Reign Season 1 Episode 9 Review

Alright then! Now onto my post on Reign!!! So when I saw the previews, I knew this was going to be a very sad episode for me because I am a Frary shipper and the promos were very Mary/Bash centric. I don't even know their ship name.... But I kept an open mind and leapt into the episode. Overall the episode was very sad but also very creative. I really enjoyed the plot twist and the turn the show is taking although I don't completely agree with it! Now if you haven't seen this episode, come back when you have! Spoilers ahead!

Okay so this entire episode revolved around Bash and Mary as I stated before with slight tones of Francis. The episode started with Bash and Mary being captured fairly quickly. They returned to the castle and Mary was confronted by Francis but she stayed strong and refused to fall for Francis's adorable speech. Catherine came to her and was angry that she returned. According to her, Henry was never going to let her go again because he wants England. And that is true. Henry gives Mary an ultimatum, either she marries Francis or he kills Bash. Mary decides that the only way to save both and leave would be to tell Francis the truth although Catherine is very against it.

Francis thinks that the prophecy is nothing but superstition (as it should be) and wishes Mary would let him make his own decisions. Her mother is also not on her side. Scotland wishes to rule England as well. Distraught and at her wit's end, Mary offers another way out to the king. She tells him that she wants Bash to be legitimized and made heir to the throne and then she will marry him and they will rule France, England and Scotland together. Henry is intrigued but does not think it will work because Catherine will not agree to an annulment which is the only method to legitimize Bash.

Francis learns of the offer and rushes off to the dungeons and gets into a fight with Bash about Mary only to be interrupted by Mary herself. She begs him to calm down and tells him that marrying Bash was her idea and he only knew of the prophecy. Francis tells Mary how much he loves her and wishes that she would see past her stubbornness. Catherine devises of a plan to kill both Mary and Bash so that Francis will stay heir to the throne and alive. Unfortunately for her, Henry is already five steps ahead. He agrees to Mary's conditions because he's always liked Bash and Diane better than Francis and Catherine and because he wants England.

The line of succession after Bash would still be the same as long as Bash and Mary have no children which leads to Catherine's plans being unveiled in front of the court. Francis tells Catherine that if any harm were to befall Mary, Bash or Henry, he would know it was due to Catherine and as his first act as king, he would execute her for treason. Catherine gives in and tries to escape the castle as she's afraid that Henry will kill her to avoid her interfering with his plans but Henry locks her up. Mary and Bash share a conversation about becoming the next rulers and she comforts him while he looks to be in a daze at the idea that they will marry as soon as Henry returns from Rome where he will try to convince the pope of the change in line.

Now that the recap is out of the way, my thoughts! So I really hate stupid Nostradamus and his stupid prophecies! I don't want Bash and Mary to marry. I don't want them to rule. I don't want them to fall in love. But at the same time, I loved their interactions in this episode. I really like their friendship and how much they are willing to sacrifice to save Francis. I also think this plot twist of Bash becoming king is really interesting and I'm sure it will result in many fun storylines. But Francis's stupid adorable face was so sad in this episode! I almost cried for him in that scene in the throne room where he tells Mary of the future he saw with her and how once he was jealous of Bash's freedom!

Honestly, I think that Frary is endgame. I think Francis will stay heir to the throne and I think they will marry one day. I think that all of this Bash stuff is just a roadblock for them. Honestly I do love Bash's character but just not with Mary. I don't really understand the "love triangle" in this show. There really isn't one! Mary loves Francis and sees Bash as a friend and a way to save the man she loves. Maybe they'll make Bash/Mary's relationship grow as the episodes continue. But if that happens, I think we need to learn a little more about Bash as a person first. His character is supposed to be the bad boy but we haven't seen it. He's honestly just Francis's hotter older half-brother.

Okay so overall, loved the episode but hated that it destroyed all my Frary feels. I will stay positive though. I can wait. I waited two and a half seasons for Klaroline so I can wait for Frary to finally be together. And possibly watch a lot of Frary Youtube videos... Don't judge me. And that's all for today!!! Have a wonderful Friday!

Vampire Diaries 5x11 Thoughts

Hi everyone. So I'm going to be doing a post for the Vampire Diaries episode last night because I need to comment on it. My feels have been broken from the show. Let's start with the Vampire Diaries.

So first and foremost, congrats to TVD on 100 episodes! Now onto the episode itself. Overall I was extremely excited to watch the episode because it seemed like a lot of awesome stuff was going to happen. And after watching the episode, I have to say overall it was a great episode but one sad thing overshadowed the rest for me. There will be spoilers below so if you haven't watched the episode yet, go watch it and then come back!

