What Shows Am I Watching This Week?

Hello everyone and welcome back! Let's dive right in shall we?

Legends Of Tomorrow Season 6 Episode 10

Oh good god no this is not what I wanted from Legends. I was really not a fan of the pregnancy storyline but I hate addiction storylines even more. Constantine is already breaking my heart and we haven't even gotten started down this horrible dark and twisted path he's about to take. I want to imagine that cause this is not only an Arrowverse show but Legends Of Tomorrow which can barely do anything dark that the whole thing will be fixed in two seconds through what I assume will be an intervention episode but I could also see Legends reaching into it's Arrowverse routes and going the super dramatic route to make this the reason that Zari and Constantine break up. It'll be a toss up as to which road the show follows but it'll only really matter if Zari 2.0 is on screen again. I do have to say that part of me thought that Constantine would get the Fountain through sheer want to protect Spooner and the kid but it's more accurate that he chose what was quick and easy over what was hard. Meanwhile Mick apparently has 43 eggs in his head and it looks like we won't be keeping Gus for much longer cause as it turns out his species' lifespan is only 30 days long which means that by the end of the season he'll be gone.

Hmm so we're taking a few weeks off so the promo for when we come back in August doesn't actually show us much other than the fact that some of the Legends will be stuck trying to win a bowling game in order to escape some aliens which is honestly hilarious but I'm still thinking about Constantine so maybe it's a bit too soon to enjoy some laughs.

FINISHED The Flash Season 7 Episode 18

So the finale for this show aired this week and honestly I'm done with this whole season and maybe even these reviews going forward cause I don't love that I'm constantly shitting on this show when someone might be looking for a real review of this show! I don't know if I'll keep watching this show on my own or if I'll drop it completely but that's a next season problem! What I do know is that I was hype for Eobard's return though I have no idea how he's back or where he came from or at what point in the timeline he's from but also part of me will forever be bitter at the fact that he's always got Harrison Wells' face cause for the hundredth millionth time he's not a Wells and if the show forever wanted him to be played by Tom Cavanagh then they should have just made him a Wells back in season 1! I also want to say that I didn't care for the vow renewal at the end but I loved hearing Jordan Fisher sing and it's funny cause he's heads and toes better than almost all of the Arrowverse cast who've sung before. All's well that ends well huh.

Superman & Lois Season 1 Episode 13

I've honestly never been more disappointed that this show takes place in Smallville rather than Metropolis like I thought it would than this week cause it's really not doing much to show us that small towns are worth living in. I felt for the Cushings so hard and Lana's speech about how these people have always been her family and that she never had a back up plan really hit me. I imagine that the whole thing will be solved with Lois's story but I also don't love that so much focus was given to Lois struggling to lie. Why can't the story be as simple as Edge was another Lex Luthor wannabe and found a lot of X-Kryptonite in the mines of Smallville and used them to experiment on the Smallville residents to give them powers and brainwash them? What's so much more unbelievable about that than the fact that he was a Kryptonian trying to place Kryptonians into the minds of the people he experimented on? I was right in guessing that he did something to take on all the Kryptonians but it looks like somehow he became the Eradicator himself which is interesting and leaves me wondering how Clark is planning on beating him. Despite this being a superhero show on paper the fights and action are secondary to the characters so we still don't have much to base our Superman's badassness on yet.

We're taking a few weeks off so the next episode will be airing in August and it looks like maybe Lois and Clark might actually tell the people of Smallville the real truth or who Clark is which seems like the worst idea cause nothing the show has shown me so far makes me think that these people are trustworthy enough. It's also possible that the twins are in danger which is why Lois breaks down.

My Hero Academia Season 5 Episode 17

I didn't actually realize that there was a fourth Todoroki sibling who also had the white hair and ice powers that the mom had but who died. Beyond wondering what happened to him, what I'm really curious about is the fact that all the kids seem to have gained everything from Rei rather than Endeavor which is interesting cause it clearly shows us that Rei's genes are more dominant! I also like the fact that the show isn't exactly glossing over how abusive Endeavor was or how messed up the Todoroki family was but at the same time I can't help but feel like it's a little too put on. Maybe it's cause I'm comparing this whole thing to Fruits Basket which had one of the best depictions of abuse in media almost ever but I can't help but feel like this show should have either skipped the abuse entirely if it couldn't give it the attention it deserved or really dug into it in a better way. I am starting to wonder though if whatever this next arc will be that Deku claims will change everything will end with Endeavor dying too cause I got a weird foreshadowing vibe from him that something really dark was going to happen.

