What Shows Am I Watching This Week?

Hello everyone and welcome back! Anyway, let's dive right in shall we?

Welcome To Demon School Iruma-Kun Episode 7

Omg Ameri might be my favorite character in this show after this week! I adore her so much and she's so relatable and amazing! I love that she's so obsessed with those terribly written mangas and that she's forced Iruma into reading them to her while taking everything it says as fact. My favorite moment might have been when she was trying to summon Iruma after school and she attempted to go all girly with it like the manga female lead only to be shamed into deleting the text immediately. Up there with favorite moments also had to be when Iruma and Ameri met and they were basically having two separate conversations where Ameri thought that Iruma was trying to seduce her and Iruma thought that Ameri was pissed at him! I wonder if she'll end up being the one to get Iruma to want to stay in the Netherworld (inadvertently of course) after asking him to come up with an ambition that he'll want to chase. I mean we all know that he will become Demon King but I'm curious how he'll do that in the show. Azz and Clara were everything too cause of how completely jealous they got at the idea that Iruma doesn't want to spend time with them anymore but I low key was stunned that Azz saw Iruma and Ameri and decided that Iruma was trying to win the Student Council over to be the leader of the school cause that's defs going to happen by accident though I wish that Azz had thought that Iruma was replacing them cause that would have been funnier! As a sidebar I didn't realize this show had 24 episodes until this week so here I was thinking that we're a little past halfway when in actuality we're not halfway through yet and I'm living cause the more episodes this show has the better!!!!

Special 7: Special Crime Investigation Unit Episode 7

Ah so it was Nijou's brother Luka who saved Seiji all those years ago in that airport terrorist attack. I had a feeling but I wasn't entirely sure though this week now that we've gotten a better prolonged look at Luka, I couldn't help but notice that Seiji and Luka look alike which honestly feels like a random coincidence rather than a hint. Despite that I do think that Nijou and Luka might not be blood siblings though which of the two were adopted isn't entirely known yet cause Nijou was in fact an elf when he was a child but Luka is clearly human so maybe Luka was Seiji's older brother but was lost as a child or abandoned and got adopted by Nijou's family. We also saw that the reason Luka's the right hand man of Nine and didn't recognize Nijou last week was due to him being mind-controlled as I guessed (cause Luka's eyes were just so blank every time we saw him). The leader of Nine found him dying and gave him dragon blood in order to control him and for a second I did wonder if that's what Nijou found out this week but he mentioned that the info he received would lead to the death of Special 7 and I don't know how that fits tbh. If I had to guess I'd say maybe it has more to do with Seiji and whatever's going on with him cause the Boss all but confirmed to Ichinose that he knows what's up with Seiji. Both he and Nijou's informant made allusions to Seiji and Nijou needing to choose a path whether that's good or evil, making me feel like they're connected more than they know.

Stand My Heroes: Piece Of Truth Episode 7

I watched this episode after watching Babylon so I think that's the reason why I was so anxious for Rei not only meeting Kujo at the house despite having Aoyama by her side but also for when she had to stay in the house alone the next day. I mean seriously brain this show isn't the type to hurt or kill Rei so why was I so worried?? I have a feeling that next week when everything is revealed that everything we know will be turned on it's head. Until the very last scene of this episode I thought Kujo was exactly who we thought he was. Cold, calculating, possibly evil. His men are so oddly protective of him that it felt closer to a mafia than a pharmaceutical company. I kept waiting for Rei to be like dudes I don't care what kind of person Kujo is or why you want me to think well of him cause straight up I'm just here for my job where I was told by a higher up to scout Kujo which is almost exactly what Aoyama said at the top of the episode and I loved him even more for it. Like of course Rei and Aoyama and the narcotics division have an ulterior motive but it's like we know that but they don't so use that! Having said that I feel like whatever info Miyase is about to share will probably show us that Kujo is actually on the same side as Rei and company but I don't know if I'll love that cause then the show is getting rid of our only villain for some faceless random new target unless the higher ups at STAND end up being the bad guys.

