The 100 Season 6 Episode 8
You know I really shouldn't be surprised that everything we feared would happen actually happened cause after 6 seasons you would think that I would have learned by now that the one thing The 100 does is not steer away from making horrible choices. Madi killing Primes? Done. Raven helping make Nightblood? Done. Abby bringing back Kane? Done. The Primes learning how to make Nightblood? Done. Russell going on a rampage after Josephine was kidnapped? Done. Abby and Raven are the only ones who have no idea that Clarke was killed for the Primes and their ego trip cause the second Abby knew, she would not have helped so course they left before Bellamy and the others found out thus allowing the plot to move forward. But dude seriously Kane is going to be majorly pissed off at Abby and I don't understand what part of her even questioned what his feelings would be cause it's clear to me he's going to hate having to kill someone to be reborn. Part of me wonders if this whole thing was done cause Henry Ian Cusik didn't want to come back for another season of this show and that sucks cause I loved him even if Kane went off the rails last season. I'm also pissed that The Primes are getting what they wanted in the end after all they did but I'm also glad that Bellamy was able to go off with Josephine and that Murphy has switched back to our side. I was hoping for a bit of a better plan tbh but I suppose the time constraint proved a bit hard. I also want to be interested in whatever Gabriel and Octavia and Dioza are doing but I keep feeling like it's got nothing to do with everything else that's happening. I do think that once the two stories recombine it'll get more interesting and now that Bellamy is out looking for Gabriel I'm sure it will. I'm curious what the anomaly did cause it fixed Octavia's hair and everything but like wouldn't it be fun if it regressed her mentally to before Blood Reina?
The promo seems to focus heavily on Octavia and it doesn't look like she lost any memories but I have a feeling whatever the anomaly did is going to be the last stretch of her redemption arc and hopefully we can stop with the constant shitting on her (and Clarke) the characters keep doing. I also wonder if Bellamy will like finally admit that he's in love with Clarke cause I still can't see Bellamy and Clarke as just friends cause the way they act around each other is too close to romantic love.
Krypton Season 2 Episode 3
This episode felt heavily like a set-up one so that we could ready ourselves for the future and so that we could move our pieces into the right places. Seg finally got Brainiac out of him and surprisingly the plan worked out pretty much perfectly but I really wasn't bothered by it cause though Brainiac is the smartest being out there, he doesn't truly understand emotion and how tough we have to be to deal with them especially since Seg is the type of person who would put the wellbeing of the world at large above himself. This is why I'm most interested to see what Seg will think of everyone back on Krypton. Lyta the woman he loves is the right hand of a tyrant, his best friend is working with them (oddly enough) and Nyssa the woman he had a child with is betraying the rebel alliance which includes his grandfather aka the only living relative Seg has (aside from the Cor Vex and Dru Zod) left. I do feel like Seg if push came to shove would understand why Nyssa did what she did and I'm sure he'll forgive Lyta cause he loves her but the whole time I kept hoping that something in this episode would make Nyssa tell the truth especially when Val was basically telling her what a good person she was and how much he trusted her. I'm not sure what surprising thing she saw on her trainer's wrist device but let's be honest with this show, she's probs a child of one of the main characters who came back in time. Adam and Seg are still the best and I was living for the final scene in this episode where they were bickering about how Seg died and now Adam will never hear the end of it. We also got some more with Jayna and Dev but like I still don't know what's going on with them.
It looks like Seg will be attempting to reason with Dru first rather than finding the rebels but I'm really not surprised cause it is Seg's character to want to talk before fight and he's not had the time the rebels have had to see Dru take over Krypton. I'm still really curious about Krypton as a whole cause there are more cities on the planet right? So what do they think of what Dru is doing? Has he taken them over as well? Can we turn to them for help? Maybe Seg being up on Candor will be a good thing and he can kidnap his baby back for Nyssa!
Agents Of SHIELD Season 6 Episode 7
We said goodbye to Enoch it seems this week and though I loved his humor and the awkward buddy cop thing he was doing with Fitz, honestly I'm mostly glad of this cause like with many comedic characters, he was better in small doses. I expected Fitzsimmons to end up back on Earth after last week but I kind of like that they ended up back on Kitson with a new character instead. So far she seems like a good person but I'm a little afraid to like her cause we never really seem to get anything but new villains introduced especially since we still need a villain for this season with Sarge and co turning out to not be the bad guys. Now that I think about it, the chances are pretty damn high that she is the creator of the bat alien creatures Sarge keeps talking about. It's a little funny tbh how OP Daisy seriously is cause like it took her two seconds to take out Jaco who was Sarge's heavy and I'm so glad that Agent Khan is still okay cause I loved him from Deke's episode and we need more background SHIELD agents with personalities. I mean look at Piper and Davis who were extras for forever and now they're hilarious. I'm also seriously over Sarge as a character and I kind of wish the show hadn't brought Clark Gregg back for this cause it just makes me miss Coulson more. I still don't entirely understand why Sarge is so confrontational cause from what I've gathered, he wants to get rid of the bat creatures so like why not work with SHIELD instead of continuously antagonizing them. I also really hope that we don't get any SHIELD politics with the people wanting Sarge as leader all of a sudden instead of Mack cause no matter how much Sarge knows about these creatures, he's not Coulson and doesn't deserve to be Director.
Hmm the promo for next week seems to indicate that the redhead traveling with Fitzsimmons is actually after the Monoliths and this makes me even more confused cause it seems to hint that she's not the creator after all but it might just be a side project so I don't want to toss that theory out yet. I wonder what alien species she's supposed to be... We also got Daisy and May on a mission with Sarge and co and all I could think as we saw all those people become crystals is that too bad we don't have Donnie anymore cause if cold destroys these creatures, an inhuman with ice powers would be super helpful right about now!
Fruits Basket (2019) Season 1 Episode 13
This was the Ayame episode for sure and it was funny to see just how similar it was to the 2001 version which it's heavy focus on comedy though as usual the comedy was just hiding a darker tone. I have to admit the one scene that stuck with me was the one where young Yuki grabbed Ayame in what I assume was a fit of desperation only for Ayame to knock him aside as if he were nothing more than a pest. We learned last week that Akito abused Yuki as a child and it broke my heart to see that he tried to ask for help only to be ignored and honestly can anyone begrudge Yuki for not wanting to forgive Ayame now? It's so sad cause it's not entirely Ayame's fault either cause he was young as well at the time and like he told Tohru, it isn't until you're older than you realize just how much you failed when you were younger. I do wonder why he decides to take the humorous route with Yuki rather than taking him aside and talking to him like an adult. He needs to apologize and then tell Yuki everything he told Tohru at the restaurant. THAT would be how to reach out halfway. Of course the comedy was great too this week with Ayame constantly trying to hide under Tohru's clothes cause he was cold and I literally had to rewind and rewatch the scene where Yuki told Shigure to skin and cook Ayame more than once cause I was laughing so hard. I wonder if since there are going to be two seasons of this show if maybe the first season is putting such a heavy emphasis on Yuki and his traumas that they'll save Kyo for season 2.
I'm not entirely sure what next week's episode will be about but maybe it's the one where Tohru and Yuki visit Ayame's sexy cosplay shop?
