Okay so I freaking loved this episode. I was super hesitant after last week and how much SHIELD broke my heart with the whole Fitz thing but I was so into all the flashbacks and HYDRA tie ins. It's been so long since we touched on these names that I had to hardcore google half of them to refresh my memory and it was amazing! Like I've said before, I know a lot of people are pissed that HYDRA is back but for me, there's no SHIELD without HYDRA. It's like Batman without the Joker or Superman without Lex.
Okay like I alluded to, I loved that this episode was mostly flashbacks. Some of SHIELD's best episodes are ones that are kind of bottle episodes like the Jemma on Maveth or Fitz and Hunter on Earth. It was so much fun to hear popular HYDRA names that appeared throughout this show and even in the movies and of freaking course there was a HYDRA Academy! Like it's so obvious that I'm surprised we've never thought about it before because after all there is a SHIELD Academy and the crazy loyalty HYDRA agents had to have popped out of somewhere. I even loved the callback to Ward having to shoot his dog as a way of removing weakness.
This episode definitely humanized Hale cause straight up when Whitehall basically told young Hale that the only thing she was good for was to have babies, I vomited in my mouth a little and wanted her to stab him right then and there. And I mean this is the guy who experimented on Daisy's mom for decades so I knew how despicable he was but something in the way he told Hale that she had to be a breeding machine just really pushed the line. I also liked that we learned that though she is HYDRA and everything now, she's really ultimately not and in a way just wants to save the world from aliens. I do wonder how much of her still believes in HYDRA's ways cause honestly I would think she would have been disillusioned with the whole thing after graduation but who really knows. She doesn't exactly seem to be a take over the world type but I could see Ruby as one.
Speaking of Ruby, I'm glad we finally got some answers on her front. I was wondering if she was maybe an LMD or an inhuman or something based on how strange she acted but it looks like nothing more than good old fashioned HYDRA training. She did seem to have more emotions in the flashbacks though so I'm wondering how much really changed in those two years and how she went from not wanting to kill her dog to chopping off people's arms just because.
I also kind of loved how she was in charge of freaking people out every time they came down to this bunker which I think is the HYDRA Academy and how Coulson was the only one to be like cute I know what tactic this is and you're not going to bother me. I loved that he was all on board for teaming up with Hale for the greater good until he realized exactly how the world was destroyed in the future. It does make me wonder if maybe Daisy is the Destroyer because of the chamber and not her Quake powers. I would kind of love that to be honest cause it would stop Daisy from fearing her powers.
One person I felt really really bad for was poor Talbot. I knew from the moment Hale appeared and said that she was Talbot's replacement and that Talbot wasn't okay anymore that she had him locked up somewhere and I was right. I wonder how much of Talbot going crazy at the beginning of the flashbacks were due to his brain injury and how much was due to some sort of drug that Hale was injecting him with. The reason I ask that is that if I was villain, that would be the perfect way to separate him from his family and friends and have him locked up without anyone looking. He did seem to mutter to himself a lot though kind of like Fitz did in season 2 so I feel as though maybe he did suffer some. What really broke my heart was how adamant he was in believing in Daisy and Phil and SHIELD. It made my heart melt a little that he didn't fall for Hale's tricks or anything and tried to hold out as long as he could. I hope he'll be okay in the future.
We didn't get too much on the Lighthouse base with our crew this week but what we did get in terms of the Fitz aftermath helped me feel better about what happened with Fitz last week. I was afraid the team wouldn't really understand what Fitz was going through and maybe blame him or hate him and see him as another Ward but I guess I forgot how much of a family SHIELD is and how most of them were in the Framework right alongside Fitz so they know pretty much what he's going through. I knew Daisy would still be angry but I figured May would understand cause she knows how sometimes you need to do what you need to do. I also knew Fitz and Simmons were going to be fine ultimately but I was worried that Mack would hold it against Fitz cause he was the reason that the robot shot Mack and put YoYo in danger so I was surprised to not only see Mack forgive him but to see him try to convince Jemma that Fitz wasn't all bad. It made me tear up. I love my SHIELD family.
Also sidebar, I can't wait to see YoYo's new arms in action.
