Supergirl Season 3 Episode 16 Review

Tonight's episode of Supergirl was great and it might be 60% percent because the Legion finally returned!

Let's start with the stuff I didn't like. I cannot with Sam/Reign anymore and I'm sorry but we had 16 episodes for me to like her or hate her but honestly I'm indifferent. I like the idea of the World Killers and they're super badass and I love how they're stronger together but for the life of me I cannot help but want to fast forward every scene tonight about Sam and Lena. We all knew that Lena would find a cure cause duh so it was just a lot of nothing. The whole parallel world thing is weird and it makes me wonder how the World Killers actually work cause I thought they were like Killer Frost in that they're another personality but being able to talk to each other makes me think otherwise as if they're jumping into other bodies. They're basically invincible and it really makes me wonder how Supergirl and our crew will stop them.

Sidebar, I adored how Grace aka Pestilence was evil as a human too cause sometimes Kara's idealism drives me a little crazy and not everyone is good no matter how you look at it. I loved that she was like I got these powers and now I'm a god cause a lot of people would see it that way. But take this with a grain of salt cause a lot of this is my bias towards being on Imra's side of the argument with Kara...

Now onto Winn. Did anyone else have a weird feeling after tonight that Winn might leave the show cause I did. That whole speech Winn gave to James felt odd cause we all knew that Winn wasn't going to die which is why it confused me a bit. The only thing I can think of is that maybe it means that Winn will leave the show after this season to find a bigger adventure. Maybe he'll even go with the Legion to the future which I would love but also it would suck cause I do love Winn and I want him around. Tbh my ideal scenario would be if we could all just move to the future or give us a Legion show cause I adore them. Also by the by, James is so utterly useless and if anyone needs to leave, it's him.

Like I said earlier, Brainiac 5 and Imra were back tonight and I'm still in love with Brainy. He made himself an image inducer so we don't have to see his beyond awful makeup job and I loved it. Ugh give me all the Jesse Rath tbh. Also sidebar if he wants to stick around and be Kara's love interest, I'm still down. I love how awkward he is about stuff that he doesn't know about like when Winn was joking or Kara was talking about social media.

It wasn't all fun and games for the Legion though and like we learned previously, Pestilence becomes the Blight and it turns out that Imra and Brainy decided to come back to kill Pestilence before she becomes the Blight so they can save everyone in the future. Kara and Mon El were both against this but honestly I think they were right. One life to save millions is worth it in my mind. It's interesting how almost every superhero show I'm watching is dealing with this idea right now and I understand the idealism that those against this feel but for me the many outweigh the few especially when the few are not good. I think it'd be a harder decision if the person you had to kill was someone you love but the World Killers are not those. It also adds to the problem when you know that clearly whatever your original plan was does not work if someone from the future tells you it doesn't work.

In the same vein, I'm not sure why Kara is being so hesitant cause it's not like she imprisons her Big Bads either. Like technically she doesn't kill them herself but last season she wasn't putting up a big fight when Lena and Winn came up with lead gas to kill the Daxamites.

Meanwhile Mon El and Imra are almost 80% done relationship wise. It must be hard for Imra seeing Mon El falling back in love with Kara but it's very clear especially after tonight. He took Kara's side over and over and in that final DEO scene, he couldn't tear his eyes away from her for a second. I honestly kept waiting for Imra to say that the reason the Blight is so personal to her was because Lightening Lad aka her soulmate was killed by it. I forever will not understand why the show tossed him aside but with his appearance/return, Imra at least would have a bit of a silver lining to her situation when Mon El chooses Kara. It does make more sense thematically for Imra to have lost her sister like Kara almost did tonight but still.

Next week looks like fun and Supergirl seems to be ramping up towards it's finale. We are like 7 episodes out from the finale which does sort of lower the bar as to what can happen next week cause we know that Kara can't beat the World Killers yet but also they can't really hurt her either. I do love the idea that they're attempting to block out the sun to weaken Kara but seriously I need an explanation on what the World Killers are cause though none of the Kryptonian weaknesses affect them, they have to have some sort of weakness that Kara and co can focus on.

Flash tomorrow night!

Agents of SHIELD Season 5 Episode 19 Review

Who doesn't love alien invasions?? Tonight's episode was all about them and fights within the team!

So one of my favorite things this episode did was put the spotlight on some of the random side SHIELD members and it was hilarious. When Kim asked Davis if everything was like this all the time and Davis was like the crazy plan yeah but the fighting is new, I died of laughter. I expected this to be a one-off but then Davis and Piper were talking about how Davis got a huge scar from something and she was like well why didn't you tell anyone and Davis was like dude none of the higher ups in SHIELD would care and I died of laughter all over again. I didn't know how much I needed this before. It reminded me a little of that season 1 episode where we saw the same ten minutes repeated over and over with different characters when they were on the train. I kind of would love an episode from the random SHIELD guy's POV or just a short!

There wasn't much Daisy this episode cause she went off to take Robin to a safe place and then went dark to go meet up with Mack's friend the Candyman to find a cure for Coulson. I wasn't a huge fan of the fight they had at the beginning of the episode where Daisy blamed Fitz and YoYo for everything and YoYo blamed Daisy for being too soft and Jemma and Fitz tried to defend themselves. It was a mess and everyone shares a little bit of the blame. Now that we know who the actual Destroyer of Worlds is tonight, I hope a lot of this anger will fade away cause it makes me sad to see my babies fighting. The worst part of Fitz embracing his evil side was that it broke up my bus kids (Fitz, Jemma and Daisy.) Anyway we did get Daisy receiving some of the Centipede serum that turned Deathlok crazy season 1 and information on how Garrett lived in season 1 which was apparently some of Jiaying's inhuman power aka when Whitehall experimented on her. We saw Daisy digging up Jiaying's grave at the end of the episode and though I find that sketchy to try to steal her power, it would be a good way to save Coulson.

Back in the Lighthouse, we found out that the aliens that are attacking are the Maruaders and that they want the Gravitonium. According to Deke, the original timeline shows that they looted the Earth and then left when they got bored. Since that didn't happen tonight, it makes me wonder if perhaps the loop has been broken already and that maybe originally it was Daisy who was the Destroyer but now it's Talbot. Hardcore Talbot was terrifying when he walked into the control room and crushed the aliens. Gravitonium's power is so scary and so powerful. It's probably a terrible idea for Talbot to have it because his brain has already been messed around with after the brain damage from the gunshot and then the HYDRA programming but maybe that's exactly what's needed to separate Hall and Quinn's voices from his own. It would be a fun twist tbh and honestly of all the characters I thought that would be the Destroyer, Talbot was never even on my list!

Jemma also didn't get to do much tonight cause she spent a lot of it ICEd by Talbot. She really shouldn't have been left alone with him and she really shouldn't have turned her back on him. Luckily he didn't shoot her for real. Coulson and May had some funny moments tonight too. I loved when they bickered like the married couple they are about how Coulson jumped the gun on nuclear attack and didn't wait for the alien invasion option to pop up on the Lighthouse menu. His announcement about what just happened right after was even better and I couldn't stop laughing at how nonchalant he was. He also almost told May he loved her too tonight but she cut him off cause he has the worst timing.