Batwoman Season 1 Episode 7

I enjoyed this week's episode of Batwoman a lot more than I expected since the promos for last week were so Sophie heavy and straight up at this point I'm wondering if anyone watching this show likes Sophie. Like on one level I totally feel for her and I understand her fear to be outed and how growing up in the home that she did internalized her homophobia but the reasons I dislike her are so much more than just the fact that she's hiding who she is from the world. She's spent the last 6 episodes hovering around Kate even though she's the one who's married and like it makes me feel so bad for poor Tyler who had no idea about this huge part of Sophie's life and for Kate who's hopes clearly keep rising every time Sophie does something. I hate that she's so gung-ho about telling Jacob about Kate being Batwoman cause dude after everything she should know how outing someone isn't right! I hate that she has this holier than thou attitude about everything and I can't believe she lied to Tyler like that at the end and his face made me wonder if he knows the truth as well. On another note, we met Julia Pennyworth this week and I love her to pieces already! Can she please stay?? I already saw so much more chemistry between Kate and Julia in two seconds than anything with Sophie and I knew almost from the moment she appeared that we'd be doing the swap costume thing like Oliver did in season 1 of Arrow when he sent Diggle out in the suit while being publicly Oliver Queen. It does make me wonder where Alfred is cause we know that Lucius is dead but is Alfred with Bruce? I'm also still waiting to hear where Jim Gordon is as well and if there's a Barbara Gordon in this world. I love that Kate and Mary are working together and dudes we were so close to Mary finding out about Batwoman! I also liked the reveal that Mouse had been pretending to be Jacob all along cause I hated the idea that he and Catherine were reconciling and it makes me all the more curious as to what Alice's plan is.

No Batwoman next week but the promo for the episode we'll be getting in two weeks looks amazing! Jacob and Alice will finally get the confrontation we've been waiting for now that Jacob knows who Alice is and I can't wait!

The Flash Season 6 Episode 6

As I expected after checking out the promo for this episode 2 weeks ago, I super enjoyed this episode of The Flash! I haven't made it much of a secret if you've been following me for a while that Barry Allen isn't exactly my favorite member of Team Flash so whenever an episode focuses on one of the supporting characters, I'm always super down. Ralph has definitely become my favorite character during these past two seasons so I was really excited to check this out especially since it was a James Bond themed one. Smart diabolic Ralph was everything and I was living for not only how good he looked in his tux but also how well he was able to blend into the surroundings. It was Barry as per usual who couldn't pretend to be anything he wasn't and ruined the operation bringing me back to my point that honestly Team Flash would probs do better without Barry anyway. Like he's always been low key selfish but seriously just cause he doesn't care about Sue the way Ralph does doesn't mean that Ralph's case is pointless. I loved the big fight scene though and how it felt like an old-timey fight scene from an old spy movie and I was living for Grant acting like drunk Barry cause whenever Grant gets to do something different, he shines. Now a show of hands, how many of us think that the random woman that we met and spent a lot of time on including during the big climatic fight might just be Sue? I also really loved the stuff with Nash and I'm really curious about what's going on with Allegra and him cause it definitely looked like Nash had something to say at the end. Does he know one of her doppelgängers? The Cecile stuff was meh though but I liked the conclusion being that she was afraid of the future but decided to jump in anyway. Also I want to give a quick shoutout to Danielle Panabaker who directed this episode cause it might just be my favorite of the season so far!

I'm not entirely sure what the promo showed us but Crisis On Infinite Earths is in three weeks so the next two will be filled up with what looks like a two-parter in which Barry once again confronts the idea of him dying. I'm honestly over this whole thing cause everyone and their mother knows that Barry freaking Allen isn't going to die permanently cause The Flash still has half a season to go. I'm still low key waiting for Wally to come back too.