What Dramas Am I Watching This Week?

So this week is officially marking the end of my weekly drama reviews which is sad but don't you worry cause I'll still post reviews on completed dramas! If you're interested in previous reviews, click here and if you want to see a list of my Favorite Asian OTPs and Ships, click here!

KDRAMA

FINISHED
At A Distance Spring Is Green (12/12): A coming of age story about young people in their twenties and the problems they face in university. Nam Soo Hyun and Yeo Joon, two boys with contrasting personalities, unexpectedly become friends when working on a project together.Depicts the realistic worries and conflicts of university students in their 20's, centered around 1st-year student Yeo Joon. Even though Yeo Joon has an attractive appearance and comes from a wealthy background, he carries pain inside. His character is a puppy-dog freshman who takes a liking to a sunbae and follows him around, leading to an unlikely friendship between two very different boys.

So the finale for this show aired this week and guys I'm totally going to miss it! I might have been one of the only people who actually stuck around past the first two episodes and watched the whole thing while also enjoying it! I'm such a sucker for college dramas in the first place and I was super fascinated by the three leads of this show not to mention the fact that it reminded me so much of a mix between My ID Is Gangnam Beauty and Cheese In The Trap. Jun was obviously my favorite and he clearly got the most character development in this show. I liked that he was so hard to read at the start and it was unclear at what point he went from playing around with So Bin to seeing himself in her and then falling in love but I adored watching it all! I loved that he started out needing everyone to adore him in the place of his family who were so cold only to finally learn the truth of his childhood and learn who to forgive and what hatred to let go of while also how to see who the people in his life really were. Soo Hyun was so amazing in how he tried to take on the weight of the world on his shoulders until he finally cracked under the pressure and decided to put himself first and So Bin learned to be more confident in herself. I do think that of the trio that So Bin got the least development and I do wish that her relationship with Jun was more than just her being his security blanket cause from start to finish he never actually told her anything about his past or what he was going through. Despite all that I definitely think this show is worth a watch and I'd give it a 9 / 10!
FINISHED Imitation (12/12): Lee Ma Ha is a member of the new K-pop girl group Tea Party, formed by Ji Hak, who was once the manager of the famous boy group Shax, but resigned after the sudden disappearance of member Eun Jo in the middle of a concert. Prior to joining Tea Party, Ma Ha was a member of the group Omega III, which disbanded on its debut day due to a tragic incident involving a former trainee at the group's company. This led Ma Ha to support herself by performing as an impersonator of the popular solo singer La Li Ma, gaining her public notoriety. Starting anew with Tea Party, Ma Ha finds herself repeatedly crossing paths with Kwon Ryok, the center and most popular member of Shax who is still haunted by Eun Jo's disappearance three years later. While Ryok initially dislikes Ma Ha due to her imitation of Li Ma, the two eventually begin to grow interested in one another and start a secret relationship that could put both of their careers in jeopardy. Meanwhile, Lee Yu Jin, Ma Ha's loyal friend who is the center of the rising boy group Sparkling, has been in love with Ma Ha since their idol trainee days. When he notices the budding relationship between Ma Ha and Ryok, he determines to protect her from Ryok and lead Sparkling to beat out Shax as the most popular boy group in the industry.

That was a really cute ending to a cute show. How did I not guess that SHAX would end up joining JH like Ri Ma and Tea Party did? At this point all the big stars might as well cause JH is super lax with it's rules so the idols can be whoever they want to be as long as they love music and performing and it's that just the best lesson you can get? I do wonder if we're supposed to think that Shining joined JH too or if they just come hang out all the time cause they're friends with everyone but either way it's precious. I absolutely adored that every main character performed Eun Jo and Annie's song for Annie and that Eun Jo even came out of retirement just the one time in order to honor her memory. Part of me wishes that he had returned to SHAX in order to honor her last wishes cause she did die in order to protect his idol dream after all but it also makes sense that after everything he went through that he would never want to be on stage again. Also low key the reporter wrote a lot less of a scathing article than I expected and honestly I was shocked that it was the CEO's secretary that was behind everything rather than the CEO though of course he profited off of everything so it's not like the CEO is innocent. On the whole this was a pretty fun show that I would definitely recommend if you like idols! 8.5 / 10!!

