The Flash Season 3 Episode 21 Review

Tonight's episode of the Flash was really fun which I kind of had a feeling it was going to be after watching the promo for the episode. I loved so many parts of the episode so let's dive right in!

So first of all, who else loved this amnesia Barry Allen? I am sick of broody Barry and I have been all season. He is just not as good at it as Oliver is so I don't need it! My favorite part of season 1 of Arrow was how happy Barry was to have his powers and in the past two seasons, Barry has done nothing but brood in how his powers are ruining his life which is why I think I ended up loving Supergirl and Arrow more this season. I mean Barry has never been my favorite Flash and everyone knows that but something about the writing really just takes all the fun out of what I did enjoy of Barry. I loved seeing him excited to have his powers and be all flirty with Iris and comedic in the courthouse. Remember that Barry who guest starred on Arrow? Forgetting how bitter I am that a storyline that literally features Iris used her to future Barry's manpain and relegate her to sad looks in the background, I finally felt the love between Iris and Barry tonight! It's been so long since we got a real look at their love rather than hearing it from a cast member.

The jokes were on point tonight. How hilarious was it when Wally told Barry that they were brothers and Barry checked his skin tone to make sure that he wasn't black. Or the glasses that Julian used and he typed too quickly for Barry to read? And one of the best parts, when he asked everyone to call him Bart Allen which is probs where Iris and Barry get the name for their future son!

I also loved seeing more of Killer Frost as a character rather than just a villain and after tonight's episode I'm wondering if maybe Savitar promised Killer Frost that he'd get her Ronnie back based on her weird reaction to the team asking her what Savitar promised her and the odd look on her face when Cisco mentioned Ronnie. In fact the fact that the show even mentioned Ronnie at all tonight made me wonder if that's what Caitlin might want cause Ronnie is Caitlin's one true love. The ending where she told Julian that she never loved him made me chuckle but I don't know how much of what she said was true cause she promptly told Barry and Cisco that she never loved them either which isn't true so who knows. According to Danielle Panabaker, Killer Frost is going to be around for the rest of the season which means that love will not cure Caitlin like before although from the final shot we got of Killer Frost, her hold on Caitlin seems to be wavering the more she's around Team Flash.

Oh and we got some answers on Savitar. He's a leftover time remnant which kind of soothes all of my annoyances with him from last week cause I believe an alternate version of Barry could go evil not our specific Barry especially if the team and everyone he loved didn't know how to treat this second copy of Barry. I've never thought about how truly terrible making time remnants is. Like these aren't just shadows but real people who have their own thoughts and feelings. Creating them only to be cannon fodder? Yikes.

Next week is the return of Captain Cold!!!! Hell yes. Now my only question is whether this a past version of Leonard cause the current one is dead unless the end of Legends brought him back to life (PLEASE let this be the case!!) but if he is a past one, jesus Barry how many times are you going to screw the timeline? We also get more King Shark which is pretty epic so maybe we'll get some Lyla and Argus too cause that's where we last saw King Shark!

Don't forget to check out my Agents of SHIELD review later tonight and my Arrow review tomorrow night!

xoxo Allie
