What Shows Am I Watching This Week?

Hello everyone and welcome back!  Anyway, let's dive right in shall we?

Welcome To Demon School Iruma-Kun Episode 10

We finally got around to the dodgeball competition this week and to no one's surprise Iruma won and went up one rank to Bet! I was surprised however to find that Azz ended up on the other team but it made sense when I thought about it cause who else would have been a good opponent other than Azz?? It's a little hard reviewing this episode cause I really don't have much to say about it other than it was funny as usual and fun to watch but nothing truly happened that I can discuss. I suppose we can talk about how Iruma is one step closer to becoming the Demon King and how Ameri thinks that Iruma is all ambitious now. I still think it's hilarious that the whole school thinks Iruma is this badass and they were all like let's not even try to hit Iruma cause he's so strong when he's probs the weakest. I did love that it was his mind that ended up allowing him to win in the end cause when Azz through the ball with all his strength and power, Iruma just turned it around so that all that strength and power would hit Azz. I still love how jealous Clara got and I'm still waiting to find out whether Iruma likes Ameri or not cause he does tend to blush whenever she comes around.

Special 7: Special Crime Investigation Unit Episode 9

Anyone else super surprised that Nijou managed to hide his relation to Luka for so long? I totally thought it was more of an open secret that Nijou and Luka were siblings and that he hated Ichinose for letting Luka go out on his own but according to what we learned this week Ichinose had no idea who Nijou was. I wonder if that's why Nijou was doing an investigation on his own. I'm still low key waiting to find out what the big shocking piece of information he learned a few weeks ago. Was it really related to Luka being the Nine's enforceer? We also learned like I expected that Nijou and Luka weren't blood siblings (cause duh one was human and the other was an elf) but I think at this point the fact that Seiji and Luka look alike is just supposed to be something that tugs at Ichinose and Nijou's feelings rather than a hint to something. We also pretty much got a confirmation that Luka became the Nine leader's right hand though I still think it's some sort of brainwashing or magical control cause there's no way based on the type of man Luka was that he would join Nine willingly. I also find it hilarious how everyone now knows that Seiji was the kid Luka saved but no one's told poor Seiji that the man who saved him with Ichinose's partner (and Nijou's brother but that's more of a secret.) I also think we got a confirmation that the Nine's leader (Warlock?) took Seiji and did some sort of magic on him and made him into a half-dragon cause it looked like Nine wanted a spirited child and they picked Seiji and that totally lines up with everything we've learned so far.

Crisis On Infinite Earths Episode 1

After a year of buildup and waiting, Crisis has finally arrived and this first episode was both fun and totally tragic! This is the Endgame of the DCTV Arrowverse and I have the highest hopes which I'm low key worried about cause when you have high hopes, you can only really be disappointed or have those expectations met. So far I'm having fun though so there's that. I loved starting the episode with seeing all the different multiverses from the Tim Burton Batman world to the Titans universe to the Batman and Robin world where I grinned from ear to ear when Robin said his catchphrase of holy exclamations! I'm actually really glad that the Crisis started on Supergirl's Earth cause I haven't watched Supergirl since the midseason last year though I know the basics of what's going on this season cause it allowed us to get all of Supergirl's cast out of the way and use most of the episode as set up for the future. We managed to get 3 billion out of 7 billion people off of Supergirl's Earth and it'll be really interesting to see what will happen over on Supergirl cause where will all these people go? We also met Jonathon Kent and saw the Oliver from the Legends 2049 timeline again and I loved the moment he got with Sara cause I always have adored Sara and Oliver's relationship. Now onto the heavy stuff which was Oliver's death. On the one hand it does feel a little lame cause I wanted Oliver to go out in a bigger moment of glory if he had to die but on the other I still can't decide if he's dead dead already or if he'll come back. Maybe we'll see another version of him cause I can't imagine Stephen being benched for the rest of the crossover! Part of me thinks that it's so unfair that Oliver who was the reason for the Arrowverse existing at all is the one who can't have a happy ending so I'm like there's no way they'll kill him permanently but part of me also thinks that if the writers really wanted to give Crisis real stakes Oliver would have to die cause he's the only one who's show is ending.

Truly can't wait for the next episode of Crisis which will take place over on Batwoman! I assume that we're going to start going Earth hopping to get more heroes to fight!

Stand My Heroes: Piece Of Truth Episode 10

All I could think as I watched this episode was talk about being naive Rei! I had thought for a while now that Rei was actually fairly competent and intelligent enough to know when to show her kindness and when to be fierce but this week she went off the rails. I mean there's an obscene amount of evidence pointing to the Kujo family being connected to Plus and yet she decides that just cause of the men who like Kujo is kind to her that clearly all the evidence must be wrong. Even criminals and bad guys have people who love them! I was especially annoyed when she went to Kujo himself and was like here's what we know cause not only was she all alone so she could get hurt but seriously who reveals the hand they have to the antagonist?? It's interesting to note that Miyase also lost his mother in the same accident that Rei lost her parents in and it'll truly be horrific for Miyase if and when he finds out that the man he looked up to for so long might have caused the accident in the first place. We also learned that Makoto doesn't actually know where Ida is now but that he fears that everything that happened might have come about cause Ida used one of Makoto's novels as inspiration. I also have a feeling that whatever the thing was that Ida stole ended up with Maki cause Makoto said that Ida said that the thing was with the child and Maki was the child that Ida kidnapped. I bet it has the evidence we need to prove Kujo's connection to the drugs cause the narcotics division's plan to catch Kujo in the act of selling the drug is low key ridiculous cause why would the head of a giant company do the shady dealings himself??