CDRAMA

FINISHED
Make A Wish (24/24): Yu Chi Yan, a typical 'Buddhist youth' who simply goes with the flow saves a white cat by chance, who turns out to be a cat spirit from Meow Planet located in a parallel world. Taking on a human form, Xiao Xiu must repay Yu Chi Yan's kindness before returning to her own planet. A series of hilarious encounters ensue as Xiao Xiu moves in with Yu Chi Yan. Thus beginning an unconventional romance.

It's been a while since not only have I checked out a cdrama and enjoyed it but also a modern one! I find that I prefer shows that are neither completely mindless but also not that dramatic either so it's hard for me to enjoy one. This show actually reminded me a lot of Welcome that kdrama about a girl who falls in love with a male cat who can become human which was a show that I didn't particularly care about but I wanted to check this out cause the female lead looked cute as a button. I ended up adoring this show a lot more than I expected to and I think a major plus was the fact that Chi Yan knew that Xiao Xu was a cat from the first episode so there was none of the creepiness factor that the kdrama Welcome had! I loved the chemistry between our leads and I liked watching the two fall in love but also that though there was a little bit of an obstacle in the path of our lovers it was not dragged out and the solution felt really obvious in hindsight rather than feeling like a 11th hour save! The side characters were all cute if not really important enough to care about and I liked that the show ended without Xiao Xu losing her abilities! I'd definitely give it a 8 / 10!

What Shows Am I Watching This Week?

Hello everyone and welcome back! Let's dive right in shall we?

Legends Of Tomorrow Season 6 Episode 9

Um okay so we're back with another episode of Legends in which I wonder just how strong the drugs were that the writers of this show took as they wrote the episode! I mean seriously Mick freaking Rory is pregnant with a brood of eggs that were laid in there by Kayla when they banged in space and I don't even know what in the hell to make of it. Where are we even going to take this storyline? Will it end up being that Spooner is actually one of Mick's? Are they going to come out as aliens and leave with Kayla at the end of the season? In other more logical news we got to know Behrad a little more. I still am not a fan of his whole stoner thing but it was interesting to see him play a different more douchey character as well. The show really is pushing him and Astra together which is meh and it also looks like we'll be seeing Zari 1.0 and 2.0 switch in and out of the totem like Caitlin and Killer Frost over on the Flash when they shared a body. I'm not sure how I feel about this cause I can't help but feel like we'll see less and less of 2.0 like we saw less and less of Caitlin. I like 2.0 and I like her relationship with Constantine much more than I like 1.0 and Nate and I just hope that we get 2.0 back when he returns.

The promo for next week seems to be focused entirely on the whole Lita and Mick being pregnant thing and the alien baby but the synopsis seems to hint that Constantine's hunt for the Fountain will be the A storyline which I'm much more interested in.

The Flash Season 7 Episode 17

It was honestly so so so hard to even sit down and watch this episode this week cause I was so uninterested in this show and the forty minutes that I would have to dedicate to it when I could be watching so many other things. I mean it was the 150th episode and I've been looking forward to Impulse all season but I was also so worried to see him and to see him be done wrong like I expected. I really debated dropping this show like I did with Supergirl and Batwoman and Black Lightning but then part of me felt bad about it cause if I do Legends and Superman & Lois would be the only Arrowverse shows I watch and then I thought that at the very least I should finish up the season given there's only two episodes left and so here we are. As a whole it was better than the 100th episode for sure but not much more. It sucked that Wally was still MIA (the actor clearly is D.O.N.E. with this show) but it was nice seeing Jay again though it's weird that Jay's death is paralleled to Barry's mom being killed. I thought it was interesting of the show to have Bart claim Godspeed as his Reverse Flash and I'm hoping that next week we'll get the answers as to why Bart is August's nemesis when Nora and Barry are both older and exist in the future. I also want to mention that I was so utterly confused with what happened with Iris and the fact that her whole thing was apparently solved offscreen.

So the finale is next week and I'm sure it'll be disappointing as always but I do hope we see more of Bart and August and get something real that makes their enemy relationship feel less cheap.