Mack is apparently pissed at YoYo for what she did last week and honestly I'm sick of Mack being all high and mighty all the time. You're a freaking secret agent and you're supposed to be able to make the tough calls but every time anyone tries to do what's right for the better good, Mack throws a fit and seriously he needs to chill. His lines about not wanting to worry about what happens next are ridiculous cause it's like he's seen how terrible the future is and maybe the only reason it keeps happening is that SHIELD doesn't make the tough calls. I also will never not be annoyed that future YoYo decided instead of saying anything about what they should actually avoid or do to change things only said let Coulson die as if that's not vague and unhelpful. Poor Coulson's face when YoYo said that broke my heart a little.

Anytime there's grumpy Fitz and cinnamon roll Deke on screen together, I live. I love how worried Deke is whenever Fitz and Simmons are not near each other and it keeps making me wonder if the whole team knows who Deke is cause no one seems to think anything of his panic which means it must have happened off screen and I'm heartbroken we never got to see that comedy gold. Deke did get to help a bunch tonight with being able to turn the elevator back on and showed off his intelligence with multiverse theory. The best moment though was when Deke was like during worry gramps I'll keep the Gravitonium safe and then Fitz took a step forward and a deep breath and we were all expecting him to say something like be careful or I don't actually hate you but instead Fitz tells him never to call him gramps and I died all over again. For a pretty dark episode, the amount of times I laughed was great.

Next week we get Talbot trying to be a hero and protect the Earth. I'm assuming at some point we'll see him snap cause how can he not? I'm just waiting for the other shoe to drop to be honest with all that. I also wonder if we'll get an Infinity War tie in cause originally Infinity War was supposed to air next week or if it'll be the week after or if the throwaway line from Candyman to Daisy was it. He said something about whether she saw what was happening in New York and Daisy told him that she doesn't watch the news (which seriously if this is the tie in, that's completely ridiculous and lame cause what secret government agent doesn't pay attention to the news or what's happening around the world.)

I'll see you all Monday for my Supergirl review!!

Arrow Season 6 Episode 20 Review

Is it funny that all I could think about tonight's episode was that I guess it's that time of year again where Oliver is tortured one-on-one? Also I'm still confused about why everyone's so scared of Diaz and last week's episode did not make him any scarier for me...

Let's start with the Black Siren and Quentin stuff. So it's finally been revealed to Quentin and Oliver (which means pretty much everyone knows now) that Laurel's been working with Diaz but it's clear after tonight that she's not on board with Diaz as much as she's scared of him. I have a few questions about this cause it didn't seem like she cared all that much when she was talking back to Diaz the entire time last week. It seems more of she cares for Quentin and she doesn't want him to be hurt which is why she's scared. It's sweet cause that's the exact reason Quentin is worried too and though I was a little disappointed that he signed the papers in the end (like that's not going to come around and bite him in the ass) I understand why he did it.

My struggle with this whole thing is that I don't feel like Diaz is that big of a threat. Honestly. Like neither Oliver or Black Siren have had an problems with murder before so why are they so scared? Oliver maybe I understand a bit more cause he's trying to be good and he is only human so he doesn't really have much of a leg up but Laurel literally is stronger than him as a meta. Why can't she Canary Cry him to death like she did to so many others. Once he's dead there will be a vacuum and Diaz's hold on the city will fall (though now that he has joined the Quadrant, it's a toss up as to whether or not they'll care enough to avenge him.) I feel like that killing Diaz may be the only way to stop him cause in cases like this where everyone is owned by Diaz, sending him to jail will do nothing.

Also sidebar when Quentin and Laurel were talking about how no one can protect her, besides me rolling my eyes about how she's actually physically stronger, I kept wondering why can't they send her back to Earth 2 aka her home. Like I get she likes being with Quentin but she could just chill there until Diaz is taken care of or Quentin could go with her like their original plan was before the recruits stopped them. Just real quick call Cisco or Barry. Even if the city is blocked from visitors, Barry speeding in and out or Cisco breeching in and out wouldn't be stopped.

Speaking of Diaz being weak, he straight up challenged Oliver to a one-on-one fight but then couldn't win without cheating. Like dude this just makes you look even weaker. I did enjoy Anatoli returning to Oliver's side (as least that's what I read from the situation in the end) but it did feel kind of abrupt to me. Like for months Oliver has been telling Anatoli that Diaz and Cayden James have no honor and that Anatoli is better than them so what changed tonight? Was it Oliver proving to Anatoli that he still wants them to be friends? Was it Oliver being beaten? Either way I'm happy with the outcome though I was terrified during the back half of the episode that since Anatoli redeemed himself that Diaz would murder him especially when that man came into Oliver's cell and told Anatoli that Diaz wanted to see him. Luckily that didn't happen and I hope he makes it out of this season alright.

Over on the recruits side, Rene got out of the hospital but seemed to be struggling with being out in the field. I was really really hoping that this meant that Rene would be done and written off the show cause he drives me crazy in a bad way but with the speech he got from his daughter at the end, I feel like he's probs gotten over his slump and will be fine next week. Also I swear to god if he doesn't stop being the most hypocritical piece of garbage, I will lose it. He kept whining and whining about how Oliver ruins lives and how he's all worried with getting hurt in the field cause he might lose his daughter and I'm sitting here like the only lives that were ruined were Oliver's when you decided to testify against him and if we're talking children, you're taking Oliver away from his son!

Anyway, I loved seeing Digg running ARGUS and him teaming up with the recruits was exactly what I thought might be a fun way to take this Diggle leaving Oliver storyline only I wanted him to work with Oliver instead. It is nice that he doesn't seem to despise Oliver like the recruits do and that he knows that he left cause of himself and not particularly Oliver. Also it was so damn easy for the recruits to forgive him. One apology and that's that? Is that what we're waiting for from Oliver at the end of the season? I still despise this cause Oliver is the main character on Arrow and I really am not a fan of this storyline going out of it's way to make Oliver the asshole and bending over backwards for side characters. I loved how badass ARGUS was tonight with taking out so many trucks of weapons and having that awesome drone. It's been a while since we saw ARGUS as more than cannon fodder.

With the trial coming up next week, I normally would have complained that I need some sort of list of charges and evidence cause to me it seemed like when Watson ran the case she had a lot of theories and hearsay and it was only Rene testifying that Oliver was the Green Arrow that made the case but now that Diaz runs the city, not so much. Like it doesn't matter what comes up, if Diaz holds the judge, they're going to rule Oliver as guilty anyway. I can't really see a way out for Oliver unless they take out Diaz before he's convicted or if they publicly film the trial so that it has to be above board. Also where the hell is Watson cause she straight showed up, stirred the pot and then peaced out. As much of a bitch as she was, she did believe in the law and she might be the only shot Oliver has of a fair-ish trial. Or and this is coming out of left field, what if Lyla claimed that Oliver was working with ARGUS? They're a legal government organization right?

I do think that Oliver being in jail would be a fun final scene at the end of the season but with the Flash playing with Barry being in jail for a couple episodes this season, I just can't see Arrow going the same way. I feel like Oliver will be "convicted" or will out himself as the Green Arrow but then also show how Diaz corrupted the whole city so that the people will believe that the Green Arrow and the other vigilantes are the only way to keep the city safe. I'd love if the season ended with Oliver outing himself tbh.