Crisis On Infinite Earths Episode 2

What a blast and a half! I loved that we got to experience more multiverses but unlike in the first episode they were extended cameos rather than just one shots! I loved seeing "Smallville" Clark Kent and Lois Lane and I love the idea that he gave up his powers to be a dad cause our Clark also wanted to do that which is why he was on Argo! We also got a snapshot of a "Death of Superman" Superman which was fun but what really excited me was the Kevin Conroy Batman who was pretty much evil Batman. I loved the slow reveal where we thought that maybe he's not as good as we expect only to end up having been the one to kill his Earth's Superman! In terms of the bigger story though we're told there are 7 heroes out there that are considered to be paragons which was the best of the best heroes across all of the multiverses: three of which are Kara, Kate, and Sara while the fourth as we learned in the episode was "Kingdom Come" Superman. I'm assuming that Oliver is one too because we first heard the word paragon in the premiere episode of Arrow this year so I can't imagine that he wouldn't be one! The other two I'm not entirely sure of yet though I assume that Black Lightning must be one (based on the poster cause tbh I didn't really even know he would be in this crossover) and some version of the Flash whether that's our Barry or Earth 3's Barry. Speaking of Oliver Queen, I freaking knew that there was no chance that he was dead dead but part of me was on the edge of my seat the whole time wondering what would happen to stop Oliver's resurrection and in the end it was the anti-matter messing with Constantine's powers which makes me think that they'll just sedate Oliver until the Crisis is over and then bring his soul back but maybe we'll get lucky if he is in fact a paragon and Constantine can do it back on the ship. I also love that it was Mia and Barry who led the charge on bringing him back cause duh Mia but Barry has always looked up to Oliver as what a hero should be so of course he'd refuse to let him die.

Having finally met the Anti-Monitor I wonder if we'll learn about what his big plan to stop the heroes will be. I mean we still need to find 2 or 3 more paragons but then are they supposed to have it all out with the Anti-Monitor? What's the plan?? I wonder if Barry will end up "dying" in part 3 like Oliver did in part 1 in order to make his whole half season make sense.

Crisis On Infinite Earths Episode 3

This was the finale for the first part of Crisis and as per the first episode there was stuff that I was super down for and stuff that I didn't particularly understand and stuff that I wish was different! I did enjoy the episode as a whole and I loved the cliffhanger! I screamed out loud when Lucifer appeared cause I had hoped that maybe he would (being a DC character and all) after Constantine couldn't bring Oliver's soul back and it was great seeing Earth 90's Flash again but the moment he appeared I was like oh duh of course that Barry will vanish in Crisis! Black Lightning also joined us though part of me was like maybe you should have saved Jennifer instead cause technically she is the stronger electrical powered hero. We also met Choi who I'm pretty sure in the comics is the second ATOM after Ray and since we know that Brandon Routh is planning on leaving the Arrowverse this year, Choi was probably cast to replace him. I don't particularly care for him as a character yet but maybe I will in time. As we found out the other three paragons were Barry, J'onn and Choi and part of me is bitter as hell that my baby Oliver wasn't one but he's supposedly a Spectre now whatever the hell that is which I'm not thrilled with cause I really just wanted Oliver to return as a human so that Felicity and Oliver and Mia and William could get the happily ever after they deserve but maybe after Crisis he'll be granted leave to return to his body! Kara and Kate's whole thing this episode was really boring though and like I get that Kara's upset about her Earth but like seriously now was not the time cause there would always be time later to bring the Earths back but first the Anti-Monitor needed to be stopped! In terms of the actual story, I'm not sure why destroying the anti-matter canon was important cause the Anti-Monitor was able to create an anti-matter wave to destroy Earth 1 anyway and I wonder if Lyla is dead for good though if I had to guess, I'd say no.

The next two parts of Crisis are supposed to air in January and I have a feeling we'll defeat Anti-Monitor then and bring back the multiverse cause if it had been just a few Earths that were destroyed then I could see everyone coming to Earth 1 but with even Black Lightning's Earth destroyed, I can't see any end except for a return to status quo. I'm hoping that Oliver will return to being alive and that Lyla will be okay!