First off, I really liked the whole tribute to Katherine drinking party thing. It was hilarious to see how much terror Katherine placed upon them! I also liked how Stefan was all sweet to Katherine and wanted her last moments to be peaceful but at the same time, it was also hilarious that Damon was there to gloat over her death like the ass he is!! Her flashbacks were kind of boring though but the one about Stefan was cute!

Also I soooo called it that Katherine wasn't going to die! She's just too much of an awesome character to do so! And I knew she was going to jump into Elena's body from the moment Nadia talked about jumping into another body and she said Stefan likes this body in the midseason finale episode! I do like how they held off on that until the very last minutes because it kept you guessing! The appearance by "Elijah" was cute though too although I wished that he had actually been there. Did it hint at the fact that Katherine still has feelings for him or they've spent so much time together that he's like an old friend?

Bonnie and Jeremy didn't do too much in this episode but Matt did! I laughed when he was attacked by Nadia and used as blackmail. It's pretty obvious now that always happen. He might as well wear a sign that reads Vampire Bait/Blackmail. I did think it was cute though that Rebekah saved him although I wanted to see more of Rebekah and Matt interacting other than a smile...

Speaking of relationships, I used to so be on the Elena/Damon ship but now something about their chemistry has fizzled. I didn't enjoy most of the scenes revolving them or discussing their romance. Expect the one in the beginning when Damon was drunk at the Mystic Grill. I laughed so hard when Jeremy and Matt talked about him like he wasn't there and then he called Matt a dumbass. Stefan was really sweet about their relationship. He's like practically over Elena and it was nice of him to offer advice to both halves of Delena. I wonder who his next love interest will be? Still Katherine but in Elena's body?

And finally. The part that overshadowed most of the episode, at least for me. Klaus and Caroline reuniting! You knew this was coming! I saved the best and most emotional for last! I was really really excited when I saw the promo with them together and I heard they were going to kiss but honestly I was just happy they were going to interact. So when he appeared and he followed her and they talked, I was buzzing with joy. THEN he made his speech. His stupid speech. His speech about how he would never come back if only Caroline told him the truth about how she felt about him. So then she starts talking about how she doesn't want him around because she's starting a new life and he clouds her judgement but then she kisses him. It was really cute and Klaus smirked in the hottest way. Then I'm assuming they went at it in the forest.

Now all that I didn't mind. What broke my heart was the fact that Klaus promised to leave Mystic Falls and never go after her again. I am really really hoping he means that he won't come to her but she can still come to him and he will wait. I really hope that she will go to him one day, ready to face her feelings for more than a one-night stand sort of deal. I really hope Caroline continues to think about Klaus and doesn't get back with Tyler who came back (Yay *Rolls eyes*). It's not just a thing of I love Klaroline, I just really hate Tyler. Caroline can date whoever she wants, be it Klaus, Stefan, Enzo, just not Tyler. Please TVD gods. Hear my plea!

So overall I loved this episode! There was a bunch of cameos from dead characters of the show! We finally got Klaroline (I'm going to ignore the speech and think about their kiss)! Rebekah and Elijah appeared! Katherine is still alive! Tomorrow I will be posting my review on the Reign episode from last night!!!

Gods of Olympus - TV Shows

Hello all!!! You all remember my tag on books right? Well I promised you one on tv shows and here it is finally!!!

Zeus: Name Your Favorite Fictional Leader.

Hmmm... I would have to go with Phil Coulson from Agents of SHIELD on this one! He knows exactly how to use his team properly and has great gut instincts. Phil believes in his team and knows they can always do better. He comforts them when they need it and cracks down when they're falling apart. Without him and his plans, they wouldn't be able to work together and would fall apart!

Hera: Who Are Your Favorite Fictional Parents?

This one is a no-brainer! Stef and Lena from the Fosters!!! They look out for their children and always know when one needs their love and comfort. Stef and Lena try to do right with their kids and place them as their number one priorities. If one of the kids needs advice, they're always there to help out and they tell their kids to always be themselves and be proud. Their love is endless as they took in four foster kids, two of which they just met two months ago!

Demeter: What Fictional Food Would You Want To Try?

Well this one is kind of hard because most of the shows I watch eat normal food so I guess I'd have to go with New Orleans gumbo from the Originals. I've always wanted to try authentic gumbo and supposedly Sophie makes the best gumbo in Louisiana!!!

Poseidon: Name A TV Show Where Water Is Central Either In Setting Or Plot

I would have to go with Arrow on this one!!! The entire show couldn't exist if Oliver had not gone on a yacht trip to China and hadn't been shipwrecked on an island! His dad and the crew died and Sara almost drowned. The island created the Green Arrow and allowed Oliver to find his purpose in life!

Dionysus: Which Character Would You Want To Party With?