Sidebar, why don't the police/FBI/Diaz care about the recruits? Like they're vigilantes too so shouldn't they be prosecuted as well? Not to mention the fact that if they were out of the picture as well, Diaz would have an easier time.

WHAT THE FUCK WAS THE PROMO FOR NEXT WEEK???? DID MY LITTLE EYES SPOT TOMMY FREAKING MERYLN POPPING UP IN A GREEN ARROW COSTUME????? WHAT. No but seriously, do we think this is Lazarus Pit Tommy or Human Target with Tommy's face? Also how in the hell did I forget that Black Siren is thought to be Black Canary who died so of course she can testify (but again no one cares that she was a vigilante too?) I am on the edge of my freaking seat. Can it be next week already???

Agents of SHIELD tomorrow night!

The Flash Season 4 Episode 19 Review

Tonight's episode of the Flash was a bit boring but there were parts that I really enjoyed as well. Shall we?

So last week I totally forgot about Earth X Leo Snart when I was trying to figure out who the Snart in the previews was probably because more than anything I miss our Earth 1 Snart so I'm always hoping to have him pop in. Earth X Snart did feel pretty similar to our Snart this week though so it's not all bad news. I loved that he showed up and comforted everyone like he did on Legends though I would have given anything for him to make a Ralph puppet just to see everyone's reactions. I'm not entirely sure why the team needed him for his out of the box thinking cause to me it seemed like a normal plan that the team would come up with. He actually ended up hindering the plan a bit more by having Siren X follow him.

Speaking of, we got another Laurel Lance doppelganger and I hardcore rolled my eyes the moment she popped up on screen. Like I get it, Katie Cassidy is available so why not have her pop in and out as recurring villains but it would have been much more fun if we were able to get a different actor to play a character. I enjoyed what we got from Siren X but I think the impact was dulled a little cause we do see so much of her on Arrow so it's like why bother bringing her around here. It would have been better if we got an Earth X Killer Frost or Reverb or Flash (cause like where even was Earth X Barry?) especially since that would have made a bigger impact than another Laurel. It was fun though to see new powers from Siren X with her ability to hear things from a distance and being able to keep a breech open.

As you may know Caitlin is one of my favorites on this show and I'm also disappointed that she doesn't get more to do so I really enjoyed that the show focused on her losing Killer Frost cause I was afraid they would just ignore it in favor of Ralph's death. I loved that she was able to talk through her feelings about losing Killer Frost with Snart who was able to comfort her without making her feel silly for missing an alter ego. I am also glad that she came to the conclusion at the end that though she doesn't need Killer Frost, she wants her around and is going to try to find out how to bring her out again. By the by this makes no sense cause like how did Caitlin study her genes and find KF? Honestly the whole KF thing never made any sense so why bother? I'm assuming that since Melting Point somehow removed Caitlin's meta genes from her DNA that another shot of dark matter won't wake them.

The stuff was Barry was a little annoying this week cause he was being a giant baby and refusing to acknowledge his feelings and guilt about losing Ralph. It took up way too much of the episode to get to where we all saw it was going and for the love of everything could we PLEASE get rid of that awful therapist? It was funny the first time and now it's just dumb and not needed. Everyone on Team Flash already acts like a therapist for Barry and Iris, do we really need a new one? Also was anyone else getting a weird vibe from Iris tonight? Trouble in the marriage? Though maybe I'm just seeing the struggle with Marlize and sort of projecting it to Iris but at the same time if it was true, it would make an interesting parallel.

Speaking of Marlize, I am more and more disgusted by her situation and it's giving me anxiety. I HATE abusive relationships, emotional or physical and it always makes me feel way too much for the victim. I really hope she's able to get away from DeVoe soon. He did make a fatal flaw in not dosing her tea at the start of the episode and that may end up being his downfall. It seems as though with DeVoe's mind reaching the height of intelligence, it affected his emotions cause he no longer seems to feel any. Poor Marlize is there hoping that her husband has returned to her but instead she finds that she's lost him forever with how he keeps going on and on about how she should stop thinking and follow his lead and stop trying to be romantic. Ugh.

Sidebar we STILL have not gotten to know what The Thinker's endgame is.

On the other hand I did get it right and Harry is losing his intelligence albeit slower than I expected. I loved that Cisco was the one to find out first (cause they are the closest) and that he was the one to convince Harry that he is more than just his intelligence. I do think that maybe Cisco should have let Harry go to Earth 2 cause this does seem like a time when he should be with his daughter and though I'm sure that the team will science science and fix his brain in the end, Harry probably won't be able to help too much so it would have been best to let him be with his daughter while Team Flash fixes the problem. Do we know if memories will be affected at all? The brain as much as Flash tries to make into one thing is very complex and by cutting off the neurons from firing may affect other parts of the brain.

Okay so it looks like maybe we'll finally figure out what DeVoe's evil plan is and here's hoping. I'm also hoping that we'll get to find out what the original plan was before DeVoe lost it cause it seems like whatever the plan is now, Marlize isn't exactly down. I hope that she won't be killed but I have a feeling she might die now that she's no longer useful and seems to be questioning him. I can't wait!

I'll see you all Thursday night for my Arrow review!

Supergirl Season 3 Episode 15 Review

Holy hell the Valor suit! IT LOOKS SO DAMN GOOD! Okay deep breathes. Deep breathes. There was an episode of Supergirl we need to discuss. Deep breathes. Okay so overall I did enjoy this episode and man was it such a sad episode!

Let's start with the Kara and Mon El relationship stuff. It was so cathartic seeing Kara finally lose it on Mon El cause girl should be feeling all sorts of rage at the whole situation and because Kara is an amazing person she's tried to push it down but sometimes you need to let out these emotions otherwise it just hurts you. It's a tough situation to be in for everyone involved cause it's not really Mon El or Imra's fault that they're hurting Kara cause it's been 7 years since Kara and Mon El were together from their point of view but feelings are feelings and I'm sure Kara just feels like everything is unfair. I was a little disappointed that she only got angry about the stuff Mon El did before they were together cause I was hoping this would be a good time for her to yell at Mon El about getting married and more current stuff cause everyone and their mother knows that Kara and Mon El will get back together at some point (maybe not this season but eventually.) I also wonder if this was a way to explain that the showrunners know Mon El wasn't perfect and he was a bit of an ass at the start cause I know a lot of the crew and even Chris Wood himself said that Mon El wasn't a good guy at the start and that they want to rectify that.

Which I do think they did overall. It is still a little hard to see him go from jokester Mon El to this more serious one but it is fun seeing this smarter more capable version. I loved watching him teach Kara cape tricks although I still think it's extremely silly. Mostly I enjoyed them sparring again and him being able to take the mentor role over the student one. I especially loved them analyzing Reign's fight with Supergirl and talking tactics. I was hoping for a bit more sexual tension between them while they were sparring (cause again they're going to get back together) but this version of Mon El is probably more Kara's type so it probs doesn't matter that much. Cause let's be honest, she's in awe every time she sees Mon El be a hero in the field and even when he put on the costume which by the way is super badass. I love the visual of the two of them standing side by side and flying. The reverse color schemes match so well.