But I have to say, the absolute best part of this episode was the ending where Jemma told Fitz about Deke being their grandson. I laughed out loud when Fitz was like "Deke's our grandson? But he's the worst" and then Jemma was like trying to talk about how amazing it all was and Fitz could only talk about how their daughter had to have married a space moron to make Deke and I cried of laughter again. I really really hope Deke and Fitz get to interact next week cause I NEED that.
Next week looks like Coulson is going to be tortured some more which is unfortunate but hopefully he gets to tell Creel that Talbot is still alive and in this bunker. I also want to see more of Ruby's plan cause it seems now that she wants to take this team from her mom cause she wants to be the Destroyer Of Worlds instead of Daisy like her mom wants which I'm not opposed to if I'm honest.
I'll see you all next week for my Arrow review!

Arrow Season 6 Episode 16 Review
Guys what an epic episode of Arrow to come back to! I loved so much about the episode and though this seems to be a goodbye to Roy, Nyssa and Thea, here's hoping they'll be back eventually cause the one thing the Arrowverse does well is bring back old cast members every now and again!
As much as I loved Roy and Thea's going away party and the idea that they would be on the run together, I love the idea that the two of them and Nyssa are going to go around the world hunting down Lazarus Pits more. I always thought that when Roy left Arrow he was going to be a superhero on his own in whatever city he picked but when we found that didn't happen, I was a little disappointed so the idea that Speedy and Arsenal will be doing superhero stuff off screen makes me happy. If this were an animated show, we'd see a stand alone episode chronicling their adventures and oh man would I have loved to watch that episode!
My favorite version of Thea was when she was Speedy so it's always fun when she's back and in action. I also loved seeing Roy in the field again cause I miss him so much too. The saddest part of Arrow that I will forever miss is the loss of sidekicks. It's not exactly like a Batman show without the BatFamily but it's close. It's not the same having Arrow's sidekicks shooting guns even if I adore Diggle. I never understood Rene's purpose and Curtis though sometimes great is his own hero and shouldn't be Green Arrow's backup. People whined and whined about there not being a Black Canary but to me, I need a Speedy/Arsenal/Red Arrow. We haven't had a Red Arrow yet so here's hoping that we get one.
Speaking of, I feel like Diggle might become the Red Arrow. His whole storyline about wanting the Green Arrow hood back has been weird to me all season cause we all know that Oliver's not going to give it up and I can't decide how it'll go down without Diggle being pissed at Oliver and leaving the team too unless he becomes a different Arrow.
Nyssa was hilarious tonight cause I died every time she called Oliver husband and I actually spit out my drink when she called Felicity sister-wife. She was living her best life teasing them and I was living for it. I kept feeling like Nyssa might be playing Thea tonight cause something felt off about the situation especially when she ripped the map out of Thea's hands because I kind of like the idea of Nyssa recreating the League for herself (unlike most people I don't hate them) but I also like that she didn't turn on us. With Athena still out there, I have a feeling we haven't seen the last of this.
Sidebar I'm thrilled that they found more Lazarus Pits, not cause I want them to be used again, but because there are multiple in the comics so it only makes sense there's more now. It does leave me to wonder if maybe this is how Malcolm will come back. I bet you Athena and their sect want the map to find the Lazarus Pit to resurrect Malcolm. Also second sidebar, if the show was going to bring back the Lazarus Pits and wanted to keep Katie Cassidy around, why bother with Earth 2 Laurel and not with resurrecting her? I really still dislike this redeem Black Siren storyline and I'd prefer our Laurel or evil Black Siren.
Curtis and Dinah were off on their own and working on trying to figure out which cops were dirty. This was all pretty boring but they did figure out that Hill was dirty who by the by screwed up real bad by taking the Vertigo case from Dinah especially if she knows Dinah is Black Canary cause it just shot up red flags. A few Vertigo pills aren't going to cripple Diaz's cash flow. Also Curtis is dating a cop now and I expected the cop to turn out to be dirty but I guess not. Maybe now Curtis can stop blaming Oliver and Felicity for ruining his marriage. Also how petty was it that Curtis whined about not being invited to Thea and Roy's going away party when he was the one who told Felicity and Diggle that they were done with each other. Who's going to invite your ass Curtis? I also kind of need Felicity and Curtis to no longer be working on a business together cause I still want Smoak Tech and Curtis has left a sour taste in my mouth for a while.