Superman & Lois Season 1 Episode 12

The release schedule for this show is really not doing it any favors cause every time there's a break I forget how much I enjoy this show! It's cause I've been so trained by the Arrowverse shows to expect most of them to suck (even Arrow had it's faults despite the fact that I have a soft spot for it a mile wide!) but like I say every episode this show is different. We caught up basically where we left off last time with Superman going off with Edge in order to save his family. Apparently Edge's plan was to put Zod in Clark's body and when that failed it seems like he's taken the consciousness of all the Kryptonians into himself. I might be wrong though cause from what we know this isn't a Caitlin/Killer Frost situation because the new consciousness takes over the old so maybe he only took on his father? Do we think that he's got increased strength now? In other news I liked that Lois told John Henry Irons about Superman being Clark and that he recognized that this Superman is different and I enjoyed seeing Diggle again though I'm still confused about his cameos across the Arrowverse and wonder if there's a plan in motion. The fact that this is the first that any of our original heroes have learned that the multiverse still exists after Crisis must be important! I do have to say though that low key my favorite part of this week might have been seeing Lana and Kyle and Sarah being a family. I'm really started to warm up to Kyle which is seriously unexpected given how little I liked him at the start!

Next week's promo doesn't actually show much other than the fact that it does look like Edge is still in control so maybe we are dealing with a shared minds thing now which high key might be cheap of the show to change it's rules now!

FINISHED Loki Season 1 Episode 6

After having watched this finale I low key think this one might have redeemed all the other Marvel Disney+ shows in my mind cause I can suddenly see what a beautiful masterstroke they were in terms of building the next phase. I mean yes on one level they're all skippable cause there's nothing really that changes at the end of every show that can't be summed up in one sentence but if you're a completist or hate the idea of missing out on anything then they're worth it! With Endgame setting up time travel it was the first step into this new sci-fi world in which aliens are no longer the biggest threat we will have to face. After Sylvie killing the One Who Remains aka the Kang the Conqueror variant who kept the others at bay, the multiverse is wildly open and we know that Wanda is currently searching through them to find a version of her twins that she lost and Dr Strange will be attempting to stop her while Kang himself will appear as the villain of Antman 3 and I'm truly so excited. I do hope that since Loki left this whole thing intact and a hero of a sort that this means that it's not the end of Loki and we'll see him reunite with Thor and the others at some point soon as well!

My Hero Academia Season 5 Episode 16

This week we left Shoto, Deku, and Katsuki to focus on Froppy and Uravity while they did their work study with the Ryuku. I do wonder if this show would be the smidgenist better if I could binge it all at once cause I always forget so many things in terms of continuity! Like the mission of the week was to team up with Captain Selkie who we saw Froppy do her first internship with as they hunted down this group of terrorists who blew up a factory to steal chemicals that would be used to make Trigger that illegal drug that boosts quirks. So it's like I got all that and from what I can remember this whole quirk boost drug thing started back with the Emi arc when Red Riot beat that villain who used Trigger and Emi was being used to make anti-quirk bullets but with the show switching focus to the Liberation Army everything with Trigger has mostly fallen to the wayside making me think that the show will continuously seed that drug storyline in the background until shit hits the fan later which I think is the best use of it so we can be like oh in hindsight that was obvious!

What Dramas Am I Watching This Week?

Let's get into what I'm watching this week! Of course the list is split by country and the amount of episodes I've seen so far are written below! There will be spoilers from now on so if you aren't caught to the episode number on list, you might want to go watch that episode and then come back! If you're interested in previous reviews, click here and if you want to see a list of my Favorite Asian OTPs and Ships, click here!

KDRAMA

Imitation (11/12)
: Lee Ma Ha is a member of the new K-pop girl group Tea Party, formed by Ji Hak, who was once the manager of the famous boy group Shax, but resigned after the sudden disappearance of member Eun Jo in the middle of a concert.

This episode was seriously heartbreaking cause we finally got the story of Eun Jo and Annie and it was just as horrible as I suspected. Omega 3's shitty CEO tried to pimp out Annie but when she refused to play along he threatened her with Eun Jo so she decided the only way out was to kill herself and I'm seriously furious about the whole thing. I also get completely why Eun Jo doesn't want to get revenge or let the world know what happened to her but at the same time by turning a blind eye he's basically helping the people who killed her. I thought it was super sweet that Ryok and Ma Ha decided to make Eun Jo and Annie's song into a song but I don't entirely know what their plan is cause I originally thought that maybe they'd make it into a duet between the two of them but now it might be a shared performance by SHAX and Tea Party? I did enjoy that the two were a team this week and I was thrilled when Li Ma joined JH Entertainment like I thought she would though it feels like JH is going to have to relocate to a bigger location now that Li Ma and all those trainees will be working too!
FINISHED My Roommate Is A Gumiho (16/16): Shin Woo Yeo is a handsome and smart professor. He is also a 999-year-old nine-tailed fox. To become a human, he collects human energy in a bead. Soon, he is set to become a human. Meanwhile, Lee Dam is a university student. One day, her drunk friend falls asleep on top of an expensive car. She apologizes to Shin Woo Yeo, who is the car owner. While Lee Dam struggles to take her friend away, Shin Woo Yeo gives her a hand. An accident happens that changes their fate. Shin Woo Yeo's bead falls out of his mouth, and Lee Dam unintentionally swallows it. The bead can exist inside of a human for no more than 1 year and, afterwards, the bead will break inside of that person. This will cause Lee Dam to die, and Shin Woo Yeo will lose his chance to become a human. Shin Woo Yeo explains to Lee Dam their predicament and suggests that they should live together until they figure out a solution. Lee Dam, who has never had a boyfriend in her life, now lives with Shin Woo Yeo.