Arrow Season 8 Episode 5

What a damn fun episode of Arrow this was! I feel like I say that every week but it's the truth! I love that every week we're paying homage to a previous season of Arrow and that we get to see old faces one last time. I was so excited to be in Russia this week cause it meant Anatoly and bam here he was! I couldn't entirely remember what the last time Oliver and Anatoly went through cause I do remember Anatoly joining Diaz only to turn at the last minute and then he popped up last season I think to give Felicity a gun but I suppose they must have reconciled cause Anatoly was definitely happy to see Oliver this week. I am in love with adult William and adult Mia being here cause I just love watching them interact with Oliver and I will never get over the starry eyed gaze Mia looks at Oliver with cause he's a complete badass so of course she'd be proud to be his daughter. It's so complicated cause on the one hand she's still furious about him abandoning her but on the other it's hard not to look at Oliver and see the legend that he is. It's definitely giving Kat much more to act with and I'm starting to see something in Mia that I love instead of being meh about her. The whole fight club thing was great but I loved Mia's fight in the Bratva basement too and how she low key gave Laurel the pep talk she needed despite not actually knowing what Laurel was struggling with cause she is her parents' daughter after all. It was great seeing Roy again cause I'll never not want him around but the whole thing with Diggle and Roy was mostly meh except for the outcome where Roy is going to be sticking around which is pretty awesome. As the weeks go by I'm more and more sure that the show is going to end with a new better future cause we're changing things all the time in the present.

I'm not sure what the promo for next week is showing me but it looks like another reality warping kind of episode which I'm not sure if I love cause we already did multiple different reality episodes one of which was in this season already. Having said that we're getting Quentin back so yay!!!

Riverdale Season 4 Episode 7

I loved this episode and mainly cause Betty and Jughead were finally back on screen together which is always a highlight cause of course they're my favorite characters and favorite couple! I was super excited to see the two sleuth together and it was funny cause until the end of the episode I didn't realize but Betty seemed to be just as interested in the mystery of Stonewall Prep as Jughead was. Part of this was cause it seemed like Jughead was taking the lead on the case and he was the one coming up with theories and conspiracies while Betty seemed to just be happy sleeping with Jughead but they're just both so perfect for each other cause after all this Betty is all in on this mystery too based on her murder board. I wonder if this means that Betty's main mystery this season will be the same as Jughead's too? Do we think that Charles will somehow be connected? Also I still 100% believe that Donna and Brett are lying about Chippin like Betty thought cause the whole school is full of sociopaths! I'm really not into this community Archie thing so it sucks but I tend to tune out whenever he's on screen but it was sweet that he ended up dedicating the center to his dad. It's also interesting cause it looks like Dodger is officially out of the picture so what's next for Archie taking care of the community? Will he move on to a different story? Cheryl and Toni meanwhile are still living with Jason's corpse like it's completely normal and now they're murdering people and that's still considered normal. Remember when Alice killed that dude and Betty had a meltdown for a full episode? Yeah apparently not so much anymore cause instead Cheryl and Toni are annoyed they can't dump a body which I totally expected to have not worked out. Also Hiram is Mayor now and it looks like FP wants to rejoin the Serpents which is completely hilarious cause Alice was like why can't you be both a Serpent and a Sheriff and I was like I'm pretty sure there are laws against that but maybe not in Riverdale cause FP seems to be the only cop in the city.

No Riverdale next week but the promo for the episode we'll get two weeks from now looks interesting though I'm not sure what it's showing us other than all the kids going to therapy which tbh should have happened a long time ago.

Assassin's Pride Episode 7

The episode this week had a weird tone to it cause I think we're setting up for the final stretch in which secrets come out. Kufa is a vampire but we don't know how long he's been one for and from what it sounds like maybe he was turned into one seven or eight years ago when that attack on Rosetti's hometown happened which is why he might have slaughtered a bunch of people in the village. It also looks like Melida might be seeing his past memories or something in small flashes since she keeps hearing weird noises and seeing odd nightmares. Like I've said before the show never told us what it means to share mana and it's possible that part of that process is seeing strong memories too. It'd definitely fit in with the theme of the episode being that Melida is sad that Kufa never tells her anything and the thing is we the audience know just how much he's lying to her from who he is all the way to who she is. I also wonder if Kufa's sire is still in the town and that maybe he's the one who keeps attacking people causing them to become monsters instead of there being some sort of disease outbreak like Blossom mentioned. Also do we know if this town is existing outside of the chandelier the rest of humanity lives in cause it definitely looked different and there didn't seem to be a glass tube around the town from what I could see and if that's true then it would make sense that lycanthropes are running around. As a sidebar does Kufa drink blood? I mean we learned that he was a vampire a while back but it wasn't until he touched Melida's neck this week that I was like wait does he drink blood? Was that why he attacked that schoolgirl? If not does he have some sort of brother or something with a similar mana that did the attack on the town and the schoolgirl?

