Batwoman Season 1 Episode 19
With this being the penultimate episode for Batwoman, it definitely lived up to the hype that you would want before a finale but I can't but feel like something isn't adding up. The struggle for me is Alice's big evil plan. Why does she need to jump through so many hoops in order to kill Batwoman when she already knows that Kate is Batwoman? This sort of long meandering plan only works for a villain who doesn't know the person under the suit cause then they can only kill the hero when the hero is on the streets but Alice could straight up find Kate in her bar or whatever and shoot her or poison her and boom there you go! But nope instead we have Alice out hunting down leads to read Lucius Fox's journal and figuring out that Kryptonite plays a role in somehow getting past the armor. Having said that I do have to say that when Alice mentioned Kryptonite I did get pretty damn excited cause I'm a sucker for this kind of shit and I'm sure that Tommy Eliot has some sort of connect with the Luthors so it'll be easy to find. In other news we found out that Julia's big secret was that she made a deal with a villain in order to keep Kate alive only to find out this week that the journal actually had a manual to kill Batwoman so the deal was all null and void anyway and honestly it was so lame. Why even bother with this whole storyline if it wasn't going to amount to any drama? I also really don't love that Julia and Sophie are becoming a thing cause you know I shipped Julia and Kate! The final thing I want to comment on is the fact that Jacob drew a line in the sand with Batwoman and all but declared war on her. I've really been disappointed in the idea of the Crows this season cause I still don't think they have a point in this show other than being something to fill screen time. Maybe they were supposed to be some sort of DEO copy but if Jacob doesn't find out about Kate, it feels redundant.
As I mentioned up top, next week is the season finale for Batwoman and it should be interesting. I can't really tell what's going on other than Jacob ready to shoot Batwoman but the title of the episode has to do with Mouse so maybe he plays a big role?
Fruits Basket Season 2 Episode 6
Well I asked for plot last week and we're definitely starting to get it now! Like I've said before I'm an anime only girl for this show but I've been spoiled on some small plot points though this beach arc isn't one. All I know is that manga readers have been screaming about the beach since this season started and the posters and everything have beaches on it so the minute Momiji was like let's all go to the beach, my radar was up! Let's start with the happier stuff before diving into the real meat of the episode. Hiro and Kisa are still the most precious and I love how much Hiro is in love with Kisa without any need to hide it from himself like the others guys in this show would. It was also interesting to note that the boy who helped Tohru when they were young is Yuki but I wonder if there's more to the story cause all we know is that Yuki helped walk Tohru home one day but Tohru last season mentioned that the boy in the hat was her first love. I don't mind either way cause like you all know I'm a Kyo and Tohru shipper and we had a few notable moments here too. I kinda love how Kyo's the only one in the group that notices when Tohru is upset or putting up a front cause it goes to show you that Kyo pays enough attention to notice and he probably sees something in the way she fakes it with how he pretends to be all tough. Now onto the nitty gritty. I cannot figure out Shigure! He's clearly not a good guy cause he practically egged on Akito to go to the beach house with the kids but at the same time hid the fact that Hatori was walking with some girl. He practically slept with Rin one minute and is being all romantic with Akito the next and besides that isn't Akito with Kureno? I mean I'm assuming Shigure wants this curse broken cause that's the only reason why I can imagine he's scheming but what does Akito and Tohru have to do with it? I do have a feeling that whatever Akito does will break hearts more than even Kyo's true form arc.
FINISHED The Flash Season 6 Episode 19
I actually really liked this episode for what it was and honestly I really don't mind that we'll be going into next season with Eva though we defeated Carver and Black Hole. Like Diaz and the Ninth Circle over on Arrow, pushing a villain into multiple seasons always makes the villain feel like a bigger deal than normal villains do. The only thing I can complain about is how I wish that Carver and Black Hole had a bigger role in this half season or at least as much air time as Eva did cause I really liked the idea of him being a villain that Barry couldn't beat with just his powers and that he would need all of Team Flash to come up with a smarter plan! In the end though it was Eva killing him that did the trick and the ironic part is that it really shows you just how easy it would be to defeat a villain that's so wide reaching like him but the only reason that our heroes can't is always just because our heroes don't kill so they need elaborate plans. I do have a feeling that what happened between Eva and Carver is a mix of what they both claim happened. The most likely scenario is that she tried to wait for him to help her but he never tried or gave up after a little while and while she was waiting, she started to lose her mind and became someone he doesn't recognize anymore. It's interesting though cause I spent so much of this episode (and this season) thinking that maybe Eva's not the villain Team Flash thinks she is despite what she did with Iris and the other mirror clones cause she hasn't actually killed anyone but Carver and Carver's the real bad guy with how little he cares about those he hurts but after she pinned the whole thing on an innocent like Sue rather than another bad guy and refused to give up Iris and company after she got what she wanted, she's not so good after all. It's also super strange that Barry never managed to build his artificial SpeedForce by the end of this season so that'll have to be something we see next season. I'm also wondering if we'll be seeing Caitlin next season and if her goodbye was meant to cover Danielle's maternity leave for this last part of the season or if she needs more time after the baby is born too. Iris meanwhile is seriously losing it though she was able to control the Mirrorverse now but she ended up disappearing at the end and I'm not sure what happened!
