Welcome To Demon School Iruma-Kun Episode 4
I am living for this show and completely insane it is. It's like a constant series of unfortunate events for Iruma with the twist being that the events tend to end positively for him. It's amazing cause I can totally see this going on and on until he accidentally becomes the Demon King and I will be living. This week we met Iruma's new class of misfits and many of them I recognized from the opening song so I guess that they'll end up being a lot of the main characters since we spend so much time in school! None of them really stood out to be if I'm being honest except for Sabro who had more screen time than the others but so far he's meh to me. We also had the first part of a race cause we'll be determining demon rank through this and I have a feeling that Iruma will end up in first cause he charmed who I'm thinking was Cutthroat Valley Guardian. Sabro was fighting another creature and he thought that was the Guardian but the way this show works, I bet that creature was only the Guardian's guardian or something of that nature cause when we first saw it, it was protecting the smaller creature that Iruma ended up healing. It's really interesting that human blood seems to have some sort of healing power in the demon world and I'll be interested to see how that comes back in the future! I still love the comedy in this show cause it places the most deadpan people into the silliest situations and I'm so into that kind of humor!
Special 7: Special Crime Investigation Unit Episode 4
Stand My Heroes: Piece Of Truth Episode 4
Batwoman Season 1 Episode 4
The more I see of this show, the more I can't help but wish that so much would be different about the setup in this show. It feels like every other show in this Arrowverse with nothing separating it except maybe the fact that Batwoman doesn't have a team yet other than Luke but knowing this universe I'm sure it won't be long now before the team grows. My struggle is that unlike Supergirl, this show is set in the same city where the predecessor to the hero we follow lived but this world doesn't feel lived in! I can let it go for Supergirl cause Kara doesn't live in Metropolis but Kate is literally in Gotham! Like if Bruce was Batman for so many years, has he had a Batfamily? Where is Commissioner Gordon? Where is Lucius Fox? Why is Wayne Ent completed wrecked rather than just having a different CEO? Why have a Bat signal if we're not going to play around with the idea that people who need help or the police turn it on? What happened to all of Batman's rogues? I think maybe I was just hoping that like Kara with the DEO maybe Kate would work with the police but like we haven't seen any police! Maybe this show will have her working with the Crows instead since the only experience I have with a Batwoman is from the animated movie Batman: Bad Blood in which Kate and her father are super close and he knows her secret which is kind of what I was hoping for from this show. Speaking of Jacob, I am glad though that he found out that Mary faked Beth's death because I knew she had something to do with Beth and I don't like or trust her but I don't understand why she felt the need to do that. Jacob and Mary weren't dating or married at the time so why would she care about Jacob and Kate "moving on" from Beth's death? And like what gives her the right to decide that anyway?? It's not her child!
Ooh it looks like we might be getting Beth's backstory next week? What are the odds that she was taken in by the Mad Hatter? I mean why else choose Alice as her nom de plume? It also looks like Jacob might have officially decided to see Alice as Beth and I can't wait to see what happens!
The Flash Season 6 Episode 4
I've decided that the reason that I'm mostly meh about the big emotional plot this season is the same problem I had back in season 3 when the show was trying so hard to convince me that Iris was going to die. There's absolutely no way that Barry Allen dies in this Crisis cause there's this show is not getting cancelled unlike Oliver over on Arrow who I am terrified of dying which is why continually talking about Barry's death does nothing to me. It seems as though every episode we focus on Barry and another Team Flash member so that we can help Barry and that person process their feelings and this week it was Cisco that was the focus. The funny thing is that the show said something about Cisco being Barry's best friend and for a second my brain was like um what cause it feels like a thousand years since Cisco and Barry even spent any time together! Cisco's usually with whatever Wells we have this season or Caitlin and now Ralph while Barry is always with Iris so it was just funny for a second. I do suppose it was more believable than if Iris said that Caitlin was her best friend so there's that. Ramsey also went full-on villain this week and I'm over here uncaring about him but curious about this Dominator cure that Barry and co stole cause Nash claimed that it could cure anything but obviously it didn't help with the HLH so it probs won't do anything for Barry and the anti-matter so I'm wondering if Nash made the whole thing up or if Ramsey just didn't wait long enough or if he was too far gone. We did find out that Nash has been hunting for the Monitor this whole time which is what I guessed last week! Why he's hanging out in the sewers under Central City is even more curious though.
Next week looks bomb! It's a Cisco centric episode and it looks like it's going to be crazy and totally out there which I have said over and over that is where The Flash excels! Maybe Cisco will end up getting his powers back?
Arrow Season 8 Episode 3
OH MY GOD ARE YOU SCREAMING CAUSE I'M SCREAMING AT THE END OF THIS EPISODE! What in the actual hell just happened!?!?!? I said for a while now that the only way I would get even the slightest bit interested in what happened in the future is if Oliver somehow ended up there through Monitor shenanigans and low and behold it looks as though Mia, Connor and William got moved to the past. Yes Monitor!!!! Give us everything we wanted! Okay but seriously this episode was actually really good and it brought us the return and what might possibly be the last appearance of Thea! I didn't realize just how much I missed Thea until I saw her again and I love that her new longer hair actually makes her look younger like the Thea from season 1 or 2! I was hoping for a Nyssa appearance cause we were going to Nanda Parbat but instead we got more Thalia which is fine though we did see a bunch of her last season so if I had to pick a sister, it would have been Nyssa. We didn't really learn anything new from this trip about the Monitor which was unfortunate cause all the texts said was that he might be the reason for the Crisis to happen in the first place but I don't really believe that cause I'm pretty sure it's the Anti-Monitor that's the bad guy of Crisis and at the same time Oliver didn't exactly seem like he was going to officially stop helping so I'm not sure what the point of this episode was tbh other than maybe to show us Thea again. Lyla and Diggle had a side mission where they saved Sandra and Connor and I thought at first this might be how Sandra dies leaving Connor one step closer to being adopted into the family but Sandra ended up being saved so once again I'm not sure what the point of this mission was either. I did like that Lyla seemed torn up about her whole Monitor mission thing but I'm sure Diggle will forgive her cause she thought it was the right thing to do.