The promo for next week looks annoying. Another Oliver/Diggle fight? Guys this has been played out especially this season with the recruits being pissed and leaving. Ugh. All this episode needs to make it the absolute worst is for Diggle to join the recruits.
I'll see you all tomorrow night for my Agents of SHIELD review!

Agents of SHIELD Season 5 Episode 13 Review
Tonight's episode of SHIELD felt like a continuation of the 100th episode in that it brought back more stuff that we haven't seen or heard about in a while. It makes me a little worried that the showrunners know something we don't about this show being cancelled cause the fact that all these little threads are being wrapped up raises red flags for me. If the show is cancelled this season I'll be really sad cause it straight up is one of my favorite shows on tv right now but at the same time it does feel like everything's wrapping up with a nice bow.
So one of those things I mentioned that was brought back was the whole Gravitonium thing and Deathlok project. I know we've been talking about Gravitonium for a while this season but tonight's episode really felt like a callback cause we talked about where the Gravitonium was last and how it got to where it was now. It was awkward cause I have no idea if my memory is bad or if the stuff they talked about happened off screen or what but I remember Ward grabbing the Gravitonium from the Fridge and that's all. I wonder if now that Hale has it if Hall who was the scientist that created it and got sucked into it in season 1 will come back. I also loved hearing all the old Hydra names like Quinn and Raina and that we talked about the Deathlok project. It's so nostalgic tbh.
Another return came in the form of Werner who again I could not remember what happened to him. Last thing I remembered was that he joined Ward and then Lincoln zapped him in the memory machine which I think is all we saw on screen. I suppose off screen he went a little crazy from that and spent the last two years in mental hospitals. Speaking of, it was also kind of nice to hear the name Hydra again cause again it's been two seasons since we got any mention of Hydra and unlike what a lot of people thought on the internet, I was never really tired of them continuously popping up cause it felt like to me the best villain for SHIELD is HYDRA.
We also got a bit about General Hale who like we all guessed was more than a simple government agent. Honestly it makes me wonder if the government is even interested in grabbing SHIELD or if Hale did all this to get them herself. Speaking of, I hope the show tells us what happened to Talbot cause last we heard he was in a coma and him being hurt is the only reason SHIELD is most wanted right now but the moment he wakes up he can tell the truth about the LMDs and I'm assuming that's how SHIELD will come back though again I feel like SHIELD shouldn't really be public like in season 4 but something off the books that the government knows about like how we were introduced to them.
Sidebar sometimes I really miss the old SHIELD. Like remember how large the world seemed in season 1 and how many agents and how much technology they seemed to have? After season 1 it seemed like SHIELD pretty much consisted of our main group and that's about all.
Anyway back to Ruby and the bunker. First of was anyone else creeped out a little with Ruby trying to seduce Werner? Like I still think of Dove Cameron as a teenager and Werner was so much older and I was like let's dial this back please. Ruby's so hard to read like I can't decide if she's good or bad or whether she's playing her mom or Werner. Is she an inhuman or a robot? Why does she not show emotions?
Mack's friend was super sketchy tonight and I kept waiting for the reveal that he was with Hale or after money or something but as of now he seems to be on the up and up. The fact that he had so much screen time leads me to believe that we'll see more of him again and I'm hoping that it'll be good but something about him gives off the vibe of don't trust me. Mack, Daisy and Coulson grabbed the last of the Gravitonium on the ship and I was worried about Mack but everyone seems to be fine. I also like how all three of them asked about the Deathlok project with the same intention of saving Coulson cause there's no way any of our SHIELD family would not want to save him.
Back in the bunker, Fitz and his grandson Deke killed me and honestly for a lot of it I agree with Fitz. Like I know Deke is all excited cause everything is new to him right now but at the same time some real bad shit is happening and just like last week Deke was constantly distracting. Scrappy Doo was the correct analogy. He's like a puppy who needs constant attention. I also died at his reaction when he realized that Jemma and Fitz were his grandparents and how completely awkward and thrown he was. I can't wait until Jemma and Fitz find out who by the way had only one cute moment tonight which is understandable cause there's no time for romance when the world is about to be destroyed. I do love how Fitz softens immediately when Jemma talks to him and how they called each other husband and wife and ugh all the feels. I adore them.
