Fruits Basket Season 2 Episode 3
You know what's funny? I went into this episode ready to be annoyed by the whole thing cause by now you know that Kyo's my boy so when it's a Kyo-light episode, I get a little sad but on top of that the plot of this episode was one that we had actually seen a little of in the 2001 version of this show and I remember feeling like it was filler. But true to Fruits Basket form, what started out feeling like a kinda meh episode showcased how much deeper everything was behind the placid smiles. With finally having met Kyo's father last week, we finally saw a glimpse of Yuki's mom this time around and a mention of his parents in general and it looks like they as well weren't great parents. By my count now, it's only actually Kisa that has a parent who loves her cause all the others seem to despise their zodiac kids. We knew last season that Yuki had basically grown up with Akito in a fairly abusive situation but it seems now that his parents actually sold him to Akito in order to do well themselves in what I'm assuming means that they got paid for sending Yuki to Akito and it just leaves me wondering once again why in the world Akito is so obsessed with Yuki. Poor Ayame feels horrible about how he didn't help Yuki back then but honestly he was just a kid too and he should know that Yuki probably doesn't blame him for not helping cause it's like what could Aya really have done for him? I'm also curious with the fact that Aya has basically told his assistant everything about his relationship with Yuki and he mentioned to Yuki that she's what helped him get through it all which makes me wonder if she's the Tohru to his Yuki or if she's someone he's romantically in love with.
The Flash Season 6 Episode 16
This season of The Flash is all mixed up because of everything that's going on with the world and the coronavirus so instead of the normal 22 episodes, we'll only be getting 19 which high key sucks cause I feel like this season had just been ramping up before all this went down and of all the seasons of the Flash, this was one of the ones with the most going on and needed the full episode count. Part of the problem is that I don't even know who's the villain cause Joseph Carver feels like he's the Ricardo Diaz of the season in that he was set up late in the game and feels as though he won't really be the Big Bad until next season. This week we even sent Joe into witsec and that's not something that should be fixed in six episodes. I mean Mirror Iris said it herself. Joseph Carver has every politician, police officer, and assassin on his payroll so it'll be harder than Barry just slapping some meta-cuffs on him to win the day. I'm also really confused about Eva and what her big plan is in all this. I thought at first she might be on Joseph's side and was working to help him even though he didn't know that she was still alive but by the end of the episode, it's clear that he put her into the mirror in order to keep her out of his way and to use her tech to be evil. The thing is I'm totally all for her getting her revenge on him but if that's all there is to it, why can't she work with the Flash? On the one hand she had Mirror Singh try to keep Joe safe by continuously trying to get him off of the Carver case and into witsec but then on the other she's got Mirror Iris trying to sap Barry of his remaining speed so that he can't get her and Iris out of the mirrorverse. Speaking of, I'm getting real tired of the Mirror Iris storyline and it's seriously getting embarrassing now that Barry can't tell that the woman he's with isn't his real wife.
It does look like the promo for next week is showing us that Barry finally figures out that Mirror Iris isn't the real Iris and I'll be curious to know how that happens cause Eva didn't want to help but maybe now she thinks that with Barry's speed gone that showing him that the real Iris is in the mirrorverse won't actually do anything? If that's true, she's really underestimating the genius of our Star Labs crew. Between Nash, Caitlin and Cisco, where there's a will there's a way.
Legends Of Tomorrow Season 5 Episode 9
We're back for what I'm hoping is the full and final stretch of this season without any more hiatuses since Legends had already finished production on this season before it even started airing so it shouldn't be having coronavirus issues and all I can say is that thank everything that this week's episode wasn't the cliffhanger we left on back in March cause I would have died. I was sobbing this week when poor poor Behrad was killed by one of the Fates. It was absolutely heartbreaking that he died while protecting Zari and I can't believe that I'm this upset over a character we literally just met this season but I can't help but feel like he's been around forever and not just cause we've known about Behrad since Zari first showed up whether he was on screen or not. Behrad just fit in with the Legends and I've been loving his dynamic with Zari so I'm really really hoping that when the Legends get the Loom up and running that they'll be able to bring Behrad back to life. I was also low key hoping that we would have gotten the old Zari back at some point this season but after this week between the memories and the Air Totem trip, it looks like we won't be doing much more than slightly merging this Zari with the old one after feeling the loss of her brother. Part of me is upset cause now there's still really no chance that Zari and Nate will get back together cause I'm sure romance is extremely low on Zari's priority list now but also this Zari hasn't exactly been interested in Nate like the old one which was funny at first but now is sad cause I loved the two. We also saw that the woman Astra was with in Hell was actually the third Fate like I guessed and more interestingly Sara doesn't die like more mortals after seeing the true form of a Fate which is probs because of the Lazarus Pit and if that's true, I love that callback! Also Mick and Ava did some weird daughter shenanigans and I was sitting here like of course she just wants you to be sincere with her!
The promo for next week was actually more of a mash-up of previous episodes tossed in with a few upcoming moments so I don't have much to say on that. I do wonder if we'll end up chasing some Encores rather than the final piece of the Loom given that we still have 6 episodes left and finding a Loom piece only takes one episode and we need at least one to build the Loom.
Tower Of God Episode 4
I'm literally the most confused by what's happening this week! As it turns out Anaak is another Princess Of Jahad which I sort of guessed when I figured out that she had the same type of Legendary Weapon Bam did and how we were told in episode 1 that only Princesses of Jahad receive those swords and can use them but I do really wish I knew what being a Princess meant. Why would the Princesses even bother trying to climb the Tower if they've already been knighted by King Jahad of the Tower? Are they all just women that he liked and was like okay you're a Princess now? They can't all be his daughters cause Anaak looks nothing like Yuri. On that note if Yuri was the one to have the Black March and give it to Bam, why is Anaak all up in arms about stealing it back? Are these Legendary Weapons really illegal in this tower like Khun hinted cause if so why haven't the test admins taken the weapons from Anaak and Bam yet? I also wonder how this crown game will end cause we know that neither of our main teams can actually win this game cause then they can automatically climb the Tower and like that would ruin the rest of this show but at the same time if Bam doesn't win then he has to give up Black March and I can't see that happening either. Maybe Rachel's team will end up cheating somehow and the test admins will be like you know what forget what I said about automatically moving to the top of the Tower. Speaking of Rachel, what in the hell is up with her? I don't want to hate her like it seems everyone else who watches this show does but I'm starting to dislike her more and more with how she's treating Bam. She even agreed to let her teammate murder everyone this week and it's like do you really not give a single shit about Bam anymore? Khun is still best boy for me and what a little badass with his magical briefcase!
Harley Quinn Season 2 Episode 4
This episode was the perfect example of why this show is so absolutely incredible cause it mixes the most sitcom-y situations with the craziness of villainy and Harley so we have hilarious scenes like Harley and the crew talking about Ivy's wedding while beating up Mr Freeze's goons. I'm low key pretty sure we just saw the villain origin story of Nora Fries who probably gained some sort of ice powers from the blood transfusion Mr Freeze gave her not to mention the fact that it was basically Harley's fault that he had to die. If Harley hadn't read the situation wrong then she wouldn't have unfrozen Nora thus leading her closer to death thus needing Ivy to come up with a fast solution. Instead they could have played it out a little slower and figured out a way without killing Mr Freeze. Oops oh well. It's still hilarious that Ivy and Kiteman are getting married and I can't help but wonder if Harley will also end up with some random villain cause her comic canon relationships are always either Joker or Ivy and with neither being an option in this show and the focus on this episode being love and Harley's discovery that she could find love one day, I can't see her ending up alone in the end. Maybe Deadshot?