So the finale for this show aired this week and I cannot explain for the life of me why I started out shipping the main couple so hard only to end up liking them less and less as the show went on. I can pinpoint the exact moment though and it was right around the red string of fate/breakup arc and I can't help but think that maybe it was due to how much I hated the writing of their relationship and characters from that moment on. I ended up finishing this show entirely for the secondary couple of Jae Jin and Hye Sun who did not get nearly enough screen time to be cute in my opinion. Maybe it's just a matter of my preference of soft male leads? It also really doesn't help that this entire finale was one cliche after another. I mean of course Woo Yeo's powers start flickering and of course they all get excited thinking he's about to become human but in fact it's a sign of his disappearance and of course he disappears but comes back cause of "true love." Ugh hard pass. I do suppose it's cute that Dam's brother and Sun Woo's sister are going to date in the place of them and I kinda liked the twist that Dam's friend was into Jae Jin as a freshman but was caught by the guy she's actually going to end up with. All in all I guess I'd give this show a 6.5 / 10.

What Shows Am I Watching This Week?

Hello everyone and welcome back! Let's dive right in shall we?

The Flash Season 7 Episode 16

Well Bart finally appeared and low key I'm a little pissed about how he did cause of the future implications it has. Like seriously I was waiting all season to see him and now he appears alongside Nora and that's so irritating cause it clearly means that we won't have him for more than an episode or two at most!! We got Nora for a whole damn season but Bart who I adore will only be a guest??? Ugh. I also don't love that he feels like nothing more than a repeat of Nora cause not only is he Barry and Iris's kid rather than their grandkid but Nora already took on all of Bart's high energy and future slang thing so Bart doing the same is a little lame. I also do wonder if the two are going to be twins or what cause seriously I could barely go along with the show wanting me to believe that Jessica Parker Kennedy wasn't almost 40 but now that she's beside Jordan Fisher who's actually 10 years younger than her it's extra not believable! On another note it was really nice to see Diggle and we got a few more hints about his future Green Lantern thing. Apparently since we last saw him, he was trying not to be Green Lantern and the ring was attacking him for not accepting it but it looks like now he will which makes me think that whenever the next DCTV Arrowverse crossover will be, he'll appear as a Green Lantern and we'll have to believe that he had all sorts of adventures off in space as John Diggle Stewart (as we know was his stepfather's last name!)

Wow so the finale is already beginning next week with the first of two parts! I guess Godspeed really is the Big Bad of this second half which tbh is super lame and honestly this whole season can honestly go down as one of the worst. I'd like to blame the pandemic but seriously look at Legends which hasn't skipped a single beat!

Loki Season 1 Episode 5

As penultimate episodes go this was a pretty fun one! I mean so yeah we didn't actually get any more answers than we had last week but I couldn't help but ignore that given that I had fun with meeting more Lokis! As I guessed last week we did meet Kid Loki and then as I found out we met Classic Loki and Boastful Loki as well as Gator Loki and President Loki for a quick second. I do have to say that the absolute best moment was for sure when Classic Loki shouted out one of the fan theories the internet had about Loki escaping Thanos by projecting an illusion and hiding in the debri to escape! It got a real laugh of out me. Thankfully we didn't spend too much with our heroes separated from one another with Loki finding Sylvie and Moebius pretty quickly. I am a little saddened at the fact that Moebius went back to the TVA to wreak havoc rather than go with Loki and Sylvie past the Void but I imagine maybe he'll rally the troops and come to help or perhaps it'll be more that they return and see him ruling the TVA? I'm still not sure who I expect to be behind all this but it's clearly someone who hates Loki cause they really can't seem to stand a Loki who does something outside of their expected path. I do like the fan theories about it being Kang the Conqueror who was a TVA agent at some point in the comics before he left to rule the world basically and the idea that this whole thing is in the quantum realm but tbh that might be too far of a reach for this show so I'll try not to have expectations otherwise when they're not met like with Wandavision I'll just be disappointed.