Next week looks like the return of more fun characters. The Superior is back though whether as a real person or a fear hallucination is yet to be seen. I cannot remember where we saw him last..... I feel like his brain was in a jar but I can't remember if it got destroyed or not... We're also going to see Absorbing Man with a bomb which should be fun and the return of Framework Fitz who is definitely a fear hallucination. It looks like Fitz will somehow be stuck somewhere with him so that he can finally process his baggage from the Framework and I can't wait cause Iain always kills it emotionally.
I'll see you all next week!

The Flash Season 4 Episode 16 Review
Hey guys! Sorry I was MIA last week but I was on spring break and because of that I wasn't able to watch the Flash on time which was super disappointing cause last week's episode of the Flash might have been one of my favorites from not only this season but possibly all of Flash in general! But we're not here to talk about last week's episode so let's jump into tonight's episode in which Iris gets to suit up!
So I thought this episode was going to be kinda lame and cheesy last week after watching the promo but I really loved how this episode went from a joke about switching powers to a real look at Iris's character. I have been complaining for almost two seasons about how Iris went from a well written character with actual storyline and goals and things to do to nothing more than Barry's love interest who is there to tell Barry to run faster or that she loves him. I had been annoyed that for two seasons Iris seemed to drop her whole reporting thing without even a single line given to the reason why and tonight answered all my questions. I loved that she explained it as a kind of fear of going out there after Savitar again and how the whole episode ended with her returning to reporting and her love of it. I'm still not sure why she's not back at the newspaper but maybe she'll build back up to it from her blog like in season 1.
I'm also glad that we got another bus meta this week that wasn't evil. It's ridiculous to me that out of a whole city of people, for the longest time, it was only Barry who wanted to use his powers for good. As the seasons go on there are more and more good metas but still nowhere near the amount of bad metas which production wise I can understand cause Barry needs a monster of the week to fight but it's always fun to see another hero being born. I liked that Eric didn't understand how his powers worked and that he didn't actually mean to hurt anyone and that he ended up joining the team. If they can keep his powers a secret from DeVoe for even the smallest amount of time, they could really suck the powers from DeVoe and win which now that I say it outloud probs will not happen cause that'd be too easy.
Harry built a Thinking Cap for himself like DeVoe did but without the dark matter so I guess it's some sort of tech that increases the speed at which neurons fire? I liked this idea but I still have a feeling that it's not going to end well. He did figure out who the last two metas are (through reasons?) so I guess we're ramping up. These last few episodes have been strange cause it feels like the show is trying to rush through the bus metas but at the same time dragging their feet. It's strange pacing tbh.
Also can we talk about how it made no sense for Caitlin to sit out this episode? Like I know Iris needed to go out on her own and prove to herself that she was strong too but it just seems silly not to bring a ice powered meta with you while you're fighting a fire meta. And it was weird cause when Iris was first about to go out she told Caitlin to follow her and take care of the fire while she rescued the people stuck inside only to go out by herself. I need the show to be better about why Caitlin and Cisco can't head out every time please.
Next week looks like another comedic episode with a bus meta possibly? She can fill people with helium and tbh that is such a lame power. The promo didn't show DeVoe but I'm assuming we'll see him even for a little bit cause it's been two episodes without him now.
I'll see you all Friday for my Agents of SHIELD review cause Arrow is taking off this week (and next) for reasons.

Agents of SHIELD Season 5 Episode 12 Review
Can you believe we made it to 100 episodes?? After everyone who said this show would be cancelled season after season, we're here! I was looking at the poster above and can you believe how much ground this show has covered in 5 seasons? Each season gets better and better and thinking back to our sweet summer childs in the pilot is crazy! We've loved and lost so many characters and the best parts of this episode were the emotional character beats rather than callbacks to previous seasons!
Okay let's start with the time dimension fear zone rift thing that opened up and was a pretty great way to bring back moments from previous seasons. Though I honestly would have loved for characters like Bobbi and Hunter and Robbie and Ward to come back, the small bits we got were fun. I guess it's okay cause we did see a lot of those characters come back repeatedly before but because I remember Arrow's 100th episode being full of guest stars, I guess my hopes were a bit too high in this case. I did like seeing Deathlock again and he saved the day! It was also funny to see Lash and HIVE as well as some Kree and the roaches.