Legends Of Tomorrow Season 5 Episode 12
This week's episode was all about Greek life! The crew figured out that they will need three Fates in order to work the Loom but you can only be a Fate if you are a God and in order to become a God for a day, you need to drink from Dionysus's chalice. They ended up finding the chalice at a college frat and through a series of events they found out that Dionysus was actually the head of one of the frats on campus and was using the devotion he got from the college kids that partied with him to stay in power and if the Legends wanted to use it, then they needed to join a frat or a sorority. In the end though this episode was mainly about teaching Astra to trust the Legends and that she could have more than what she thought she had back in Hell. Honestly though the whole sister thing was all very heavy-handed and kinda annoying cause Astra seriously kept ruining every plan whether on purpose or on accident but I did love how exasperated she constantly was with how insane the Legends are with their elaborate plans. I did miss Constantine for most of this episode but he totally wouldn't have fit in on the college campus so it makes sense that he disappeared. Mick also really didn't fit into this episode but he had his own storyline with Lita and how she was possibly interested in going to school at Hudson. He worried that she was embarrassed of him cause he's not a college grad or even a person with a good job but she was honestly more worried about the fact that she didn't think she fit in and they were able to connect more. In the end everyone except Zari ended up drinking from the chalice and became Gods but the chalice is only supposed to allow you to be a God for a day so they must use the Loom next week unless Dionysus extended how long they could be Gods cause it is his cup after all. The other option is that the Loom still doesn't work but I can't see how else it would without needing 3 Fates to use it. I'm also curious about what the other two Fates plan to do now that they've kidnapped Astra cause they still don't have the Loom.
Next week's promo shows us fighting zombies but like I said before if the whole God thing only lasts a day are we going to say the last three episodes left in the season will take place over a day?
Tower Of God Episode 7
This week explained a lot more about the Princesses of Jahad and though I sort of picked up the basic idea last week with Endorsi and Anaak, it was nice of the show to explain it better now. Jahad is the first man to climb the Tower and because of that he was able to create the kingdom the Tower resides in and he chooses women he likes to become his daughters and bestows on them insane power but in turn the women are not allowed to have children cause then the power would get passed on and that's against the rules. The thing is that I do want to feel bad for Anaak and everything but at the same time it's like this was a known rule so then what did Anaak's mom think was going to happen when she ran away? What this story did do was lessen my annoyance with Anaak after stealing Black March but she's still not going to be my favorite character. Rachel is still seriously confusing me as a character and I'm definitely starting to feel like there's something more to her staying away from Bam than what it seems like what if the Tower admins were like stay away from Bam or else you can't climb the Tower. If even Endorsi is like Rachel you're going to lose Bam if you act like this, Rachel's definitely acting weird. Ho also went through it this week with his insecurity towards Bam and his backstory looked terribly sad. I bet that he's climbing the Tower in order to keep his people safe but I'm more interested in what the note he got says and whether it came from a Tower admin or another player. If I had to guess it's probs a way to defeat Bam and it's going to be awkward cause he's on Bam's team this test. The curious thing about this game of tag we're going to be playing is that it broke up the teams we had up until this point but I'm not entirely worried that Khun and Bam are on separate teams cause it looks like they won't be fighting each other but a Tower admin.
Harley Quinn Season 2 Episode 7
Did we just watch the start of Harley and Ivy's romance??? Part of me is like oh yay cause Harley deserves love and I think they'd be cute together but the rest of me is like oh but poor Kiteman! I'm really not looking forward to the poor dude getting his heart broken when all he wants is Ivy. I do have to admit though that I had a feeling that it was only a matter of time before this romance happened cause Harley's biggest romances are with Joker or Ivy and with Ivy getting married soon I figured something would have to come up in order to stop that cause I couldn't imagine Ivy getting married. The weird thing is that I never really picked up on romantic vibes between the girls until now but I suppose that it'll be fun to see where this goes. Bane was hysterical this week but more than that I loved Ivy's open mic moment where she talked about who she used to be and how much she's changed cause of the people in her life. I do think it's a little sucky that we really never saw that Ivy who was cold to the world cause all of these moments where she talks about how she grew would work better if we didn't start the show with her all soft and malleable. In other news I was living for everything with Barbara and Jim and how she outed herself to her dad as Batgirl and how they worked together to take down Two-Face.
