to protect Feng Jiu, Dong Hua sends her to the human realm which results in the death of a friend. Feng Jiu enters the Winged Tribe Princess Ah Lan Ruo's dream sequence in search of a sacred fruit that can bring the dead back to life but gets trapped to relive Ah Lan Ruo's life for eternity. Dong Hua finds a way to save Feng Jiu and realizes that he already reciprocates her love for him, but another hurdle crosses their path.

Despite knowing how terribly the story in this show was going to end after having read the summary of the book, it still didn't help me not watch the final chunk of episodes so bitterly. I still cannot understand why Dong Hua hid literally everything from Fengjiu cause all it did was make Fengjiu look like such an asshole for constantly misunderstanding Dong Hua's good intentions and seriously I would have right there alongside Dong Hua's friends in blaming Fengjiu for being so cold when in fact it's partially Dong Hua's fault for never explaining Fengjiu why he did what he did. I don't love that they stayed apart for so many years while Dong Hua fought Muao Luo and Fengjiu gave birth to their child. I hate that their wedding was interrupted and that Ji Heng was so evil enough to even try to force Dong Hua to leave Fengjiu and that he let Fengjiu think that's what happened in order to "protect her" or whatever. I did think Gungun was super cute though and I'm going to assume that though the show didn't actually explain it to us that Fengjiu would wake up after a few hundred years and since Dong Hua gave up being Emperor that she would rule Qingqu with him being the Prince Consort and eventually Gungun would be the next ruler. I'm low key annoyed that Yan ended up with Ji Heng cause she was consistently the worst and that we didn't get a more overt Chu Yan and Lian Song love story! Overall I can't help but feel that the actors endeared me more than the story so I don't entirely know what to give this show but I guess maybe I'll go with an 8 / 10!

What Shows Am I Watching This Week?

Hello everyone and welcome back! Let's dive right in shall we?

FINISHED Welcome To Demon School Iruma-Kun Episode 23

Ah well as I expected last week this series finale (or maybe season finale based on the cliffhanger we left on) didn't actually wrap up the whole story but just this arc of Iruma finally accepting that he likes living in the Netherworld and doesn't want to return to being a human on Earth. Having said that it was pretty nice seeing Iruma doing well at Babyls and how much he's loved by the others cause it totally reminds me of when he first showed up and was so terrified and shocked by everything he was experiencing. I died when he realized how much he was fitting in here in the Netherworld and tbh I really did expect him to at least talk to the Demon Border Patrol about wanting to stay here but maybe cause he doesn't go to search for him that it'll be obvious that Iruma doesn't want to leave? It was sweet of Azz and Clara to want to make food for Iruma thinking that he needed cheering up and Clara's family will never not be completely hilarious. I am a little disappointed that we never saw her father or why he was so important as to not get featured in the earlier episodes but the same goes for how we didn't get to see Iruma become the Demon King. The button at the end of the episode seemed to be more of a teaser for another season to come and it just makes me want to see it now!

              ID: Invaded Episode 11

I am honestly so proud of myself for guessing everything correctly despite spending so much time being confused about what was happening in this show! We finally figured out who John Walker was through Hondoumachi's and Sakaido's detective work and it turned out to be the Chief like I guessed weeks ago. I do have to applaud the show though cause for a second I did wonder if it was Hondoumachi's ex-partner for grabbing the wrong cognition particles at Momoki's house but in the end he was a pawn like the others. I also guessed correctly that poor Kiki was being used as a battery of some sort for the Mizuhanome but I was wrong about her being the reason for cognition particles existing. They must have always been around but before Kiki there was no way to access or use them. I don't know if I entirely understood what was going on in terms of Hondoumachi figuring out the Chief's murder technique but it had to do with an obsession with the number 7 and playing God. To no one's surprise Sakaido as it turned out was also a victim of John Walker playing around in his mind and I guess that Kiki well inside Sakaido's ID well must be physical proof of John Walker having been rummaging around. I wonder if they went back into Fukada's ID well if they'd find a Kiki well now too. I'm also really curious to know how this show is going to end cause the finale is in two weeks and it honestly it might just feel too easy if we're able to arrest the Chief next week. I could see him grabbing Kiki and disappearing with everyone left to flounder now that they don't have the Mizuhanome anymore but that feels like too sad of an ending and poor Kiki!