Now onto more serious stuff. I didn't really love the Lena and Sam stuff tonight cause I was so irritated with Sam the whole time. I've never been super into her character or the villain for the season but seriously she asked Lena for her help in figuring out why she keeps blacking out and then turns around and blames Lena for being paranoid when she tells her the truth. I understand not wanting to believe it but when she was sobbing that she just wants to go home to Ruby, I rolled my eyes and was like grow a backbone already. I'm glad that she realized it in the end and I'm assuming that Lena will figure out a cure by the end of the season so that they can save Sam (ugh cause we need her on this show) but that Reign will get out at some point and attack Kara again.

My favorite part of this episode was probably the stuff with J'onn and Mry'nn cause it was so emotional and deep and although it had a fantasy element, it also felt really real. Dementia and Alzheimers and other late-term mental illnesses are so terrifying and heartbreaking and watching J'onn and Mry'nn go through it was terrible. It was especially sad in the context of Mry'nn being a prisoner of war and how even when he's finally free, he's going to lose the one thing that makes him feel like who he is with his Martian powers. I'm a little annoyed that we just brought him onto the show this season only to lose him so quickly. It was the same thing with Miss Martian last season. Why do we keep losing the interesting characters but keep Sam and James the most boring ones??

Next week looks exciting and Imra's back! I hope this also means Brainy is too cause I love him. I always love contagion storylines so I'm excited to see what happens. I also wonder if this will be the episode where Imra loses it on Kara cause when we talked about feelings, I'm sure she has some not so positive ones regarding Kara as well. I hope we get to see more of the Legion doing badass stuff cause they did come back to help and I kind of would love it if they were the ones to stop Pestilence!

I'll see you all tomorrow night for my Flash review!

Agents of SHIELD Season 5 Episode 18 Review

I loved tonight's episode of SHIELD and I have so many feelings about it! Let's jump right in!

Let's start with the stuff in the Lighthouse with Coulson, Mack and Deke. I was hardcore cringing every time Deke spoke like all the second hand embarrassment. Like Deke babe you the opposite of subtle. He's gone from kind of suave to a massive dork and I love it. Also if he's going to be asking for love advice from anyone, shouldn't it be his grandparents aka the only couple on the team who's married? The joke about lemons was hilarious though and I loved how not only did Mack and Coulson convince him that was a good idea, the look they shared when he walked into the room with one was everything. I'd give anything for that deleted scene of Daisy just finding a lemon in her bed and being like wtf.

Someone who was having less fun was poor Talbot who was working under the HYDRA brainwashing to kidnap Robin. I assume that not only did she see him coming but she must have known that she would be saved and that he wouldn't kill her mom cause no matter how disconnected she is from time, there's no way she'd let her mom be killed in front of her while she watched without trying to stop it. I am seeing what May said that Coulson was doing tonight when he tried to stop Talbot from killing himself and aiming the gun towards him instead. Luckily Mack was on hand with an ICER otherwise Coulson might have been shot. I still can't decide if the show will kill off Coulson cause it might be too much of a shakeup if we get a season 6.

Meanwhile over with Fitzsimmons and Ruby and Werner, I loved how everyone pretty much ships the two. I mean Ruby literally said it and Werner was like I see those wedding rings. On the other hand, Fitzsimmons' disgusted faces when Ruby and Werner kissed was everything. I was surprised that neither Fitz or Simmons were able to come up with a plan other than stalling because honestly if there was any time for The Doctor to come to play, it would have been now! I also kind of expected them to maybe be like kill us and we stop you but I didn't think that they would place each other above everything which was sweet but a little foolish.

I love the idea that Hall and Franklin have pretty much ruined the Gravitonium. Anyone who touches it becomes filled with their fighting craziness which not only seriously sucks for anyone touching it but it ruins the ability of anyone to use it unless they can ignore the side effects. I would have thought that maybe they're what make Daisy destroy the world but after Ruby was killed by YoYo, I think maybe something else happened and somehow by killing the vessel Gravitonium was in, it was released into the world as Graviton and had all three of their minds. This would make sense cause the show keeps flashing to that picture Robin drew of a person with like five or six people inside it. I'm going to assume that Coulson is probs going to be one of those absorbing it and that when future YoYo talked about saving Coulson, it was saving him from the Gravitonium.

When Ruby killed Werner I actually gasped out loud. It was really sad but I liked her mom trying to talk her down though I did think that Daisy was being a little too soft when she didn't want to kill Ruby and yelled at YoYo for it. It's kind of Ruby's fault in the first place for refusing to listen to anyone or anything about the Gravitonium being bad and then trying to blame everyone else about it. And really what could be done to fix it once it happened anyway? I'm also not thrilled that Hale decided with Ruby dead, the world may burn cause again it's Ruby's fault in the first place. Killing YoYo maybe I'd get but all of SHIELD not so much.

Next week we'll be seeing whatever those aliens that HYDRA was talking to are and whether they're badass cause they'll be attacking the Lighthouse to get the Gravitonium. I'm curious as to why they would want it in the first place and who they are. Next week's episode falls at the same time Infinity War is released so I'm also curious if anything that happens in the movie will affect SHIELD though it might not show up until the week after that since Infinity War was originally pushed up. (Can you believe it's so close??)

That's all for now! I'll see you all Monday night for my Supergirl review!

xoxo Allie

Arrow Season 6 Episode 19 Review

Okay so I was really hoping I'd like this episode because not only was it a Richard Dragon centric episode which was seriously needed cause we know next to nothing about him and he's supposed to be our Big Bad but also because I love episodes of these Arrowverse shows that are different from the normal procedural elements. Unfortunately I spent most of the episode bored to tears which sucks so hard cause it followed right after possibly the best episode of Arrow this season.

A lot of people have been complaining on the internet that Diaz wasn't a scary enough villain for Oliver and before tonight's episode I didn't really have an opinion on that either way. Tonight's episode however placed me firmly in the same boat as all those people. I was hoping that we'd learn what made Diaz tick and that we'd finally see him as a credible threat like Prometheus became last season when it was revealed that he was Adrian Chase. Instead of that, we got a dime a dozen sob story and Diaz being whiny for an hour. The amount of times I rolled my eyes tonight, I'm surprised I didn't give myself a headache. I don't know if it's the actor who isn't giving Diaz enough gravitas or if it's the lines he's been given to read or if it's just the character in general but I was so bored and I could not convince myself to care about anything that was happening on screen.

We've randomly been introduced to a crime syndicate that runs everything in the country (I'm assuming) and it came out of freaking nowhere. Where was the Quadrant the other five seasons of Arrow? Why haven't we heard about them if they're supposed to have their hand in everything? And don't even get me started on Diaz's big masterplan which was revealed to be nothing more than a way to make himself feel better. All I can say is that Diaz needs therapy. He's nothing more than a child throwing a tantrum to make himself feel better. I'm just waiting for the episode where he snaps and I'm not a fan of this cause I was really hoping that Diaz would be more of a criminal mastermind. I loved the idea of him literally owning everyone in Star City that has any say cause I always love villains (or heroes) with brains. I like seeing them have contingency plans upon contingency plans.