Like I said the best parts of this episode were the character beats. That whole scene where the team found out that Coulson was dying actually made me cry. I wasn't too torn up when we first found out that Coulson was dying but seeing the reaction of the team to his impending death not even including the breakdown Daisy had in the hallway broke my heart. I was sobbing. Coulson is the one that binds this team together but honestly I could totally see the show killing him off this season especially if it's the last one we get. I loved that Daisy was the most heartbroken cause she is like a daughter to him but each of the characters had their own private grieving moment.
The scene with May was sad in a whole other way. May and Coulson are the epitome of what could have been. Both characters have loved each other for five seasons and even more though it wasn't always romantic love and I'm sure both thought that they would have plenty more time to explore their feelings in the future. I hope that if Coulson does die this season, they at least get a moment to express their love for one another or at least get a kiss that is real.
I hardcore didn't expect Jemma and Fitz to get married tonight but it fit so perfectly and I don't know why I didn't expect it! I loved their shotgun wedding and all the jokes about how they shouldn't wait one more day cause who knows what'll happen next. Jemma's vows were beautiful and Fitz though he didn't say much was clearly extremely emotional and overwhelmed and it was perfect the way it was. By the by Fitz's eyes were so blue and so beautiful that I couldn't look away!
Also I want to laugh at how we all called it that Deke turned out to be Fitz and Jemma's grandson and I'm dying. He was a little annoying tonight cause I know he's living his best life right now but boy needs to learn how to read a room! He was trying to flirt with Daisy while she's worried about YoYo and then joking with Coulson while Coulson is like dude I'm about to die can you go already and then interrupted Coulson and Fitz in what I assume would have been an emotional scene with his jokes. I enjoyed it all but it felt so out of place with the rest of the episode and I think maybe they should have saved all this for next week or something.
Next week looks like we'll be looking for a way to save Coulson's life which should be interesting. I hope we get some cute Jemma and Fitz moments cause they can't go on a honeymoon but that doesn't mean we shouldn't see them all cutesy for a moment. I also hope we get the reveal of Deke's family soon cause that's a bomb I want to see the fallout for!
I'll see you all Tuesday for my Flash review! Sorry I've been MIA most of this week but I was on spring break and didn't have time to watch the Arrowverse shows live!

Arrow Season 6 Episode 14 Review
I cannot with these two teams anymore. I just cannot. I'm sorry I tried to be unbiased, I tried to focus on how it's just a storyline that'll be resolved soon but I cannot anymore and I wonder after this episode if we'll even ever go back to the status quo. I want to say I enjoyed this episode but practically every single moment made me angry.
NTA keeps going on and on about how OTA broke their trust and spied on them and blah blah blah but ever since they split up, NTA is the only team I've been seeing that's made those same mistakes. I still can see both sides as to why the team split in the first place but after this episode, I'm squarely on Team Arrow's side and pretty much nothing NTA does from now on will make me want to forgive them. I can get past the constant whining from them about lack of trust but the fact that they keep blaming Oliver for Vince's death and then claim that he's so blind to the money that he'll believe anything Black Siren says is ridiculous. Dinah didn't want anything but revenge and the fact that they kept trying to say that they want to help the city too was ridiculous. I didn't see them finding the money for the city when they got Black Siren alone. It's because of them she got away and the city lost it's money. I am also furious with them for whining about bugs when they bugged Oliver themself and then hurt John on purpose with the implant which they didn't know but what if it actually hurt him permanently? I really thought Rene shot Felicity for a second and I was about to lose it.
Also sidebar on what planet did Curtis, Rene and Dinah think that they could beat Oliver? Like he trained them and they fought Earth X Oliver in the crossover and got their asses handed to them. Why blame him for fighting and winning when they were chomping at the bit to fight. Also another sidebar, Rene calling out Oliver by saying that William will realize he's nothing but a thug was waaaay out of line. No one's talking about Zoey!
Rene is being transferred to another hospital which I'm hoping beyond hope means that he's being written off the show. Curtis and Dinah can follow suit for all I care. I really didn't want Black Siren to be redeemed cause it made no sense to me to have her become good cause we already have a Black Canary and the third one on top of that (and the fact that Katie Cassidy plays a better villain) but now I don't even care. The end of the episode where she pretended to be Laurel was interesting. Is her plan to return to Star City and act like she's really Laurel? Dinah's there so I'm not sure why that would be a good idea. Also sidebar despite me constantly being like I don't want Black Siren redeemed, I was sitting there the whole end of the episode right there with Quentin hoping that she'd return the money.
