What Shows Am I Watching This Week?

Hello everyone and welcome back! Let's dive right in shall we?

Fruits Basket Season 2 Episode 24

Ahh we're at the penultimate episode of this season and I'm already heartbroken cause I don't want this show to go on break for a year before the final season!!!! So much happened this week and I feel like we jumped around from story to story and yet it all kinda fit together. We started out looking at Machi more closely and how she feels like she's nothing but an empty shell. All her life her mother didn't allow her to live as a child and only wanted her to focus on being better than Kakeru and yet when she did that, she was told that she's boring and emotionless and man oh man if I could slap every single adult in this show I would! I wonder if her parents had a son in the the years since the whole thing and if that's why she was "abandoned" as she says. It also really highlights how she comes out of her shell around Yuki cause she showed more emotion in that one conversation than she has all season! We followed the Machi stuff with the reveal that it's already New Years! All of the zodiacs headed off to the annual banquet while Kyo and Tohru went to Kazuma's house and found that Rin decided to skip the banquet too which probably doesn't mean much cause unlike Yuki, Akito doesn't like Rin so he was probs like the further Rin is the better. I loved the story of why Kyo and Rin fought as kids and how Tohru found it adorable and I loved that she ran to hug Rin when she saw her even though Rin acted all tsundere about it and was like I don't wanna see you! Speaking of, Kyo and Tohru flirting about her new scarf was everything and I hardcore had to rewind just to see it again. The major meat of the episode though was Yuki's talk with Akito and how he told Akito that he's done blaming others for his mistakes and he's ready to move forward which seriously freaked Akito out enough to attack him with a bottle. Yuki really deserves all the praise cause though he's not my favorite Sohma, it's very clear to see that he's become one of the most mature of the bunch.

Next week is the finale and I have a feeling we'll be focusing on Kureno cause it was his voice in the end card and he's the only Sohma left who's backstory we haven't really seen yet.

xoxo Allie