I suppose that the thing with Diaz is that he could only really work this season when Team Arrow was split cause he's not a threat to Oliver whatsoever except in numbers. Once he's taken out, the city's back to normal with really no one the wiser or too much damage done. Now that he's gotten in with the Quadrant though I guess maybe Oliver might kill/capture him before the season finale and then have to deal with the Quadrant in the finale or Diaz will be captured/killed in the finale and the Quadrant might be the villains next season (please no cause I've just met them and I'm already over it.)

Speaking of, did anyone find literally any part of the Quadrant menacing at all? Like I don't find Diaz threatening but he basically took them down tonight with only the help of Black Siren. Both the son and his father were all bluster and had nothing to back them up. Ugh.

Black Siren was weird in this episode cause she's like all of a sudden started to dislike killing. Even torture is not okay for her anymore and this is coming from the woman who literally dropped a building down in Central City when she first popped up. I guess we're supposed to assume that living with Quentin has softened her a little but like most everything else that happened this season, the writing was clunky and came out of nowhere. All aboard the redemption train. On the plus side, I kept waiting for Diaz's temper to snap at her especially as the episode went on and she kept questioning and undermining him so props to Diaz for not being an abusive asshole and saving the anger for later.

Oliver was barely in this episode but we did get some Felicity and Curtis stuff as they refocused on Helix Dynamics now that Felicity was fired from being Overwatch. I liked the slow progression of Felicity's panic because a core part of Felicity that she's mentioned over and over since season 2 is that her biggest fear is losing her loved ones aka Oliver. Now that she's no longer running coms she is basically powerless and that's a terrifying place to be cause for almost 6 seasons she's been right beside Oliver the whole time. I was a little bitter that she told Curtis all the gossip because I'm still pissed at him about the whole split and I don't think it was fair of her to air Oliver's dirty laundry to someone who had no empathy for him.

It looks like next week is going to be another struggle for me cause the promo shows Diaz telling Oliver that he wants to fight one on one with him so basically winner takes all. I don't know how this is supposed to work cause no part of me thinks that Diaz is a better fighter. Like I know in the comics he's supposed to be one of the best but in the show he's only had like one scene and that can't compare to Oliver learning from Slade and Ra's and beating both. The season is winding towards the end and I'm disappointed that we haven't ramped up....

I'll see you all tomorrow night for my Agents of SHIELD review!

The Flash Season 4 Episode 18 Review

What a crazy episode! I really didn't expect the ending to happen the way it did!

Let's start with the elephant in the room! Ralph is dead and DeVoe is now in his body and I'm assuming since he transformed back into DeVoe, we won't be seeing Ralph's body anymore. It was so strange cause I didn't like Ralph at the beginning of the season and I still don't know if I liked him but I do know that I was sad when he died and I was emotional during his speech to Barry about how Team Flash is his only family now and that DeVoe couldn't have them cause they're his. I was wondering if maybe there would be a way to bring him back after he died but based on the final scene of Barry cleaning up Ralph's office, I think that was meant to be a permanent goodbye. It's interesting that DeVoe saved Ralph for last cause it will be fun to see if it'll be harder for Team Flash to fight him in Ralph's body cause I mean look at how much Arrow is struggling with Black Siren who looks like their Laurel.

I kept waiting for Marlize to snap out of her trance during the fight with Iris. I'm not entirely sure why but I thought it might be a good blow to DeVoe if she was able to realize her feelings had gone away while she was away from him so that she'd have long enough to run cause all I want is for to get the hell away from her abusive ass husband by the end of the season. Also DeVoe seriously Marlize isn't falling out of love with you cause you look different, it's cause you're losing your humanity! Now that we've seen what the Thinking Cap did to Harry, I'm wondering if maybe something similar happened to DeVoe because of the Dark Matter cause we know he started out good but somewhere along the way he lost his path. I'm still waiting to find out what the Thinker's big evil plan is cause it's like episode 18 and we still have no clue.

So last week we were all confused about why Harry was with Gideon and why he acted like Eobard but it turns out that he was somehow just using Gideon to pump dark matter into the Thinking Cap for him. I'm not sure how I feel about this cause where is Gideon getting this from?? I liked the idea that he was getting addicted to the Thinking Cap and that Joe was the one to read the signs first cause he's had the experience and my heart broke when he grabbed the Thinking Cap in the end over the tools he needed. Also no lie but I was drinking a cup of tea and I actually gasped out loud and spilt the tea all over myself when Harry smashed the little plane Cisco was building. Poor baby. It looks like maybe whatever the explosion was that knocked Harry out may or may not have actually done the opposite and sucked out his intelligence rather than give him some. Don't ask me how that works. This is the show with time remnants and inconsistent time travel.

I'm also really sad that Caitlin lost her meta powers and I'm really hoping she gets them back by the end of the season. The episode started so sweetly with her telling Iris that she and Frost are sending notes back and forth to each other to keep them updated on what's been going on. I loved that they were becoming friends and I know that Caitlin originally didn't want to have these powers but I feel like now that she's no longer worried about hurting her friends or turning evil, she shouldn't fear them and should want them back. With how often they get hurt, meta powers are super helpful. I wonder where the powers went though cause the way Melting Pot's powers work is that they take meta powers from one and transfer it to another. I know DeVoe touched Marlize and maybe Harry so?

Um next week's promo is super confusing cause it looks like Captain Cold is back and he's working with the team to stop a meta. I assume that this will be another case of let's grab Leonard from Legends Season 1 like it was last season? It's interesting that they will be focusing on a random meta next week instead of DeVoe. I'm excited though cause I love any time Captain Cold is around though I'm sad he popped up just when Caitlin lost her Frost powers.

New Arrow review Thursday night! I'll see you all then!

Supergirl Season 3 Episode 14 Review

Supergirl is finally back after being off for what feels like forever and a day! I loved tonight's episode cause not only did it shine a spotlight on Winn like I've been begging the show to do but we had no Reign which is such a plus cause honestly Supergirl's Big Bads are never the most interesting parts of the seasons which is one of the reasons that I struggle to connect with Supergirl the way I do Arrow or even certain seasons of the Flash. I love Kara and I love how positive this show is but Kara is never actually brought down by her villains like Oliver or Barry and Big Bads don't feel like anything more than villains of the week. The best villains make the hero look at who they are but neither the Kryptonians or Daxamites have emotionally impacted Kara. Reverse Flash killed Barry's mom and made him struggle to realize who he is, Slade and Adrian had personal reasons to despise Oliver and took his mother and his ability to feel like a hero away from him. They make the hero struggle and claw and that's what makes them impactful not just a big fight in the end.

Wow that went away from me huh. Sorry about that word vomit that probs doesn't even make any sense but I had to get those thoughts out cause as soon as they popped into my head, I couldn't think about anything else until I went through them. Like I said I really enjoyed this episode.

Winn was a great character season 1 when he had stuff to play with but ever since he moved to the DEO in season 2, he's been relegated to comic relief and the person to say random solutions to problems when they're needed. I've been saying that it's such a shame cause I've seen Jeremy Jordan act his little butt off in other things so I know he's incredible and I want him to have the chance to show it off. The biggest flaw in the Arrowverse shows (minus Legends) is that they cannot for the life of them write for ensembles. I understand that not all the characters can have the spotlight on them every week and that this is Kara's show but what's the point of having side characters if you can't flesh them out. At least Supergirl does it better than Flash but I'm not sure that's any highlight still.