              Batwoman Season 1 Episode 14

I'm really not a Sophie and Kate shipper so I expected to be bored throughout a large chunk of this episode but honestly other than their parts, I ended up enjoying this episode a bunch! After finding out that Kate was Batwoman last week, Mary spent the episode basically hinting to Kate that she'd love to help her and I just wanted to give her the biggest hug cause she's adorable. I honestly would have just blurted it out at some point like I know who you are especially since both Batwoman and Kate came to her on two separate occasions to ask for help. Honestly though it even hurts me every time Mary is told that she and Kate aren't as close she believes they are and I wish that Kate would be better! Alice also struggled with what to do about Mouse's dad cause though she knows where he is and who he is, a part of her was reverting back to the child she was when she went through all that abuse but I was truly horrified to find out that he was pumping Mouse with fear toxin to really destroy his relationship with Alice! I know I'm supposed to dislike Mouse and Alice but half the time when I look at them I just see the kids they were. Sophie and Batwoman decided that dating would not be the best move but it did give Sophie the courage to come out to her mom and my heart broke for her when her mom told her that she was disappointed. It made me wish that Kate would interact more with her own father cause despite everything he loves her just the way she is and I feel like the show doesn't give him nearly enough to do! Why does Supergirl get all the sisterly moments and Flash the father/child ones??

Oooh it looks like the next episode is going to be full of Jacob and Kate moments like I was begging this show to give me! With Mouse being under the fear toxin it looks like he'll be attacking Alice and putting her under the fear toxin too so when Jacob and Kate rescue her, maybe she'll be a different person?

The Flash Season 6 Episode 14

My baby Wally was back but I'm heartbroken that it was only for one episode! I do always find it creative how the writers of this show write their own stories but add dashes of flavor from the comics especially in the case of Wally. I still think that he was waaay underused and though part of that I can't blame on the show cause it was Keiynan himself who wanted to leave to focus on his music, the other part of me thinks that the seasons that he was on, he wasn't used the way he should which is why it's funny to me that he's become this complete badass with an even better understanding of the Speed Force than Barry himself offscreen in a way to homage his comic book persona. I really like that he's able to meditate his consciousness and see futures and stuff and I even think the way he uses his powers is more unique than Barry's. It was interesting that he came back to talk to Barry about the Speed Force dying and that it did actually die in this episode but with Barry planning on remaking his own Speed Force, I wonder if he'll share it with Wally. More importantly I'm curious to know if that artificial Speed Force would replace the Speed Force in this show or whether we'll do with Caitlin and Cisco offered and figure out a way to remove the Spectre's energy from the Speed Force. Meanwhile Nash was taken over by Eobard and it was super strange cause now Eobard is like more murder happy than I've ever seen him cause despite how much he's wanted to kill Barry, I don't think I've ever heard him talk about slitting his throat like that. I still don't understand what's going on with the Wellses of the multiverse or why they're all here and hovering around Nash but hopefully we'll figure that out soon. In other news Kamila figured out that Mirror Iris is not real Iris but was shot with the Mirror Gun before she could say anything and seriously I've totally forgotten how it works! She's not like dead is she?? As a sidebar I loved that it was Wally to warn Joe about Iris being different cause with how emphatic and zen he is now, of course he would be able to sense something off.

For a second when Eobard mentioned his anti-Speed Force I had the thought that maybe at some point Barry would get so desperate that he might reach out and use it like Nora did but now it looks like he might go another villain route and use speed steroids like the Velocity mixtures in order to boost his speed which is going to be totally fun!

Legends Of Tomorrow Season 5 Episode 7

This was a much heavier episode than I expected to watch based on the promo but honestly that's such a good thing cause though a lot of the episode was funny, the whole father/daughter thing was super emotional! Damien Darkh was our Encore of the week and he arrived just as Ray was planning on proposing to Nora which caused her to freak out and try to show Damien the life she thought he would want for her with Constantine as her boyfriend and Sara and Ava as her henchwomen. It was absolutely hilarious and ended with Nora's charge Pippa wishing them all into a parody of Mr Roger's Neighborhood so that they could all talk out their feelings. Damien accepted Nora as who she was now and gave his blessings for Ray and Nora to get married which they did and ended up using the Hell Sword to kill himself and I seriously could not remember if the Sword sent you back to hell or destroyed your essence completely! Ava and Sara fought about how Sara had been offered a job offer in Star City from Wild Dog who I'm assuming is Rene as maybe his bodyguard or something cause last I checked there's only one Wild Dog I know and he was running for mayor in Star City now. Meanwhile Constantine was trying to get Charlie to help him with the Loom of Fate but she was really against it until Constantine brought up the idea that if her sisters got to it first they would use it again while if they did it, they'd save Astra and then he'd help her destroy it for good which she agreed to. In a completely separate storyline we found out that Mick actually had a daughter with that woman he slept with a few episodes back when he went to look for the person who was trolling Rebecca Silver with Zari only to freak out and wipe their memories of his arrival cause he thought that they were better off without him.