I'm really excited for next week in case you couldn't tell about how I spent half of this week's review squealing about the Queen family uniting in what feels like the most fanfiction-y troupe-y mess that I'm 100% about. I wonder if Team Arrow will end up fixing the problem or whatever led to the horrible future we've been watching cause that would totally make up for how much we all hated what the legacy of Arrow was and then we could wrap up the flash-forwards on a happy-ish note believing that the 8 years we spent with Oliver meant something.
Riverdale Season 4 Episode 4
Okay so we're really just going to pretend like Cheryl keeping a mummified corpse of her twin brother is a completely normal thing huh? I really expected Toni to be more horrified than she was but instead we spent the episode pretending like Toni was in the wrong for wanting to bury Jason. I really hope that this isn't the end of this cause if I were Toni, I might be low key scared of Cheryl. I also think it's kind of hilarious that we're pretty much pretending like the Serpents aren't a thing this season and replacing them with Dodger and his crew as the big bad gang on the streets when they've never been a thing before though I suppose with the Serpents and the Ghoulies combining into one and then possibly dissolving, the streets were open for conquest. I do have to admit that I'm super over it as a storyline for Archie. It's also hilariously weird that Alice and Betty are living in the same house as FP and Jellybean (not Jughead cause he's still at Stonewall) cause Betty and Jughead are dating and so are FP and Alice apparently so it's like two groups of couples in one house. I was wondering what kind of person Charles would end up being and it turns out just as terrible as Chic was having bugged Betty's phone. Part of me would like to believe that he's doing it in case of the Farm or whatever but I think it's truly just a he's creepy thing. Another person who's creepy is Mr Honey the new principal who just gives me the heebie jeebies. He defs destroyed Reggie's car and like what a terrible adult cause who responds to a childish prank with actual destruction of property?! Also Jughead was trapped in a coffin all episode and if that wasn't terrible enough we actually see his corpse at the end of the episode and I really hate that cause now that we've seen a body, Jughead is actually going to die in this show isn't he? I had hoped that the whole missing angle was a way for the show to give Cole an out but maybe he really took it?
The promo for next week is showing us that Betty might be afraid of being a killer like her father and it's possible the show is trying to hint to us that she might have killed Jughead but I think if anyone did it, it would be Charles who is trying to connect to Betty by taking away the person she turns to when she's in pain.
Assassin's Pride Episode 4
This was kind of a boring episode this week but that's mostly cause it felt like it was setting up the pieces for next week. Melida and Elise were chosen to participate in a competition with their rival girl's school and as it turned out, Elise's nanny was the one who cheated and put their names up. I wonder if there's more to this nanny cause otherwise why would she be so furious with the idea that Melida and Elise are friends or even compared to each other. It's the same thing as Melida's father basically sending assassins after her cause it's like seriously you're supposed to be nobility or whatever and yet you're opening yourself to the public with the shame of being cuckholded? I would have just taken whatever blessing Melida received to get mana and pretended she was a late bloomer! I'm still waiting for Melida's sudden power to show up and beat everyone else but it's still really early in the season so we have to listen to everyone constantly tell Melida that she's not strong or powerful and I just can't help but feel so bad for her. I did like the training scene we got with Kufa and Melida and her team cause it was nice seeing what Kufa was like during training and he was just as rough as I expected though of course he should have been cause that's not the time to be kind! I'm looking forward to this upcoming competition though and I wonder if it'll take place next week or if we'll have another setup-ish episode before the competition.
Titans Season 2 Episode 9
Okay this was the absolute weirdest episode ever cause it felt like almost every person was acting out of character for them so much so that I kept waiting for the sudden reveal that it was all a nightmare from Dick's subconscious! I mean the reaction from the Titans about Dick's truth was so insane! I understand Rose running and maybe even Jason cause he's in pain but the old Titans gained almost zero new information cause what's the difference between Dick arriving to Jericho's death and Jericho dying to save Dick and seriously they were all involved in using Jericho not just Dick so they need to get out of their own asses. Rachel leaving was the absolute weirdest though cause I would have thought that she of all people knew about making bad decisions and forgiveness. Poor angel Gar was the only one who stayed back and I love him all the more for it. He finally got the screen time we were begging for but he probs was not the best person to train Connor though I think we all expected Connor to struggle anyway. Gar's final phone call to Dick at the end of the episode where he was trying to hold back tears was so heartbreaking and I'm dying for him but at least Kory is on her way back and might be able to help! Hank and Dawn went back to the shitty town they left from and I was like dude why would you not pick a new city to start over from? I'm terrified for Hank cause it looks like he's going to be falling off the wagon again and that's even more heartbreaking. Kory and Faddei were super weird too cause it was like a few weeks ago Faddei was trying to convince Kory to come home cause her parents wanted her back and now all of a sudden he's trying to convince Kory to hide cause Blackfire is hunting them down and she killed everyone on Tamaran who was on Kory's side including their parents? I mean truthfully I didn't mind all that much cause it seems to be moving Kory's story back to what's canon and I low key love that. I also have a very strong feeling now that Jericho didn't actually die and that he's inside Slade using his powers cause the slight breakdown Slade had during his confrontation with Dick was really strange and Dick suddenly wanting to get arrested was weird too making me think that he somehow jumped into Dick.
