Hello everyone and welcome back! Let's dive right in shall we?
As much as I liked last week's episode this week was much more my speed in terms of the plot. I mean yes there was no Kyo or Tohru but I live for Rin and Haru and Hiro being adorable. One of the most interesting things from this week were the reveals that a lot of the other characters didn't actually know everything we did. I mean I sort of assumed that all the zodiacs knew how horrible Akito was and that she would punish any of the zodiacs who fell in love with anyone else so it seemed obvious to me that she hurt Kisa cause of Hiro and Rin cause of Haru but apparently that was news to Kisa and Haru. It did lead to Haru rampaging which was everything and more importantly it looks like his bond with Akito is fraying!! For a while now I've been thinking about what could possibly break the curse but now I wonder if it's as simple as devotion to and love for another person? Akito is fascinating cause on the one hand whenever I think she cannot get any worse she sinks to new levels but at the same time I can't look away like a car wreck and I so totally ship the trainwreck that is her and Shigure. I also liked that Kureno was the one to find poor Rin and defy Akito cause of all the zodiacs he's the only one that can and I like that he's playing a bigger role this season.
My Hero Academia Season 5 Episode 6
Yeah so Class A lost this second battle and it was totally a surprise twist cause I thought that Momo had really thought of everything only to be thrown when Class B still won. I don't know how exactly the mushrooms worked on Todoroki when he sprayed disinfectant on himself but I guess we're supposed to assume that she planted those spores at the start and only grew them when things were the most dire. Her power is one of the worst I've seen and like the purple guy from Class A I'm always left wondering how on Earth their powers could ever be used to really win in a fight. They're more support heroes but I guess since this school doesn't actually have a sidekick class that the heroes and sidekicks learn together so I can let it slide. I do have to say though that it was a bit devious of Class B to be like your fatal flaw was that you tried to play this as a game/training rather than fighting us like we're actually villains. I do really hope that the next competition who I think Shouto is in wins cause I really can't with this show constantly shitting on poor Shouto. I know he's not the main character or the main character's rival but I still adore him!