Leverage: Redemption Season 1A

Dudes you cannot imagine how excited I was to check this show out cause I was a huge huge fan of the original Leverage when I checked it out a few years ago so obviously I would be really curious to see whether this reboot/sequel would be as good as the previous or whether it would change too many things up! To my utmost pleasure the show is like a love letter to the original. Not only does it bring back almost all of the main characters from the original Leverage but the cons also run the same way they did only slightly updated to deal with modern technology and modern bad rich guys. I also loved that rather than do the typical thing most shows do with time skips or sequels Hardison, Eliot, and Parker stayed together as did Nate and Sophie so we jumped right back into our crew loving and trusting and supporting one another. It was a little unfortunate that Hardison only showed up for the first two episodes of the season and I didn't really care for his replacement but I did love Mr Wilson mostly cause I adored Noah Wyle in The Librarians! I'm really looking forward to the next half which should be airing in the Fall/Winter of 2021 or so I've heard!

My Hero Academia Season 5 Episode 15

This was an interesting episode cause it felt like nothing happened in it and we spent so much time in freeze frames watching our heroes pose and look cool but tbh of course the show can't just throw us into fights and craziness from the start! We didn't really focus on much of the others but we did see that a lot of them returned to the heroes they were working with last season during the Emi arc which was sweet but I'm still wondering about what the League Of Villains is up to. Last week I mentioned that it felt like Hawks was in two bad guy organizations but now the show seems to have cleared up the fact that actually the League is working with the Liberation Army (or maybe it's the other way around) but either way I don't entirely understand what that agenda was. I feel like we were told about them in a previous season but I must have forgotten it though if I had to make an assumption it probs has something to do with getting rid of heroes and hierarchy and all that cause that's the vibe a name like the Liberation Army gives me.

Imitation (10/12)
: Lee Ma Ha is a member of the new K-pop girl group Tea Party, formed by Ji Hak, who was once the manager of the famous boy group Shax, but resigned after the sudden disappearance of member Eun Jo in the middle of a concert. Prior to joining Tea Party, Ma Ha was a member of the group Omega III, which disbanded on its debut day due to a tragic incident involving a former trainee at the group's company. When he notices the budding relationship between Ma Ha and Ryok, he determines to protect her from Ryok and lead Sparkling to beat out Shax as the most popular boy group in the industry.

I feel like the abrupt reconciliation of Ma Ha and Ryok felt a little out of nowhere and I'm starting to wonder if I just think that Ma Ha's actress isn't the best at silently emoting which is why I continuously feel like he's more into her than she's into him. I did find it really funny when the two came out to their groups and the groups met up to discuss how to deal with it and tbh I wish we had seen more of this during the span of this show cause it was comedy gold! I also want to shout out the fact that I was right in a sense when Ri Ma left Queen Entertainment after it got sold to NOG but I was surprised that not only was she allowed to leave without any repercussions but also that NOG didn't destroy her rep like I expected. Where in the world did NOG get the money to buy both Queen and wherever Shining is stationed? Now we just have to wait for Ri Ma to join Ji Hak! On another note it did look like the SHAX leader wasn't the only one to know about Eun Jo and Annie cause it seems like Ryok found out and didn't react well which is honestly hilarious considering how he is now.
My Roommate Is A Gumiho (14/16)
: Shin Woo Yeo is a handsome and smart professor.

Okay straight up I'm living for Hye Sun and Jae Jin being the absolute cutest little beans. I love the way he's so head over heels for her and that his kindness is stunning her at every turn. You all know that I absolutely adore soft male leads so I'm always down to see more kind boys win the hearts of the girls they love! I can totally see why he's had so many failed relationships though cause the boy really does through his mind body and soul into whoever he's dating and a bad girl might abuse this love and trust as his exes have but Hye Sun will nurture his softness and also repay him with her own brand of kindness and that's what I adore. I did also love the reveal that it isn't actually energy that turns a Marble blue but a fox feeling human emotions which is ironically so obvious in hindsight cause duh of course to become a human you need to feel like a human but clearly it never appeared in Woo Yeo's mind.

