What Shows Am I Watching This Week?

Hello everyone and welcome back! Let's dive right in shall we?

The 100 Season 6 Episode 6

This episode was hard to get through in the sense that it really made you question what's right and wrong. Everyone slowly found out that Clarke was killed for Josephine to come back and they all go through different stages of grief. Everyone's first thoughts were of revenge and honestly I was really excited for that too cause I was furious with what the Primes did but eventually everyone gets to the place where they decide that they keep talking about wanting to do better but the fact that they jump to violence doesn't make them so. It feels right morally but kinda boring tv wise and like at this point, everyone's done bad so what's one more bad deed? I would be the worst in these kinds of shows cause I'm always like revenge/murder! It was also kind of silly that everyone was just like well Clarke was murdered oh well. Bellamy at least looked torn up about it but at least Maddie is still on her warpath cause of the evil Commander in the Flame. I suppose the whole argument is a bit null and void now that we know that Clarke's mind is still alive in her body but just hibernating. I never truly thought she was gone cause duh she's the main character but I wasn't sure how they'd bring her back and now at least we've got a hint. I wonder if it's possible to take out the Primes' version of the Flame and then would Clarke's mind come back? I also hope that Abby figures out what's going on before she actually makes Nightbloods for the Primes cause she needs to know the Primes killed her daughter before anything else. I'm also not sure what's going on with Octavia and Dioza and tbh I'm just not thrilled that they're separate from the group. I thought for a minute that maybe the temporal anomaly might be a way to bring back Clarke but who knows.

The promo for next week seems to show that we'll be following Clarke fighting Josephine in her mind and though I doubt that Clarke would lose in a real fight, I don't think that she would win so early in the season. I had hoped last week that Murphy was playing Josephine somehow and I still kind of want that to be true but after this week and everyone finding out, I'm not sure anymore.

Krypton Season 2 Episode 1

We're back bitches! This show is one of those hilarious ones where before I start it I'm always like meh do I even want to check it out and then I start it and I'm like I don't want it to end! I will literally never not be astounded with the makeup and design of this show cause it's not only better than literally anything the CW can do on their superhero shows but sometimes it's even better than the movies and I imagine it's cause SyFy is home to the best monster makeup artists. Brainiac's design was one of the coolest I'd ever seen and miles better than the Brainiac 5 makeup over on Supergirl but now we've bet Lobo and damn if he doesn't look like a complete badass and I can't wait to see what this show does with him. It was fun to meet up with everyone again and straight up Adam Strange is still my favorite cause he's just a hot mess all the time and that's everything to me. Dru Zodd is now ruling Krypton with an iron fist and oddly enough Lyta is working with him which I don't entirely mind cause it fits with her arc last season and low key I ship Seg with Nyssa anyway. I'm sure that once Seg is back, he'll be able to get Lyta to switch sides thus leading to that vision he saw of Dru Zodd murdering her coming true (you know except the dead part) but for now it's wonderful. I wanted to punch her so badly when they were threatening Nyssa with her baby's life! It is a little odd that Nyssa and Seg's baby is running around Krypton now since babies and kids in tv shows are a little annoying as in they're nothing but collateral but it definitely does up the stakes for our crew so I guess I'm down. It was a bit anticlimactic that Seg killed Brainiac so quickly after he was hyped up so much last season but I suppose he's nothing on a planet without tech. I have to admit I totally thought when Adam appeared that it was Brainiac playing a trick or something but so far it seems real so I guess we really did defeat Brainiac so this season must be about taking down Zodd.

Ahhh spoke too soon! The promo is telling us that Brainiac somehow got inside Seg during their battle and that's just a bomb waiting to explode later! It also looks like Seg and Adam are going to get back to Krypton next week and tbh that's faster than I expected but I kind of hope they bring Lobo along cause I mean the more the merrier no?

Agents Of SHIELD Season 6 Episode 5

We're finally getting answers though they might not be the answers our team wants! This episode was the most balanced in terms of Earth and space that it has been all season and we were so close to converging both storylines but I do like where we ended up. As it turns out, all of my questions about the Chronicoms and what they want in terms of the timeline were for nothing. While I was casually trying to jump through hoops to figure out how Fitz and the time paradox would work, we found out that the Chronicoms are actually more interested in saving their own lives. They're a little more bloodthirsty than I expected tbh cause like what was up with them wanting to murder everyone who couldn't help? Enoch turning on Jemma was a bit unexpected as well but like Fitz cursing him out was out of nowhere too cause it felt a bit like The Doctor more than Fitz. I'm also curious if this mysterious plague that wiped out their home world is the same as the one attacking Earth right now cause it would definitely tie the two storylines together and tbh with Fitz and Simmons out in space, I'm not sure that SHIELD can solve the weird bat/bird crisis on their own. Speaking of, I love that our team is so badass that they not only captured two of Sarge's crew last week but May captured the remaining two this week and now that they're all out of commission, we can be back in control. It seems as though if all the parasites are controlled by the creator, we just need to take whoever that is out and then we'll be fine. I thought that we might end up all on the same team after the reveal last week but it sounds like Sarge wants to burn Earth down to stop these parasites and that definitely won't fly.

The promo for next week seems to be focused on Jemma and Fitz and whatever torture the Chronicoms are putting them through which again seems a little much cause if they're going to be working on time travel, the speed at which Fitzsimmons figure it out doesn't entirely matter! I am excited for the two to see each other again and I kind of hope that Jemma tells Fitz everything he missed from their wedding to Deke's existence. I also hope that if we do spend time on Earth that Daisy finds out about Sarge and Deke about his grandparents!

Fruits Basket (2019) Season 1 Episode 10 and 11

So since I wasn't able to talk about episode 10 last week, I decided to throw it together with episode 11 this week. We saw glimpses of Kyo walking up from a nightmare which we later saw had to do with him reaching for someone and then blood exploding making me wonder if this was related to his true form? Perhaps it was his mother or someone he accidentally killed in his true form? It's interesting that so far we've been so focused on Yuki's traumas that we seem to be putting Kyo's on the back-burner for a bit even though I know he's got some deep rooted stuff. It led to one of my favorite scenes possibly so far in this anime which was when Tohru talked to Kyo about how it was okay for him to hate Yuki even though she personally wanted them to get along cause Tohru could see that hating Yuki might be a defensive mechanism for Kyo and it wouldn't be fair to rip it away from him. It's the thing I love about Tohru cause she's so perceptive of other people's emotions. It's why episode 11 hit me so hard when Kyo agreed to go to the hot springs with the others cause just one episode ago Tohru told Kyo that it was okay for him to stay away from Yuki and here he is putting her wants above his and deciding that spending time with Tohru was more important than staying away from Yuki. Also sidebar but Kyo's blushes are killing me! Shigure is so interesting cause I remember him being nothing more than the comedic one in the 2001 version but this version seems to have sort of nefarious plan in mind that is somehow related to Akito and this strange dream he talked about having as a child. I don't want to put down any predictions cause like I said before I was accidentally spoiled as to what's going on with this so let's just move on. Yuki and Tohru had a moment as well at the hot springs and it was seriously so romantic that I wasn't a fan cause Team Kyo duh. I also liked that Momiji told the tale of the idiotic traveler cause it really did describe Tohru perfectly and I still find it hilarious that he's only a year younger than our trio.

Next week should be the episode where Momiji and Hatsuharu start at the same school as our trio which means that it should be a funny one although Akito might show up to scare Tohru a little if I remember correctly.

xoxo Allie