I loved everything Winn got to do tonight. His anger and torment with his father was incredible and his episode with his father season 1 is still one of my favorites to this day. I loved meeting Winn's mom though she felt off for a major chunk of the episode and I kept waiting for her to turn into like another Toyman like the Trickster family in the Flash but that didn't happen so I wonder why she felt like she didn't really fit in the world. I do hope we see her again. I loved that she was able to prove to Winn that she didn't just up and vanish without first trying to take him with her and I loved how intense Winn was in his confrontation with her. You should feel the anger and frustration in his eyes and I almost cried when he told that story about waiting in the police station for her.

I loved that Winn was able to out-Toyman the Toyman's apprentice in the end and that not only was he able to save his mom but prove to himself once again that he's a badass and nothing like his dad.

Mon El was in a huge chunk of this episode which was fun though I find it hilarious that Kara actually thought that the conversation Mon El wanted to have with her in the end was about Imra and his relationship. Like girl Mon El may be dense sometimes but he's not THAT dense. I assumed at the end of the last week's episode that the secret Imra and Brainiac 5 kept from Mon El had to do with coming to this time period on purpose but I wasn't actually sure why and it's interesting to find out that one of the World Killers is actually the Blight from the 30th Century. That means that Kara either couldn't find Pestilence in the original timeline or she lets it get away cause it needs to be out in the world to evolve. Also it leads me to wonder if maybe if they kill Pestilence now (or find a way to stop her) if that means that certain members of the League of Superheroes with appear or return off screen, members like Lightning Lad perhaps? I know I know but we all know that Kara and Mon El are going to get back together at some point this season and why not soften the blow to Imra by introducing her comic book love interest?

Also sidebar Mon El fighting that T-Rex with a blanket and calling his moves "cape tricks" was everything.

We also got some really sad stuff with J'onn's father. He has dementia and though I guessed it immediately from the DEO pizza scene, it was not any less impactful seeing Alex put the pieces together slowly over the dinner and then confronting M'rynn about it gently. I almost cried again when he told Alex and then J'onn later in the episode that J'onn just got his father back and that it would unfair for J'onn to now have to watch him die slowly and lose him all over again. I actually did cry in the end when J'onn came to the bar to find Alex and when she knew right away what happened that she ran over to hug him. I always love Dad!J'onn.

The episode ended with a shot of Lena in some warehouse keeping Sam locked up. It's been so long that I forgot that Lena found out about Sam acting weird in the office and I want to say that maybe it's Lena's Luthor genes causing her to lock up someone in a sketchy place but let's be honest the DEO does the same thing so pot meet kettle. I really hope that Lena finds out about Sam being Reign first cause it'll be fun to watch and it'd be nice if our heroes find out who Reign is earlier rather than latter.

Next week's promo shows that maybe we find Pestilence or maybe we find effects of her attack cause it seems to early in the season to find and stop her especially when this seems to be a Legion problem. Lena is also going to be studying Sam and maybe it looks like Reign will come out? Oh and the best part, we're finally going to see Mon El's Valor suit!!! It looks great in the one shot we saw and I can't wait to see it and see everyone's reactions to it. It's the opposite colors of Supergirl's costume and they literally will look perfect on screen side by side. I can't wait!

Don't forget to tune into my Flash review tomorrow night!

Arrow Season 6 Episode 18 Review

Tonight's episode of Arrow was really really good and I very much enjoyed every single moment of the episode but I'm not entirely sure if I like where we ended up. I've been wondering all season what the endgame for this whole team split storyline is and whether we can even go back and now I'm more confused cause it seems like we've reached a verdict but since we're still a few episodes out from the finale, I can't decide if this is one of those Oliver comes to a wrong decision before coming to the right one again.

So this episode was very Oliver-centric with few characters popping in and out and I really enjoyed it. I've been so sick of the recruits recently and I've been begging the show to give me more Queen family moments so I was thrilled tonight. I know we're watching Arrow which is a superhero show so we need to focus on the crime fighting but some of my favorite episodes of Arrow have been more of the character focused ones. I adore seeing Oliver and Felicity and William being a family and I love every bonding moment we see between William and Felicity and how on board William is now with Oliver being the Green Arrow. I grinned from ear to ear when William eavesdropped on Felicity on the phone with Quentin and how he brought her sneakers to chase down Oliver with and how he forgave Oliver almost immediately after finding out what really happened.

Also like I called it last week, I did not believe that Felicity would have left Oliver tonight cause honestly if she didn't leave him any of the other times he was wrong (especially after their breakup when she was still business as usual), why would she leave now? I had heard that this episode contained Oliver hallucinating so the moment Felicity appeared in the bunker and was like we need space I called bull. It was such a Oliver fearing the worst moment cause she wouldn't want to divorce him just because he yelled at her and William. Duh. I loved that she was the one to pull him out of his Vertigo trip and my heart melted at how he looked at her in the bunker afterwards when she called him her man. I'm not thrilled that he fired her but I hope this means we'll get more Helix Dynamics next week.

Speaking of firings, Oliver was impeached this week and damn if Diaz doesn't have the deepest pockets EVER. Like where is he getting all this money to buy every single person in any position of power?? It's very smart though. Drugging Oliver with Vertigo to make him look incompetent in front of the City Council while also forcing him into a corner where the only way he can prove that the DA and police captain were on the take is to prove he's the Green Arrow. I didn't think of that last week when the DA and Captain Hill tried to out him but it worked really well for me. Now it sounds like Diaz's next plan is to let the world know Star City is ripe for the picking? Like does he mean to other gangs and stuff? What's his endgame now that Diaz owns Star City?

Speaking of endgames, like I mentioned at the top, the show seems to have come to a conclusion about where they want Oliver to be and I don't know if I like it. Somehow the show is trying to convince me that by Oliver wanting to be someone outside of the Green Arrow costume, he's not focused enough anymore and that someone having a team is pulling him away from making good decisions? Bullshit. Plenty of heroes have two lives and are doing it well. And of course he needs backup in situations where he's outnumbered. Also if we're being honest, Oliver was only solo in season one for like 3 episodes before Diggle joined in episode 4 and Felicity in episode 14 so where was the whole I'm better when I'm alone thing coming from? I have always thought that the whole team thing did pull the focus a bit away from Oliver but I think he NEEDS Diggle and Felicity at the very least. There's a difference between six people and three.

I'm hoping that this I need to be alone thing is one of those Oliver makes a terrible decision moments like last season when he hung up the Green Arrow suit for an episode or two. We do know that Roy is coming back next season as a series regular so I have to believe this solo thing won't work. I really wouldn't mind if it went back to season 2 (which was my favorite team Arrow btw) with Felicity, Oliver, Diggle and Roy. I also wouldn't mind if Diggle stuck with ARGUS as long as he could still be a big part of the show. The recruits can stay on too if they want but as their own team that does their own thing and teams up with Oliver every once in a while even though I'd prefer if they just left.