What Shows Am I Watching This Week?

Hello everyone and welcome back! Let's dive right in shall we?

Legends Of Tomorrow Season 6 Episode 8

Low key I'm cackling cause this episode was funnier than it had the right to be. I mean first of all David Ramsay in that horrid fake mustache which clearly had to be a joke cause there's no way that the same show that had this incredible fake worm alien was like yeah we can't afford a nice fake mustache. I was a little disappointed that he wasn't in more of the episode but it was just funny enough that Sara was like "Dig?" when she saw Reeves. Speaking of I was impressed that Sara told Ava and then subsequently the others in like less than one episode about her alien clone thing which once again proves why this show is the best of the Arrowverse. I do kinda wish we spent more time on the idea of Sara being a clone cause I feel like there's still more that we don't understand about the whole soul/clone body thing but I guess the show really doesn't want us to think too hard about it. Constantine spent the whole episode trying to get Gary to tell him about the magic fountain that I expected him to use but it feels like the show's actually not going to focus on that search (unless it's one of those side episodes in which we follow just him) and rather we'll just see him come back with magic again.

Omg I'm dying about how meta next week's episode is going to be. It's clearly a knock on the whole Beebo animated special that's coming soon and I can't wait to see the Legends do their shenanigans!

FINISHED Fruits Basket Season 3 Episode 13

With this final episode of Fruits Basket we're truly coming to the end of an era and it's honestly so bittersweet. We really did get a perfect ending to this show and despite all the issues that everyone else had I never thought that this season was anything less than perfect. I mean yeah I would have loved 25 episodes over 13 but that's a given for most shows cause more is usually better! The reason I think it's bittersweet is cause I don't wanna say goodbye! These last few episodes since the curse broke have felt more of an epilogue than anything else with everyone graduating and getting ready to leave the nest. Yuki is going off to college while Kyo and Tohru are going on their martial arts dojo adventure, Hatori and Mayu are going on vacation, and Arisa was getting ready to meet Kureno wherever he was. I loved seeing Akito a little more calm and in touch with her girly side and really she looked and sounded like a whole new person with how happiness suited her. I also loved that Yuki finally told Tohru that he sees her as a mom but more than that I adored the final scene of this week when we saw Tohru and Kyo having grown old together. They had two kids and at least one grandkid and I almost cried seeing it! I swear if by now you haven't checked this show out then I don't know what you've been waiting for! Do yourself a favor and watch Fruits Basket.

The Flash Season 7 Episode 15

I have to say that it low key sucks that I've known that Bart Allen is coming somewhere down the pike cause it's leaving me disappointed every single week. I really thought this would be the one though given that Nora West-Allen appeared in Barry's dream just like Barry and I thought that this would be evidence that Bart would be Nora's kid so Barry's grandchild like in the comics! To my disappointment not only was Bart not there but also as it turns out Iris wasn't pregnant either. I do wonder if I even want this show to touch Bart with a ten foot pole given their track record on misusing DC characters I adore like poor poor Wally who tbh didn't have it the worst but also didn't exactly have it great either. I do wonder what is up with Iris not appearing in the show these last two weeks and I wonder if Candice has something going on in real life cause her disappearance was really not inconspicuous. I also still don't know what is up with Chill Blaine or the storyline with Kramer but like maybe Cryke will be the Big Bad for the last stretch?

Next week already is looking up given Diggle is showing up and I'm high key living for the fact that David Ramsey clearly struck some sort of deal given that he's appearing in every Arrowverse show currently airing! Oh and there's some more Godspeed stuck but you guys know what I'm into.

Loki Season 1 Episode 4

What even was that ending??? I mean I knew the moment that Loki got pruned that something wasn't going to go the way the TVA wanted but I was assuming time travel would be involved rather than what looks like an alternate universe in which variants are stuffed? Like maybe those fancy sticks just move variants to some sort of prison dimension which is where our Loki met up with other Loki variants. I have a feeling that they're all going to be ones from the comics cause I mean we already have Lady Loki and I know there was a Kid Loki but I'm not sure who the other two are yet but I'm sure by next week the internet will have told me! I do think it's funny that I didn't read the room incorrectly and there was romantic tension brewing between Loki and Sylvie but I sort of assumed that would a line too far for a Disney show and that I was just programmed to see romance between a guy and a girl at all times unless they're siblings but nope their love for each other literally caused the biggest weirdest branch in the Sacred Timeline and I was cackling. It's also important to note that poor Mobius was also pruned and we found out that the Time Keepers were actually robots which begs the question who's actually running the TVA and how and why??