This one I would have to say the girls of the Vampire Diaries, Elena, Bonnie and Caroline. These girls know how to cut loose and have some fun! They love to throw parties and drink and overall just have a great time! I would love to be able to join in on their fun!!

Apollo: What Was A Debut TV Show That Was Fantastic?

Although the Originals debuted this year and was fantastic, I don't think it actually counts because it's a spinoff of the Vampire Diaries so instead, I will go with Reign!!!! It's super creative as the idea has never been done before! Reign's characters are so interesting and multi-faceted. The storylines keep you on the edge of your seat and the girls of the show are kickass! Is it any wonder that it won best new tv drama at the People's Choice Awards?

Artemis: Favorite Female Heroine

I will have to go with Mary from Reign here as my favorite female heroine. Mary is smart, cunning, loyal and brave! She will do anything she has to for the people she loves and never backs down from a fight. Mary finds the good in people and always allows her subjects to speak for themselves. Being the queen of Scotland does not make her think that she's better than anyone else but instead uses that power to help others!

Athena: Character Who Is Wise

Fitz and Simmons from Agents of SHIELD all the way!!! Although these are two characters, Fitz and Simmons are such an amazing team together that it's impossible to pick one over the other. They are both extremely smart and know how to analyze and create anything. Seriously, Simmons created the vaccine to an alien virus in the span of four hours! They know when to back down and allow someone else to take charge but also know when to step up.

Hermes: If You Could Travel To A Place, Fictional Or Not, Where Would You Go?

If I could go anywhere, I would say the Enchanted Forest from Once Upon a Time. It would be amazing to go there! I could meet practically every fairytale creature and learn how to ride horses and sword fight and shoot arrows and be badass! It's always nice there and it would be fun to visit!

Hephaestus: If I Could Make A Fictional Weapon Or Tool, What Would You Want?

I would love a bow and arrow from Arrow! Oliver is amazing at shooting arrows and I would love to have a bow and arrow and be able to learn to shoot arrows! He taught Helena afterall!

Ares: Which Fictional Battle Was Your Favorite?

I'd definitely have to go with the battle between Klaus and Marcel's army in the Originals! It was so amazing to watch Klaus be all badass and defeat half of Marcel's army BY HIMSELF! I was literally glued to the tv while the fight was going on! I loved when Klaus was all chained up and being attacked and Rebekah looked all worried but then Klaus looked up and had his hybrid eyes on and then Marcel and Rebekah were like oh shit, we're about to lose!!! It wasn't drawn out but it also wasn't blink and you'll miss it!

Aphrodite: Who Is Your Ultimate Ship?

I have a lot of ships but my honest ultimate ship would have to be Klaroline aka Klaus and Caroline from the Vampire Diaries/the Originals! I have been on this ship from the very first episode in which they interacted and I will not get off of it until both the shows end! I refuse to believe that anyone but them are endgame and even if they aren't together in the end, my mind decides that they will find each other in a few decades and will be together then!

My other ships if you care would be Captain Swan (Hook/Emma from Once Upon a Time) followed by Frary (Mary/Francis from Reign) followed by Olicity (Oliver/Felicity from Arrow) followed by Rumpbelle (Rumpelstiltskin/Belle from Once Upon a Time) followed by Delena (Damon/Elena from Vampire Diaries) followed by Skyeward (Skye/Ward from Agents of SHIELD). I love a lot of couples haha.

Hades: If I Could Bring A Character Back, Which One Would You Want To Bring Back To Life?

I would definitely have to go with Kol from the Vampire Diaries/the Originals! I would soooo sad when he died and it doesn't seem fair to me that Bonnie came back to life but Kol did not! Character-wise it seemed weird that Klaus, a man who loves his family and doesn't want them to leave him, did not try to bring back his younger brother to life! I mean he must have had a witch able to do so like Bonnie did! Anyway, Kol definitely!

So that's it!!! I hope you enjoyed my tv show version of the Gods of Olympus!!! Love you all!

God of Olympus - Books

Hello all!!! So I saw this tag on YouTube and I thought it looked pretty fun so here we go!!!

Zeus: Name Your Favorite Fictional Leader.

I would definitely have to go with Percy Jackson from the Percy Jackson series. Not only is Percy just super badass, being the son of Poseidon after all, he's brave and selfless and will sacrifice his life for others. He's an amazing fighter and he knows how to talk himself out of bad situations. Percy has great instincts and never wavers from his beliefs!

Hera: Who Are Your Favorite Fictional Parents?

Honestly not a lot of books that I read have parents in them... I guess I'd have to go with Luke and Jocelyn from the Mortal Instruments even though I didn't really like Jocelyn in City of Fallen Angels... They're there when Clary needs them and although they might not be the most supportive, they love her.

