What Shows Am I Watching This Week?

Hello everyone and welcome back! Let's dive right in shall we?

Fruits Basket Season 2 Episode 9

Why would this show think that's it's okay to play with my heart like this? I'm sobbing like a baby and it hurts so good! I have a feeling that we hit the nail on the head this week with the emotional impact we were going to see at the beach the way others have been gushing about because I can't imagine anything hitting harder unless Akito actually meets up with Tohru! Poor naive Tohru was so thrilled when she found out that Kyo was being summoned cause she thought it meant that he was finally being given a spot in the family and I low key almost teared up when she prayed for her to be happy. Akito the asshole brought Kyo in cause he was furious that his plan to separate the zodiacs from Tohru wasn't working cause Kyo was still wit her so by reminding him about what a monster he was, Akito hoped that Tohru would be miserable. In the end his plan half worked out cause while what he did allowed Kyo to realize that he's in love with Tohru, it also worked in convincing Kyo that he was bad luck to everyone around him and that he would no longer hope to be happy with Tohru. Now he just wants to love her and be with her while he can cause as we found out the reason that Kyo is out-and-about in the world unlike the previous cat spirit was cause he made a deal with Akito saying that if he could beat Yuki in a fight, Kyo could live the way he wanted but if he lost, then he would be confined. It breaks my heart and makes me wonder why Yuki couldn't be a smidge kinder and allow Kyo to beat him just the once to prevent this! We also learned that Kyo's mom died cause she killed herself and that everyone blamed it on Kyo cause he's the zodiac cat but we also learned that Tohru's mom was also close with Kyo. This worries me cause last season Kyo apologized to Tohru about her mom and I'm thinking that Tohru's mom's accident might have had something to do with Kyo like what if Akito got pissed at Kyo and killed the mom? I mean I wouldn't blame Kyo for it but he might cause of how much everyone else blamed everything on him!

Stargirl Season 1 Episode 3

The thing that really stands out about this show compared to other superhero shows out there is just how much focus is given to the Injustice Society members. We've learned about their backstories, what they want and even their relationships to their families and it's fascinating cause I find myself not wanting to hate all of them! Whereas Brainwave was clearly abusive to his son which led to his son being a bully at school, Wizard and his son had a great relationship and Joey was such a sweet kid which makes it all the more heartbreaking that he's gone. I really expected Icicle's big plan to have been to frame Joey's death on Stargirl so it would get William all ramped up but William in a surprising twist ended up being much too smart for that. He realized that Icicle had something to do with his son's death cause why else would there be this random patch of ice on a bridge but the bigger surprise was how Icicle just killed William without any fuss and that his parents helped clean it up! It brings me back to wondering what in the world this whole American Dream thing is and why he thinks that it'll save the country! So far it sounds just like he's been rebuilding towns but there's gotta be an evil aspect to all of it otherwise why would the JSA be against it? Speaking of, I'm also hoping that Joey's death is what leads to Courtney slowing down a little and realizing that rushing into things isn't how you be a hero cause there are actual consequences to all this since her own life being in danger hasn't been enough. I really loved that scene when Courtney and Pat went to the old JSA headquarters and I can't wait to find out who takes up the mantles of the new JSA! It seems we'll be getting a new Hourman, Dr Midnite, Green Lantern, Wildcat, and Thunderbolt though no Flash or Dr Fate yet. I also want to shout out the fact that Henry Jr seemed to have moved a mug in his father's hospital room so maybe he'll take up Brainwave's mantle now that Brainwave is out for the count and I can't help but feel like Wizard's wife will have a bigger role now that her whole family is dead. Icicle's son Cameron also received a lot of screen-time and I couldn't help but wonder if he'll be a love interest for Courtney cause the two definitely had chemistry.