Riverdale Season 4 Episode 9

Overall this was a pretty fun midseason finale that seemed to be wrapping up everything that our main characters went through so far but I'm still so in the dark about what's going on with Jughead! He met his grandpa this week and found out that though FP I did write the first Baxter book he actually sold his rights away so nothing sketch was going on at Stonewall like Jughead thought though I totally still expected Jughead to find him dead later in the episode but to my surprise it looks like FP I really did run away but I still think Stonewall is sketchy. The thing I don't understand is his death flash-forwards that we keep doing and now we're supposed to think that Betty killed him in a fugue state which was what Betty's story this week was. I seriously want to call shenanigans cause there's no way that Betty should have been hypnotized like she was or like we're supposed to think cause Alice and Polly were at the Farm long enough to be sleeper agents but an activation word should have meant nothing to Betty! Archie looks to be wrapping up his whole vigilante thing in order to focus on this supposed uncle that just appeared out of nowhere and it's like dude Riverdale do you have nothing else in your bag of tricks? This is the sixth or so surprise family member that magically appeared in four seasons! Veronica was turned down at Dartmouth but it looks like Columbia might take her which might be the place where the others go too so that our cast doesn't have to be separated. Cheryl found out that it was her mom after all that was gaslighting her like I expected but it was kinda hilarious that she locked her mom up in the bunker cause I expected it to be the Sisters again but I think that church was destroyed last season or the one before that.

Riverdale will be back in January and it looks like the promo might have shown us multiple episodes for as much as I could see. There's going to be more football and Jughead might ask Veronica to go undercover at a Stonewall party for some reason. I can't wait to see where this crazy show takes us!

Assassin's Pride Episode 10

This episode really turned around what I thought was happening in this show. I really thought that Melida's father was the one who kept hiring assassins to check on Melida or to kill her if she wasn't his biological daughter but after this week I wonder if he truly does love Melida in his own way and that it's actually other people who are after her. It's possible of course that he just wants to hide Melida to hide his shame away but honestly if that was the case, hiding her would probably be worse! It'd be better to do as Kufa says and make Melida seem like such a badass that no one can say anything. I'm really lost in terms of why the other royalty are so interested in Melida and why Duke Serge tested Melida's mana or why he cares. I mean he's clearly the bad guy even if he's convincing his younger sister that he's doing all this for Melida's sake but why bother? It's not like the Angel family are the rulers so why the need to depose them? I'm low key hoping that Melida kicks ass down in the library test and ends up getting the certification cause I'm tired of everyone looking down on her! We're only two episodes away from the end and I feel like there are so many questions left unanswered but the most important of course is whether or not Melida really is a bastard child. We also know next to nothing about the politics of this world or even what Melida's father does. The people in that secret meeting were talking about how Melida is shame to the nobility but like that has nothing to do with them!

The Mandalorian Season 1 Episode 6

You know at some point Mando will have to realize that he and Baby Yoda aren't exactly safe running with mercenaries and bounty hunters! Unlike him most of them don't exactly have a code and this is the second week in which he started out doing one thing and ended up being turned against in the next. Having said that it was pretty fun watching his run with a gang of mercenaries but the best was seeing him outplay them all which was so nice cause just earlier they were all making fun of him and whether or not Mandalorians really were so good at fighting. I still don't understand the big interest in whether or not he takes off his helmet cause it's like dude who cares but I have a feeling that it's all leading up to Mando losing his helmet somehow whether it's of his own volition or by force meaning that he can no longer wear the helmet anymore. It was also so nice seeing the New Republic X Wings show up and it makes me wish all the more that we could see more of the New Republic. I still don't understand why Mando hasn't gone to them for help. It's not he's a criminal and I'm sure that he could get paid helping them out! It'll be safe and he'll actually get money for the stuff he does. I also wonder where all those Mandalorians ended up from earlier in the season and whether Mando knows where they're hiding now or if he'll go to them but I'd guess not since Baby Yoda still has a tracker and bringing him to the Mandalorian base would be dangerous.

Harley Quinn Season 1 Episode 3

This show oddly hits me in the funny bone at the absolute weirdest times cause I'll just be sitting here la di da and then all of a sudden I'm wheezing from laughter. It's fascinating watching this show cause I can't believe it was made and I'm living for how angry it makes male fans of DC even though I'm like dude bros if you don't like the story or the message, don't watch it! I loved that this week was all about Harley trying to find a crew to work with her but no one wanted to cause she's a female villain and most henchmen don't wanna work for a female boss which is hilarious but I low key still expected her to get an all female squad! I mean why not go the Birds of Prey route?? In the end we went with Clayface and Dr Psycho but I was happy for Harley and how she was able to do everything she wanted from getting revenge on Maxie Zeus to getting a highway named after her all the way to making Joker furious. I'm low key thrilled that a major overarching thread point in this show is Joker and Harley just being the worst exes and trying to outwit each other. I do wish a few more big name villains were in this show like I'm still waiting for Catwoman and Huntress and stuff but I imagine that the show will get there eventually cause next week we'll be getting a Robin it looks like but which one I'm not sure yet!

xoxo Allie