Demeter: What Fictional Food Would You Want To Try?

Hmmm.... I'm not sure. I guess I'd go with ambrosia from the Greek gods. It's food that can taste like whatever we want it to so you'd never crave anything! AND it can heal you if your injured which is a plus. The only downside would be that I'm not a god or a half-blood so I may die from taking it haha!

Poseidon: Name A TV Show Where Water Is Central Either In Setting Or Plot

Duh. This one is easy. The Percy Jackson series!!! The main character Percy is a son of Poseidon so he has powerful water abilities like talking to marine life, controlling the flow of water, being able to heal himself with water and breathing under water. I mentioned he was badass right?

Dionysus: Which Character Would You Want To Party With?

Well the easy answer would be Izzy from the Mortal Instruments!!! She definitely knows how to cut back and have some fun!!! We could go dancing and meet boys and take a couple of shots!!!

My other answer, is Lizzie from Pride and Prejudice. Okay okay. I know what you're thinking. Why on earth would Allie like to do that? I wouldn't want to live in this era but I would LOOOOOVE to go to a party or two. I've always loved the beautiful dresses and amazing hairstyles and it would be epic to dance at a ball!!!

Apollo: What Was A Debut TV Show That Was Fantastic?

Divergent. It was Veroncia Roth's first book and it was incredible!!! I loved reading every single sentence in it from beginning to end! Divergent was very creative and fun to follow and the characters were relatable!

Artemis: Favorite Female Heroine

Hmmm... Honestly I'm not sure. I begin by loving a lot of female characters but then I hate them in sequels. I loved Tris in Divergent but hated her in Insurgent. I liked Juliette in Shatter Me and hated her in Unravel Me. Loved America in the Selection, hated her in the Elite. You get my point. I guess my favorite heroine would have to be Clary. Clary is not the most badass female but she was brave without having any training or power. She would move heaven and earth to help those she loved.

Athena: Character Who Is Wise

This answer depends on what aspect of wise I would consider. If you consider book smarts, I would go with Annabeth. She is the daughter of Athena so wisdom comes naturally. She knows all about Greek myths and can strategize in battle. She adds details to Percy's plans and knows when to speak up.

Street wise, I'd go with Kenji from the Shatter Me series. He knows how to talk to people and when to pick a fight. Kenji was the only person able to snap Juliette from her Adam funk and remind her that there are bigger problems than her love life. He knows how to get her powers working and what buttons to push to get her motivated.

Hermes: If You Could Travel To A Place, Fictional Or Not, Where Would You Go?

My number one place to visit would be Camp Half-Blood from the Percy Jackson series!!! It sounds super awesome! Most of the campers are friendly and don't take things too seriously. I mean rock walls, capture-the-flag and a gigantic lake! What's not to love? Camp Half-Blood is like a giant family that looks out for each other.

Hephaestus: If I Could Make A Fictional Weapon Or Tool, What Would You Want?

Hmm I'd go with a stele from the Mortal Instruments! I think it would be super cool to be able to draw a rune on myself and gain strength or speed or heal myself! There's a rune for everything and if a rune doesn't exist, Clary could always make you one ;)

Ares: Which Fictional Battle Was Your Favorite?

This one is a no-brainer!!! The final battle between the Greek Gods and Kronos's army in the Percy Jackson series aka the Battle of Manhattan. It was amazing. I could not stop reading for a second. The battle was well written and very intense. I was literally on the edge of my seat! I liked how all of the Greek half-bloods teamed together to save their city while the Greek Gods were out fighting. I loved how each character had their moment of triumph and Rachel came back to become the oracle!

Aphrodite: Who Is Your Ultimate Ship?

My ultimate ship would have to be Warner and Juliette from the Shatter Me series. Now technically they aren't a couple but I feel like they fit each other. At first glance they're nothing but the cliche bad boy and good girl relationship but digging deeper, they just fit. Warner brings out Juliette's strength and makes her believe in herself. Juliette physically strengthens Warner with her touch and she makes him want to be a better person. I really hope that they bite the bullet and become a couple in the final Shatter Me book!!!

Hades: If I Could Bring A Character Back, Which One Would You Want To Bring Back To Life?

At first thought I could not really think of anyone who died that I really wanted to return to life but glancing through my bookshelf I realized what should have been a no-brainer!! Gatsby from the Great Gatsby! When I was reading the book, I cried when he died. He didn't deserve his death. All Gatsby did was try to protect the love of his life and he got shot for it! He didn't deserve not having anyone come to his funeral and he deserved to find a love that would not choose society over him! Nick needed him to maintain his faith in society!

So that's all!!! Sometime in the near future, I will do either a movie or a book version of the Gods of Olympus tag!!!

xoxo Allie