The Mandalorian Season 1 Episode 3

All I could think of this week was how hilarious it is to me that all these Star Wars fans were going on and on about how this show was going to be for the real fans and that it was going to be dark and serious and grr but instead we got Singledad!Mando and his wild adventures in babysitting a force baby. It's everything but I'm still so confused about where this season is going to go. I mean there doesn't feel like any sort of overarching plot other than maybe the remnants of the Empire wanting to hunt down baby Yoda? Like Mando pretty much destroyed any relationship he could have with his guild and the hidden Mandalorian colony is on the move but like we can't have a full season of him just battling bounty hunters. What even is a tracking fob and can you disable whatever tracking chip it's connected to? Maybe Mando will head to the New Republic like his guild leader recommended and be like yo what's left of the Empire wants this child and I need to protect it so help? I mean logistically he can't cause Leia is probs running it and the second baby Yoda shows up, Luke will be all over that, but obviously we can't have them appear in this show cause they're no longer in their 20s and 30s so if he does go to the New Republic we'll have to dance around them. Tbh though I really wouldn't mind if the show recast them but since this show is connected to canon, I can't imagine how they would do that with the original cast appearing in the sequel trilogy. It is interesting to note that I don't think Mando was actually born as a Mandalorian cause neither he nor his parents wore the Mandalorian helmets that we know that no true Mandalorian ever takes off which fascinates me cause then does that mean that the Mandalorians open to all races as long as you accept their teachings?

Titans Season 2 Episode 12

I have multiple thoughts about this episode of Titans, the first of which has to do with whether or not anything the Titans do will have real consequences. I mean Dick escaped from prison and half of Nevada is searching for him, Hank gave the suit to some rando who robbed a laundromat and now poor baby Gar is literally out there murdering people on Cadmus's control and I'm sitting here like so are they just going to be fugitives from now on? How will the public trust the Titans again after all this? Are we just going to wipe the slate clean and be like everyone forgets everything? Last season the Titans were being hunted by the FBI and this season it's like no one cares. On another note Slade is totally messed up! At first we thought that it was revenge and that he decided to do it once he saw the Titans back together at the top of the season but now we find out that he had been planning this for 3 years and he's trying to be all righteous about it like the Titans are psychopaths that killed my son when in actuality he knows the truth but is manipulating everyone anyway. I don't really understand how Dick can get Jericho out of Slade but however he does it I hope he returns to his original body cause I really like that actor. I also liked that Rose came out with the truth rather than have Slade show up at their door and out her or something and like I totally understand Jason's anger with her but I still don't understand his motives for leaving the Titans and I'm low key pissed that he didn't want to go back to the Titans after he left and that Bruce didn't go to him either. I don't think Rose is going to rejoin Slade after all this tbh but she'll probs pretend for a bit until she can help the Titans. Hank's whole story was so heartbreaking cause it sucks that he backslid almost immediately into drugs as soon as he left Dawn but I'm hoping that he'll pick himself back up after realizing how hard he hit rock bottom. Also I need the Titans to save Gar like yesterday cause the poor baby!!!

The finale for this season is next week (which feels like it came out of nowhere tbh) and it looks like based on the still image and synopsis for next week that it'll be the Titans last confrontation with Slade. I'm assuming that they'll save Gar first and Rachel will probs clean him of his mind control before Slade attacks and they save Jericho.

xoxo Allie