For once I'm actually feeling like Diaz as a villain might actually pose a threat to Oliver cause not only does he have the police captain in his pocket but the lawyer who's trying to put Oliver in jail as well. I liked how he was like the case against Oliver is like quicksand cause that's what I've been saying all season. The FBI woman straight up was all bluff and then she handed off the case to the city quick as can be. I wonder if this means she was in Diaz's pocket as well or if she'll come back once this lawyer is exposed.
BY BABY ROY IS COMING BACK NEXT WEEK. And I really wish it was long term cause if this season has done anything, it's made me miss Roy to pieces and want him back on the team. I hope he's going to be around for more than one episode at the very least and bonus Thea is going to get back into her Speedy costume. I keep waiting for an actual reason the show gives us for why she won't suit up again. Her Lazarus Pit rage is gone so what's holding her back really? I just need Roy to show up and show NTA what a real Arrow team member looks like.

Gotham Season 4 Episode 12 Review
Gotham is finally back after such a long time off and it's kicking ass as always! So much happened in tonight's episode that I don't even know where to begin.
Let's start with the Ivy stuff. Ivy has been recast for the third time and I'm assuming that's cause the second actress couldn't make it back or had other work she was doing. I don't particularly mind cause this one seems to be more mature and I'm not sure if all those drugs are supposed to age her up but the second Ivy was really a child in a grown up's body but this Ivy seems to be mentally older as well based on what little we got of her tonight which could be super interesting. I'm also thrilled that Ivy 3.0 seems to have her Poison Ivy powers which by the by were horrifying to see close up on that dead guy's body. Something about seeing those plants growing on his dead body gave me goosebumps and I had to look away. Blood and gore is totally fine but this lol seems to be too much for me! It's been so long since we saw Ivy that I straight up forgot all her problems with the Sirens but I kind of like that she still loves Selina but I'm not sure how much I care to see Ivy ALSO want to rule Gotham. I feel like she wasn't really the take over the world kind of villain but it might be fun to see. I'm assuming that oil spill in the park will be on her line of sight no matter how quickly she changed the channel.
Speaking of Selina, I loved her thing with Bruce tonight though it was way too short for my taste. Drunk playboy Bruce is still giving my life but I can't tell if Bruce is actually drunk tonight or acting cause it seemed more like Bruce pretending to be a playboy again like he did early last season rather than Bruce actually being the playboy. Selina called him out for playing around too so I can see Bruce just acting. It was a little disappointing to see how exasperated Selina was with him cause it really seemed like she was over him being around and that's kind of sad cause I love them together and I didn't really want jealousy but I was hoping for a bit more of a passionate response. Maybe we'll see that in the future.
Speaking of disappointments, the show built up the suspense for Jim seeing Lee again but while it seemed like Jim was still into Lee, Lee seemed over him as well. It seems to be a theme that the ladies are moving onto bigger and better things while the men stay in the same place. I was also hoping for a bit more of an impact from their first meeting in a season but again I guess we'll build up to it. I did like how the Toymaker (RIP Toymaker you were gone too fast) was working on Riddler's orders but Nygma had no idea cause he's going through blackouts again. Lee and Jim discussing Nygma right in front of Nygma killed me too. I do also love the idea of Lee fixing the Narrows cause she's a badass.
I was not a huge fan of the Alfred storyline but I guess he needed something to do while he's away from Bruce. His bond with the waitress was a little out of nowhere but how pissed he got about her being abused and killed made complete sense and I love how he ended up with Bullock who saved his ass in the end. I missed Bullock too though I feel like he was a pain in my ass last season. It's been long enough that I'm just thrilled to see him again. What do we think? He'll be back on the force by the end of the season?
Next week's episode looks like Ivy will be attacking Bruce (for the park probably) and he'll be going on some sort of mental/emotional journey with Ivy's poison I'd say and the return of Jerome who we saw at the midseason finale but didn't appear this week (not that I noticed oops.) I wasn't too saddened we didn't see any of Jerome but Penguin was missed so I can't wait to see what happens next week!
Don't forget to check out my Arrow review later tonight!