Kind of sidebar but I still think the best thing for Oliver to do is to out himself as Green Arrow and be the mayor like in the comics because that way this whole trial thing can be over and he won't be stretched too thin anymore. Like I still don't truly understand why he's being put on trial for that cause as far as the general public knows Green Arrow is a hero and you don't see anyone asking for Flash or Supergirl to go to jail! The whole if I outed myself then enemies would come for my family thing is also kind of a silly reason to keep hidden cause every villain Oliver has had already knows his secret identity.

Next week's promo shows a bunch of Diaz so hopefully we'll finally get to find out what he wants to do now that he's in charge. We also get some worried Felicity and Felicity with Curtis so maybe more company stuff for her which is fine with me. I can't wait! This season has been super touch and go for me and I haven't had much fun with the whole split thing but if the season ends well, it could be redeemed for me.

The Flash Season 4 Episode 17 Review

Tonight's episode of the Flash was a mixed bag. There was some stuff I was really into and the ending was epic but most of the rest of the stuff in the episode was so boring I'm sad to say.

Let's start with the Cisco, Caitlin and Breacher stuff. I loved that he returned this week though I expected Gypsy as well but what we got was fun. It's always funny to see Breacher hate Cisco. I guess we're also supposed to think that Cisco and Gypsy are still hanging out off screen but for some reason I was really expecting them to break up or for Cisco to talk about them breaking up especially when Cisco mentioned how he hadn't seen Gypsy in a while. I still low key ship Cisco and Caitlin so maybe that's why I've never been huge on Cisco and Gypsy. I don't really understand why they can be together but Jesse and Wally cannot when both couples have the exact same problems of distance between them.

I was wondering what the whole point of Breacher retiring was but the fact that it led to Breacher asking Cisco to join the team with Gypsy was great. It would make sense for Cisco to leave cause right now he is pretty pointless on Team Flash cause Iris seems to run comms now and Harry can do all the tech-y stuff. Honestly for a lot of this season Cisco and Caitlin have had nothing to do and it's a struggle cause I can't decide if the problem is with there being too many members of Team Flash or if it's cause the writers are terrible and can't write for more than one or two people an episode. Someone should really call up the Legends writers to learn how to balance multiple characters.

Anyway high key want Cisco to join Gypsy but I also don't want him to leave the show. It would be so much fun if he did but if we could check in with him every few episodes like the justice league cartoons did in juggling multiple storylines. Or better yet do A and B storylines like they do but instead have the B plot be a totally different story. I've been begging the show to do this with Iris cause like you all know by now I want her to have a real storyline and what I wouldn't give for her to get a Lois Lane storyline where she's investigating something all season that leads to an answer that the Flash was looking for. iZombie did this type of story really well season 1 and I always harken back to it as one of the best stories given to the romantic love interest.

Ralph is exhausting. I'll never not be bitter over how so many characters were written over to service Ralph but as the season progressed he grew on me. Tonight though I was totally on board with Barry and I get where Ralph was coming from in the end and how Iris thought that Barry was running over Ralph's ideas but I cannot stand when someone jokes around while I'm trying to get something done even if the person is joking cause they're worried or scared. Also I love how Barry was like let Ralph think outside the box to fix the problem in the end and I'm like he didn't even do anything all that strange or new. Like that was my first thought for Ralph to cuff her and then catch Barry. Duh. Also the show keeps trying to give Barry reasons to leave everyone else behind and they need to get better cause they've been getting dumber and dumber. Caitlin and Cisco can't help cause they're busy with Breacher who left already?

My favorite part of the episode was the stuff with DeVoe and his wife who I feel so so bad for. I loved that she was able to figure out what is happening to her and how DeVoe is drugging her into being compliant and how she apparently has done this over and over but it seems like the time in between is getting shorter and shorter. I can't wait until she kicks DeVoe's ass cause I need her to. I really do wonder what their big plan is cause like DeVoe said it's her humanity that could ruin everything and I'm like so why did she agree to this in the first place and did you change the plan halfway through when you went insane? My blood boiled when he said that line about how she is nothing without him. Dude you're nothing without her otherwise you wouldn't be drugging her to keep her by your side.

The final scene with Harry and Gideon was also interesting and I'm left wondering if Harry is pretending to be Eobard in Harrison Wells' body or if somehow Eobard is back or if maybe the helmet causes Harry to become Eobard. It just seems silly to me that Harry would pretend to be Eobard in front of a computer who probs doesn't care anyway.

Next week's episode looks really good and I cannot wait! They're fighting DeVoe already and it looks like everyone is going to be injured! I wonder if the last bus meta will be found next week or if they'll hope to skip ahead and just stop DeVoe.

Don't forget to tune into my Arrow review Thursday night!

Legends of Tomorrow Season 3 Episode 18 Review

What the actual hell even is this show? I can't even explain how much I love this show. This season has definitely been my favorite of the three cause I've finally learned to turn off my brain when watching it and expecting the dumbest things to not only happen but also work! I really enjoyed the finale and I only really had one big problem.

Let's start with the stuff in the Wild West. That was the weirdest time to pick to go to and honestly the fact that pirates, Romans and Vikings were all there was kind of a moot point. They were just bodies for the Legends and co to take down. Not that I'm complaining cause I had a blast with the whole sequence and it allowed for the return of Jax who is apparently married and has a kid and somehow lived 5 years to the Legends few months, Helen of Troy who is a badass Amazonian now and Kuasa who is now sharing the Spirit Totem with Mari and I get why that has to happen but that sucks for Mari! I still don't know why we couldn't have her pop up at all this season especially when it was so heavy on the Vixen mythos. We also got the return of Jonah Hex who had this weird flirtation thing with Zari and I was living for it.

This show kills me with it's humor and I died when the Legends were trying to combine their Totems and made some weird alien looking blob monster who Mick killed right away. His constant remarks about whether they were making a baby or not made me break a rib with how hard I was laughing. High Nate was a favorite of mine this season too so it was great to bring that back around. But let's be honest the absolute best part was when the Legends created a giant Bebo to fight Mallus and I cried when it appeared.

Sidebar Wally is still my precious little cinnamon roll and I've been loving seeing him get more airtime although somehow he's become a millennial hipster now and it's killing me every week. He's so excited to be here and I love him. It's such a contrast to pretty much everyone else on the team which is why I think he works so well and is definitely a breath of fresh air. I can't wait to see more of him next season and I can't wait until he gets one of those episodes centered around him. I do kind of hope to see him on Flash again before that season ends but I highly doubt that.

By the by Rip Hunter is officially dead and I was completely thrown cause I wasn't expecting a major death in the very beginning of the episode. It was even weirder when the tone shifted from slightly depressing to jovial in a few minutes and I think that might be my only complaint with this episode. I loved Rip and I'm not exactly thrilled that his death meant so little to our crew and honestly the whole thing felt a bit surreal cause I kept expecting a loophole with how no one cared to mention it again. I thought for a second that maybe the creature they would make out of the amulets might be Rip cause he did just die but that wasn't true either.

Honestly though this whole season was a mix up cause so many changes occurred. Stein, Rip and Darhk died. Jax and Amaya left. Wally, Zari and Constantine joined the Legends and Ava was promoted to series regular next season. I am excited for next season cause I can't wait to see what happens. I was honestly surprised that Nate didn't leave with Amaya and I'm so over Mick but he seems to be sticking around.