KDRAMA

FINISHED Doom At Your Service (16/16): Tak Dong Kyung has been working hard ever since her parents passed away. Her life seemed more stable after working as an web novel editor for 6 years, but then she gets diagnosed with a brain cancer. She blames her unlucky life and wishes to curse everything to disappear, which unintentionally calls Myeol Mang, a messenger between humans and gods, to appear. He says that he can grant her wishes. As her last hope, she makes a contract with Myeol Mang for a hundred days to live how she wants, risking her everything.

So the finale for this show aired this week and I'm torn about it. When I first started this show I was so wrapped up in the incredible cinematography and chemistry between our leads that I thought that it was perfection but as the show went on I started to see more and more cracks in the writing. Now don't get me wrong there are tons of shows that I've adored despite writing failures but that have had great couples come out of them but I'm not sure what it was about these two that just didn't emotionally grab me outside of oh they're cute. Maybe I should just stop following fandoms and the hype that surround them since without a doubt they never seem to add to my enjoyment of a show. All that rambling nonsense to say that I was mostly just indifferent to this finale. We spent a large chunk of it with Dong Kyung mourning Myeol Mang and in the end it was like I thought and cause Myeol Mang died he was reborn as a human. The Deity was even kind enough to keep him in Dong Kyung's friends and family's memories and left him his house. I thought it was honestly hilarious that he became a doctor cause apparently he got a medical degree at some point in his endless time on Earth but the best part was definitely when he met Hyun Gu and the two instantly clicked and what I would give to see that show!! I was surprised that the show didn't end with Dong Kyung and Myeol Mang married but I guess all's well that ends well. I'd give this show a 7 / 10.
Imitation (9/12)
: Lee Ma Ha is a member of the new K-pop girl group Tea Party, formed by Ji Hak, who was once the manager of the famous boy group Shax, but resigned after the sudden disappearance of member Eun Jo in the middle of a concert. Prior to joining Tea Party, Ma Ha was a member of the group Omega III, which disbanded on its debut day due to a tragic incident involving a former trainee at the group's company.

This is me showing up here five hours late with a Starbucks cup in my hand ready to apologize for what an idiot I was last week. I don't know if I was just in a bad mood that day or if I was projecting what I think about the kpop idol industry in general onto poor Ma Ha and Ryok but I'll be the first to say that I was completely and utterly wrong about everything I was pissed about last week. Ma Ha wasn't upset with Ryok and in fact she completely understood why he was breaking up with her and agreed with it. I don't love that Ri Ma was egging Ryok on about how he should have known what he was getting into before dating cause part of me knows that Ryok's CEO is no pushover but the rest of me kinda agrees with her too cause he's a veteran by now so like he should have known dating was no joke. I still do love Ri Ma to pieces though and I really worry about the fact that NOG wants to buy her and the CEO clearly hinted that his henchman should destroy her reputation so she can be bought dirt cheap. I wonder if this whole show will end with her joining Tea Party's entertainment company? I did like seeing Tea Party slowly rise up in the ranks of kpop though cause I do always enjoy that part of this show more than the romance half the time.
My Roommate Is A Gumiho (12/16)
: Shin Woo Yeo is a handsome and smart professor.

The absolute most annoying thing about most modern fantasy rom coms is that there's always some sort of ticking time clock on our leads in which one will die and I really wish they would stop doing it cause I'm honestly so sick and tired of it. It's also exhausting that couples never actually tell each other the truth cause god forbid they actually communicate and cut out misunderstandings. Why can't Woo Yeo tell Dam that he only has a little while to his 1000 years on this Earth and if he doesn't turn human by then he will die so he needs to take the energy from others? It's also really annoying of this show to do this red string of fate storyline which I worried about last week but I definitely hate it now. Sun Woo is one of the worst types of second male leads where he just can't take no for an answer. How many times and how many ways does Dam need to say that she likes someone else and she doesn't want to date him?? I don't care if he thinks that she's dating the devil himself it's none of his goddamn business!! The ironic thing is that she is starting to fall for him despite knowing it's the string that's leading her to him but at the same time I think it's important that Hye Sun mentioned that the string is just one path you can take cause humans can choose their own destiny. Speaking of the highlight of this week was definitely Hye Sun and Jae Jin. I was living for how he thought they slept together but their fake dating was everything too!!