FINISHED Legends Of Tomorrow Season 5 Episode 15

So the finale for season 5 aired tonight and though it wasn't as fun as a lot of previous Legends episodes, overall I did have a fun time and many of my season long questions got answered so there's that! Once The Legends regained their memories, they realized that they needed to destroy the Loom and find the Waverider in order to win the day which they managed to do after splitting up. One of the Fates was killed because Sara realized that part of that Fate's power was inside her and was the reason that she was seeing the future. Once she killed that Fate, her eyesight came back and she lost her powers. Unfortunately this didn't stop the other Fate from trying to rule the world but this time since the Loom was destroyed, she used a stolen Gideon in order to pretend to be the Loom and make decisions for people only to be stopped and everything returned to normal though I'm not entirely sure if we're supposed to think that everything went back to our original timeline before the Fates appeared or if everyone living in present day just has like a few months worth of different memories. In terms of character stuff, I'm fairly certain that Charlie just left the show cause she decided to find her roots, Zari 1.0 had to go back into the Loom cause her presence was killing Behrad, and Astra decided against reviving her mother but might be joining the Legends. Also to note is that we've officially brought the whole Nate and Zari thing to an end with Zari 2.0 and Constantine being a thing now (and without any of the what are we drama that I really expected the show to do) and the season ended with Sara being beamed up into space so that's probs what next season will be about! I do feel like in terms of season finales, this is one of the most low stakes one but maybe that's just cause I'm thinking of how impactful last season was with Zari 1.0 being replaced with Behrad.

Tower Of God Episode 10

Truly the most confused by all that's happening in this show. At first I thought this was a much more chill episode after the craziness of last week but then the ending hit and suddenly I'm back to wondering what in the world will happen! I can't help but feel like every time there's a side test in which the group is told that if you pass then you can climb the Tower straight up without any more administrator tests I start questioning things cause there's just no way that the cast can climb the Tower this quickly. I know the webtoon has chapters and chapters and chapters of story so unless the majority of the story follows our crew after they become Rankers, every side test like the Crown Game and this Administrator Test leave me thinking that okay so we can't win right? The problem is that this test seems to say that if Bam fails, then everyone fails so I can't see that happening either. It also sucks cause it doesn't feel like this Tower is politics-free and I wish I knew who was in charge. Is it Yu or is there a guardian of the Tower? Cause Yu is definitely not happy with Bam and Rachel being here and as we learn this week, it was him that gave Hoh the note about using them to win and he also is like oh Yuga you're a spy for the King of Jahad cool let me help you kill Anaak and win back the swords you need! If it's the guardian spirit we met when Bam needed to make a deal to use magic, then I have a feeling that the Tower might be more objective. It was also low key crazy that Serena just up and left though I had a feeling after last week this place was not for her.

Agents Of SHIELD Season 7 Episode 2

The one thing that sucks about time travel is always the moment when our cast of characters tend to question whether or not they should change things to make them better no matter how much they're told that the consequences would be catastrophic. We find out that the stuff that Freddy needs to get to Hells Harbor is the final ingredient of the super soldier serum and basically that if we don't let Freddy do his job, then all of Captain America: The First Avenger won't go down the way it was supposed to which was a nice nod to more than just the idea that HYDRA needs to form so SHIELD can combat it. Daisy decides that this doesn't matter and that they should kill Freddy and stop him from delivering what he needs to and I'm sitting here like dude that's exactly what the Chronicoms want so why would you give it to them not to mention the fact that the world will be a hell of a lot worse if Cap isn't in it! In the end though I'm glad Deke stayed true to who he was and refused the order so we were able to keep Freddy alive long enough to force both the Chronicoms and the Zephyr into the next Tide. That answers my question last week about whether we'd be hopping from time to time and why the Chronicoms wouldn't just wait for SHIELD to leave before doing what they wanted. The sucky thing is that Enoch got left behind but since he's a Chronicom it's possible he'll just hang out until SHIELD lands again and rejoin them there or maybe Fitz will grab him cause they are best friends you know. Speaking of, still no sign of Fitz but we did see May who was physically fine but seems to have undergone some emotional blocks so she's all mission focused and no emotions which sucks and I really hope that we get our May back cause it's the last season and I need my cast to be my cast!

The promo for next week looks super exciting cause Sousa is going to be appearing and I can't wait for that! I didn't catch what year we were landing in but I'm thinking somewhere around the 50s or so.

Harley Quinn Season 2 Episode 10

You know I had no idea that the reason the Justice League was still missing was cause no one knew where the Queen Of Fables hid her book except for Joker who lost his memories until this week but in hindsight it makes all the sense in the world. Harley went out to get really drunk and hook up with a rando cause she was heartbroken over the fact that Ivy told her that she couldn't trust Harley with her heart and in a strange turn of events, she ended up in Wayne's bar where the Joker was working. One thing led to another and as it turned out Psycho teamed up with Riddler to take over Gotham and Harley's original plan to work with Darkseid. He ended up brainwashing King Shark and Clayface and Syd killed himself helping Harley and Gordon escape but in the end they realized that the only person that could stop Psycho was the Justice League themselves thus needing the Queen Of Fables' book. I love the idea that Harley had to bring back the Joker in order to save the day but like what's to say that Joker would even help?
