Fruits Basket Season 2 Episode 23
It's Cinderella-ish aka the rewritten Cinderella play was just as amazing as I hoped it would be and gave us the excuse to see Hiro, Kisa and Kazuma come to watch the play alongside Momiji and Haru. This episode was honestly one of the funniest we've had all season but it was also an episode to take a look at all our main couples who are at different stages. Uo really misses Kureno and it breaks my heart watching her but Tohru and Momiji are plotting to give Kureno a DVD copy of the play so that he can see and it's hilarious cause I know the two mean well but dude I would be so embarrassed if the guy I liked saw me yearn for him like that! Hiro spent a large chunk of the episode being low key jealous that everyone thought Kisa was so cute and that Haru kept hugging her and in the end blew up on Haru about why he was so nice to everyone and that he broke Rin's heart which made everyone think that Haru likes Rin when it's like so beyond clear to anyone with eyes that he loves Kisa and sees Rin like a big sister! It's definitely going to lead to some delicious angst in the future! Hana flirted with Kazuma to Kyo's complete and utter mortification which is hilarious cause I really thought that this thing was meant for comedy but maybe the two will end up together? Beside everyone low key teasing Kyo and Tohru on stage (which was everything), Kyo talked about who would care if he locked himself in a castle forever and Tohru freaked out on stage which was the absolute cutest and I was living for it but in the end it feels like both are sealing up their emotions: Kyo cause he doesn't think that he can live happily under the Sohma curse but Tohru's reason is less obvious. I think she must just be afraid of looking at her emotions cause she'll fall apart. Even Yuki and Machi had a moment where Machi once again mentioned that Yuki isn't a prince and that he seems lonely which is really what I think that will get Yuki to fall for her. Machi is the one person who can see past his walls the same way that Kyo can read Tohru when no one else can.