I will be posting a top 10 episodes of the season at some point so keep an eye out for that post in the future and don't forget to check out my Flash review tomorrow night!

Agents of SHIELD Season 5 Episode 16 Review

This week's SHIELD episode was fun cause not only am I loving the callbacks to previous seasons but also I'm loving where our characters are this season as well!

Let's start with my favorite part of the episode and that was the Fitz/Simmons/YoYo/Mack stuff in the Lighthouse. I loved everything about all these scenes from how YoYo apologized to Fitzsimmons for Deke being their grandson and Fitz being all thank you like it was a deep problem to Mack worrying about YoYo's prosthetic arms and being all mechanic on them to how completely insane Jemma and YoYo were with the acid test. I loved how Jemma and YoYo didn't believe Fitz's acting would be on par if they told him the plan and scared him half to death thinking Jemma was dying for real. Sidebar that hand wave thing he did to Jemma to tell her to come here was so hot and I don't even know why. Locking Mack in the cell was also hilarious and I can't wait for next week to see the Invincible Three kick ass and take names.

Sidebar, I don't understand the Invincible Three thing cause the whole point of what they're trying to do is to change the future so why would they want to stay in the loop and prove that they can't be killed? I do love that it's making this trio sort of fearless but I'm worried one of them is actually going to die to prove that the loop is broken.

Speaking of Fitzsimmons we got another funny scene with Deke and Fitz and I'm living for these. Like give me a new character learning who Deke is every episode and I'll be perfectly content tbh.

Daisy and May went to find Robin to see if she could tell them where Coulson was and it was crazy to see her call Robin her mom and the look on Robin's actual mom's face was heartbreaking. I loved the talk she had in the end with May about how she knows that she will die cause she hasn't seen herself in any of Robin's future pictures. Sidebar, am I the only one who's surprised at how everyone seems to be able to decipher what those pictures show while I'm over here like well those are a bunch of weird looking scribbles. Also I understand what the show was portraying but who actually thinks that three mountain peaks would have actually brought Daisy to Coulson? Like straight up those could have been any three mountains!

The stuff in the bunker with Coulson and Talbot and Creel was fun as well. I kind of love how much Creel loves Talbot and how immediately after he found out that Hale was keeping Talbot captive that he switched sides. Talbot is still heartbreaking and he and Fitz will have plenty to bond over! I hope since Creel was captured safely that he won't be killed immediately cause he's pretty fun and always reminds me of Kevin from Ben10. I was living for all of Talbot's jokes and I loved how he and Coulson escaped creatively using that space portal thing though maybe they really should have picked a better coordinate. You would think either Coulson or Talbot in their many years of secret agent/military service would be able to read coordinates.

The Gravitonium stuff was really interesting and I wonder if this means we're finally going to see Graviton as a villain-ish. I loved that we saw Raina pre-Terregenis and Ian Quinn again and that the Gravitonium hated Quinn enough to want to swallow him. It's interesting that the Gravitonium seems to be alive and have feelings which makes me wonder how much of it is the Gravitonium itself and how much is actually Hall and now Quinn inside the Gravitonium. I hope we explore this more cause I'm fascinated!

Sidebar who definitely thought Ruby was going to kill her mom tonight? Ruby seems 110% over what her mom wants and if Hale isn't going to give her what she wants, why keep her around especially since it seems like Von Strucker is into her!

Next week looks like Ruby and Daisy will finally meet and face off. Tbh I don't know how it's even going to be a fight cause now that Daisy's inhibitor is off, Ruby has no chance cause Daisy is so much stronger. I hope we also get to see Fitz/Simmons/YoYo fight and actually find the Destroyer of Worlds chamber cause that would go far in redeeming Fitz in the eyes of the others though I'm still surprised that Daisy is the only one who's really pissed. I also kind of hope that if this is the last season of SHIELD the way I feel like it is with how the season seems to be wrapping up loose threads that we get Robbie one last time!

Arrow Season 6 Episode 17 Review

Where to even begin with tonight's episode of Arrow. I am so emotionally exhausted by everything that's happening in this season that I don't even know where to begin.

I've hated this team split thing since it happened and I kept wondering where the show would take it but now the show has broken up John Diggle and Oliver Queen for literally the dumbest reason ever and I cannot even anymore. Diggle stuck around after League of Assassins Oliver put his daughter in danger but a few bad calls now and again this season is it? That's a line too far? Jesus. I am glad that the fight between Oliver and Diggle wasn't actually based on Diggle wanting to be the Green Arrow and that there was more underneath but honestly the reason why was so paper thin it just felt like the show was trying to split up the remaining team and they didn't really know how. I guess all that's left now is for Oliver to snap at Felicity and get her to back away from the team for a minute.

It's all completely ridiculous but I guess if there's one shred of silver lining in this cloud it's that Diggle didn't turn to the newbies and went to ARGUS instead. I always love when Lyla pops up on the show and I kind of love the idea of Diggle and Lyla doing ARGUS missions together like the Suicide Squad episodes we had a few seasons ago. I'm also glad that Diggle and Oliver didn't leave on bad terms and that leads me to hope that he'll come back if needed.

Speaking of, I'm so utterly confused about this mess cause how on Earth is this season going to end. Are we going to go forward with three different teams: Oliver and Felicity, ARGUS and the newbies? It just seems kind of crazy to think that all the teams will combine in the end cause I really don't know how we're going to get that. Both the newbies and Diggle just don't want to be led by Oliver and with Oliver not only being the main character on this show but also refusing to put down the hood, I don't see how a reconciliation can occur unless Oliver gets down on his knees and begs which leaves such a sour taste in my mouth.

What must Oliver do to be a good leader? He's a bad leader when he is the Green Arrow alone. He's a bad leader when he finally trusts everyone on the team. He's a bad leader when he's betrayed and confronts it. He's a bad leader for trying to have a life outside of the hood. He's a bad leader when anyone on his team has any sort of struggle. Why does everyone put everything on him? And what is the show trying to say about this? Oliver is the main character but all this show has done is shit all over him.

Oh and there's some stuff going on with the newbies. They capture Anatoli with the help of like six cops and then Diaz tries to kill them and then Hill fires them all. Woo. Also Curtis's new boyfriend cop seems to still be good and is okay with Curtis being Mr Terrific so yay?

The sad thing is that I feel like I would really like this season if not for the team split thing cause I actually super enjoy Diaz and his evil plan is super solid. He's bought or threatened pretty much everyone in the city and Oliver had no idea. I love that he's using Oliver's trial as the Green Arrow as a petty reason why Oliver fired Hill and the DA to prevent the public from finding out they were dirty. I love his weird chemistry with Black Siren and I kind of love them being all evil together. I want to see more of this please and much much less of the 'Oliver is shit' train.

Ha the promo for next week shows Felicity saying she wants some space and tbh I'm 90% sure she doesn't mean that she wants to leave Oliver or Team Arrow but if it does mean that she's leaving too, I will literally throw something. I have had it with this bull and I cannot stomach anymore. I can't wait to see more of Diaz and his evil plan. I heard that Oliver will be dosed with something so that might be fun to see too.

I'll see you all tomorrow night for my Agents of SHIELD review!

xoxo Allie
