What Shows Am I Watching this Week?

Hello everyone and welcome back! Let's dive right in shall we?

The 100 Season 6 Episode 5

I actually really enjoyed this week's episode of the 100 though most of me was screaming at our crew to stop spilling secrets! It was understandable that it took everyone a bit to realize that Clarke wasn't exactly Clarke but I could let that slide cause the people who would know Clarke best were either sleep deprived like Abby or happy to just get what she wanted like Madi. I kind of loved that it was Bellamy in the end who was able to see Josephine though really guys every time Clarke stared at them with wide eyes when they were talking like Grounders was a little too obvious and should have thrown up red flags. I don't entirely love the idea that Josephine is like pretty much able to understand their language already cause no matter how smart she is, it takes more than half a day to pick up a new language! I also kind of like the idea that Josephine is much darker than her parents cause without her there didn't seem to be much threat against our crew since no one really fought or had weapons. I hate that Madi has been exposed and that it was revealed that Abby knows how to make Nightbloods but at the same time I'm glad for it cause it does raise the stakes. I wonder if Madi could even be a Prime host with the Flame already in her but I suppose that all the Primes have to do is take the Flame out and put the new chip in. I was validated in my belief that they were putting in something similar to the Flame to bring back the Primes in new bodies and I was honestly a bit surprised at how our crew balked at it. Like Murphy said, the Grounders weren't much better with a child fighting ring to pick their own leader. I'm also curious that if with the revelation that Abby can make Nightbloods we can avoid bloodshed. Clearly the people of Sanctum are all for this reincarnation stuff so like why not learn the technology to make Nightbloods from Abby and then let our people go and not force them to become Prime hosts?

The promo for next week doesn't show much but I'm hoping we get to learn more about the Children of Gabriel and why they're so against what's happening in Sanctum. I also don't believe that Murphy would actually join up with Josephine but I could see him playing double agent. Also what happened to Bellamy? Is he going to be locked up cause he figured out the truth? Is he the next target for Abby to make into a Nightblood?

Agents Of SHIELD Season 6 Episode 4

This season of SHIELD is the funniest it's ever been and it's probs somewhere in the realm of the show runners were so shocked with the season 6 renewal that they were like dude let's just have some fun. And did we ever have fun. Of course Deke would have started his own tech company and of course he used it to peddle SHIELD tech. It does suck on some level that the combined intelligent of Fitz and Simmons created this but like I can never be too mad cause of how funny the whole thing is. I do wonder what Deke was thinking with the whole stealing tech thing cause you know SHIELD totally has a trademark on it. I did like the idea that part of him was trying to use the company to fix problems from the future but overall it seemed like less of a goal and more of a side effect of making money and having fun. Also how much does it suck that Deke doesn't even know about Fitz dying or that Jemma went to find him in space?? It did lead to a funny moment when Sarge was asked about Deke's grandparents and he said something about them being old. I was also living for how exasperated Mack was with the whole thing. We also learned a bit more about Sarge's crew but not enough to make any more sense. They do seem to be doing the same thing the Chronicons did last week with hunting down people who aren't supposed to be here though what the alien bird parasite has to do with it I don't entirely know. RIP to Keller who literally lasted four episodes and no one cared about. I hope that super cute agent that was babysitting Deke takes his place.

Ooh wow so the promo really just let a big reveal out! Apparently Sarge and co are actually trying to stop those alien bird parasites rather than using them which I guess makes them not so bad after all. Maybe they'll end up working with SHIELD though again what that has to do with Deke I don't know unless they think he's infected? It also looks like we'll be back in space again and hopefully we can save Fitz and get back to Earth cause I'm already over the scientist dude they got to replace Jemma and Fitz.

Fruits Basket (2019) Season 1 Episode 9

Hatsuharu is precious as always as the zodiac bull though I feel like I don't remember him loving Yuki so overtly last time and it's interesting cause the show doesn't seem to be shying away from it being romantic love rather than platonic and if that's the case, I'm way on board! I loved that he brought out jealously from Kyo by trying to hit on Tohru even if once again Kyo didn't realize what his feelings were. I'm living for every time they give Kyo his animal features as a human just to emphasize his emotions and his crazy intense aura about winning against Yuki was everything. I honestly just adore him so much. I do have to say my favorite moment this episode though was when Tohru called Yuki by his first name and it embarrassed him so much that he turned into his rat form. It was everything! I was also dying for the recurring joke where Hana was pretending to have a cramp so she didn't have to run only to keep cutting back and seeing her playing cards with more and more people each time. I really liked Hatsuharu's backstory too with how he was always so angry with Yuki cause of the original tale of the zodiacs and honestly the Sohmas are just so messed up cause what adults go around telling kids that they're not smart?? I did love seeing baby Hatsuharu and baby Kyo in the flashbacks though and I loved that scene where baby Yuki was looking pensively at them and clearly wanting to join them only to be pulled back by who I assume was Akito for reasons. We did learn a few episodes back that Yuki was sickly as a child and I think Akito was too in the original so I wonder if that's why Akito is so attached to Yuki.

Next week is the Valentine's episode and I don't think I remember what happened other than Kagura comes back so blech.

xoxo Allie