Next week looks hilarious again and based on what I can gather it looks like maybe the girls decide to take a break or have a girls night with Mona joining in so the boys have to deal with something around Shakespeare's era and ruin his works so the girls have to go back and fix it! I'm super pumped cause I always love the episodes when the girls have to clean up after the boys!

              Riverdale Season 4 Episode 16

I actually really really enjoyed this episode of Riverdale but you know I'm always a sucker for whodunnit stories and this episode was the closest we've ever gotten to a real murder mystery other than the first season with Jason. There's just something so fun about the reveal where the detectives get to sit the suspects down and go through what happened piece by piece! As it turned out the Baxter Brothers franchise was all about murder. In order to become the ghostwriter you needed to prove that you commit the perfect murder and while at first it was Moose who was brought to Stonewall to be the victim, eventually the target was shifted to Jughead which honestly was Stonewall's fatal flaw cause unlike Moose, Jughead is one of the most connected Riverdale kids. Donna as it turned out was the mastermind to no one's surprise but she did it cause it was her grandmother who was killed by Dupont in order to keep his secret about the Baxter Brothers a secret. Jughead was meant to be bait in order for Dupont to get his grandfather who was the last of the four who knew his secret but he didn't know that Jughead's grandfather would run after seeing Jughead rather than come out of hiding to help. In the end it was all very bittersweet cause not much changed. I mean Bret ended up handing back the sex tapes he filmed and possibly going to jail, Dupont is dead, Joan is fleeing the country, and Donna is free though she was blackmailed into not becoming the next Ghostwriter. It sucks though cause are we supposed to believe that Jughead lost his spot at Yale cause at the end it seems like he couldn't even graduate can he has to transfer back to Riverdale High? I mean I'd assume with Bret going to jail that Jughead would get his spot if Betty got his.

Though we've got 6 episodes left to go for this season, it seems like Riverdale is taking a break for a month. The next episode we'll get is on April 15th and it will be the musical episode which kinda sucks but it's also super weird cause it feels like we've wrapped up our story so what's left but maybe Chic and Charles?

The Magicians Season 5 Episode 9

This show is getting crazier and crazier and I'm so so down! While Julia and Eliot are locked up, Julia finds out that because the baby's father is Penny 23 that he's a traveler and a psychic just like Penny was so when she was freaking out the baby was able to help her read minds so she and Eliot are able to get out of jail through the help of Julia traveling with the baby's help. Meanwhile we found out that the signal that was hurting Penny 23 and Plum was actually from another time traveler who basically was pissed that Plum became a time traveler and wanted to protect the timeline so he basically forced Plum to come here so that he could strip her of her powers. Penny 23 and Plum held strong at first but in the end she cracked and decided to get her time traveler powers stripped so that they could leave which sucks but at least she gets to keep her traveling power unlike poor Penny 23. Over in Fillory Rupert found Josh and sent him to the Taker world after which he ended up in the Underworld with Penny 40. As we learned the Takers are actually guard dogs for the Underworld to keep the dead from returning to the real world and from what Hades said if someone is able to get past all the Takers and tries to get someone back from the Underworld then the dead will overrun everywhere. I'm assuming that based on what we've seen that Rupert figured out a way to bring the Takers to Fillory and there he's been killing them one by one so that eventually all the Takers will be dead so he can waltz to the doorway and save Lance.

Next week is all about the Gods again or so it seems. It looks like we run into either Ember or Umber (I can never tell them apart tbh) but they were both killed so either we find the Underworld for the Gods or it's some sort of time travel or vision thing. I'm also high key excited to see how Penny reacts to Julia cause I love them and while he thought that he was stuck for months, he was only gone for what probs amounts to a few days and this is a pretty big change!

              xoxo Allie
